Daniel arrived at his single-bed cabin with a private balcony and released Bruce, his Machop, from his Pokeball. Bruce climbed onto the bed, feeling the soft sheets as Daniel stepped onto the balcony, watching the boat leave the port.
He smiled, feeling the wind blow through his hair."This is life. I'm glad I decided to go to Kanto," He said as Bruce hung onto the railing."Don't you agree?" He asked.
"Ma, chop, Machop[Yes, it was an excellent decision.]" Bruce said.
Daniel chuckled."You know, I never get used to the fact I can understand Pokemon," He said."Though if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't haven't escaped those Beedrill of you didn't tell me where to go."
"Chop, Machop [I probably could of show you the way out without you understanding me.]."
"That is true," Daniel said with a laugh."So what should we do first? We could grab some food since you didn't eat breakfast or relax in bed."
A loud rumble from Bruce's stomach suggested food. Daniel smiled at Bruce's embarrassed face."It looks like the answer is to grab food. So let's go!"
"Machop! [Yes, food time!]." Bruce said happily.
"Your quite something, Bruce. Let's get some food," Daniel said, walking towards the door to grab lunch with Bruce hanging onto his shoulder as they left the room.
Daniel and Bruce roamed the Lido deck as they headed towards the dining area. Daniel and Bruce spotted a few hundred people at least on the deck.
Most people looked like Pokemon trainers of varied experience, some around his age or older, talking among others about Pokemon or showing off their Pokemon coats.
Waiters bustle about serving food and drinks. There was a band playing music on the stage as well, with a few Pokemon helpers.
"Woah, this is a fantastic look at the pool party of Pokemon," Daniel commented, looking at the pool full of mostly water Pokemon and their trainers.
"Chop, [Where are we eating?] Bruce asked.
"I'm not sure, Bruce. There are a lot of choices. I expected a small buffet, not this massive selection of food. It almost seems like a cruise ship for a cheaper ticket than a cruise ship. You would think this was a cruise with this food," Daniel commented.
The next moment he heard a voice from behind him."Well, you're not on a cruise if you're on this boat."
He turned around to see a familiar cream skin boy with Turquoise shoulder-length hair and ocean-blue eyes wearing a white sleeveless vest and dark blue shirt underneath, and grey pants. Sitting on his shoulder was a Mudkip.
"However, I didn't expect you to be on this boat, Danny boy," The boy mocked.
"Wade, don't call me," Daniel said, annoyed.
"Whatever," Wade said as Mudkip and Bruce jumped down on the ground and greeted each other.
Wade put his hands into his pocket and glanced at Daniel."Have you eaten already?" He asked.
"Not yet were actually figuring out what to eat now, but then couldn't decide with all the options. Anything look good to you?"
"There's a deli just pass the buffet line. The sandwiches seem decent to me," Wade replied.
"Alright, lead the way," Daniel said, gesturing or Wade to go first.
Daniel got an avocado and olive sandwich, and Wade got a salad wrap with veggies and eggs.
Now they were seated at a table next to a railing away from the commotion, watching Wailord swimming by. Bruce and Mudkip were enjoying the peace but not a fan of sharing their food, a massive bowl of Oran berries and Pecha berries cut up on brown Pokemon food pellets.
Daniel chuckled as Bruce pouted and patted his head."Don't be that way. It is only for today. Once we get to Kanto, you can eat all the food to yourself. That sounds good."
"Machop.[Yes, it does.]"
Bruce was then satisfied and ate his meal alongside Mudkip.
"Mind if I ask you something, Danny boy?" Wade asked.
"If you stop calling me that, then yes," Daniel replied.
Wade rolled his eyes."Don't be extra. I've called you that since we met at a Summer camp."
Daniel took a bite of his sandwich before looking at Wade."What is it you want to ask me?"
"What exactly are you even going to Kanto for?" Wade asked.
"Oh, I'm going to Pokemon tech, of course, and Bruce and I are going to become the top students," Daniel said with a bright smile as his partner Machop climbed onto his shoulder.
"So you're entering the Kanto League, right?"
"Well, obviously, to become the world's greatest Pokemon Champion, I need to give it my shot to win as many leagues and battles as possible, and I have a better chance of doing so by learning at Pokemon tech," Daniel stated."What about you?"
"For your information, I will be entering Pokemon tech and will be the world's greatest Pokemon champion," Wade stated, glaring at Daniel.
"We see about that, Wade," Daniel said, standing up and tossing away his empty plate."Let's go, Bruce, catch you around Wade," He said.
"Yeah, Danny boy," Wade said.
"Stop that," Daniel muttered as he and Bruce returned to the cabin.
Soon as they made it back to the room, Daniel got comfortable in pajamas as he and Bruce talked about everything that awaited them at Pokemon Tech before the two drifted off the sleep as the sun went down after a large bowl of popcorn and drinking warm tea.
To be continued...
This is the second chapter of my first Pre Ash Ketchum journey story and one starting in Pokemon tech. So hopefully, it turns out well. Let me know what you think in the comments.
