Chapter 30 Close Encounters
Jack let May's last words marinate in his brain. He couldn't get the thought of a pregnant May, tits leaking, and dripping with desire out of his mind. He'd never really thought pregnant chicks were hot or anything with their big, swollen, bellies, but something about a woman's fertility just got to him. How they were so horny and full of desire they were willing to cripple themselves for an extended period of time...
"You staring at my ass or what?" May teased. Jack realized he'd fallen a number of steps behind. "I'm the rear guard, not the guarded rear."
"My bad." Jack hustled to catch up to May.
"I need to change the topic. Can't have my spats get soggy."
"That's a weird mental image." Jack teased. He quickly thought of anything that came to mind that wasn't May's pussy soaking her underwear. "Soooo... The Hoenn Master tournament, how'd you prepare you and your team for it?"
"Which year? I'm in Alola to prepare for the upcoming one." May replied.
"Oh yeah." Jack realized the Hoenn Masters tournament was just a month away. "Well, how about your first..."
May grunted. "My dad recommended I just train against wild Pokemon in Ever Grande, and not practice against future competitors. I understand he wanted me to keep my strategies in the dark, but I really would've benefitted from going against high caliber trainers. Be forced to adapt when my strategies didn't work, y'know?"
"Makes sense."
"Which is why I didn't make it out of group stages that year." May said sheepishly. "But the year after I went really hard. Switched a couple Pokemon out from my team, and got them going. I did a lot more of the local competitions too. I won the Fortree Cup."
Jack was surprised, he hadn't heard about that. "Damn that's impressive."
May shrugged. "Well, it was the smallest turnout in the past ten years. Lilycove's got moved up a week and you know how that one's got way bigger prize money..."
"Yeah." Jack nodded. Slateport and Lilycove had the biggest prize pools of the local tournaments, which attracted the strongest trainers.
"No one wanted to show off their strategies." May reasoned.
"But still, no one can take that away from you."
May smiled. "Thanks..."
"So when it came to the last months of prep..." Jack began to ask.
"I stayed in Ever Grande City but actually practiced with other trainers. You saw that guy Wally that won it last year?" May asked.
"Yeah."
"I scrimmaged him a few times. Actually took a battle off him."
Jack's eyebrows rose. "That's amazing."
"My Blaziken didn't matchup well against his Gallade though..." And so the conversation went on for another half hour. May told him her favorite stories from adventuring around Hoenn. He even found himself regretting the fact he didn't ever go up to the top of Mt. Chimney, or fight off Sharpedos around Mossdeep.
"You're making me really want to go back to Hoenn..." Jack said.
May laughed. "Well, I'm not sure trading a paradise like this for boring old Hoenn would be smart. I'm sure there are plenty of adventures to do here in Alola."
"Like we're on right now?" Misty's voice interrupted.
Jack and May both looked ahead of them and noticed Hala, Zinnia, and Misty all staring at them, sitting down on some rocks in a clearing.
"Break time?" Jack asked, sounding a lot more relieved than he'd wanted.
"Yeah." Hala said. "We're maybe a mile away from the site, and the worst of the uphill is done."
"Thank goodness!" Jack said, swinging his backpack around and grabbing his water bottle and taking long drink of water.
"Anyone need to go to the bathroom?" May asked, Jack noticed May eyeing him intently.
He put the water bottle down and raised his hand. "Yeah, I do."
"I'll go watch him. Make sure we don't repeat what happened earlier." May explained. Jack saw Misty and Zinnia smirking, knowing exactly what was happening.
Once they were a decent bit away from the clearing and properly hidden behind some bushes, Jack took May's hand. May looked at him, lust in her eyes, but a certain vulnerability as well. Something about that look just made him fall even harder for her. He pulled her closer to him and kissed her.
"Finally some alone time..." May cooed.
"Yeah." Jack agreed, seeing a log and thinking there probably wouldn't be a better place. He guided May over to it.
"A log?" May asked, testing him.
"There don't happen to be an picnic tables nearby, but I'll keep an eye out." Jack joked back. "What are you, afraid of splinters?"
May grinned softly and curved her neck. "If I feel any splinters you're clearly not doing a good job."
"We can't have that can we?" Jack said, expecting no answer as he lunged at her, fiercely making out with May. Their hands were in a frenzy, rubbing, caressing, and grabbing any part of the other's body, trying to force the other's soul into their own. This went on for nearly a minute until Jack needed to catch his breath. "You're one hell of a kisser." Jack observed.
"You're not too bad yourself." May replied, her hands beginning to pull off her shirt.
Part of him wanted to protest, maybe they wouldn't have the time to get all changed back into their clothes. But his lust prevailed. He'd dreamed of seeing May's enormous breasts for longer than he wanted to admit. Once May liberated her breasts from her sports bra, Jack beheld one of the most glorious sights he'd ever seen.
May's breasts were absolutely perfect; Enormous, with small, erect nipples and gravity defying as they didn't sag at all. "How is that even possible..." Jack thought to himself. It was probably the last coherent thought in his mind before he began stripping down himself.
"You like what you see?" May asked, a little shyly.
"Well I'm gonna need to add another 'wonder' to the world wonder list." Jack said in disbelief.
"Oh, you like my breasts that much?" May teased.
Jack finished getting his pants down and took a step toward the buxom, naked beauty. "No... You."
They attacked each other once more, panting with desire. Before he knew it, May was on the log and had maneuvered his cock inside her. "What about foreplay?" Jack asked.
"No foreplay... breed me daddy." May moaned.
Jack needed no other encouragement as he thrusted himself into a rhythm. His mouth found her neck, and he kissed it when he had breath. He managed to balance himself with one hand, and the free one found May's breasts and cupped it.
"That's the... stuff..." May cooed.
He wasn't sure he'd fucked a girl as tight as May before. For all the warmth, softness, and wetness that made his cock feel amazing, something about her pussy was different. It was like it had a mind of its own, grinding against manhood, like it was trying to milk him itself. "It's like your pussy's... grabbing me..." Jack grunted between thrusts. "Like you're built... for breeding..."
"Yes, fucking breed me Jack." May grunted back. "Cum inside me daddy." May said, her voice struggling to stay afloat.
He felt his loins begin to already swell with cum and Jack closed his eyes, trying to keep it forced.
"We don't have time for me to cum..." May said. "Please... unload..."
Jack kept his rhythm going, and knew he wouldn't be able to last. "May, I'm gonna..."
"Make me a mommy, FUCK!" May cried out. "I want to have babies- SO MANY BABIES-UUUUUUHHH!" May belted out.
With that, his manhood could take no more. He blasted rope after rope deep into May's pussy. He felt his whole body go limp as the haze of pleasure overtook him. When his mind began to function again, he found his face resting on May's breasts.
"Thanks, Jack..." May cooed.
"May that was wonderful." Jack said, lifting his head up and giving her a kiss.
"I can feel so much going on..." May said. "Inside me..."
Jack took a deep breath. "You trying to be the first pregnant champion in Hoenn history?"
May giggled. "Maybe..."
"How long does Hala's training program last?" Jack asked.
May grimaced. "Four more weeks."
Jack looked deep in her eyes, her gaze made him feel so small sometimes. Part of him wanted to ask her to never go back to Hala or Hoenn, to just stay with him and breed. But he respected her, she'd spent who knew how long training with Hala and preparing for the Hoenn Master Tournament. It wouldn't be fair to ask her to choose.
"May... when you're done with the Master Tournament, I want you to come back to Alola." Jack confessed. "Part of me wants to ask you to forsake everything and come live with me, but that's not fair to you-" He paused as he saw a tear drip out of May's big blue eyes.
"Thanks Jack..." May said, smiling. She blinked and shook her head. "Okay I think Hala's gonna start looking for us soon."
"Shit, yeah." Jack said, dislodging himself from May. "I promise I last much longer usually-"
May smiled proudly. "With me I think that's the longest you'll go."
Jack wanted to retort back, but part of him doubted she was wrong. He got dressed, grabbing some of May's clothes she'd tossed during the lust-filled frenzy.
"I'll catch up, go tell Hala we're okay." May instructed as she fidgeted with her bra.
"Got you." Jack said, turning around and making his way back to the clearing with an extra pep in his step.
He was just a few feet out of sight of May when he felt a sudden heat against his chest. "The fuck?" He said, reaching at his shirt and feeling the Z-Crystal Kukui had given him. He pulled his shirt's collar away from his body and noticed the Z-Crystal glowing very brightly. His heart began pounding. "Am I supposed to be wearing this?" He asked himself. He looked up to find May or Hala, but instead saw something bizarre floating a dozen feet in front of him.
It had a black upper body and orange lower body, its arms like wings with bright yellow shells on them. It had what looked to be an orange and yellow mohawk coming out of its head. Jack realized if he moved, the creature could easily attack him. Considering it was unlike any Pokemon he'd ever seen, he doubted any of his Pokemon would even stand a chance of delaying it. He remained still, remembering to breath as the bizarre creature eyed him, levitating fifteen feet in the air. It grunted loudly and glared directly at him.
"Fuck-fuck-fuck-fuck." He thought, expecting his life to end in that moment.
But instead, the creature seemed to nod its head and zipped off into the trees.
"Holy shit..." Jack said, breathing deeply. "That was weird." Jack felt the heat from the Z-Crystal started to fade. He pulled it out of his shirt and studied it. The glow faded with the heat, until it was lightless.
"Hey, I told you to find Hala-" May's voice called out to him.
Jack turned around, still in shock from the encounter with the mysterious creature. "Something just happened."
"What?" May said casually. She then saw something in Jack's eyes as marched over to him. "Oh shit, what happened?" Sounding much more serious.
Jack shook his head. "This weird creature popped up in front of me, something I've never seen before. And this Z-Crystal-" He held up the chain. "...Started glowing, and it was really hot."
"Why do you have that Z-Crystal?' May asked. She studied it further and her jaw dropped. "Is that the sign of the Tapus!"
Jack turned the crystal to him and noticed the design looked a little like a tiki. "The Tapus... Like Tapu Koko?" He asked, remembering Hala mentioning something about it.
"Yeah! It's the guardian of Melemele " May exclaimed. "We gotta tell Hala about this."
Jack held May's hand as she led him back to the clearing where Zinnia was playing with her Hakamo-o.
"About time you two." Misty teased knowingly.
"You missed the shouting contest." Hala said with a laugh.
"Shouting contest?" Jack asked, rather confused. One look from Zinnia made him understand it was a cover for him and May. "We weren't exactly quiet..." He remembered.
"Hala, look at what Jack's got." May said, pointing to the chain in his hand.
Jack showed the Z-Crystal and Hala gasped. "How did you get that?" He roared, anger suddenly in his voice.
"I was given it..." Jack said. "Kukui said he got it from my dad, who gave it to him for safe-keeping... What's the issue?"
Hala took a deep breath to calm himself. "That Z-Crystal is one of a kind, something that's been lost to the Kahunas for decades."
"Oh..." Jack said, suddenly feeling rather guilty. "Do you want it back?" He offered it to Hala.
"Hala..." May said lowly. "I think he encountered Tapu Koko just now."
"What?" Hala grunted.
"He said the Z-Crytal got hot and began to glow-" May explained.
"It did?" Hala asked in shock.
"Yeah..." Jack said.
"What did Tapu Koko do?" Hala asked.
"Uh... It... It kinda just floated and stared at me for a few seconds. Then it did like a 'head nod' thing and flew off." Jack explained.
Hala's eyebrows rose. "Really? It acknowledged you?"
"I don't know if I'd go that far..." Jack said.
"It didn't attack you or shriek, did it?" Hala said.
"It did not."
"And it revealed itself to you?" Hala asked.
"Yeah." Jack replied.
Hala chuckled and turned around. "I can't believe it..." He said lowly.
"What, what's up?" May asked.
"It recognized you as a friend." Hala said. "Which doesn't happen everyday. The last person it acknowledged was Ilima, and that was a couple years ago."
"Ilima?" Jack asked.
"A Trial Captain." Hala answered. "Instead of gyms, we in Alola have a different challenge."
"Oh... Cool." Jack said.
It didn't take long for them to get back to their objective. The terrain was much more forgiving as they were going around the mountain itself instead of up it. "It's right up around the bend here somewhere..." Hala grunted.
"You think we're clear of any Pokemon dens?" Misty asked.
Hala turned to Misty. "In the wilderness like this? Never." He said dismissively. "Pokemon tend to move about. They battle other Pokemon over territory. It's been a couple months since I came up this way and it was clear, but a lot can change in a day out here, let alone two months." Hala turned forward once more and marched along.
Misty gave an annoyed sigh and turned to May. "I'm not sure how you put up with him."
May nodded. "I caught him taking peeks at my boobs so I think he takes it easier on me at times. Still annoying as hell, though."
"Understandable, really." Zinnia chimed in.
May and Misty both turned to Zinnia, not too pleased about her reaction.
"He's old and grumpy, give him a break." Jack said, trying to diffuse the situation. "We're almost there.
"It was more 'how' he said it, but okay..." Misty said, her pride hurt a bit.
Jack stepped ahead of the women, noticing Hala was crouching behind a particularly large boulder, peeking his head out to see something. He turned to Jack and waved his hand, signaling them to get down.
"I think he wants us to get down." Jack said, hushing his voice. He hunched over and the girls followed suit, Jack stole a glance at May's dangling chesticles. "Can't help it at this point..." He thought to himself. He made his way to Hala who turned his head to him.
"There's a Boldore up ahead." Hala said lowly. "Good chance the Gigalith that lives in Ten Carat Hill is nearby too."
"So, get ready for a battle?" Jack asked.
Hala nodded. He grabbed a Poke Ball from his belt and tossed it in the air. Red energy streamed out of it and in a moment, a large Hairyama appeared. It put its hands together and grunted.
Moments later, Zinnia, May, and Misty had released their Pokemon as well. For Zinnia, her Flygon, Misty, her Poliwrath, and May, her Milotic.
"And for you Jack?" Hala asked.
"I was thinking Magneton, but I haven't used Breloom for a while. It should do well."
"Magneton's a special attacker." May commented. "Boldore and Gigalith don't do as well against those."
"Yeah, but my Breloom has Spore. Could be helpful." Jack replied.
"You have a 'Spore-Puncher' Breloom?" May asked excitedly.
Jack smiled and shook his head. "Breloom never learned Focus Punch. But Spore is plenty helpful all the same."
"I could help with that." Hala said, and began to laugh. "You'd have to come by on an off day, however. And get me some Iki Iki Barbecue."
"Shit, think they heard us." Zinnia said, peeking around the boulder. "Yup, they're coming." She darted back to the group.
"Milotic, stay with me." May ordered.
"Breloom, up with Poliwrath and Hariyama." Jack commented.
"Keep them back a bit." Zinnia said. "Got a nice surprise for 'em." Zinnia said, giving Flygon a pat on the back. "Up and over, Earthquake!" Zinnia shouted. Her green bug-looking Dragon Pokemon flapped its wings and got over the boulder. Jack couldn't see around the boulder, but he heard and felt violent shaking of the ground. "Okay, get back here!" Zinnia shouted out to the sky.
Flygon came back over the boulder, and Jack noticed a few rocks that had been fired from its opponents flying over the boulder.
"Hariyama, lead the way." Hala said. The large Pokemon marched around the boulder cautiously with Breloom and Poliwrath on its heels. The trainers crouched behind with with Milotic slithering awkwardly just in front of them.
"Ho!" Hala emoted suddenly as Hariyama had a rock thrown at it, but easily deflected it with its hands. "Okay, charge! Brick Break!" Hala shouted out.
"Poliwrath, Liquidation!" Misty called out.
"Breloom, Seed Bomb!" Jack commanded.
Jack watched as Hairyama and Poliwrath charged forward. He finally got a good glimpse of their opponents, seeing the one Boldore Hala had warned of had become four. Hariyama smacked one of them with its hands aglow, while Poliwrath charged into another, engulfed in blue energy.
Jack's Breloom fired a glowing seed pod at a Boldore that hadn't been targeted, and it exploded in a cloud of green energy. "Good hit!" Jack cheered. He suddenly realized Misty, Hala, and May took a second to glare at him. "Fine." He muttered. "When battling in groups the only loud sounds should be commands so as to not confuse the allied Pokemon." He heard the words of an academy teacher echo in his mind.
"Clear the way!" May called out. "Milotic, Hydro Pump!" The elegant snake Pokemon in front of him wound up for a big attack, but Jack realized his Breloom seemed to be in Milotic's target line.
"Breloom, down!" Jack cried out frantically. His Breloom turned around and saw what was about to happen and fell to the ground, curling up.
Then a powerful stream of water-blue energy fired from Milotic, blasting the most distant Boldore back dozens of feet.
Jack pumped his fist excitedly, thinking the encounter was almost over, but Flygon began calling out something. He noticed Flygon had perched itself on top of the boulder.
"Something's coming." Zinnia warned.
From a good thirty feet ahead of the battlefield, a large, monstrous, Rock Pokemon emerged from a cave.
"Gigalith..." Jack thought to himself. He'd seen it in trainer battles before, but those were smaller than this one. He also noticed a few more Boldores crawling out of the cave opening behind Gigalith.
"Let's finish these up before we get overwhelmed." Hala said lowly.
"If you give my Flygon some cover, it can slow the reinforcements down." Zinnia said lowly.
The battle in front of them was going swell, with Hariyama easily brushing off its Boldore's attacks. Misty's Poliwrath was pounding its own Boldore into submission as well.
Jack noticed his Breloom had been caught watching the others, with its Boldore approaching. "Breloom, Seed Bomb, then Spore!" He ordered. His Breloom fired another glowing seed pod, which exploded in Boldore's face. With the Pokemon still reeling, Breloom charged ahead, to a few feet in front of the Boldore, which had begun to move again. one of its legs dug into the ground, and a decent sized rock emerged from the ground. Breloom dodged, but Jack realized he was in an awful position with it coming his way and he ducked quickly. "Too close." He thought.
He looked up and saw Breloom wiggling fiercely as shimmering spores emitted from its body. The Boldore threw another rock, which connected with Breloom knocking his shroom Pokemon back, but the assailant definitely had begun to slow down due to the drowsiness caused by Breloom's Spore attack.. "Breloom, Iron Tail it into the dirt!" His Breloom's tail lit up with a silver, metallic energy as it leapt into the air. it turned violently, smashing Boldore's neck-like part of itself, and into the dirt. With the Spore having taken effect, he knew that Boldore had been neutralized.
Jack scanned the rest of the battlefield and noticed Misty's Poliwrath and Hala's Hariyama had already left to fight ahead. "Well, they're the pros..." Jack coped.
Zinnia prodded Jack. "Got an idea." She said lowly.
"What?" Jack said lowly, making sure the allied Pokemon couldn't hear him.
"My Flygon will pick up your Breloom. Order it to use Spore in mid-air. Should soften that Gigalith." Zinnia explained.
"But Breloom's body emits the Spores, Flygon could easily be caught in it." Jack countered.
"What about its tail?" Zinnia asked.
Jack paused. "Breloom's really sensitive about his tail."
"It'll just be for a bit." Zinnia said, then turned to Flygon. "Flygon, pick up Breloom!" Zinnia pointed at Breloom, then put her hand behind her and started smacking her own butt. "Tail!"
"Breloom, let it pick you up!" Jack shouted, hoping it would follow the order.
Breloom turned back to Jack, confused, and wasn't ready for Flygon to abruptly grab it by the tail and take into the air. Breloom began to panic, crying out. "Breloom, shut up and use Spore!"
Breloom didn't quiet down, but it started to wiggle frantically. Flygon took its non-consenting passenger over to where Gigalith and its Boldore cronies were still approaching and circled them frantically, flying low to expose the adversaries to Breloom's Spore while simultaneously evading as the Boldores fired Rock Throws at it and Breloom. None of them hit, but Jack noticed Gigalith beginning to glow with dark brown energy.
It's charging up something." Jack noted. He saw Zinnia grit her teeth.
Gigalith's glowing resulted in a glowing, crystal mass in front of its mouth. Gigalith then fired the attack which made direct contact with Flygon, downing the skyward Pokemon. Breloom fell from fifteen feet up, landing hard on the ground, and only a dozen feet or so from Gigalith. Further from the action, he noticed a few Roggenrolas beginning to encircle Breloom.
Jack cursed. "Seed Bomb!" Jack cried out. He saw Zinnia's Flygon had been knocked further back, and Hariyama and Poliwrath were dealing with fresh Boldores. He noticed the Fighting Pokemon were tiring after firing off powerful, offensive attacks in rapid succession.
Breloom managed to hear the command, and fired off Seed Bomb after Seed Bomb while the colossal Gigalith slowly, ominously approached. The Spore attack seemed to down the nearby Boldores, but not Gigalith. Gigalith then screeched like two rocks sliding against each other, then slammed a glowing leg into the ground.
"Breloom, get out of there!" Jack called out desperately.
A long, protruding stone shot out from the ground. Jack recognized the attack as a Stone Edge. Breloom leapt out of the way, but it did catch a glancing blow from the stone missile.
Breloom did recover however, getting to its feet.
"Milotic, Hydro Pump that Gigalith!" May roared.
Jack watched as Milotic charged up, its upper body glowing with blue energy. It then fired another powerful blast of water-blue, this time streaming over twenty five feet to where Gigalith had Breloom cornered. The stream hit Gigalith in the back at an angle, causing another "rocks scraping against each other" screech.
Jack then thought of an idea. "Breloom, leap and Iron Tail its bottom!"
Breloom jumped into the air while Gigalith was reeling from he Hydro Pump, and its tail lit up with a bright silver. It spun once again, knocking into Gigalith's under-belly. Jack noticed the blow had its intended effect, getting Gigalith off balance. The force from the Hydro Pump pushed Gigalith's enormous mass onto its side. Milotic's Hydro Pump began to fizzle, and Milotic looked a little fatigued from firing an attack that hard, that far, and for so long.
"Seed Bomb!" Jack called out. Breloom did as ordered, firing off a barrage of Seed Bombs on Gigalith's very exposed underbelly. Gigalith did take decent damage, but it still managed to roll back onto its legs. Jack cursed, Hariyama and Poliwrath were still a little while away, leaving pulverized Boldores in their wake.
"Flygon, Earthquake!" Zinnia called out.
And then Jack saw it, Zinnia's Flygon diving fiercely onto Gigalith, aglow with light brown energy. Flygon then struck Gigalith's back, with the usual large scale damage area being confined to just Gigalith. It shook violently as Flygon's Earthquake attack devastated it.
After a good five seconds, Flygon flapped its wings, getting away from Gigalith, who had fainted. The party left their Pokemon as they walked through the knocked out Boldores just in case one of them re-awakened.
Jack heaved a sigh of relief. "Fuck that was intense."
Hala's laugh bellowed. "It was there for a moment, yes..."
"On behalf of my Breloom, thanks for the saves." Jack said to May and Zinnia. Zinnia smiled proudly, while May nodded simply.
"Of course." May said. "And Jack, any interest in capturing that Gigalith? Seemed like quite the foe."
Jack looked at Hala, who seemed very non-chalant about it. He then realized a very important thing. "I didn't bring any Poke Balls."
"What!?" May exclaimed. "You don't even have six Pokemon, right? Then no excuse..."
"Right..." Jack acknowledged. "I figured the Kahuna wouldn't want me catching wild Pokemon out here. Y'know, balance of nature thing?"
Hala shook his head. "Well, it is typically good to get powerful threats like this out of the wild when possible. Although I think you'd be a bit out-matched by that Gigalith as far as training goes."
"You mind if I grab it, Hala?" May asked. "I don't have a wall like this in my team."
"Go ahead." Hala said, putting his hand on the fallen Gialith. "Alola, worthy adversary." He said solemnly. It was in that moment Jack remembered "Alola" was native for hello or good-bye, depending on the context. Hala then moved his hand away from the great, rock-beast, and May tossed a Poke Ball at it, hitting and opening up, turning the adversary into red energy and into the ball, which shook for a few moments before it went silent.
"Congrats, May." Jack said, a big grin on his face.
"Okay, the engraving shouldn't be too far away." Hala said.
It took just another couple of minutes, but the party got to a place that looked almost like a quarry, with a sheer cliff going up over twenty feet up.
"No pictures." Hala warned. "We're here."
Jack then saw what Hala was talking about. A series of images, ranging up to ten feet high, carved into the rock wall. He hurried to it, immediately intrigued. He studied the series as the others joined him. The carvings were a series of six images. The first was an intricately carved picture. It was a small circle with a face, encased in another circle with what looked like stars dotted around. This was inside another shape, but more of an oval. It had odd protrusions coming out of the oval.
The second was a fairly ordinary sun. Jack studied it for a while to see if there any hidden details he was overlooking, but he couldn't find any. The third image looked like a creature's face, with a protective mane. "A lion..." Jack thought, reminded of the Pokemon Pyroar. The fourth image seemed different in tone, it had the same sun from the second image, but smaller, and above a barrier. "Clouds?" Jack thought. There were lines that emitted from the sun-like object, but none below the barrier.
He looked to the next image to see if there was any context, but it was just a human skull. The sixth and final image was just a flame symbol. Jack then looked below, and saw symbols carved into the stone below the images.
"Hala, what are these?" Jack asked.
Hala nodded. "Ancient Alolan text."
"Do you know what they say?" Jack asked.
Hala stepped to Jack and put his arm around him. "Of course." Hala then pointed to the first image, with the two circles encased in an oval. "Heavy star." Hala first read off. He then pointed to the second image with the sun. "Transforming light." Hala said. "Their way of describing 'evolution' of a Pokemon." Hala explained.
Jack nodded.
Hala then pointed to the third engraving with the lion's head. "Sun Guardian..." Next he pointed to the sun with clouds. "Darkness." He stepped to the fifth, showing a skull. "Black terror."
"And finally..." Jack chimed in.
"Explosion." Hala said, pointing at the flame.
Jack spent a good ten minutes studying the images, repeating the words to himself. "Hala..." Jack began. "I know, I can't take any pictures. But can I just put the words down in my phone?"
Hala shook his head. "I know them, Mr. Cobal. I'll send them to you." Hala then stepped to the third image, with the lion head. "There are ancient writings detailing a beast called 'Solgaleo.'" Hala explained. "It is said to emit light, so one must assume this is most likely what it means. They'd think of it as a sun guardian."
"But why the darkness right after?" Jack said. "Is that a natural thing? Or an event? And this 'heavy star' thing..." Jack cursed. "Couldn't they have just
Misty then pointed at the first carving. "Hey boss, this... Something about it reminds me of Nebby."
Jack dashed over, and noticed the star-like carvings in between the outer circle and oval looked like the stars on Cosmog's pom-pom like appendages. "Yeah... But Nebby- Cosmog I mean..." Jack remembering what Hala called it. "But Cosmog doesn't have the oval thing. It does have the circle inside a circle though..." Jack pondered out loud. "Zinnia, aren't Draconids responsible for some of the ancient murals around Hoenn?"
Zinnia nodded. "Yeah, but they're just a picture of an event. Not something like this, a riddle..."
"Hmmm..." Jack pondered, then noticed his stomach growl. "Think it's time for lunch, everyone?"
"Shit yeah, good call." Zinnia agreed. "I'm starving..."
