Elliot's phone pinged but he chose to ignore it in favor of keeping his arms tightly wrapped around Olivia. Whatever, whoever, it was could wait. Nothing was more important than the woman he now held in his arms.

She sighed and the warmth of her breath sent floods of chills all over his frame. His breath caught when her lips pressed on the base of his throat. Her hands moved over his broad chest, and snuck behind his back, her fingers feeling each muscle of back deeply, "Where were we?" She whispered, her lips brushing against his with every syllable.

His heart pounded thunderously as she pressed into him and her tongue was in his mouth. Her fingers dug into his back and she pulled him back on top of her. He moaned her name into her mouth and her hands slid down his back and gripped his ass. He was putty in her hands at this point. Whatever she wanted she could have. He was hers.

Their hands moved over each other. Feeling, grasping, exploring. There was more to talk about. Files to be read. But not right now. Right now was about this . Touching feeling, loving. They needed this. The rest would fall into place.

Ayanna stared at her phone. It had been a couple hours. Maybe he was sleeping. She tossed her phone across the desk. He was a grown man and could take care of himself. Calling in the calvary over a missed text seemed excessive. He could text one of his kids. But that would probably make them needlessly worried if he wasn't with them. She'd text Olivia, but the chances of him being with her were pretty slim.

She knew she was probably making a big deal out of nothing but she couldn't calm the worry. Maybe she would swing by his place real quick. The invasion of privacy would be a well deserved consequence to his silence.

Olivia relaxed and snuggled her back further into his chest. His strong arms draped over her and she shivered at the feeling of his lips on her bare shoulder. The air around them felt warm, peaceful, and perfect. His fingers traced up and down one of her upper arms eliciting a delicate hum from her lips. She had never felt so relaxed, and so safe.

He kissed his way up her neck, stopping to give particular attention to the space behind her ear. She let out a soft moan, "If you're not careful," she breathed, "you are going to be responsible for completing another round."

His hands ran down the length of her naked body before grasping her hips and turning her towards him. His lips fell over hers with obvious intention. He pulled back a little, just enough so he could whisper, "I think I'm okay with that." With that said, his mouth enveloped hers.

Jamie glanced around the office and noticed Sergeant Bell had taken off. He assumed she needed to track down Stabler for something. She seemed all weirded out that he didn't show up on a Saturday. But hey, if he didn't feel compelled to be here, he definitely would find somewhere else to be.

His boredom and curiosity got the better of him and he figured he would try again with Jet. Reyes seemed to think she knew a lot about that whole Stabler and Benson situation. He sauntered up to her desk.

"So," he began, "Where do you think Stabler ran off to this morning?"

Jet rolled her eyes, "Would it kill you to mind your own business?"

He ignored her question. "Do you think he's with Captain Benson again?" He asked casually.

She glared, "Find someone else to talk to, please." Her voice filled with complete annoyance.

"Fine, fine." He sulked away. This was making him crazy! He understood why people wouldn't want to spread rumors or whatever, but he never expected to get completely stonewalled. That's part of why his curiosity burned so hot on this one!

Ayanna pulled up to Elliot's place and immediately noticed his truck wasn't there. That didn't mean a whole lot, he could have left it anywhere during the constant swapping of vehicles. She parked and made her way inside, and knocked on the door.

She heard footsteps, but they seemed a little light and delicate for her partner. The deadbolt turned and the door swung open to reveal one of Elliot's very blonde daughters.

"Sergeant Bell," the woman greeted her with a smile. "Dad's not home right now." The girl's brow knit together, "Actually, he told me he was working today and that's why he needed me to stay with Grandma."

That comment did nothing to dissuade Ayanna's worry. Before Ayanna could find a response to that Bernie Stabler popped around the corner.

"I think it's obvious where he is. I can't believe you all fell for the 'I'm at work' excuse."

"What are you talking about Grandma?"

The old woman shuffled down the hall, closer to the door. "I'm not sure when he ducked out last night, but I'm fairly certain it had to do with a certain beautiful NYPD captain's visit to the apartment yesterday."

"Olivia was here? You didn't tell me that." Elliot's daughter looked miffed.

"You didn't ask, sweetheart, and that woman is always so private about everything I wasn't going to spill the beans on her."

"Grandma," the blonde scolded, "you spill the beans on everyone ."

"Oh I do not." Bernie huffed. She turned her attention back to Ayanna. "If he isn't answering the phone," she said slyly, "I'm willing to bet he's with Captain Benson, or she would at least know where he's at."

Ayanna gave Bernie a kind smile, "Thank you, Bernie." She reached out and gave the old woman's arm a light squeeze. "I appreciate it."

Bernie waved her off. "Of course of course. Happy to help."

Ayanna gave the women another quick smile before heading out the door.

Olivia's blaring phone startled her awake. "Shit." She muttered as she climbed over Elliot to her phone on the nightstand on the other side of the bed.

Elliot groaned awake and shot his arm around her hips pulling her back into him. "El," she pushed his arm away with a lilting laugh. "It's probably work."

"More reason to ignore it," he grinned while tugging on her hips.

She snagged her phone off the charger before he pulled her back down into the bed. He kissed her jaw and nipped at her ear while she answered the phone.

"Benson," she answered and shot him a side eyed glare. He didn't seem deterred. "Hey Fin," she said exaggeratedly, for Elliot's benefit.

He softly sucked at her neck and she was having trouble focusing. "Tell him you're busy," he whispered in her ear. "He can figure it out."

She waved him off, attempting to listen to what Fin was saying.

"Where are you," Fin asked.

"Just at home."

"I thought I heard someone talking," he said suspiciously.

"It's just the TV," she hurried him along, "was there something you needed or…?"

"Yeah," his voice still held an incredulous tone. "I just got a call from the neighboring precinct. They had some high school girl torch the school bus. They think she might have been assaulted." He hesitated. "Thought ya might want to come in for this one…unless you're busy with something…or someone…" she wished there was a way to smack someone through a phone.

"I'll be there."

Elliot started to groan and she whacked his bicep before Fin could hear.

"Great." She could hear his smirk. "See ya."

Elliot pulled her down and rolled on top of her as she tossed her phone to the other side of the bed. "Duty calls? " he asked, dropping a quick kiss on her mouth.

She pressed her fingers lightly into his toned chest. She sighed, "yeah. It sounds like I need to take this one." She leaned up to sneak another kiss. "But," she said slyly, "I do need to shower before heading out," her eyes darted to his flirtatiously, "I wouldn't mind company."

His eyes lit with delight, and she laughed out loud at his obvious enthusiasm. God, she loved him.

Elliot didn't have a chance to look at his phone until Olivia had already rushed out the door.

"Damn it." Ayanna had called and texted, and based on the events of the last couple days, she was probably worried he dropped off the deep end. Honestly he might have done exactly that, but all of this with Olivia thankfully consumed his thoughts, allowing the memories of car explosions to stay far from his mind.

He called Ayanna but she didn't pick up. He texted her, and hoped he hadn't freaked her out enough to call in a search party.

E: I'm fine. I had some things to take care of, and I lost my phone for a little while.

A: Where the hell have you been? You scared the crap outta me.

He wasn't entirely sure how he wanted to answer that. Another text popped before he could answer the previous one.

A: Your mother seems to think you've been with Liv…since last night.

Well shit. Damn it Mama. He wasn't even sure he wanted to answer that. White lie to soften the truth?

E: Mama exaggerates. I came over this morning to talk about a couple things.

He could almost see Ayanna's eyes rolling. Out of anyone she seemed to be the most aware of whatever was going on between him and Olivia.

A: And you couldn't text me back?

She was definitely suspicious. Well, she could stay that way. He knew Ayanna would be discreet on his behalf, but he really didn't want to go into details on all of this.

E: Sorry. I left my phone in my car.

So many lies. He could come clean some other time. He was more than a little aware of how fragile things were with Olivia. He knew her, and he knew after the events of the last 24 hours, she would be sensitive, vulnerable, and she could spook easily.

A: Okay. Don't do that. You freaked me out. Are you planning on coming in?

E: Yeah. Probably in about an hour.

A: See you then.

He tossed his phone on Olivia's bed. He should go home and change, but he wasn't sure he wanted to face the questions his mother and daughter would have for him. He would have to suck it up. He couldn't drop into the office in his sweats and a t-shirt. That would cause more uncomfortable questions. He would have to risk it and run by his house. It would be fine. He could handle his Mama and Kathleen. Less was always more when it came to those two. He let out a sigh, and gathered his keys and phone, and locked up before heading home.

Don't worry- nosey Jamie will get what's coming to him lol.
