[A biker warehouse at East Village, Manhattan] (3rd person POV)
Following the latest lead, Peter's next stop was here. A biker warehouse on the outside, an operation base for Tombstone's gang on the inside. Just that… he might had failed his stealth attempt, and now had to deal with a group of Tombstone's gang member on him.
"Okay, this is not good at all!" Narrowing dodging another strike from a crowbar, Spidey flipped and fired his web. Pulling the said crowbar from the member's hand, he tossed it away and webbed it up at once. "Besides, where the hell did the crowbar even came from?!"
"None of your business, bug!"
Feeling his Spider-Sense tingled, he lowered his entire body and avoided a right hook from behind. And doing a backflip, he quickly rushed forward and webbed both of the biker's fist. Then he leaped over the man to behind him, pulling the webs and made him knocked himself out.
"One down, a lot more to go," Muttering to himself, Peter flipped away and over a motor bike. "Guys, I know you don't want to waste all these bikes either, maybe we can just talk this out-"
Dodging another strike from a wench, he quickly delivered a upper-cut to the attacker and sent him into the air. And quickly fired a covered him in web, Spidey pulled him back down and let the web restrained him to the ground.
Without a second thought, he rolled away and created distance between him and the rest of the bikers. And shooting a web and attached to a biker's feet, he pulled and quickly webbed him to the ground.
Leaping and stuck himself to the ceiling, Peter then hastily shot a web grenade in the middle of the group. As the grenade exploded and covered the rest of the bikers with web, he dropped down and went to work.
Attaching them to the ceiling, the wall, and the ground. Or just handing by a thread, the rest of the bikers really meant nothing much when they're webbed up. "Great, a text to Yuri and police will show up in any minute," Nodding to himself, he turned his attention to one of the bikers on the wall. "And now for the 'try to gather information' part"
Walking up to the said biker, he waved in a friendly manner. "Hi mister biker, we both know that this place belongs to a certain biker gang. Can you tell me about what's happening between you and a certain mafia?"
"I ain't telling you shit, brat," The biker scowled, struggling against the web but failed.
"Hey, at least you don't call me 'insect'," Shrugging, Spider-Man looked away for a moment. "But seriously, your war with that mafia is only making the innocent suffer. What if that includes your family?"
"I am doing this for my family."
For a split second there, Peter froze at the words. But he quickly shook his head and cleared his mind, it wasn't the time to have those flashback. "Look, I've heard people saying this to me before, you're just hurting your family. Even if you're saying that you're doing this for them."
"Besides, you don't want to face an interrogation from a police, compared to me here, right?"
"I'd rather facing cops than a kid like you."
However, seeing how stubborn the biker was. Spidey could only sighed. "Karen, text her."
"Already done."
Nodding to himself, he turned to the office inside and found crates after crates of weapons. SMGs, pistols, shotguns… it was enough for a full on shootout.
However, Spidey landed his eyes to a map laid on the table. It's a map for the whole of Manhattan, with multiple location marked in red Xs. "Karen, do a full scan on the map and those locations."
"One sec… done," With that said, a scanned version of the map popped up on the side of Peter's HUD. "Those locations are warehouses, shops, and bars around the city. I can't find any connection between all of them though."
"So no connection between them… or they hide it well," Rubbing his chin, Spidey found his thought interrupted as the sound of siren closing in. "Karen, keep looking for any lead."
"Got it, Spidey."
Firing a web and pulled up the warehouse's garage door, he waved at the police and SWAT officers outside. "Here, they're all webbed up and… you can take them back. Also, there's quite a lot of weapons too."
"Thanks, Spider-Man," One of the officer said, as he lead the rest of the group further into the warehouse.
Watching as the police quickly swooped in and cleared the whole warehouse, Peter fired a line of web and swung away. However, mere minutes later, an notification of Gwen's calling startled him.
Accepting the call, the voice of a concerned Gwen immediately filled the internal speaker and Peter's ear. "PETER! You're alright!"
"H-huh?" Surprised and confused, the web-head shot another line of web and continued his swing. "What do you mean, Gwen? Of course I'm alright."
"But there's just news report for some building just exploded, and I was scared that you might be there…"
"Some building just exploded?" Even more confused, a news video for some burning building showed up on his HUD. "O-oh huh, I was in East Village, and definitely not at Upper West."
"Oh, that's good to know… I was so scared…"
"Well um… I'm sorry for making you worry," Apologizing, Peter landed on a nearby wall and cling onto it. "But you might be a… bit overreacting there."
"I… yeah, I should be the one apologizing here," Gwen agreed. "I just… after what happened with the Lizard, I just can't help but be worried whenever there's something big happened in the city…"
"I know, but trust me, I'll be alright."
"Well… remember that time you called me at the sewer? Do you know how worried I was?"
"Of course I know, but…" Trailing off, Spider-Man found himself in a crossroad, a metaphorical one. Should he just point out the obvious difference between them, or… try to sugar-coat it?
After a few seconds of deep thought and hesitation, he decided on the former. "But we're different, I have power to stay alive and deal with them. But you don't."
"But still, just put trust in me, I won't let you down or worried."
For a short while, silence filled the line between them. And Gwen answered, even though hesitation still filled her voice, but the word said otherwise. "Okay, I'll trust you. Just… stay safe, Peter."
"I'll keep that in mind, Gwen."
With that said, she ended the call, and Peter was left to his own again. But this time, even with the sensation of the speed he's travelling through the air, the fear of breaking that promise only stayed.
It didn't, and he couldn't shake it off.
Feeling a sigh leaving her mouth, Gwen put her phone back in her pocket. "Thank god it wasn't Peter…" Trailing off, she glanced at the ground below her. After all… she was hanging upside-down with the chains on the ceiling. "Hey White, should we tell him… about all this?"
"In my humble opinion, yeah."
"I thought so," Giving out another long breath, she released her grip on the chain and landed smoothly on the ground. As White also landed on the back of her hand. "But… isn't it a bit weird to uh… have this power and not really use it?"
"But there's already Peter and Noir, wouldn't you be a bit… excessive?"
"That's what I've been thinking," The blonde said, running her hand through her hair. "But… I don't want to just keep being worried about him. It's getting exhausting at this point…"
"Maybe you should swing around? It might helps."
"Swinging with these chains?" Glancing back up to the chains on the ceiling, she shook her head. "It might helps, but… not as much as swinging around buildings, if my imagination is right."
"If I can shoot web like Peter-"
TWIP!
Without a warning, a line of web suddenly shot out from her right wrist. And it flew in the air for a moment, before it slowed and dropped to the ground like a feather.
Meanwhile, Gwen and White only stood frozen, their eyes were locked to the strand of web on the ground. For a whole while there, the entire world seemed unmoving, just froze and stuck in it's place.
"…D-did I just do that?" She shuttered, and she immediately pulled down her sleeve and saw nothing. "W-White, did you see that?"
"Yeah… y-you just shoot a web…"
"O-okay, let's say I really just did that, then…" Trailing off, the blonde raised her hand and pointed at the wall. "Uh… shoot web?"
Just as she hoped, a line of web suddenly shot out from her wrist and attached to the wall. "W-wow, it's just like how Peter did it…" Muttering to herself, she peeled back her sleeve and saw nothing changed. "And… wow, it's all organic…"
"But how? I just say 'shoot web' and it just follow my command?"
Meanwhile, crawling and rested on the back of Gwen's neck, White chuckled. "From what it seems, I think it might be you thinking about it."
"Thinking about it?"
"It's kinda like how I do it, it's like breathing and all natural," The spider replied, giving out a mental shrug (if that's possible for a spider). "Since you're not born with it… maybe you need some sort of 'trigger' to do it."
"Some sort of trigger…" Repeating its word and pondered, the blonde raised her hand and aimed at the wall again. But this time, she closed her eyes and imagined, mentally telling herself to fire those web.
TWIP!
Feeling the weird sensation of the web, a smile crept up onto her face as the result was clear. White was right, as usual about her. "W-wow, that's awesome!" Feeling the smile turned into a full-on grin, Gwen turned her focus onto the ceiling. "Okay, how about this!"
She raised her hand and curled her middle and ring finger into her palm, and a line of web shot out from her hand. Exactly the same as she thought.
"A certain action as the trigger, huh…"
"Well, that's how Peter uses his web shooters, so… I think that's appropriate that I relate this to be the trigger," Gwen said, as she took in a deep breath and made the same gesture again. And followed with her mental trigger, another line of web shot out from her wrist and attached itself to the warehouse's ceiling. "And it works pretty great here."
"That's obvious," Giving her a mental shrug, White stopped itself as it noticed the look on her face. One that it only saw when she had some kind of idea. "Um… Gwen? You're not thinking what I'm thinking… yeah?"
"Maybe I am," Grabbing a scarf from the backpack she brought with her, Gwen wrapped the said scarf around her face and covered the lower half. Then she zipped up her hoodie jacket and brought her hood up, leaving only her gaze exposed and barely covered by her bangs.
"Oh boy…"
"Well, there's always a first time for everything, that include web-swinging," Shouldering her backpack, the blonde opened the warehouse's door. "Here, White, get on my neck."
"Sure, let's hope we won't mess it up then."
With a small smirk slowly crept to her face, Gwen shot a line of web and pulled herself to a nearby light post, then she launched. And… it felt amazing, the feeling of your body soaring through the air, the weightlessness, the thrill of dropping with gravity.
Guided by her Spider-Sense, she fired a line of web and swung. With her grip on the web tight, she watched the street below turned into a blur. And just a second or two later, the sky above greeted her again.
With her legs curled as the swing reached to it's end, she released her hold on the web and jumped.
Letting gravity pulled her again, she fired another line of web and attached to another building. And the sense of speed returned, as the wind caused her scarf flapped within her hood. However, none of them fell off thanked to her sticky power.
"Thank god my power works on them…" Smiling under the scarf, she leaped once more and flipped around, dropping again.
Watching the ground beneath her closed in, she quickly fired another line of web and swung. The feeling of wind running past her arrived, as the world turned into a blur once more. It was thrilling, but she tried and held her mouth from exclaiming. She was wearing too much of her own clothing right now, and drawing attention would be a big mistake.
However, a warning from White interrupted her thought.
"GWEN, WATCH OUT!"
Snapped out from her own thought, Gwen saw a giant Billboard rapidly approaching to her. And to make the matter worse, it's way too quick and close for her to change direction without crashing into it.
Eyes widened, she crossed her arms before her face. "It's gonna be a big news-" Clutching her eyes shut, she braced for impact. But… it never arrived. Instead, her Spider-Sense buzzed like crazy.
Gwen opened her eyes and instinctively reached out her hand, grabbing the steel pole and stopped her falling. Looking back, there was… nothing. Not a human-sized hole, or any hole in the first place.
"…What the hell?" With a pair of confused gazes, she reached her hand and touched the back of the billboard. And… her hand phased through the board like it's water, as the portion around her hand moved and wavered.
And Gwen's eyes widened. "H-holy shit."
"Holy Shit indeed…"
[A bit later, Ethan's apartment] (Ethan's POV)
I… I still couldn't believe it.
Eveline was here, also stuck in this universe with me. And to make it worse, she was one of the test subjects that I was looking for. At least they're all together for now… and now they knew about the trackers…
I just hope no more Dead-Bridges assassins would come to them again… even though it's still a possibility.
With all those heavy thought in my mind, I arrived back to my home. Sneaking through my room's window, I quickly changed into my casual clothes (making sure the bandages were hidden in the process) and put my suit back to the closet. The secret part of my closet, I wasn't that stupid to make it this easy for Catherine to find my suit, after all.
Emerging from my room to the living room, I noticed Rachel watching the news. And… it's about the building me and Eveline were, which now it's blown up and burning. She must be worried.
"Hey, I'm back," I said with a small wave, just as her head turned over to mine, and gave out a breath of relief. "And… before you ask, that place is where they stayed."
"How's them?" She asked, looking away.
"Thankfully, they moved to somewhere else yesterday, so they're safe for now," I nodded, sitting on the sofa and next to her. "But I did meet one of them, and… it feels weird."
"Weird? Why?"
"I… I don't know if you knew her name or not, but… Eveline's one of them."
"Eveline…" Trailing off, I saw Rachel's eyes slowly widened. But it wasn't surprise and shock, it's… recognition. "You mean your little sister? Like, the biological one?"
"Yeah, it's her…" Wait, how did she knew about this though? I… not even Catherine had mention her in any shape or form, at least she never did after I was in this world. "But how did you know her? Did Catherine mentioned her name before?"
For a moment, she didn't say anything. But it was clear, she was hesitating about… something. Maybe it's something Catherine never wanted me to know? Like, some kind of secret? No, judging from how Eveline's been, with the subjects…
However, before I could finish my assumption, Rachel answered.
"I… I don't know whether I should say it or not," She said, tugging her hair behind her ear. "But there were some nights where I can't sleep, like… I still got nightmare from time to time. Nightmare about those places."
"So sometimes when I get some water to clear my mind, I can hear… I can hear Catherine sobbing in her room."
…Just as I thought, Eveline must got kidnapped or something. Maybe I should ask her about it tomorrow night.
"And she mentioned her name between the sobs," I finished for her, and… a feeling guilt crept up in my chest. "I never heard those sobs, must because of my patrols…"
"Don't blame yourself, Ethan," Shaking her head, Rachel took a deep breath, shakily. "But if she's one of them… is she gonna meet Catherine again?"
"I'll tell her about it," I nodded. "We agreed to meet tomorrow night, to talk about everything."
"That's good to know," She nodded.
However, just as Rachel's about to continue, the front door opened and revealed Catherine. "Home sweet home!" She exclaimed, noticing both Rachel and I sitting on the couch. "Ethan, you're back!"
"Y-yeah, just got back from my morning run," I smiled sheepishly, and thank god I remembered the excuse Rachel mentioned before I got out. "What about you?"
"Well, Rio said she needs help on grading the assignment, so actually… I have to leave now," Giving out a long sigh, Catherine massaged her forehead. "Man, being a teacher sure sucks…"
"Uh…" Exchanging a somewhat concerned glance with Rachel, I rubbed the back of my neck as I awkwardly chuckled. "I'll buy us something for dinner then, if that's alright with you…"
For a few long seconds there, all Catherine did was just staring at me with widened gazes. "…Really?"
"Yeah, what's… the matter?"
"It's nothing," Shaking her head, she glanced away for a moment, staring at somewhere beyond what's here. "Um… Ethan, have I ever told you how much you've changed ever since you blacked out in Oscorp?"
"…No, you never did."
"Well, uh… I'm happy to see you not being… spiteful now," Catherine said, turning her gaze back at me with a soft smile. "Sometimes it feels like you're a totally different person, not that it's a bad thing."
Well, I WAS a different person than the Ethan that belonged to this world. It still felt weird to be reminded of this fact.
However, before I could get another word out of my mouth, Catherine glanced at the clock hanging on the wall and widened her eyes. "Oh no! I'm gonna be late!"
"See you later, Ethan, Rachel!"
With that said, she hastily ran out of the apartment's door. And now, only me and Rachel remained. Which she immediately turned back to me with a serious look.
"Anyway, about the promise you made…"
"I know, I do have some idea in mind," I said, gesturing over to my room. "Here, I'll explain further."
"Sure!" With that said, Rachel hopped off from the couch and followed me into my room.
Did I mention that this room is slowly turning into my personal lab? Of course, it wasn't like I drastically changed my room, Catherine would suspect me if I do. But I did get a whole new notebook for blueprint to try and make something, mostly for my "Noir" business.
Still, the most annoying part was that this room wasn't that big, a big shame but I'd have to make do with it.
Letting Rachel to sit on my bed with crossed legs, I opened that new notebook and turned to a page with a list of notes. Note specifically about Rachel and her power.
"So, Rachel, what's your biggest weakness?"
"…Huh?"
"Well, if you want to help me, knowing your weakness is a good first step."
"Okay…" Trailing off, she stared at her opened palm, which started to sparkle in the familiar sky blue. "Um… Oh right, I can run out of power."
"Like when you tried to protect Betty?"
"Yeah, that time and you had to save me," With the sparkles extinguished, Rachel turned to me. "Well, I can try to not go all out like that time. If I have some training, or something like that…"
"Of course, that can help. But I also got something if you're in some emergency situation," I said, with a small smile. "So, I don't have an official name, but right now, I'll just call it 'StimJolt'."
"…What?"
"Basically, it's something to directly give you some energy when you need it, kinda like those stimshot of adrenaline," I explained. "Just switch out the word 'adrenaline' with 'electricity'."
"Huh, that's… interesting, to say the least."
"I know it might disappoint you, but we should start small," Turning back to the table, I pulled out a USB cable and hooked it up to a portable charger. "Anyway, here's a test."
"A test?" Seeing the other end of the USB cable I handed to her, I could (almost) see a lightbulb lighted up above her head. "Oh, you want to know whether I can absorb electricity?"
"Well, it's more for battery than electricity, but you do get the point," As she grasped the other end of the USB cable (the end that should be plugged into a phone), I grabbed the notebook and readied my pen. "Anyway, um… you can try to absorb the power in the charger."
With a nod, Rachel closed her eyes and focused. And just as I thought, sparks appeared around her hand, and it slowly intensified in their brightness. But just a few moments later, it all suddenly stopped.
Opening her eyes, Rachel suddenly shivered and stood up on my bed. "W-wow, oh my god…" She blinked rapidly and shook her hands. "That's… wow, that's something!"
"You're okay?"
"I'm okay, yeah, I'm really fine," Hopping on my bed and spun a full 360 degree, she nodded. "It's just… I felt so energized now. It's like I HAVE to do something and get them out of my system."
Oh, so uh… she can get 'overcharged', per se. That's good to know, at least now we'd both know when to use the StimJolt. And with this thought, I quickly wrote this down on the notebook and closed it, turning my full attention on Rachel.
"Then uh… any idea of what to do to get them out of your system, Rachel?"
"I dunno, uh… I think I'll just keep hopping on this bed until it's gone."
"…Is the spinning necessary too?"
"Maybe."
Shaking my head and looked away, I couldn't help but smiled. So this was what Eveline saw in me when I was young, no wonder why she'd used to call me 'cute' or something. Never liked being called like that, but heh, I can understand why.
However, it… didn't looked like it's gonna stop.
"Rachel, when are you going to stop?"
"I guess… at least fifteen minutes later?"
"…I'll grab some water."
[Hell's Kitchen, the apartment]
Anxiously pacing back-and-forth, Scott's mind scrambled to try and find some solution. Or just any kind of one. Meanwhile, the rest of the group just say on the sofa, the same anxiety were clear.
"No matter where we go, they're still gonna come after us…" Murmuring out loud, Connor buried his face in his palm. "So what now?"
Trying her best to keep the atmosphere from falling into total despair, Eveline mustered up a hint of a smile. "I mean, if the other girl got out without a hitch, we can destroy it-"
"If we destroy it here, that still means those bastards know about our whereabout," Scott interrupted her. "Besides, how can we destroy it? Overcharge ourselves with electricity?"
"I can try and burn it from within," Connor suggested, but quickly got shut down by Eveline.
"While also burning way more than just the tracker?" Seeing no response from Connor, Eveline sighed and let her hand morphed into a blade. Even if we destroy the tracker, they'll know it's last known location being right here. So… I have an idea."
"You want to take the trackers out from our body, and just get it to somewhere else, right?"
For a few long moments, nothing was said between them as they turned at Mia. Not because of what she said, but… her tone. Right now, she didn't sounds like the Mia they knew, but… it sounded like the other version of her.
The version that only came out during a bloodbath. Or in other words, Red herself.
Blinked and her gaze darted between her fellow enhanced teens, Red took the first chance to speak. "Before you ask, I took over because A, she couldn't control our power. And B, she shouldn't experience this pain."
Before anyone of them could even say a word, Red's face suddenly contorted into a pained expression. And as she clutched against the side of her neck, blood started leaking out from the gaps between her fingers.
"Mia-"
"I'm fine, just… a bit more and…" Cutting Scott off, Red continued to endure the pain as more blood seeped through her fingers. Until suddenly, she lowered her hand as showed a small piece of… capsule-like electronic in her palm. "Here."
"What…"
"I'm just using the blood to push it out," Red said through heavy breaths, even if the wound on her neck already started healing incredibly quick. "It hurt a bunch but… that should do it."
"Now all that's left is… you three do the same too, I can help."
Silence once again hung high between the teens, and the other three kids exchanged a look of hesitation. Taking a deep breath, Scott turned back to Red, who was surprisingly silent, merely putting on a serious look.
"…Why? Didn't you…"
"…I know what I did, all I cared about is keeping Mia safe, that's it," Answering the unfinished question, Red sighed. "And by extension, you three too. You three are… all she have."
Surprised by the openness of Red, the three teens exchanged another look.
With a few more moments of silence hung between them all, they nodded.
(To be continued.)
So uh... hi, it's been over a year since I updated this fic, but uh... I'm back with a new chapter!
Actually, I did have like 75% of this chapter done and just left alone in my laptop for a long time... I'm really sorry for taking this long.
Anyway, this chapter is more just actually progressing plotlines here instead of introducing new ones. So not only we got some Spidey action (it was a bit too Noir-focused for the last few chapters, after all.) And for Gwen's new power, it's more to differeniate her from Peter and Ethan, aside from her being a girl. Besides, now there's also a reason for her to call herself "Ghost Spider" that makes sense. (It might be a bit of a spoiler, but... I think that's fine here.)
And before anyone ask, I did have some plan for the future arc, including the main Villain/overarching story. Also some storyline on other characters like Gwen, Peter, or even Rachel.
Overall, I'll try to update this fic around monthly (the same as my Persona fic), and um... yeah.
(Sidenote, I watched Across the Spider-Verse and MAN, it's a banger. I've been looping the OST ever since I watched it XD.)
Review Response (Hey, it's over a year worth of reviews this time...):
Death Fury: Thanks! And uh... sorry for taking about 2 years to finally reply.
XenoLucifer: Um... "Broski"? What is that? Anyway, back on track. Well, Ethan at this point is both weaker (physically) and lacking in experience on fighting overall. So even if he's stronger and faster than a normal human, he'd still be easily overwhelmed. Besides, raw strength isn't everything when you can't really hit someone.
Things will start to get better for him down the road though, especially now he got the shockwave powers.
robert32514: Thanks!
kirosyamcha: Oh, that's... actually resonable. But don't worry, I'm not really gonna strictly follow the MCU timeline, so there's quite a lot of stuff to happens. Besides, this universe is already so different from the MCU that it doesn't matter much.
As for Felicia, it's more of the first one here. She understands it and chose to have a fresh start.
Yep, Rachel is an OC.
Uh... I think I fixed that back when I first got the review, so yeah.
That's... surprising. Of course, Daredevil can't fight Noir in a pure raw strength department, but it's more about surprise and on the technique side. He got a lot more experience and much more proficient in martial art, after all.
Raidentensho: So uh... first, thanks for sticking around through my horrendous upload schedule. Anyway, on your ideas... I think I know what you're referencing, but sorry, I don't think I'm gonna go full Man-Spider here. And more focus on Ethan's psyche throughout everything.
As for Chi... I'm gonna keep Ethan's story pretty grounded, so I'm not gonna include Chi here. And his insight... not really. As for the weapon side, I think he'd keep being just using his fist and kicks for now. And even if he got weapons, having virbanium stuff would be way too much.
And for the kinetic blast/shockwave power... That's a pretty good idea. I'll put some thought into it. Anyway, thanks!
Raphael Sevillano: Becuase... he's pretty bad around people, that's pretty much it.
WebbyTed: Um... you do have a point here. I think I did went a bit too overboard on how weak Ethan is compared to Peter. I originally had this because I just don't want to be like those power fantasy thing/Gary stu stuff. But I'll let him start to be stronger and able to tank more stuff. (Even though uh... he was going a bit way too a fast on villains and fighting people that's way out of his level.)
As for the identity reveal... yeah. It'd be a bit too hard to rewrite it since it's been 10 chapters since that, but it should be a bit more impactful.
Trux-Killer: Actually, I DID thought of a way to put Ethan in NWH. But that's actually... pretty interesting, maybe it'd work.
Zealot07: I... originally went for Noir-Spider. But it was pretty cringy (pointed out by reviews too) so I shortened it to just Noir. And... I just prefer those short 1 word name as hero name instead of something longer.
Um... okay?
Still, thanks for enjoying the fic... If I read that right.
Pixelitus: Well, it's probably just the PS4 Spider-Man game? I can't really answer that for you.
omes848484: I mean uh... in a way, you're kinda right here. Things are going to be different though.
gabrilcsph: Thank you! And um... well, here's a new chapter, after... almost 8 months.
Ltbutterfly287: Yeah, it does (even if he only got 10 ton in raw power). So... it's more that he said he's not pulling his punches, but he unconsciously does.
Oh, I did... I'll take a look and maybe change it.
Um... I admit that I didn't really had a full grasp back then, but... yeah, over 20 tons in raw strength is a lot. And oh, Peter being a super genius doesn't really equal him being very good with people. He did comment on being an oblivious on those obvious hints before.
And well, I'm back. So... yeah.
whytf: Oh, he would swing someday. It'd be more like those 'earn the swing' part. Like when he's in some tough chase, and had to finally swing.
Anyway, thank you all for reading and sticking around for all this time. I hope you enjoy the story so far, reviews and favorites are welcomed!
