A/N: New chapters for my stories are instantly updated to my P atreon, under the same username, as soon as I finish writing them! I will still post new chapters here, just much slower as I'm putting all my focus on P atreon. I really appreciate all the support I've received from this site, which is why I will not stop posting here, just slowing down. I keep an updated list of the chapters I've posted so far on P atreon on my profile, just so you guys know what to look forward to when I eventually post them here ^^

If anyone has any questions or concerns about me posting on P atreon, please PM me about it and I will explain the move, but please don't post a review about it, please leave reviews to be just that: a review about the story. There was a lot of thought and research about moving to P atreon and I'm more than happy to explain it all. But please, above all else, enjoy the chapter! =D

Bella's eyes kept moving quickly from the redhead that was sitting incredibly close to her to Rosalie and Emmett that were shooting the redhead glares and her worried looks. Quite honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that technically Bella really didn't know the redhead, she would have already just sat on top of the redhead already because she was sure she was a really comfortable seat, but she was a stranger. And technically, it wasn't polite to just plop yourself down onto a stranger… regardless of how hot that stranger was and the fact that said stranger had already claimed to be her mate. Human manners were a thing that she tended to follow… even if she really didn't want to.

Victoria was as tense as a statue and Bella itched to reach out to the redhead to try and offer some sort of comfort. But with everyone else being just as tense and herself still being bundled in blankets because she could still feel a chill, she hadn't taken the effort to reach out. Now, if Victoria wanted to invite herself to cuddle with Bella under the blankets, then she wouldn't object. But with how tense the redhead looked, Bella wasn't holding her breath for that to happen anytime soon.

The Denali's, all of them, actually looked somewhat relaxed. They definitely seemed a little put out that they were playing host to people they likely wouldn't normally. But to Bella, they seemed as if what was happening was a nearly everyday occurrence and that they had everything under control. Bella couldn't help but compare them to the Cullen's, even to the two Cullen's that were with them, how the Cullen's would stress and only come up with the most extravagant plans to resolve the problem and likely only resolve at the last moment. The Denali's were as calm as one could expect someone to be when there was a potential threat in their home; a threat was easily outnumbered, but a threat none-the-less.

The two Cullen's though, Bella wasn't sure if Emmett was prepping for a fight or if Rosalie was preparing for a verbal smack down. Both Cullen's, or really the Hale and one Cullen, were definitely on edge and seemed like they were tense in a fight or flight sense. Bella was sure that if it were the whole Cullen coven, things would be a lot more tense and it was very likely that Victoria wouldn't be anywhere near here. She definitely didn't want that; she wanted to be near the redhead. She was hoping the two Cullen coven member's wouldn't ruin things for her… like taking her back to Edward.

"So Bella is your mate." Tanya said after the silence was more than past awkward when they had all taken a seat in the living room.

"She is." Victoria stiffly answered, just barely leaning a bit closer to her mate so that she could feel her presence better. Even though Victoria could see, smell and just overall sense that her mate was right there, she truly wanted to just be able to hold her to physically know she was there and safe in her arms. She didn't think any of the vampires in the room would take kindly to that; even though her gift was saying nothing life threatening would happen, she didn't want to take any risks when it came to her mate.

"And yet your coven mate wants to kill her?" Kate asked with a skeptical tone, there were too many unknowns with this nomad and she didn't like it.

Victoria couldn't stop the snarl that was really more of a growl, if she tried; not that she wanted to try and stop it because what that blonde said simply pissed her off. How dare that blonde assume that she would let her mate be hurt? Had she not literally tracked her mate the entire way to Alaska and then got so close to their base that if she had wanted to she could have easily killed several of them?

"Don't you dare assume such things." Victoria hissed as her eyes went coal black and Bella couldn't help but smile goofily at the hot redhead that was sitting next to her. Pissed off Victoria was hot; she would have to try and take advantage of that if she could… perhaps having Edward over would be a good thing.

On second thought, if Victoria were to be around Edward for longer than a couple seconds, she would likely just kill him. And as much as Bella, in the long run at least, would be okay with that, it would mean that sexy, mad Victoria wouldn't be around for nearly as long as Bella would prefer. Better to keep Edward alive to piss off Victoria for Bella's viewing pleasure than to take that easy option away.

"Then what exactly will happen when your coven rejoins you?" Tanya asked with a hard glint. The human, while technically not a part of her coven, had provoked a protective instinct in Tanya that she could only relate to other members of her coven. Perhaps the human would be better introduced to the vampire life with her coven than with the Cullen's or even with just this nomad; even if said nomad was the human's mate.

Victoria smirked and it sent a delicious shiver up Bella's spine that she really hoped that while she was sure all the vampires noticed, none of them would ever comment on it. She was sure there were going to be plenty of things that any of these vampires would be able to hold against her to make fun of her in the future; she really didn't want her reactions to the hot redhead to be any of those reasons. It wasn't like she had any control over her reactions to the redhead goddess.

"I don't plan on joining them again." Victoria said, a little hesitant on telling them more information than needed. She didn't like strangers knowing about her and her business; but if it insured that she would have safe access to her mate, then she would tell them anything and everything she could. Well, within reason of course. She wouldn't volunteer any information she didn't need to. They were simply making sure her mate would be safe; she couldn't fault them for that, especially since they didn't try to fight her when she got here to retrieve her mate.

"Then you plan on turning her right away?" Tanya asked, making sure that the redhead kept within the laws; not that she actually doubted the redhead wouldn't turn the human. Victoria didn't seem like the type of vampire that would be okay with watching their mate die a slow death via age.

"I will turn her when the time is right." Victoria said giving her mate a nervous look. This was a conversation she would have preferred to have with her mate first than with a bunch of strangers. There was no doubt in her mind that she would eventually turn her human; but only when it was safe to do so. At the moment, with the danger the Cullen's posed, it wasn't safe to have her mate more vulnerable than she was now for three days and then be a newborn with newborn temper tantrums. Victoria needed to make sure their environment was both stable and safe when she changed her mate to ensure a safe changing and a safe newborn time.

"When the time is right for you or for her?" Irina asked, genuinely curious. In her lifetime, she had seen many vampires hold off on turning someone for one reason or another and then the Volturi get involved and everyone dies. They wanted to make sure they stayed completely off the Volturi's radar and to do that, things needed to be done in a timely manner.

"Just when the time is right." Victoria asserted, giving her mate a quick look once again and then swallowed her pride before adding, "This is a conversation that Bella and I should have on our own, not with a bunch of vampires that won't be involved." She said with more than a hint of annoyance that she was getting the third degree about her and her mate's relationship… a relationship that actually didn't exist yet thanks to those stupid Cullen's they had ran into and their presumptuous nature.

"You can turn me whenever you want." Bella immediately said, not even thinking before she opened her mouth. At the moment, she would love nothing more than for Victoria to sink her teeth into her body.

Faster than Bella could blink or even comprehend that the woman had moved, Victoria was stood in front of her, leaning over her with both of her hands cupping Bella's face, causing the poor human to furiously blush a bright red.

Victoria leaned closer to her mate, just barely rubbing her nose next to her hand along her human's neck, taking deep breaths of her mate's scent, "Trust me, if I felt it was safe to do so now, I would." Victoria gently assured her mate, then pulled slightly back to look into her mates eyes and for the first time, she noticed something in her eyes that she really should have noticed right away. While not completely glazed over, the was a glazed look to her mate's eyes and that alone completely infuriated Victoria.

The redhead quickly turned around, crouched defensively in front of her mate and growled all in a one fluid motion. Her gift was warning her that she was treading a thin line but if one of these vampires glamoured her mate, she would kill them all. She didn't care how many of them there were, glamouring her mate was unforgivable.

"Who glamoured her!" Victoria yelled, completely pissed off. At least that would explain why Bella seemed so compliant, so pliant. While Victoria really didn't know her mate, just the fact that the human wasn't questioning anything, just going with the flow of being ran to another state, hiding out with strangers and being told she was being hunted, she was taking it too well. She knew her mate was strong, but humans shouldn't be able to take being hunted by paranormal creatures so well.

This was unforgivable. She needed answers now; her patience with these vampires and this whole playing nice was completely over. Her mate's safety was clearly at risk if she had been glamoured for long. She needed to know who did it so she could kill them. The law was definitely on her side now; vengeance for her mate's glamoured attack was well within her rights as a mate and she was definitely going to take advantage of that.

Everyone else had stood up and looked prepared for a fight. Somewhere in Bella's mind she knew she should likely be afraid being around all the clearly pissed off vampires but for the life of her, with the redhead, Victoria there, she wasn't scared at all. But there was a part of her that registered that not only was the situation very tense, but she seemed to be the reason for it. She needed to let them know that she was okay, that there was no reason to be upset.

Tanya had stood and held out her hands in hopefully a nonthreatening look, knowing that the rest of her coven definitely didn't take up a nonthreatening look and neither did the Cullen's, but she was a coven leader and she needed to maintain control and keep the peace.

"None of us did." Tanya said in a serious tone and with as much conviction as she could. While she knew she was telling the truth, she needed Victoria to believe them and with the redheads' instincts screaming at to likely just run with her mate, they had to tread carefully. Tanya did not want the nomad to run off with the human; at the very least not until the human had completely detoxed from the pheromones Edward had laced her with.

Victoria didn't trust these vampires, the ones that had run away with her mate and the ones that had helped to keep them apart. She was about to either say as much or threatened them more, but the warm hand that grabbed her hand had instantly soothing effects on her. Her attention was instantly on her mate, keeping her body facing the others, her head turned to look at her mate but keeping the others in her peripherals.

"They haven't done anything but help me." Bella softly told the beautiful redhead, absolutely amazing at how soft her hand was. Could she just never let go? Bella was sure she could the rest of her life holding the other woman's hand. She was sure of it.

Victoria stared at her mate, the glazed over look more than concerning to her but the tone in her mate's voice spoke of someone that wasn't completely under its' control. She seemed more influenced by it but not controlled by it.

"We won't do anything, I sweat it." Tanya said with strong conviction, signaling for her coven to force themselves to relax. If there was someone in the room that could calm the redhead it would be the human and the human was doing it. Tanya didn't want her coven to undo what Bella was doing.

Victoria gave a tense nod and then faced her mate once again, solely relying on her gift to tell her if the coven leader lied to her. Her gift wouldn't let her or her mate get attacked; of that she was more than willing to bet her life on.

"Are you sure dear one?" Victoria asked in a soft tone, fighting her anger at seeing her beautiful mate's eyes glazed over.

Bella couldn't help but give a dopey smile, "Yeah. Rosalie and Emmett took me away from Edward and the tracker and the Denali's have been keeping me warm." She said with a soft smile, "See, none of them are bad. Please don't hurt them." Bella begged and for the life of her, she wasn't sure why she asked that. It was a last second plea that just felt right asking, even if she couldn't place it.

"Only for you." Victoria promised, but couldn't give a blanket promise that she was sure her mate really wanted, "As long as they don't hurt you." Victoria took a deep breath, thankfully a breath full of her mates scent that helped to calm her. She grabbed her mates hand and sat down as close as the blankets would let her.

"She needs food and water in her system and more sleep to clear the glamour or pheromone or whatever effects she has. Once her system is cleared, that's what we've been trying to do since we figure out what happened." Tanya said, nodding at Eleazar to go back to the kitchen to finish preparing the food he had been doing before the redhead has shown up. "Then we were going to talk with her when she had a clear head and can actually think clearly to figure out what exactly happened."

"I know it was Edward." Rosalie said from her still standing position. Just because the redhead was sitting didn't make the blonde any less tense than when it had seemed the nomad was going to attack. Perhaps that was Rosalie's youth going into effect as it seemed the Denali's had all been able to relax but both Rosalie and Emmett were still very tense. "He was obsessed with keeping Bella to himself and controlling everything she did. The second Emmett and I could safely get Bella away from him we did." She briefly explained, hoping to help everyone including herself to calm down.

"Tell me everything." Victoria demanded, making Kate and Irina bristle at the command but Tanya knew they would all do the same thing if they were in Victoria's position. Eleazar showed up and handed Bella a plate of food that the human happily took. Victoria briefly smiled at her mate being excited for food, but then thought that if her mate wasn't so under the effects of a vampire, she likely wouldn't be so happy for something simple as food. Victoria couldn't imagine her human as someone that got deliriously happy about something as simple as food. She couldn't wait to get to know her mate, her real mate not under glamour or pheromone affects.
