Remnant; a planet inhabited by four kingdoms constantly at war with the forces of darkness.
Creatures of Grimm, abominations of nature that fed on negativity and existed for nothing more than to destroy humanity. To combat this threat, the four kingdoms trained brave warriors known as Huntsmen to fight against the monsters as well as the inherent evil of humanity itself.
In the Kingdom of Vale, the most prestigious Huntsmen Training Academy of all resided; Beacon. The head of the school, Professor Ozpin, oversaw his students and their progress and imparted his wisdom to them in their times of need. All while strategizing in the shadows to fight against the source of the evil that plagued Remnant with many trusted allies.
But now, a group of Heroes would soon give rise and they would be the key to turning the tides of war in the favor of humanity...they just needed to meet up first.
Dust 'Til Dawn was an ordinary shop in the heart of Vale. Open 24/7 and had things for all sorts of people; weapon magazines (both actual rounds and monthly publications), Dust, snacks, and music.
Currently in the shop was a young man who looked no older than 20 with a shaggy mop of ebony black hair, a pair of glasses framed his face and his eyes were the color of rich hazelnut. His skin was chalk white in color and smooth like silk. His choice of attire was a black open trenchcoat, a red undershirt, white gloves, black slacks, and black-brown boots.
Currently, he was just loitering around, drinking a chocolate milkshake in one hand and holding a large container of french fries in the other. The kind old man who ran the shop was not bothered by his presence. In fact, the boy was a welcome regular of his.
Also in the store was a 14-year-old, almost 15-year-old girl with white skin, silver eyes, and short black and red hair. She wore combat boots and a short skirt, along with a hooded cape. Currently, she was reading some of the weapon magazines while listening to music on a pair of headphones.
Suddenly, eleven men strode inside the store, ten in matching outfits of suits and red sunglasses any a gangster would wear. The man in front was shorter than them but clearly the leader; he wore a bowler hat and wore a white suit that contrasted his ginger-red hair.
The young man noticed this and groaned in annoyance while the girl remained blissfully unaware of her surroundings. The old man gulped and held his hands up as the gangsters all had weapons.
"Don't worry, Oji, these men won't be a problem."
"How cute, you really think an edgy teen like you is gonna take us on?" The leader of the gangsters sneered, pulling out a hooked cane and aiming it like a gun, the bottom end flipping open to reveal a target reticle.
"Roman Torchwick, Public Enemy #1 in the Kingdom of Vale. I know who you are." The young man said with a smirk before twirling out a pair of black and red revolvers.
"And you're Ozpin's little errand boy. See? We both know each other." Roman retorted, keeping his cane gun trained on the boy, who had his revolvers aimed forward.
"Why come here on such a boring night?"
"Simple. We just need the Dust. Just let us take it and we'll be on our merry way."
"Alright then..."
The young man pocketed his revolvers before holding a hand to his side.
"Have all the Dust you want."
Suddenly, one of the Dust containers began cracking before bursting open, its contents flying out and forming around in the boy's hands. Specifically, this was Fire Dust, and it was suddenly converted into a ball of pure white-hot flames.
Roman and his goons backed away as the boy grinned and held the fireball forward.
"What? I did say 'have all you want'!"
Like a shotgun, the boy fired the fireball at Roman and his goons. A massive explosion rocked the entire store, shattering the windows as Roman and his men flew out. Roman was thankful he had an Aura to protect him from the brunt of the damage, but his goons weren't so lucky.
"You're a wild dog, kid!" Roman roared in a mix of rage, shock, and annoyance. "Those were my best men!"
"Keep sending as many as you want! I won't give them as painless a death as this one was!"
Knowing when he was outmatched, Roman turned tail and ran as fast as his legs could carry him, cursing the young man out as he made his way into the night. The boy sighed before turning to the old man, who gave him a stink eye as he gestured to the ash surrounding his store.
"Sorry, Oji."
Holding out his hands, the boy's eyes glowed a brilliant purple as all the damage to the store was telekinetically moved around and stitched back into place. When he was done, it was like no damage had been done at all.
"Thanks for the training, Mom."
However, it was then the boy noticed the girl had seen him absolutely obliterate Roman's goons and was currently looking up at him with her silver eyes sparkling brightly in awe at what he had just done.
"Whoa...how did you do that?!"
"Would you believe me if I said 'Magic'?" The boy jokingly said as he made jazz hands to emphasize his point.
The girl couldn't help but giggle. "I'm Ruby. Ruby Rose."
"Beneviento...but you can just call me Ben." Ben then noticed something. "Say...you said your last name was 'Rose?' Do you happen to know a Summer Rose, by any chance?"
"You knew my Mom?" Ruby asked, hope in her voice clear.
Before more could be said between them, the store's chime informed them of somebody else entering.
"Ben, we need to...Ben, what are you...?"
The two turned to see a tall and beautiful blonde woman with glasses with a riding crop in her hands pause mid-step.
"...Summer?"
"Uh...wow, a lot of people in town seem to know my Mom..." The girl said awkwardly. "Um...you're a Huntress, right? Can I...have your autograph?"
A half-hour later, Ruby and Ben waited in an interrogation room.
The door finally opened, but it wasn't a police officer who entered. Instead, it was a man all knew and respected, a legend in his own time and right.
"Professor Ozpin," Ruby muttered in awe.
"Hey, Dad." Ben casually said as Ruby turned to him in shock.
"HE'S YOUR DAD?!"
"Adopted, but yes." Glynda answered: She and Ozpin weren't in a relationship by any means, but Ozpin had entrusted her with caring for his son when he was unable to and since then, Ben had imprinted on her as his mother as if she was indeed his real parent.
Ozpin, holding a plate of chocolate chip cookies, placed the plate on the table and gave the two teens a look over...more specifically a courteous nod to his son before focusing on Ruby, who was stuffing her face with cookies.
"Ruby Rose..." He hummed as he gave her a closer look. "You have...Silver Eyes, just like your mother."
Ruby looked a little awkward at the professor's observation while Ben snorted.
"Easy, Dad. Any closer and she might think you're hitting on her."
The blonde woman, Glynda Goodwitch, responded by smacking the boy over the head with her riding crop, making him wince as he rubbed the struck spot.
"OUCH!"
"Honestly, we taught you better than that, young man." Glynda humphed.
"Aw come on, Mom!" Ben whined.
"So!" Ozpin said, his attention on Ruby and talking over the argument between his son and his better half. "I've looked over a lot of your reports. You've wound up in a lot of fights around Vale lately. Where did you learn those moves?"
Ozpin pulled out a scroll that depicted recorded footage of Ruby fighting all manner of scum around Vale from the typical criminals to rabid animals and even domestic abusers.
Ben let out a whistle. "Not bad at all."
"W-where did you get that footage?" Ruby asked, pausing from devouring the cookies and now shaking in worry.
"I have my resources." Was all Ozpin said, before Glynda cut in hurredily.
"Don't worry. You're not in trouble." She assured the young girl. "We just want to clarify a few details before we move forward."
Feeling a sort of relief, the Silver eyed girl let out a deep breath and looked back to Ozpin.
"Again, where did you learn to do that?" The man of great reknown asked.
Ruby had to be truthful. "S-Signal Academy."
"They taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?" Ozpin questioned.
"Well, one teacher in particular..." Ruby admitted.
"Qrow fuckin' Branwen!" Ben laughed in realization. "I thought I recognized those moves!"
"I see he hasn't changed since the last time I saw him," Glynda said with a roll of her eyes.
"Yeah, my Uncle Qrow!" Ruby smiled, personally proud to have a man like him as her uncle. "He's a teacher at Signal. I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing. And now, I'm all like—Hooowaaah! Witchaaaa!"
Ruby made some kung-fu noises and poses as Ben laughed even harder while Glynda rolled her eyes at her adoptive son's tomfoolery.
"Aw come on! That is adorable!" Ben said, making Glynda sigh.
"So, I've noticed," Ozpin said in response to Ruby with a mirthful smile. "And what is an adorable girl such as yourself doing at a school designed to train warriors?"
"Well... I want to be a Huntress...just like my Mom."
The mood in the room dampened ever so slightly, something Ruby picked up on. As if reading her mind, Glynda, her stern face now a soft, sad smile, spoke.
"You probably don't remember me; you were just a baby after all. Summer…Your mother was my best friend when we were at Beacon." A chuckle. "You certainly take after her regarding skill and actions… but I can see Tai's shyness as well."
Ruby chuckled a bit before asking. "What was she like? Dad and Yang, she's my sister, they never really…"
"She was a wonderful person," Ozpin recalled. "A natural Huntress. Not the best student in the academic sense, admittedly; she learned by doing, not listening. Still, the record speaks for itself."
"And the mayhem she, Tai, Qrow, and Raven caused…" Glynda remarked, half impressed and half fighting back nightmares.
"She saved my life," Ben said, getting Ruby's attention, fighting back memories of his own. "Yup. Found seven year old me wandering all alone, scooped me up, and brought me to Beacon. If you're aiming to be like her…I'd say you already are."
Ruby rose an eyebrow.
"I saw you helping Oji and using that scythe. Just cause I go a little loco in a brawl doesn't mean I tune everything out."
"Need to work on fixing that," Ozpin said, before returning to Ruby. "Miss Rose, I imagine you'd like to go to Beacon Academy?"
"More than anything," Ruby said.
"Well then, welcome." Ozpin smiled back, getting back on his feet and making his way to the door.
"Wait, you mean I get to start early?" Ruby asked.
"Your age wouldn't be a problem," Glynda noted. "We have three more your age joining us. One of them has a…reputation."
"And we like him for that." Ben grinned, already imaging the chaos this person would cause. "Heck, STRQ may have competition as 'Beacon's most disrupstive student' by the time he's done."
Glynda took a deep breath and told herself
"He's royalty, he's royalty. He actually helps, he actually helps…."
"Um, is she…?" Ruby started.
"Believe it rnot, this is her 'exicited to meet them' reaction." Ben added.
"Well then, welcome," Ozpin said, his grin mirroring Ruby's.
"Oh, I can't believe my baby sister is going to Beacon with me! This is the best day ever!" A beautiful blonde-haired girl with a body that would make supermodels green with envy cheered as she hugged Ruby.
"Please stop..." Ruby grimaced, partly in embarrassment and partly because of her sister's superhuman strength.
"But I'm so proud of you!"
"Really Sis, it was nothing."
The blonde, Yang Xiao Long, broke away and put her hands on her hips. "What do you mean? It was incredible! Everyone at Beacon is going to think you're the bee's knees."
"I don't want to be the "bee's knees", okay? I don't want to be any kind of knees! I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees." Ruby said.
"What's with you? Aren't you excited?"
"Of course I'm excited... I just..." Ruby let out a deep sigh. "I got moved ahead TWO years. I don't want people to think I'm special or anything."
Yang simply smiled and leaned over, wrapping an arm around her little sister.
"But you ARE special."
Ruby just accepted the praise, knowing Yang would not let up.
"You have to be, to be on this Bullhead."
That came from a tall blonde boy in armor and a hoodie with a sword at his side with a weak grin on his face. Standing beside him was a young boy who appeared to be around Ruby's age with tanned skin, black hair, and freckles wearing farming gloves and overalls.
Ruby's face lit up in delight at the sight of one of the 'early starters' and she prepared to introduce herself before she spied the boy had tensed in his spot…missing the blush on his face.
"Don't know how I got here; I was aiming for another Academy when I got the acceptance…" The blonde confessed, weakling motioning the younger boy to add his own two lien into the mix.
"I've just fought the smaller, pest Grimm. Nothing to warrant that invite."
"Why would you not want to go to Beacon?" Ruby asked.
"I'm…a late bloomer." The boy said before realizing. "Oh geez, where are my manners? Name's Jaune. Jaune Arc. Short. Sweet. Rolls off the tongue. Ladies love it."
"Do they really?" Yang asked with a smirk.
"…I'm hoping so." Jaune groaned. "Really should've gone to mom for advice…"
The other boy nodded with a small smile on his face before he saw Ruby reaching out a hand.
"I'm Ruby Rose. The blonde is my sister, Yang."
The boy, still blushing at the sight and realization two pretty girls were chatting with him, returned the hand with one of his own.
"I'm Oscar. Oscar Pine. Farmboy turned Beacon student."
"Well, like you said," Yang smiled. "If you're heading to Beacon, you gotta be great. Not as great as Rubes though!"
"Yaaaaang!" Ruby whined, making Oscar chuckle just as a sudden bump made Jaune go green.
"Oh, Oum…" The blonde struggled. "Here it comes…!"
"Get to the trash!" Oscar demanded as he pulled Jaune away, his face full of fear, showing he knew what was coming. "There's the can! The can!"
Jaune dashed for the garbage, but as if fate was mocking him, it was being automatically emptied and would not be available for a few seconds. His sickness grew worse, his cheek poofed
"…Oh dear Oum." Oscar whimpered
"NOT THE SHOES! NOT THE SHOES! NOT THE…!"
Too late.
"GOSH OUM DANGIT, JAUNE!" Oscar called out.
"Sorry…!"
Are you going to be okay, Jaune?" Ruby asked her new friend after they had gotten off the Bullhead, the blonde boy leaning over a trash bin. Yang had broken off to hang out with some of her friends and had gotten dragged into their gossip.
"You...You and Oscar go on ahead, Ruby. I...I'll catch up..." Jaune groaned as the last of his breakfast left his form. "I...need a minute. Oh Oum, there goes last night's dinner…."
Oscar and Ruby both grimaced.
"And that there is why I would've preferred to get here by boat." Another voice called out.
"Oh please, you couldn't take your eyes off your window."
"Hyde, be nice to Sun."
"What, that was nice!"
"I believe Neppy here…" A booming, boisterous voice started.
"Don't call me that."
"…Was pointing out how adorable it was for Sun's first Bullhead ride was so special…minus that one lout who threw up."
"Hey!" Oscar snapped. "Motion Sickness is actually very com…."
The owner of the voice turned, revealing an utter giant of a teenager (it'd take four Ruby and Oscar to make one of him) looking down on the farm boy with a frown on his face.
"Among…Budding…I'm so intimidated I forgot what I was going to say." Oscar quietly said.
Ruby quickly leapt in front of Oscar, reaching for Crescent Rose and glared at the tall boy.
"HA! HA!" The white-haired boy cackled, slamming a palm onto Oscar, who barely stood up. "Glad to see you two got grit, kiddies! And sorry for badmouthing your pal, that was low of me."
The second and third speakers gasped.
"W-was that…?" The cooler one started.
"ZACK ADMITTED A FLAW?!" The smirker teased. "PRAISE TO MONTY, IT'S A MIRACLE!"
They began to dnace around 'Zack' singing 'Praise the Maidens!' 'Zack' just looked bored and mildy annoyed as the monkey Faunus made his over to the younger students.
"Sorry about them. They're….they're dumb." He mirked weakly. "Fantastic friends, but dumb."
Oscar let out a breath he had been holding out.
"Sun Wukong." The monkey smiled as he shook their hands. "The pretty boy in blue is my best friend Neptune…"
Neptnne gave a two finger salute, before speaking. "These are my brothers Zacharias and Hyde."
Zacharias had chalk with hair with gold highlights. He wore a purple suit with lightning bolts decorating it, which also showcased his powerful frame. Ruby inwardly mused that he looked like someone who could give Yang a fun fight.
"You can call me Zack." He smirked happily.
Hyde had black hair with blue highlights. He wore dark grey and black baggy clothes but wore a fun smirk on his face as he gave the two younger students a bow.
"No relation to or Semblance like the two souled man." Hyde said.
"Wait, you're read that book?"
The group turned to see a beautiful ravenette in white and black reading a book. He normally bored face was covered in anticipation.
Hyde simply smiled and waved goodbye to his brothers and made his way over to the girl.
"Hello, fellow literature lover. Do you happen to have a name?" Hyde smirked.
"Belladonna. Blake Belladonna." She answered as the two wondered off, speaking of their favorite books and bouncing off metaphors and similes.
"We better make sure he behaves." Zack mused, getting loud laughs from Neptune and Sun.
"Oh, that's rich coming from you!" Neptune smirked.
"Nice to meet you, we'll catch up!" Sun promised as he raced after his friends, leaving Ruby and Oscar to explore Beacon.
Unfortunately, so enamored was Ruby that she ended up tripping over somebody else's luggage.
"Ruby!" Oscar called out in worry, helping his friend to her feet. "You okay?"
"Yeah, I think…" Ruby started as she took Oscar's hand.
"What are you doing?!" A shrill voice demanded as Ruby hastily got up.
"Uh, sorry!"
The shouter was a girl of pale complexion and white clothes and a sideways ponytail.
"Sorry?! Do you have any idea of the damage you could have caused?" The girl snapped as Ruby stood up straight.
The crabby girl opened one of the suitcases to reveal vials of Explosion Dust; one of which was improperly sealed. However, she was in such a tirade she failed to see the failing red powder.
"This is Dust; mined and purified from the Schnee quarry!" She ranted. "Does your simple mind….?!"
"Dearest sister, can you PLEASE see that the vial is unsealed."
A rather gentlemanly voice spoke up as everyone turned to see a boy with white hair, a lean build, and a rather smooth attire consisting of a light blue vest with a white shirt that had the sleeves rolled up.
The crabby girl, the speaker's sister, FINALLY saw his point and turned around, struggling to seal the vial. Meanwhile, the shorter boy gave a gentlemanly bow to Ruby.
"I hope my dear older sister didn't cause any unpleasant feelings for you lot, hm?" The boy said, giving Ruby a smile that caused her to lock up in surprise at just how dazzling it was.
"Ugh, Whitley, don't you have your own luggage to take care of?" His sister groaned.
"Already got it air-mailed to the academy. Professor Ozpin already is aware of its...special contents."
The girl huffed and stomped off as the boy known as Whitley gave a bow, taking Ruby's hand and kissing the back of it.
"Whitley Schnee, at your service. I trust you'd be kind enough to tell me your names?"
"Um...R-Ruby Rose..." Ruby started before realizing what Whitely had said. "Wait….Your?"
"Ruby Rose…" Whitely repeated. "A beautiful name to match a beautiful girl. And your friend?"
"Pine." Oscar said, offering a hand to shake Whitely's. "Oscar Pine."
Whitely rose an eyebrow at the boy but smiled and returned the handshake.
"Don't worry' I washed them and my hands before we left." Oscar assured the boy.
Whitely smiled at this.
"Hey! I'm here! I'm here!" Jaune said, suddenly matieralizing. "Sorry about that…Got distracted and lost."
"If said 'distraction' was my sister, I implore you move onto a girl with some actualy emotion." Whitley added. "Oh, my apologizes. Whitley Schnee. And you are?"
"Jaune Arc." Jaune explained.
"No 'short, sweet, ladies love it?'" Ruby teased.
"No ladies here." Juane teased back..
"Oh, I do beg to differ." Whitely smiled, winking at Ruby, who blushed. Oscar, seeing that, felt…funny. Jaune spied this and put a hand on the boy's shoulder.
"Later. We have much to talk abour. My years of living with seven sisters are about to pay off."
"Benjamin, I think it's finally time you have a team of your own."
Ben looked at Ozpin weirdly. "Really, Dad? I've been doing fine by myself, and I already know plenty about being a Huntsmen. I'm technically already a Huntsman for crying out loud!"
Ozpin shook his head. "But you haven't formed any proper bonds with anyone. A team is so that a Huntsman can rely on someone other than themself. You need to learn to rely on others as well."
"I guess you're right..." Ben sighed. The only people he'd ever made an impactful relationship with was the group of second-years, Team CFVY, but they were already a full team and sadly didn't have an open space for him to join.
"Trust me, Benjamin. The ones I have planned to join you will surely prove themselves worth your time." Ozpin assured as Ben hummed, licking his fanged teeth with interest.
"I hope so..."
Momotaru Ryokugyu, the Prince of Vacuo, who had traveled the whole way by a small little jolly boat, was looking forward to meeting his new team and being away from the palace.
It would be interesting and nice to live as a normal Faunus student and hopefully make friends who saw him for him and not the crown he was destined to inherit. And hopefully not get mad at him whenever he caused property damage fighting Grimm.
Looking upwards; he saw the towers of Beacon at the top of the cliff his boat had just reached. Now came the fun part: Climbing to the actual academy.
"YEEEEHAW!"
It took him 10 minutes to reach the top.
(Earlier, before the Bullhead landed)
"AAAAAAH!"
CRASH!
From what looked like some kind of makeshift Bullhead emerged four boys
"DEAR OUM, MY LIFE FLASHED BEFORE MY EYES!" One of them, a boy with back toque on his head in a red shirt gasped as he emrged from the debris. "… It was less exciting than I thought'd be…"
"Rolf's Spleen…!" A blue haired boy with an unidentifiable accent called out, before popping his joints back into place. "Nana and Papa's anecdotes of handling the prospect of death came out true! Never again will Rolf complain or ignore such boring tales!"
"Ed okay!" The tallest of the four, a shaven boy wearing a red and white striped shirt and green jacket one would expect a detective to wear, happily clapped ebfoer wincing as the final member jumped upwards.
"WAY TO GO, BLOCKHEAD! THE ONE FOUNTIN IN THE WHOLE PLACE, AND YOU HAD TO HIT IT" The shortest of the boys, with three spiksy of hair in a yellow and red shirt with jeans, shouted.
"Eddy, I did tell you that it was risky to fly this device for two days straight; its parts weren't set in…!" The toque wearing boy sighed.
"Rolf still does not comprend why Ed boys insisted on not paying Bullhead fare." The bluehaired boy mused.
"Eddy's money fetish." The bald boy said simply, reaching into the derbis and pulling on a box of Pumpkin Pete ceral. "BRUNCH!"
As he chowed down, the others recalled how they had gotten here:
A few months ago, the Pumpkin Pete's Ceral Company had held a small tournament for promising youth, the legendary Pyrrha Nikos serving as the final fighter and the four finalists being submitted to any Huntsman Academy of their choice. The four, three childhood friends who shared the same name and one son of a shepard, had made it to the finals…mostly because several other of the fighters seemingly got sick or lost suddenly.
Still, the PPC was a company of its word (COUGH unlike the SDC COUGH) and here they were…although they'd had to find their own way to Beacon after one hogged/ deposited the prize money that was supposed to pay for transport.
Eddy, code named the White Tiger, was the most eager to be here….and in the eyes of many, the least qualified of the four to be at Beacon: His durability (without Aura until a few weeks ago) aside, Eddy was a troublemaker and scam artist who had spent most of the tournament flirting with an uninterested Pyyrha Nikos, who kicked his butt. Still, for all his faults, he was indeed a loyal friend to Edd and Ed.
Ed, code named the Black Tortoise, had won all of his matches with superhuman strength that frankly freaked out many. It was a good thing he lacked a brain, leastwise many would shudder in fear of what he'd be capable of. Luckily for Remnant, Ed was a child in a giant's body, loving comics, monster movies and being there for his friends…and that brat he called 'baby sister.'
Edd, more commonly known as Double-D and codenamed the Vermillion Bird, was the most intelligent of the four: A talented inventor who, when not helping Eddy and Ed scam their neighbors, spent his time creating many a combo-weapons that would've made him good friends with Ruby on principal. Double-D was also the 'sane man' of the quartet and never truly embraced the 'Huntsman' mindset, still acting like a terrified citizen most of the time…atlough when it came to shove at the tournament, he had proven he could be ruthless and unwavering….before then apologizing and healing his opponents.
Rolf, the Azure Dragon, was of a hard to find (and pronounce) clan of shepards who had grown up around the three Eds, frequently being scammed out of his allowance by their plots..until one time, Eddy had crossed the line had he had pummeled the boy into a bruised pulp…before letting bygones be bygones. Rolf had already quailifed to come to Beacon on a scholarship/charity, but now that he was going with childhood friends, the son of a shepard knew he would enjoy himself.
Speaking of said friends.
"Enough of the banter. Ed-boys!" Rolf called out, taking the three over his head and rushing onwards. "Let us embark on this adventure and meet our fellow in training Hunstmen!"
Knightmare Lord A/N:
This is essentially a rehash of Guardians of Remnant. Mrotrax and I weren't satisfied with the original, so we changed it up here. This'll also take some inspiration from CESN: Ragnarok by Dragon Emperor0 and ThermalsniperN7.
Alright, Mrotrax. Take it away!
Mrotrax A/N
As KL says, this is a reboot of the 'Guardians of Remnant', with some more mythologies and crossover elements brought in to shake things up: We've added some Greek/Roman mythology with Neptune's brothers and the Four Ancient Chinese beasts with the Eds.
Working on adding some Egyptian and or First Nations mythology down the line…if you have any suggestions, please leave them in reviews or PM me.
The original version of this story will still be up until the White Fang /Penny intro arc.
Hope you've enjoyed this reboot so far, read and review would ye kindly?
And speaking of mythology, I have a job interview with the local museum in the coming hours
