A few weeks had passed since the exam for the recommended students and Izuku was nervous. The results were due any day now and he simply couldn't take the wait for much longer. He figured he had failed but Kami seemed to think differently. She wouldn't say much or even drop hints, but She would say that he shouldn't count himself out just yet. The anxiety and doubt started to get to him, so he decided that it was time to break the monotony of his day and went out for a walk. Going this way and that way. He wondered around aimlessly until he felt a sudden push to head in a certain direction. Kami had told him that from time to time she would prompt him to do certain things or go certain places. She had even done so once already so he could know what to look for when She did so. This prompting however was more urgent and needy. It was almost like he was being told to do something rather then the gentle asking of her other prompts. Figuring that this was an emergency of some type he rushed in the direction the prompting was leading him.
Taking the last corner the prompting vanished and Izuku clenched his fist in rage at what he saw. Three students in the uniform for one of the high schools in the area had cornered a girl from another. The girls eyes were an off yellow and her hair was in two buns that rested on the side of her head. The skirt of her uniform went maybe a quarter of the way down her thighs. She was shaking some and there was a look in here eyes that he recognized as fear. Making his move he ran down the ally way and did his best to sound relieved. "There you are! I was looking every where for you!" Izuku muscled his way past the guy on the outside edge and grabbed the girls hand and pulled her along. He had thought he was in the clear but was suddenly grabbed by one of the guys. "Come on man that's like the oldest trick in the book. You can't honestly believe we would fall for something like that did you? We all know that there nothing special about you from a simple look and that means that no girl in her right mind would want anything to do with you. Girls only want handsome or cute guys to be with them. Plain guys like you don't stand a chance with a cutie like her."
Izuku sighed but went with what he believed to be the whispers of Kami were telling him. "Her name is Himiko Toga and she's a foreign exchange student. She's half American and half Japanese which is why her Japanese is so good. My mother and hers were good friends when they went to college so she offered to house her while she was here in Japan. Now if you excuse me we have to go home for dinner." Izuku pulled away with no resistance due to the shock that he had delivered to the three that had previously surrounded the girl. After pulling her along for a few blocks Izuku ducked into a manga cafe. Pulling the curtain for the room closed he pulled out a knife from the girls bag and sliced his arm open. As the blood started to come out he shoved his arm at the girl and gave a single word command. "Drink." Without argument the girl greedily drank from the wound on his arm. When the flow stemmed and no more was forthcoming the girl froze in place. Where was she? How did she get here? Why was her thirst gone? It was always burning away at her throat and was a constant reminder that she was a freak.
"Everything is going to be fine," the boy says. His green eyes are calm and reassuring. His voice is even and he's looking her in the eyes as he speaks. "My name is Midoriya Izuku and I need you to breath Toga. In for four count out for six." He begins to breath and she matches her breathing rhythm to his. She doesn't know why but his voice is hypnotic and she can't help but do as he's asking. "Good your breathing matches mine. Now are you okay? Those guys didn't hurt you any did they?" She opens her mouth to speak but finds she can't form words. She grabs the boys hand and begins to write the kanji one at a time on his palm. I'm glad to hear that your okay Toga. Now lets go and get some actual food from my house. I'll tell my mom your one of my friends from a rival school." He grabs her hand and starts to lead her to his home. As they walk Himiko's brain finally restarts and she begins to marvel over the boy, no not a boy he was different then the others, that's been holding her hand the whole time they have been walking. She had almost broken down and devoured the boys that had cornered her but in from nowhere came this… this… small might? Small Might. Yeah, he had to be a hero modeled after AllMight himself. He had to have been part of some secret school for people with powerful quirks that AllMight himself was the principle of. This could be the only solution just look at the Small Might! The way he moved spoke volumes of his training in combat and the way he talked so even and calm had to have been trained into him. No way was any of what he had just done to her something natural.
Izuku looked over his shoulder at the girl he was dragging into his home. Granted she was going along with him willingly but still this felt like cheating. Knowing all the information about the girl he had saved due to the guidance of Kami felt like an invasion of privacy against the girl. Still he was glad he had saved her from the fate that was awaiting her. Being turned to dust after being used in such a way, having her love shoved in her face and used against her for somebody else's desires made him sick and angry. His free hand clenched and he vowed to remember the title League of Villains and the name Shigaraki Tomura.
