Pairing: Klaus (Elija)/Rebekah (M/F) magic hairbrush, hand

Mystic Falls, Virginia

March 23, 2012

Same Day

Elijah had shouted for Rebekah and then called Klaus on the mobile. He had his brother bring the SUV around.

Kol wrinkled up his nose as Elijah ushered the children into the car gently.

"I had to compel them," Elijah explained. "They are terrified. Did you bring the food and water?"
Sage gasped, "Oh my, they are so thin. Hi guys, I'm Sage. This is Finn, Klaus, Kol, and Damon. We're going to help you."

Sage opened the water bottles and gave one to each child. They took them and took gulps of the water.

"We got them hot pretzels from the food court," Damon explained, handing the kids half of a large pretzel. "But I think they should take it slow. Maybe we should get them to a hospital?"

Elijah said, "Isn't there anyone you can call? A doctor who can come to the house?"
"They don't really do that anymore, but I know a girl. I'll call her to meet us at the house," Damon said. "And we should probably call Sheriff Forbes. She'll know what to do."

"Good, Son," Klaus said, driving just above the speed limit. "They are young. Surely, some one is looking for them."

The children hungrily ate the food and drank the water. Elijah had wrapped them in a blanket he found in the back of the SUV.

Mikaelson Mansion

Elijah and Sage carefully ushered the frightened children out of the car. The boy seemed weak and Finn gently scooped him up.

Dr. Meredith Fell was waiting with her medical bag.

Damon greeted her, "Thanks for coming so fast, Doc. I owe you one."

"You can say that again, Salvatore. If kids weren't involved, I would have told you to go shove it," Meredith said, tucking back a strand of her brown hair.

Damon introduced her to the Mikaelsons and Sage.

"There's a living room here," Elijah directed. Finn put the boy down on the couch and the little girl beside him. The children were trembling.

"You have nothing to fear. You are safe now," Finn said in a soft voice.

"I'll get them more water," Sage said.

Rebakah went in towards the living room, but Klaus lightly grabbed her arm. "You go straight to your room, young lady."
Rebekah frowned, "But I want to help!"

Klaus hissed, "Don't make me tell you again. Now, march."

Rebekah stomped, "Did you even get my clothes?"

"Forget about your bloody clothes," Klaus said. He watched Rebekah stomp up the stairs.

Sage paused, "I'll call the store and have them send everything over. I'm afraid the credit card is there also."
"Thank you, Sage," Klaus said. "You've been a great help. I'm sorry for Rebekah's behavior...and mine, toward you, so long ago."
Sage nodded and went to get the water.

Dr. Fell smiled at the two children.

"They look to be about five years old. Hi, I'm Meredith. I'm a doctor and I'm going to check you out. See this, it's a stethoscope. What are your names?" Meredith began, kneeling in front of the children.

The girl started, "Indy. This is my bruther, Julian. Are we in a hospital?"

Meredith smiled, "Hi Indy and Julian. No, this is a house. Just a real big house. Now, can you open your mouth and say, 'Ahhhh'? Good. Now, you, Julian."

Meredith conducted her exam. Sage brought back more water. The maid was making soup and brought out a tray of it with crackers on it.

Meredith turned to the vampires.

"They are malnourished and dehydrated, but in good health. I think they could eat some broth and crackers. Then, a warm bath and some rest should do them some good," Meredith explained. "Can one of you compel them to shut their eyes and relax?"

Elijah did so and looked at the doctor questioningly.

"I should take some blood for identification. They seem traumatized. They maybe a bit older than five, but they are small," Meredith explained. She took two vials of blood and labeled the tubes.

"You said the Sheriff is coming? She may need one of these. I'll take the other back to the lab at the hospital," Meredith shared. "They also have a few mild lesions. I'll leave you a cream you can put on them, if needed. I would push the fluids and get them some chewable vitamins. They should be okay eating solid foods, but keep it light at first."

"Thanks, doc," Damon said.

Elijah smiled and took out his checkbook from his jacket, asking, "How can we repay your kindness?"

"No money, please," Meredith said.

Damon smirked, "She wants vampire blood. I'll take care of that. I have a feeling that you all don't just give our your blood easily."
Elijah smiled, "No, we do not. But doctor, please take this as a donation for the hospital. I shall not take no for an answer."

Elijah wrote out a generous check and handed to the doctor as Damon filled several vials with his blood. The children were eating the soup. Damon walked the doctor out the front.

Sage said, "I'll get their baths started."

Indy's eyes found Elijah. He met her eyes and smiled, "I'll come with you. Would you two like rides or would you prefer to walk?"

Julian raised up his arms and Elijah picked him up. Sage took Indy's hand and walked up the grand staircase with her.

"We'll wait for the Sheriff," Klaus said.

Kol plopped down on the couch and put his feet on the coffee table.
"Hell of a day," Kol noted. "I could use a smoke."
"No smoking," Klaus said, knocking his feet off the coffee table. "So, how did Damon seem to you?"

"I like him, Brother. But are you asking if he has any ill effects from the hiding you gave him? Aye, he was sporting a red bum at the tailor. Only you would smack someone with a magical hairbrush," Kol ventured, leaning back.

"I thought it would do you some good," Klaus joked. "My witch, Greta, is quite talented."

"I bet in more ways than one," Kol guffawed.
"Your a pervert," Klaus stated. "And Greta is more to me than just that, she believes in me. Keep cracking jokes like that and you'll regret."

Kol raised his hands, "Whoa, just jesting. No need to threaten violence, Elijah already made it clear that you aren't to dagger me any longer."

"True," Klaus conceded. "But I meant that brush will be teaching you a lesson. I did promise to get rid of the daggers, no matter how much you vex me."

Klaus sat beside Kol and put a hand on his shoulder.

"So I'm to be thrashed anytime I vex you now?" Kol asked. "Wonder what will wear out first? The brush or your arm?"

Klaus laughed, "I imagine that remains to be seen. Oh, I think Sheriff Forbes is here. Be a dear and go make sure Rebekah stays in her room, please."

"Aye," Kol said, getting up. "I have no desire to mingle with the locals just yet...unless they loose and attractive. Say, is this Sheriff available?"

Klaus growled, "Kol, you will not bed the Sheriff. Now, go. Do as I asked."

Kol laughed, "My, I hope your witch comes back. I am not sure with one of us is more in need of a lady's company..."
Klaus made a move for Kol, but the door opened and he restrained himself. Kol vamped up the stairs, but Klaus heard his laughter long after.

Klaus turned and greeted Sheriff Forbes.

"Thank you for coming," Klaus said. "Can I get you a drink?"

Liz Forbes nodded, "Normally, I'd say I'm on the job, but a beer or a shot sounds wonderful."

Damon clapped her on the back. "Klaus, where do you keep the bourbon?"

Klaus went and opened a small hidden panel containing a full wet bar.

"Whoa, you were really holding out on me!" Damon said, pouring all of them a drink.

"So, Sheriff, are there any missing children reports in the area?" Klaus said, as they settled down around the sitting area.

Liz opened a file folder stamped with "Mystic Falls Police Department" and pulled out some printed sheets.

"No kids missing with their description in the surrounding area. This is all we could find on short notice," Liz pointed out. "There was a Indigo and Julian Campbell, born September 18th, 2005. The children were placed in foster care near Richmond due to their father committing suicide after the mom passed from cancer. That was in January, 2012. They were placed in a home and have not been reported missing."
Damon took a sip of his drink, savoring the fine liquor a moment. He pointed out, "But those kids had to be on their own for days if not weeks. They certainly hadn't been washed in months."

Liz frowned, "In a neglectful home, that is not unusual. Tell ya what, I'll take a drive up there tomorrow and check out this place. Something is hinky about this situation."
Klaus ran his finger over the rim of his glass.

"What about the children? If they go back in the system, would they be kept safe?" Klaus wondered.

Liz shrugged, "The system is a mess. Yes, there are good foster parents out there, but they are hard to find. Sometimes they don't have the training or the resources to give these kids what they need. I wish I could say that they would be placed in a better home. If the kids ran away, they could be placed in a state run institution."

"An orphanage," Damon corrected.

Liz looked uncomfortable, "Yeah, basically. I wish I had better news."

Elijah came down the stairs. "No orphanages. Hello, Sheriff."
"Hello, Mr. Mikaelson," Liz said, standing up. "I will vouch for you if you want to keep the kids, at least until we figure out what is going on. May I see them?"

"Of course," Elijah said. "We just got them out of the bath and they are resting. Klaus, we put them in your bed."
"My bed? Why?" Klaus asked wryly.

"It's the only one that has a television on the wall. They wanted to watch a movie," Elijah explained, grinning. "Come this way, Sheriff."

"Very well," Klaus smiled. "We haven't had a child in the house since 1810. Now, two...I suppose we'll have to get some more clothes, toys, food. What do children eat?"
Elijah called down the stairs, "I'll get the supplies shortly. You go deal with our sister. And swing back by the mall and fetch your credit card and her clothes. We can use it as an incentive for her good behavior."

Klaus sighed, "He doesn't trust me. He blamed me because Marcellus would only try to eat sweets for a year. The boy was hungry, what was I to do?"

Damon laughed, "You kinda sound like a cool dad honestly."

"Well, I did get a bit stricter, as you have found out. Now, if you'll excuse me, I best see to our resident diva," Klaus said, getting up. "Why don't you give your brother a call?"

Damon finished his drink and then poured another one.

"Yeah, but I better have another one before I try that," Damon scoffed.

"Didn't Elijah say no drinking?" Klaus asked with a grin.

"This? This is nothing," Damon said.

"Well, at any rate, I'm going to put the bottle back. Give Stefan my regards," Klaus said.

"Um, maybe I'll give try him tomorrow. I'm going to see what Kol is doing. Any chance we could go out tonight?" Damon tried.

"I don't see why not," Klaus said. "But watch him. He tends to get a bit wild. Call me if you need me."

"Done," Damon said.

Rebekah's Room

"Kol, just get out!" Rebekah ordered. "You are irritating me even more, if that is possible."

Rebekah was slamming each drawer out of her white dresser after dumping it out. There were clothes here in her size, but they looked cheap and dull in comparison to Greta's slinky clothes and the things at the fancy department store Sage had taken her to.

"I just want to know why you took off. Sage was trying to help you," Kol said, sitting on the bed, flipping through some old novels.

"I told you. I got lost going to the loo...Then, I got hungry," Rebekah whined.

"Hmm, this new 'don't drink from humans' is pretty daft. What do you think about these camera things. What are they? Eyes watching folks. Motion pictures recording every mundane act? For what purpose?" Kol wondered.

"I have no bloody notion," Rebekah said. "I am restless. Let's leave. Remember that time we took off and went to Shreveport? Just the three of us?"

Rebekah dumped out a drawer of socks and plain white underpants. She didn't see any stockings, bloomers, corsets or slips amongst them. Sage said they didn't make things like that anymore.

"Aye, and Marcel and I got hided for that. You just got sent to your room. It's not like we ate that many people. That one bloke was ready to rip me head off for the pleasure of your company. You showed him," Kol recalled, laying back, tossing her silly novels back on the bed. "You need some better reading materials."

"No, I need to get out of here," Rebekah said. "We need to have some fun."

The door opened and Klaus walked in.

"I didn't think I needed to knock," Klaus said. "Rebekah, you've made an absolute mess in here!"

"Those clothes are meant for the rubble pile," Rebekah said. "Where did you get them? From a refuse heap?"

"Greta helped me pick them out. I know they aren't perhaps your style, but I thought you'd still like dresses and whatnot," Klaus defended.

"No one wears such drivel. And where is this Greta we've been hearing so much about? Is she afraid to meet your real family?" Rebekah spat.

Klaus grew angry, "You know, I came up here to reason with you. We know this is not easy. We have two orphans in the other room that were starving to death and all you are concerned with is your appearance! Kol, would you please excuse us?"
Rebekah's eyes widened, "Kol, no, don't leave. He's going to thrash me."

Klaus exhaled, "I wasn't planning to, but you are not listening to reason. Kol, out. Rebekah, you clean up this mess and then we will speak when you can do so calmly."

Rebekah took out the next drawer and threw it at Klaus. He caught it and vamped it back over to the dresser.

Rebekah screeched as he grabbed her.

"I hate this ugly white furniture. It is hideous," Rebekah yelled.

Klaus lifted her from the chair she was sitting on and swatted her bottom through her new jeans three times.

Smack! Smack! Smack.

"That doesn't even hurt," Rebekah roared, turning to kick Klaus' legs out. He stood his ground and dragged her to the corner.

"You are in time out until I say come out," Klaus yelled, pushing her to the wall.

"On second thought, I ought to go," Kol mumbled. He knew Rebekah was a brat at times, but he could never bear to see her punished or yelled at.

"No, Kol, you stay here and wait her. I'll be back," Klaus demanded, stalking out.

Rebekah banged her forehead on the wall. "Damn, I'm in for it."

"I bet he's fetching that magic hairbrush. I saw Damon's arse, it was still red from last night," Kol informed her seriously.

Rebekah turned to look at him, tears now coursing down her cheeks.

"What? You didn't tell me about this! A magic hairbrush? What in the devil does it do?" Rebekah cried, glancing at the door, wondering if she could escape before Klaus got back. The door was ajar. She was a vampire, she didn't need money. She could compel anyone to do anything.

"I do not rightly know," Kol admitted. "And don't think about leaving. That's what is getting you spanked in the first place."

Klaus was back brandishing the silver brush.

"No, she is getting spanked for not discussing her misbehavior. Elijah might needs deal with your actions at the shopping mall. Thanks, Kol. I think Damon wants to see if you would like to go out tonight."
"Really? Aye, I'd love to," Kol said, hopping up. "Um, good luck, Sister. Nik, don't be too hard on her."

"She'll be fine," Klaus said calmly. "Be careful tonight and don't be out too late. Maybe go a town over? Remember, the whole high school thing?"

"Aye, got it," Kol said happily. "And I'll watch over your son."

"I feel like Damon knows his way around a bar," Klaus quipped. "It's you I worry about, Little Brother."

"Yes sir," Kol said in a mocking tone. "I can't wait to wear my new jacket. Damon says the ladies eat up leather."

"Kol," Klaus warned, pointing to the door with the hairbrush. "Go."

Kol walked out whistling "The Spaniard That Blighted My Life" by Al Jolson.

"You used to play that tune on the piano," Klaus said softly. "I remember it like it was yesterday."
"It was yesterday to him," Rebekah spat.

Klaus sighed and put down the brush on Rebekah's dresser.

"Sister, I know you are angry and out of sorts. What can I do to help you?" Klaus asked, feeling drained.

"Don't spank me?" Rebekah sniffed.

"If I don't punish you, Elijah will. Why did you run off like that? What if that man had been on vervain?" Klaus tried, moving closer behind her.

"Vervain? How would common people get vervain?" Rebekah asked, turning to look at him.
"It is the modern age. They have learned how to split atoms and create bombs so big they tore apart cities. They have giant iron machines that roam the skies. You can speak to people across the world on a machine in an instant. There is a whole new world out there. I want you to experience it, but we need you to be safe," Klaus said sadly. "I know I stole so much time from you..."
Rebekah kicked the wall with her slippered foot.
"I wasn't running away, Nik. I just got hungry," Rebekah said, sobbing. "I swear it."

"You were testing the limits then," Klaus said, he pulled her into his arms and she put her head on his chest. "I believe you. Promise me you won't run away. There are things out there hunting us. The white oak is still out there. It only takes a moment for it to enter our heart and destroy us. Promise me."
Rebekah pushed Klaus away, snapping, "I promise it. Now, punish me and let me cry in peace. How are those children anyway? I do care. I just got distracted."

"Good. Sage and Finn are with them. They may have fled from a bad home. They shall at least stay the night as the Sheriff looks into it." Klaus had just checked on the kids and found them both sleeping with Finn and Sage holding hands, watching them. Elijah had gone out for supplies. Neither asked what Klaus was doing with the hairbrush, but Finn had raised an eyebrow.

Klaus took Rebekah by the hand and led her over to the dressing table. It was similar to the one she had in her bedroom in New Orleans. He had chosen the furniture here himself.

Klaus sat on the armless dressing table chair, pushing it back to give himself some room. Rebekah toed away a pile of garments and hung back.

Klaus turned and moved her in front of him.

"I'm sorry but those new trousers are going to have to come down," Klaus said, picking up the brush. "This brush is special. It shall prevent you for healing for a short time."
"A short time," Rebekah scoffed. "Kol said Damon's behind was still red. I cannot believe you spanked that boy so soon. Aren't you afraid you will scare him away?"
"Not at all. I fear more that he won't know how much I care for him. Come now, I would hate to have to give you extras because you won't listen," Klaus warned.

Rebekah felt her face grew hot as she unbuttoned her tight jeans and struggled to shimmy them down. She kicked them over to the side. Klaus looked away to give her a modicum of privacy as he helped her over his knees, but his eyes almost popped out of his head when he saw her underpants.

"W-Where's the rest of them?" Klaus sputtered, starting at the hot pink thong Rebekah was wearing.
"This is the whole of them. Sage s-said that they are good to wear under tight pants. I like them," Rebekah argued. "Just get on with it!"

Klaus felt his own face grow hot and he cleared his throat.

"The bloody price tag is still on them. Did you even pay for them? You are lucky an alarm didn't go off in the store! You'd be arrested," Klaus fumed.

"An alarm? For what?" Rebekah asked, now staring at the plush white carpet in front of her. She braced herself with her hands and felt exposed, especially when Klaus raised her right knee and readjusted her. Her face was practically to the floor and her legs kicked up.

"Keep those feet down," Klaus ordered. "And you stay on my lap or I shall give you double, young lady."

"Of course you will," Rebekah lamented, tensing as she waited for the first lick.

"You know, this isn't how I wanted to spend my evening either," Klaus lectured. "We have rules for our safety and those around us. Running off, stealing panties, what is next for you?"

"Probably murder," Rebekah growled, squeezing her eyes shut.

Whap!

"Owwwww. Nik, not so bloody-Ouch! Hard," Rebekah squeaked. Whap! Whap!

Klaus snapped down the back of the brush firmly on the center of Rebekah's pale white right cheek several times in a row.

Rebekah kicked and opened her mouth to yelp, but then got another hard volley of cracks on her left cheek. Whap! Whap! Whap!

"Ahhhhh, stop!" Rebekah begged, trying to lift herself up and gain purchase with her feet. But Klaus shifted her more so her feet were off the ground, pinning her with his left hand.

Whack! Whack! Whack!

Whack! Whack! Whack!

"Shit!" Rebekah hollered as she realized Klaus was not playing around. Had he ever spanked her so hard? She didn't recall if he did, now Elijah was another story...

"What did you say?" Klaus demanded, lowering the brush to under her crease area, on her tender thighs.

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

"N-Nothing! Oh my G-Goooodddddddd," Rebekah shouted. Klaus glanced at the door in the dresser mirror to ensure the door was shut. He didn't want the children woken up by Rebekah shrill screams.

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

"Yes, you feel a spanking much more keenly when you are not healing so quickly, eh?" Klaus intoned.

Rebekah couldn't reply, her whole focus was on the fierce burn building hotly on her rump. The only thing she could do was kick and cry.

"Ahhhhhhhhh! OWWWWWW," Rebekah wailed, tears pooling on the floor in front of her face.

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

Klaus flicked the heavy silver brush down firmly, but not terribly hard. He could see Rebekah's behind turning a hot pink, almost matching the shade of her skimpy drawers.

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

Klaus paused to take a breath and shift Rebekah a bit.
"You will not throw a fit before you are punished again, will you?" Klaus asked, rubbing the flat back of the brush against her cheeks. To Rebekah, the momentary coolness was a relief.

"No, Nik. N-Never. I s-shall be as g-good as gold," Rebekah attested.

"Yes, you shall because a spanking with this brush will await you if you do not," Klaus warned, popping the brush down again.

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

There was a knock at the door and to Rebekah's horror, it opened. She feared it was Sage or even Finn, but it was Elijah.
"Oh good, I see I am not too late for my turn," Elijah observed.

"Not at all, Brother. I had to add a little extra paddling in, due to a small fit where Rebekah wrecked her room," Klaus explained, tapping her lighter with the brush.
Pat. Pat. Pat.

"I see," Elijah noted. He walked closer and saw Rebekah's pink bottom and the thong. His eyes narrowed. "Niklaus, may I take over?"

Klaus put the brush on the dresser and stood Rebekah up. Rebekah's hands went to her scorched bottom and she hopped around for a moment.

"The magic is the brush is potent," Klaus warned. "But I'm sure a good hand spanking won't do her any harm."
"Not at all. I got the clothes and the bill was quite exorbitant. I put the bags in my room. The children are still sleeping," Elijah shared.

"Ah, good. I will retire in Greta's room. I'm sure she would not mind," Klaus said. He reached over and pulled Rebekah to him, to kiss her on the head.
"We'll have no more of this brattiness, hmmm?" Klaus asked, wiping her tears away with his hand.

"N-Nooo, Nikkkk," Rebekah sniffled. "Elijah, I learned my lesson. Really! All I did was try to go to the bathroom and I got hungry!"

"I think we still have a few things to discuss then," Elijah said. He grabbed Rebekah's hand and led her over to the bed.

Klaus' heard Elijah's calm voice and then a sharp volley of cracks on her bare behind before shutting the door.

Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!

"Oh Niklaus, there is a package for you by the front door," Elijah called out, smacking Rebekah's bottom with the flat of his hand.

Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!

"Thanks. I'll see to it tomorrow," Klaus said, yawning. He hoped Elijah remembered to take the brush with him. Rebekah was good at hiding things, but he didn't want to interpret the punishment. They needed to clear the air between the two of them.

Near Whitmore College

Scull Bar

"So this is university life now?" Kol mused. He fingered the zipper on his new black leather jacket and smiled.

Damon handed him a beer.

"Yeah, I went to college a couple of times. Never graduated, but it was fun. So, let's get you laid, 'Uncle Kol,' Damon proposed.

"Laid? If that means what I think it does, I'm game," Kol agreed. "It has been a while."

Damon nudged Kol and pointed towards a group of dancing co-eds.

"Can you dance?" Damon asked.

"That is what they call dancing now? No, I do not believe I am able to gyrate like that," Kol admitted.

"Well, you'll get the hang of it. Just follow my lead," Damon suggested, starting to walk over to the girls. Out of the corner of his eyes, Damon saw something. He froze. Then, he heard the voice and looked at Kol in alarm. It just wasn't possible.

Kol grabbed his arm, asking, "What is it?"
"That British guy, with the spiky black hair...See him," Damon whispered in Italian.

"Yes," Kol answered back, following his lead.

"I killed him in the 1950s. He was a vampire and my best friend," Damon revealed. "We have to get out of here!"

Damon took Kol's beer and set it down with his own, elbowing his way out of the crowded bar.

He exhaled in relief when they finally made their way out.

"What the hell was that about?" Kol asked in alarm.

"Nothing...I'll explain later," Damon shrugged, but Kol heard his heard beating fast.

"Hullo, Damon or shall I call you 21051? It's been a long time," the British vampire purred.
"Enzo? How? What...?" Damon asked.

"I think it's time we had a little chat," Enzo St. John replied smoothly. "Esto quod esse videris, Damon."

Kol scowled, "Bloke, you best move back with your coy Latin phrases. 'Men should be what they seem?' Odd thing for a vampire to say."

"Oh, I'm no ordinary vampire anymore," Enzo laughed.

Kol spat, "Well, neither am I, mate!"

Then, Damon and Kol noticed the vampires surrounding them. Kol tried to step in front of Damon, but they were clearly outnumbered.
