Late Pastor Young's Farm

Night

Liz Forbes squinted and cursed, "Dammit, Caroline! What is she doing here?"

The deputy beside the sheriff made a face.

"This isn't a place for kids," the deputy muttered.

"Jose', take over a sec. I'll get them out of here. Damn radio," Liz said, jogging away.

The investigators from several agencies were on scene. It looked like a gas explosion, but Pastor Young wasn't the only fatality. The farmhouse kitchen was littered with bodies.

"Mom, what happened? Are you okay?" Caroline asked anxiously.

"I'm fine, honey. But you guys can't be here. They are trying to cordon off the scene, you could be stepping on evidence," Liz called out. Tyler was talking to his father, who had just arrived at the scene. Jenna was parking the car, Jeremy had stayed with her.

Elena frowned, "Sorry, Liz. We were just worried about April. Does she know yet."

Liz bit her lip. "Yeah, she's with my officers. I guess she got kicked out of her boarding school and was on her way back. I'm not the sure the pastor knew, but we're going to have to place her in emergency foster care until further notice."
Elena scanned the crowd for April, finally noticing her in one of the squad cars.

"No way. What if Jenna and I can take her home with us? Would that be a possibility? She's been through enough, she shouldn't have to go with strangers," Elena begged.

Liz looked at her daughter's face and imagined Caroline in this situation.

"Um, I'll see if I can pull some strings," Liz vowed. "You kids go back to the car and get out of here. Elena, I saw Jenna coming. I'll speak to her and then we'll see what's going on."

Liz went and talked to Jenna for a few minutes. She would try to get April taken care of. She wasn't sure what happened here, but Liz Forbes knew this was no accident. It was murder.

Mystic Grill

Morning

Jeremy had asked Jenna to drop him off at the library, even though he was technically grounded. She, Elena, Bonnie, and April were going to do some shopping for April. All of her things had been destroyed in the farm, except was she had managed to bring home with her in a backpack.

"Okay, Jer, we'll pick you up on the way back," Jenna instructed. "Here's some money. Can you get something to eat at the Grill?"

Jeremy smiled, "Yeah, don't worry about me. I'm just gonna finish my science paper and that's it. Thanks, Jenna."

Jenna handed Jeremy money and watched at he shut the door and trotted into the library.

Jeremy went in and then waited until the coast was clear. He did have the paper to do, but he needed to see Vicki. He couldn't just let things end like this. Jeremy slung his backpack over his other shoulder and made his way to the Grill. Vic always worked the Sunday morning shift even when she was super hung over, which seemed often these days.

"Hey Jose'," Jeremy said, greeting the waiter. "Is, um, Vicki here?"

Jose' frowned, "No man. She, uh, didn't show. I called her house and I think he brother said she's gonna be off for a while. Can I get you anything?"

Jeremy shrugged, "Yeah, I'll get take the special. No onions on my burger. And Coke."

"You got it, man," Jose' said, turning and almost bumping into Tyler Lockwood.

Tyler growled, "Watch it, dude."

"Yeah, sorry," Jose' said, even though it was Tyler's fault.

"That was rude. Why do you always have to be such a dick?" Jeremy asked, throwing his backpack in the booth.

Tyler's eyes narrowed, "Screw you. What do you want with Vicki? You know she doesn't give a shit about you. She's too strung out to give a shit about anyone these days."

Jeremy sat and took out his sketchbook from his bag, placing it on the table. He might as well do some drawing while he ate. His paper could wait.

Jeremy smirked, "What do you care? Does Caroline know you're here? I bet she'd be interested to know how you and Vic were still hooking up like two days ago."
Tyler growled and leaned over the table.

"You shut the hell up about that? You little punk," Tyler warned.

Jeremy rolled his eyes. "I'm not doing this today. I have to take a piss."

Jeremy shoved past the furious werewolf and headed to the restrooms in the back.

Tyler watched him go and then flipped through the black sketchbook. He hated to admit it, but Gilbert wasn't a bad artist. Tyler had tried his hand at drawing himself when he was younger, but his dad always said it was a waste of time. It wasn't a proper hobby for a Lockwood.

Tyler found some cool sketches of wolves and was about to shut the book when he noticed some more drawings in the back. They were nudes.

"That little pervert," Tyler groused. "This is Vicki!"

Tyler's face grew hot when he saw a series of sketches of Vicki naked. They looked like she was passed out, but the level of detail was high. Did that punk draw Vicki when she was out cold? Someone needed to teach that little brat a lesson. Tyler tossed the sketchbook on the table, ignoring Jose' bringing Jeremy's cola to the table.

"Can I get you something?" Jose' asked, but Tyler was already stomping to the bathroom.

Mystic Falls Shopping Center

April sniffed as Bonnie brought in two more dark hued dresses into the dressing room.

"They aren't black, but navy," Bonnie explained. "Why don't you try them?"

April bit her lip. "Thanks, but they are kinda short. My d-dad didn't like me in anything above the knee..."

Bonnie smiled, "You're only what? 5'3? 5'2? They will be a little longer on you. Give them a try. Honestly, there's not a whole lot that is longer. Why could try another store..."

Elena put her arms around the sobbing teen and nodded to Bonnie to give them a minute. Jenna was out in the store picking out some other essentials for the teen.

"Oh April, I'm so sorry," Elena comforted. "You are going to get through this. Just get what you want. This is my treat."

"Thanks, Elena. I know if there is someone h-here who knows what I-I am g-going through, it's you," April sniffed. Elena pushed back April's dark brown shoulder length hair.

"Yes, and it's awful, but you will get through this, April," Elena assured her. "Now, let's try on this blue dress. It will look pretty with your blue eyes."

April nodded and went to put on the dress.

She paused, "My dad sent me away right after my mom died. She had been sick so long with the cancer. I know he thought I was a bad kid and we didn't get along, but he was still my dad. You know?"
Elena nodded with sympathy, saying, "I know. But I don't think your dad thought you were bad. He was just heart-broken. I think he needed some time."
"Yeah, but he changed, Elena. What was he doing with all those people at the house? The whole bus ride home I was terrified to tell him that I ran away, but I f-figured we c-could make a fresh start. Now, it will never h-happen," April stammered, breaking into more tears.

Elena had no answer for the younger girl. She zipped up the dress in the back and turned April to the mirror.
"See? I thought you it would look perfect," Elena said, wondering what Pastor Young had been up to. April was right, the Pastor had turned more zealous and many former church goers stopped attending his church. Something had happened to the man. But what? Elena didn't know.

Restroom

Jeremy took a leak and then turned to fasten his pants when Tyler barged in.

"Fuck, Lockwood! What are you? In love with me now, too? Screw off," Jeremy snapped.

"You got a real smart mouth on you for a little perv," Tyler fired back. "What are you talking about? You're such an asshole, Tyler. No one even likes you. They are just afraid of you. You're nothing but a bully," Jeremy defended.

The words stung as Tyler knew there was some truth in them.

"I saw your little drawings of Vic. Did you have to wait until she was unconscious to draw her? I bet the Sheriff would be interested in that," Tyler went on.

"Those were for an art class I was taking on the weekend!" Jeremy yelled. "You had no business going through my stuff."

Tyler smirked, "I heard that Ric is not putting up with your shit anymore. Bonnie said he got a new paddle to use on your ass. I bet he'd like to see those drawings..."

Bonnie had been telling Elena last night about how weird Ric was being at her house. Tyler had only been half-listening, but even Tyler didn't mess with Ric. The history teacher had an air of authority and Tyler knew he'd see the drawings like he did, a violation of Vicki.

Jeremy saw red and tried to swing as the bigger boy.

Tyler laughed, "Maybe I ought to get the jump on Ric. You're a bad little boy, Gilbert."

Tyler turned Jeremy and pinned his arms with his left hand, leaning him over the sink. He pulled down his already unfastened jeans and boxers with one hand.

"What are you doing? I'm not gay, you freak!" Jeremy said.

Tyler was taken aback, grunting with effort, "I'm not either. But you need a damn lesson in respect!"

Tyler raised his right hand and smacked Jeremy's full bottom with it hard.
Crack!

"OWWWWW, what the fuck, man?" Jeremy yelped.

Crack! Crack!

Tyler had never done this before, but his father had spanked him plenty when he was little. He raised his hand higher and brought it down on Jeremy's jiggling cheeks firmly.

Crack! Crack!

Jeremy struggled mightily, but couldn't free himself from the stronger, tougher werewolf.

"Stopppp!" Jeremy begged. He didn't even have time to be that humiliated as the smacks hurt. He realized the spanking he got from Ric was nothing compared to this beat down.

Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!

Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!

"Had enough? You little weirdo?" Tyler snarked, still spanking hard.

Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!

Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!

"Yeah! Yeah! I h-had e-enough," Jeremy exclaimed, trying to twist in the small bathroom.

"I don't think so," Tyler said with a cackle.

Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!

Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!

The door to the bathroom opened, Tyler turned and Jeremy was able to stumble away.

Stefan hissed, "What is going on in here? I could hear you two from the entrance!"
Tyler smirked, "I was just teaching Jeremy here a little lesson in respecting women. He was drawing nudes of Vicki while she was passed out."
Jeremy hastily pulled up his pants, but Stefan said the redness and grabbed Tyler was the arm.

"You spanked him?" Stefan demanded.

"Yeah, it was much less than what he deserved," Tyler said, trying to jerk out of Stefan's grasp.

"You have no right," Stefan corrected. "Jeremy, is this true?"

Jeremy wasn't crying openly, but quickly wiped away a few tears that trickled down his face.
"Yeah, I guess," Jeremy confessed. "I just didn't think about it at the time. But he had no right to hit me!"

"You're right. I think Mr. Lockwood here needs a taste of his own medicine," Stefan said. "Jeremy, you can stay and watch. I think that would be only fair."
Jeremy frowned, "No way. I just want to get my food and get out of here. I have homework to do. Are you going to tell Ric and Jenna?"
Stefan paused, "I'll talk to you about this later. Okay? Go on then."

Jeremy nodded and slipped past Tyler and Stefan with his head down. He just wanted to get out of there.

Tyler pushed Stefan away hard and Stefan let him go.

"You're a bully, Tyler. Now, do you want me to call your parents or just take care of this right now. I'm sure your father wouldn't be happy about you spanking a citizen of Mystic Falls at the Grill. Do you? It's an election year after all," Stefan noted.

Tyler cursed under his breath.
"Fuck, he'd probably kick my ass," Tyler admitted. "Go on, just do your worst."

Tyler steeled himself for a punch.

"I'm not going to beat you up," Stefan said, his lips turning up. "But I think you should get the same as Jer. Bare your behind and lean over the sink."

Stefan started to unbuckle his belt. Tyler heard the metal clanging and shuddered. It had been a few years since he got a taste of the belt, but he knew he could take it. At least this time, since he had triggered his curse, he would heal.

Stefan went and locked the door, doubling his belt in half.

"Keep your hands on the sink," Stefan warned, drawing back the leather and bringing it down with a snap.

Thwap!

Tyler sucked in his breath at the shocking sting. He shuffled his feet and looked into the sink.

Thwap!

Tyler grunted, but held his position. Stefan was strong, but Tyler knew he could take this licking with dignity.

Thwap! Thwap! Thwap!

Stefan lowered the licks and cracked Tyler's crease area hard.

"Ouch! Fuck. Damn," Tyler shrieked. He hoped no one was outside in the hallway. It was clear he was getting it.

Thwap! Thwap! Thwap!

Stefan added three more stripes, even lower, causing Tyler to throw back his hands.

"Okay! I get it. I've had enough," Tyler said, covering his burning bottom.

"Jeremy said the same. Did you stop?" Stefan asked, ordering him back into position.
Tyler was ashamed that his voice came out in a sob, "Noooooo. But I didn't wallop him with a belt."

Thwap! Thwap! Thwap!

"No, but you are stronger and you really blistered his butt. I saw it and heard it!" Stefan explained.

Thwap! Thwap! Thwap!

"Ahhhhh," Tyler yelped, reaching back again and hopping as his hands massaged his red and swollen rear.
"We were about to be done, but I see you need a reminder to obey," Stefan said. "Now, I'm going to give you five more good ones. Do not move."

"Yes, sir," Tyler said, with tears streaming down his cheeks. He knew he was healing, but not fast enough.

Thwap! Thwap! Thwap! Thwap! Thwap!

"OWWWWWW," Tyler shrieked as Stefan laid the last five in the fullest part of his bottom in nearly the same spot. "I'm sorrrrry!"

Stefan replaced his belt, saying, "I want you to tell Jeremy that. Then, we'll talk about the pictures."

"No, I don't wannaa," Tyler whined, now rubbing his hot behind again.

"I know, but it's the right thing to do," Stefan said. He put a hand on Tyler's shoulder. "I'll come with you."

Tyler pulled up his boxers and jeans and then stiffly washed his face in the sink.

"Okay," Tyler said. "Just don't tell my parents, okay?"

"I think we can settle this here, if you do your part. I'm not saying what Jeremy did was okay, but you were out of line, too," Stefan chided.

Tyler nodded, "I know. I just get so pissed somethings. I figured spanking him was better than killing him."
Stefan let a small smile tug at his lips. "I thought the same thing as you. Now, you ready to apologize."
"Yeah, I guess," Tyler said ruefully. "I'm not much of an apologizer..."

Stefan put an arm around him.

"I can see that, but you can start with 'I'm sorry,'" Stefan shared. "Tyler, you are stronger than a lot of people around town, but that doesn't give you the right to push them around."

Tyler looked at Stefan in surprise, "But if I don't, they won't respect me."

"No one respects someone who picks on others. Believe me, Damon is my brother," Stefan smiled. "Can you think of anyone else in this town who is a bully? Someone who you were sired to, not too long ago?"
Tyler looked down, "Klaus. Yeah, I don't want to be like him. It was cool at times being a hybrid, but I'm glad to be back to being a regular wolf."

"Well, if you don't want to be like Klaus, you can start by apologizing to Jeremy," Stefan went on. "It's hard to admit you're wrong, but worth it in the end. I promise."
Tyler watched as Stefan unlocked the door and held it open for him. The thought of apologizing made his face burn worse than his scorched behind. But then Tyler thought about Klaus and went to talk to Jeremy.

"What are you even doing here?" Tyler asked, as they headed to the table.

"I was just picking up food. Vampires get hungry, too," Stefan said. "My brother is at the Mikaelsons' still and Elena is getting clothes for April. Funeral clothes."

"Oh yeah, that sucks. I heard they found 12 bodies at the farm," Tyler replied. "Officially, it was a gas explosion."

"Unofficially. Probably foul play," Stefan determined.

"Right," Tyler said. He was surprised to see Jeremy sitting in the same booth, picking at his food. He took a breath and then Stefan indicated that he should have a seat.

Mikaelson Mansion

Damon let the hot water wash away all the dirt, blood, and debris from his body. He felt...different. Turning into a wolf had hurt more than he could have imagined.
Klaus coached him to just let it happen and not fight it. Once he did that, the sharp cracks of his breaking bones still was agony, but it happened quicker.
Being in his full wolf form was a blur. He remembered slaughtering a deer and tasting its' warm, salty blood. Then, he ate the flesh. That was new. He recalled running through water and feeling his paws on the ground, but that was it.
He had awoken naked and exhausted, next to Klaus. He thought that Klaus had carried him home, but he wasn't sure. He must have lost consciousness. The other thing that Damon noticed was the hum of magic. Each living thing gave off a vibration. It was subtle on some things, like plants, but stronger in the vampires. All these new feelings were intense and overwhelming.

"Damon, mate? You in here?" Damon heard Enzo shout. He turned off the water.

"In here," Damon called, stepping out of the marble shower.

Enzo came to the bathroom door.

"I was starting to think you were drowning. So how was it?" Enzo said, as Damon wrapped a towel around his waist.

"Odd. Turning hurt like hell, but after the Augustines, I guess it wasn't that bad. I feel like unstoppable," Damon said, his thoughts disjointed.

"Oh great, maybe you could talk your new Dad into letting us strap Wes to the gurney a bit?" Enzo quipped. "That bloke should know what it's like to be on the other side."

Damon shrugged, "Yeah, I will. But right now, I need to get some sleep."

Enzo was incredulous, "Really, you don't get a shite, do you? That bastard would have turned us into monsters, well, worse ones. Or even let us get possessed and you are going to let that stand? Fucking unreal."

"Enzo, I am exhausted. I will talk to him. My Uncle Elijah said he got the list of members. Maybe you can go with him and pick them off? Just let me sleep, okay?" Damon asked.

"Sleep. Fine, but don't you go soft on me," Enzo said. "You owe me. Don't forget that. Remember when you left me to burn to death?"

Damon took off the towel and opened his bed covers.
"I didn't forget. I had to turn my humanity off. I felt terrible about that, but look, you're still here," Damon said, waving his hand towards Enzo.

"I got tortured another fifty years. You should have looked for me," Enzo snapped.

Damon got in the bed and rolled over.

"I thought you were toast, okay? If I knew you survived, I would have. But I thought off and went to New York. Things happened," Damon said, groggily.

"Fucking unbelievable," Enzo scoffed. "I remember a time when you called me 'brother.'"

Damon turned to look at Enzo and reply, but the vampire was gone. The door was open and he yelled, "At least, shut the damn door!"
