Evening

Klaus and Elijah allowed Wes and Aaron to start the dinner clean up. Rebekah was going to take a shower. Finn and Sage had come back from town and were going to watch a movie with the kids in the living room with a newly set up television.
Elijah said, "No more waiting, let's do this."

Klaus paused on the landing, saying, "You know, this is mostly on Stefan. Enzo is not responsible for Stefan's driving, or rather, speeding."

"I concur," Elijah replied, stepping past Klaus. "However, Enzo has been on edge. I don't think he really knows how to behave properly. He was borderline uncooperative during his lesson today. He didn't defy me, per say, but he whined and procrastinated. I used to give Marcel the slipper for much less."

Klaus grimaced, remembering. "Aye, you did. Maybe have Finn deal with him. He's coming into his role as our eldest sibling. You know how they say 'When the gods wish to punish us, they grant our wishes?' I never though he would take his role so utterly seriously..."
Klaus unconsciously rubbed his backside.

Elijah grinned, "Ha, I didn't think the old man had it in him! He mentioned that you two had a nice long talk this morning."

"More him talking and me...hollering. But for all it tis worth, I made amends with my son. He's a good boy, Elijah, and I intend to be a good father this time...," Klaus insisted. "Even though it took me getting a trip over Finn's knees to realize it."

Elijah turned and grabbed Klaus roughly, saying, "You were a good father to Marcellus. What happened in New Orleans was on Father. I still don't know how he got through our defenses...We had that whole city warded and spelled. But do not let me hear you blame yourself or-."

Klaus laughed drying, replying, "Or you will what? Sic Finn on me again? I shalln't mention it again."

Elijah let Klaus go and he straightened his shirt.

"Nay, I would think to deal with you myself, Little Brother. Do not forget that I have looked out for you these many centuries. We had many difficulties and trials, but we overcame them together. As we shall continue to do. Now, let us go and deal with our miscreants. They best be in those corners!"

They had given Enzo a small room off of the hallway from the larger bedroom. It's wasn't as nice as the other rooms, but Elijah had brought down two twin beds from the attic.

Klaus nodded, "I am sure they are listening for us and will scramble in their places at the last moment. Care to catch them off guard? The other children are downstairs."
Elijah smiled and the two Originals vamped to Stefan's bedroom in a blur, catching Stefan lounging in bed and Enzo coming back from the bathroom.

Stefan's mouth made an "o" shape and he stumbled to get off his bed. Enzo froze and muttered, "I was just using the bathroom."

Klaus shut the door. "No matter, it shall just add to your punishments."

Stefan put his hands out in defense, pleading, "Enzo didn't even do anything. I was at fault here."

"You were," Klaus replied. "Go to my bedroom and fetch the spelled hairbrush. It's on the dresser."

Stefan cursed under his breath.
"Something to say, Stefan?" Elijah pressed.

"No, sir," Stefa said, stomping out of the room.

Elijah pulled out the desk chair and sat in it.

"Enzo, come here. I should like to speak with you," Elijah said calmly.

Enzo came over hanging his dark haired head, looking ever the naughty boy.

"Yes, Elijah?" Enzo said, glancing at Klaus who seated himself on the rumpled bed.

"I know this is an odd situation for you. You are out of captivity and your captor remains breathing. However, I do applaud your restraint in not seeking your revenge," Elijah shared. "Though, We have heard you had some help with that."

"Um, thank you. Yes, Damon stopped me from harming Wes due to the little bugger who is now making his life miserable," Enzo said, finally looking Elijah in the eye. "It hasn't been easy. But in truth, Wes has only been my captor for a short time, there were others who were much worse. Many, in fact. I fancy most are long dead from old age by now. But some are out there, still torturing our kind in the guise of 'helping' humanity."

Elijah nodded, "And we shall hunt them down. All of them. Right now, we need funds to finance our stay here in Mystic Falls. And we need to figure out the link between the Augustines and these Traveler witches. Be patient and you shall get your vengeance. Do you trust us?"

Enzo paused and turned back to look at Klaus.

"Aye, I have come to," Enzo said. "You have given me no reason not to. This is the closest I've ever come to having a family in truth. My own human father sold me to a work house when I was four. My sire even abandoned me on the ship I was made a vampire on. Then, I was captured on the battlefields of France by an Augustine. And plus, what choice do I have?"

Klaus said, "Enzo, you do have a choice. If you wish to leave, you may. We will set you up with what you need. I will trust that you won't meddle in our affairs, but we are also inviting you to stay."

Stefan came back with the brush. "It wasn't on your dresser. I had to look for it. It was by your bed," Stefan explained.

"Fine, apologies. Now, remove your breeches and get into the corner for your time out. We are speaking to Enzo," Klaus directed.

Stefan bit his lip and took off his pants and went back over to the corner reluctantly. Elijah turned to await Enzo's reply.

"Thank you. That is most generous," Enzo answered. "My urge to kill those bastards is strong. I'd rather stay here. Kol has been most amusing, and Stefan very kind. Damon and I are getting back slowly to where we were...But sometimes I have to really fight off the urges to kill Wes."

Elijah took Enzo's hands to get the younger vampire to focus on him.

"We would like you to stay," Elijah said. "And I know the Traveler magic may be affecting you. Niklaus will not allow me to do this to his son, but I think if I compelled you, it may help. Do you trust me to try?"

Enzo was surprised and pulled away his hands, saying, "Compel me? To what end?"

Klaus spoke up from the bed, sharing, "To not kill Wes and stay here and attend to your studies. The best revenge I have found is a happy life. Once the Augustines have been dealt with, you will need to move on and form a life for yourself in this modern world. We can help you with that, but it shall not be easy."

Enzo shrugged, "I suppose nothing that is worth it is truly easy. I will try it. What are you going to compel me to do?"

Elijah thought a moment.
"I think that you need to be honest with us," Elijah started. "For instance, if you are tempted to misbehave, you will come to me first."

Enzo licked his lips nervously, muttering, "I already said I have many...urges. Shall I be punished for them?"

"Disciplined, I would say," Elijah clarified. "I see a young man in front of me who never received any direction. That twas not your fault, but to live in this house, you need obey us. Do you understand?"

"He's not stupid," Stefan called out from the corner.

Klaus vamped to him and swatted the seat of his white briefs.

Smack.

"Maybe not, but you are. Behave unless you want a preview of the spanking you are going to get in a moment," Klaus chided.

"Klaus...," Stefan whinged, throwing his hands back to protect his bottom. "Don't."
Smack! Smack!

"Don't tell me 'don't!'" Klaus corrected. "Hands on your head."

"Sorry," Stefan mumbled.

Enzo watched the exchange between the brothers and admitted, "I have been through a lot of...pain. It may not work on me, your methods."

Elijah nodded, "It's not about pain. It's about relationships. When we discipline, the method isn't as important as the communication. Every action, every behavior, has consequences-good or bad. You will learn in time to regulate your own emotions and behavior. But if you do not, you will grew more and more unruly. Young vampires, such as yourself, oft do not live long. They follow their urges at the cost of their lives. We have seen it time and time again."

"I see," Enzo said finally. "So if I am having temptations, I will have to come to you and report myself for discipline? I hope you are ready because I have many...urges. But I see your points and know that I have little else to rely on. Without all of you, I am alone."

Klaus laughed wryly, "Nay, you are not. But you may soon wish it once Elijah gets you in his clutches, he can be a stern taskmaster. Yet, the results will be worth your...momentary discomfort."

"Thank you, Brother," Elijah responded. "Now, let's go to my room so I can concentrate.-"

Elijah was cut off by a shrieking sound.

"Rebekah?" Klaus wondered, vamping to the door way. Stefan turned from the corner to see what was going on. "Stefan, stay here whilst you are in your drawers."

Elijah went out into the corridor only to find a skunk racing down the hallway.

"What is this?" Elijah said, Rebekah came out sobbing and holding a towel around her wet body.

"It was in the s-shower! I mean the wash room when I got out," Rebekah moaned, trying to point, but failing due to the towel. She had been trying to wash out the dye from the earlier prank. She got most of it out but the left side of her hair was still a faint greenish blue.

"Kol!" Klaus thundered. "Get over here."

Kol came out of his room, "What, Nik? Bloody hell, can't I have a moment of peace? Is that a rodent?"

"A skunk," Elijah determined. "But the question is, what was it doing in Rebekah's room?"
Kol shrugged, "Ah, I have no idea. But..."

Enzo went and got a towel and grabbed the frightened creature, but could not avoid the spray.

"Ah, hell! It got me," Enzo complained.

"Get it out of here," Klaus said.

Finn, Sage, Indy, and Julian ran up the stairs with Wes and Aaron behind them.

Julian pushed his way up front.

"Oh, that's Stinky," Julian smiled. "He's our prank!"

"If I was mortal, I might have had a heart attack," Rebekah screeched. Klaus eyed the children and led Rebekah back to her room to calm her down. Enzo was still clutching the squirming animal, but managed to get a peek at Rebekah's shapely form. She had very nice legs, he thought. He covered his mouth and started to take the thing outside.

"I may have suggested it...," Kol admitted warily, trying not to gag on the smell. "But I didn't think they'd be able to do it."

Indy piped up, "I told him not to do it, but Julian said Stinky could be our pet. I didn't know he would smell bad though."

Elijah knelt down in front of Julian, asking, "Son, how did you manage to capture it. You two were only outside playing for a short while."

Julian's blue eyes were earnest.

"Don't know. We saw him in the garden. I asked him if I could pick him up and he let me," Julian shared innocently.

Kol's eyes narrowed, "He let you?"

Julian looked up at Kol, "Yeah, he was not real heavy. I thought it would be funny. You said it was April Fool's Day and..."
Julian drifted off, seeing the puzzled expressions on all the adults' faces.

"One time Julian had a dog fight off a bully for us. They listen to him. All the animals! That's why we wanted a pet," Indy explained. Her small brown face was shining with pride.

"So this has happened before?" Elijah asked. "Kol, have you ever come across this before?"

Kol nodded, "Sure. There was a coven in Mexico...Nahua, I think. They used the magic of their Aztec ancestors to commune with animals. Wolves, squirrels, and one dame had an ocelot familiar."

"What's an o-ocelot?" Indy questioned, as Elijah straightened up and put a hand on each twin's shoulder.

"A cat," Kol smiled. "A pretty one. I will show you later on the machine."

"You mean the computer," Julian corrected.

"Aye, I suppose I do," Kol smirked. "But I didn't mean for you to do what you did to Rebekah. As I have learned today, jests are not funny unless everyone can laugh at them. And Auntie Bekah is not laughing."

Julian frowned, "Sorry, but Stinky wanted to stay here."

Finn asked, "He spoke to you?"

"Inside my...head. Don't animals talk to you?" Julian inquired, looking up at his tallest uncle.

"No, lad," Finn smiled.

"Nik had a horse once he swore spoke to him," Kol added. "But then Father decapitated it. He's never been the same."

The children looked horrified.

"Kol!" Sage reprimanded. "You are scaring them. Elijah, I'll take them to their room and get them ready for bed."

"Yes, I'll be in to tuck them in," Elijah said.

"But the movie!" Indy protested, as Finn scooped her up.

"We'll finish it tomorrow. I think we need to get this hallway cleaned and aired out," Sage reported, taking Julian by the hand.

"Am I in trouble?" Julian asked, his bottom lip trembling.

Elijah looked at him, "You are not to bring animals into this house. It could have been rabid or bitten you. Remember, we talked about this when you tried to bring in that caterpillar?"

"Yes," Julian admitted. "But I forgot you said not to."

"Okay, we'll talk about it. Go with your aunt and uncle," Elijah said gently.

Wes told Aaron to head back downstairs and continue cleaning.

"Yeah, it smells like shit up here," Aaron snarked.

Wes sighed, "I think tomato juice may help."

Elijah turned to Kol.

"Really, Kol? You were supposed to be watching them," Elijah scolded.

"I went to have a smoke. You said not to smoke in front of them," Kol defended.

"You aren't to be smoking at all. It's a filthy habit," Elijah scolded.

"It's not like it will kill me," Kol tried.

"I may if you don't get that smell out. Fetch some tomato juice," Elijah demanded. "I'll start scrubbing and open the windows. Maybe get a fan."

"Where's Damon? Why doesn't he have to help?" Kol asked plaintively.

"Because he didn't put the idea in their head," Elijah said sharply.

Kol rolled his eyes, retorting, "Your new kid might be a witch with special powers and all you are worried about is the carpet? You better call Bonnie or her cousin. If Julian is manifesting this early, he could be powerful. I should know..."

"Yes," Elijah agreed. "Hopefully, they don't burn down the house or turn anyone into a mouse."
Kol went downstairs and Wes stayed.

"I could try to make a solution that may help. I'll need some hydrogen peroxide, sodium bicarbonate, and some dish soap," Wes offered. "The tomato juice may help Enzo more. God, that smell is noxious."

"Yes," Elijah said, troubled by the new events. "I'm going to get a bucket. You'll find the supplies in the hall closet and the kitchen. Thank you, Wes."

Wes nodded, "We didn't have a witch test in the Augustines, but we knew of them. There is a secret place called the Armory in Grove Hill, I had a friend there who developed a test. Want me to call her?"

"I've never heard of it. Let me check with Bonnie and Lucy and I'll get back to you," Elijah said, digging in the hall closet for cleaning supplies. "I knew the children were special to be so young and survived on their own, but this? I never imagined, I will have to ask the Sheriff to get their full records. If they have Aztec blood, it could explain things more."

"Yes, I'll get started on that spray," Wes commented.

Klaus got Rebekah calmed down and then wondered where Damon was. He was just about to check his secret room, but he saw Damon coming up the stairs.

"Son? You missed quite a fiasco," Klaus said.

"Ugh, what is that smell? Skunk?" Damon gasped, covering his mouth.

"Aye, Julian brought one in to prank Rebekah. It turns out that you may not be the only witch in the house," Klaus uttered.

"Witch? What do you mean?" Damon wondered.

Klaus filled him in on Julian's report that he could communicate with animals.

"Weird. I never heard of that," Damon said. "Is someone going to clean that up?"

"They already did," Klaus explained. "Elijah pulled up the rug and Wes made some sort of spray, but it may take a few days. You weren't down in the...room again, were you?"

Damon shook his head, "No, I was just trying to call Ric. We used to go to the Grill Sundays as it was the only place we could drink, but he didn't answer. Did you deal with Stefan?"

"Not yet with all this, drama, as they say. Good night, Son," Klaus said.

"Night," Damon said, feeling odd for a moment. "Dad" didn't feel right, but either did "Klaus" so he said nothing.

Klaus patted him on the shoulder and then went into to the boys' bedroom. Stefan was still in the corner.

"Sorry for the delay," Klaus said. "Since you were in the corner for thirty minutes, I am sure you are much calmer?"

"Yes, sir," Stefan said stiffly. He was so bored he was almost looking forward to the spanking.

"Come out now," Klaus said, taking a seat on the bed. "Let's chat about why you getting punished."

"Is Rebekah okay? I heard everything," Stefan grumbled. "From the corner."

"She is fine," Klaus said. "Now, what are we here?"

Stefan ticked off his offenses, "I was speeding and showing off for Enzo. I got busted, my car is impounded...Oh, and I almost got arrested."

Klaus exhaled, "Why didn't you just call us? Elijah might have given you an earful, but better than killing someone!"

"I didn't think of it. I guess I panicked," Stefan confessed.

"Our brains do stay at the age we were made, eh? I am glad I was made a vampire as a man. I see this immaturely in Rebekah and Kol at times. The years will help, but in times of crisis, it comes out," Klaus determined.

"So I'm forever 17? That sucks," Stefan moaned. "But I guess it explains a lot."

Klaus chuckled, "You shall gain maturity in the next century, I wager. Now, lose those briefs and let's get started. The brush is more effective on a bared behind."
Stefan balked, "Klaus, come on. This is bizarre. We were friends once. Remember me showing you around Chicago? That club we used to hang out in...Now, you're about to spank my bare butt? Come on, man."

Klaus' remember that club and also how smitten Rebekah had been with the charming "Ripper of Monterey." In truth, Klaus had been impressed also. Stefan, with his humanity off, was a cold-blooded killer, as were they all. He shook his head to clear his mind.

"Very well. I'll just swat you until you comply," Klaus said, getting up to grab Stefan and leaning him over his knee. He started paddling Stefan's cotton covered seat soundly. Stefan's head jerked up at the sharp whacks. It really smarted.

Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!

"Awwwwww, o-okay! Okay! I'll pull them down," Stefan shrieked in alarm. The spelled hairbrush was just as fierce as Lexi's, but he healed from those whacks. These felt sharper and more intense.

Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!

Klaus gave him four more cracks and let him up.

Stefan heaved a sigh and slid down his underpants. They fell to his ankles.

"Slip them off," Klaus indicated with the sturdy wooden hairbrush.

"Got it," Stefan acknowledged grumpily.

"You brought this on yourself," Klaus snapped. He sat back on the single bed and ordered Stefan to lay completely over his thighs.

Stefan leaned over and felt Klaus pull up his legs and feet onto the bed. Then, he felt Klaus's hand settle on his lower back after he pushed up his white t-shirt.

"Don't want that getting in the way," Klaus mused.

"No, of course not," Stefan conceded, he felt exposed and nervous. His bottom was stinging terribly all ready. "That brush really hurts."

"Now that your healing is reduced, I'm going to give you a good hand spanking. I don't wish to bruise your delicate behind," Klaus reassured him.

"Gee, thanks. It's been bruised before," Stefan intoned, thinking of Damon's last punishment.

"I know," Klaus agreed. "But we dealt with that. Now, stop clenching and try to relax."

Stefan relaxed his muscles and grabbed the bed pillow to clutch onto.

"Ready?" Klaus prompted.

"Not really," Stefan concluded.

"At any rate," Klaus said, lifting his palm. Smack! "You're getting spanked anyway. *Smack* And I should think you can forget about driving for a while. *Smack!*"

"Ouch," Stefan exclaimed. "But how am I g-gonna get to s-school?"

"There is such a thing as a school bus, I believe," Klaus purred. "You'll have to look after Rebekah, Kol, and Aaron. They will need your help."

Slap!

Klaus was swatting slowly, but firmly all over Stefan's rear. He made gasping noises with each crack of the ancient hybrid's palm. Stefan wiggled his behind and tried to turn, but Klaus pulled him in closer.

"None of that," Klaus chided. "Now, are you ever going to drive recklessly again?"

Smack!

"No! N-Never!" Stefan promised.

Klaus continued spanking until Stefan's rear was a bright red. Stefan was now kicking and crying into the pillow. But the spanks continued uninterrupted.

Smack. Smack. Smack. Smack.

"I'm going to give you 17 last cracks with the brush. Then, I'll get you and Enzo your supper and you will go to bed," Klaus shared.

"Nooooo, K-Klaus," Stefan wailed, unable to handle more as his backside felt hot and sore already.

"Yes," Klaus said, locating the brush. He aimed for the center of each cheek, laying down four whacks on each side. Stefan was struggling, but the older vampire had little trouble controlling him. Stefan's legs scissored and kicked uselessly into the bed.

Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!

"And one to grow on!" Klaus said, popping down the brush across both cheeks hard one last time.

WHAP!

"AHhhhhhhh," Stefan wailed.

Klaus put down the brush and rubbed Stefan's now dark red cheeks. The color was evenly applied and he didn't see any bruising. Just a new hot rear end.

"There, there," Klaus comforted. "You are an old friend, Stefan. That's why I need to share something. Can you get up now?"

Stefan started to lift himself up.

"What? Don't tell me I'm getting spanked tomorrow, too," Stefan sniffed, wiping his face with one hand as his other went to touch his bottom.

Klaus helped him steady himself.

"No, I think the driving classes and being grounded from your car are enough," Klaus explained. "This has to do with Chicago."

"Yeah, it was a long time ago," Stefan said, taking the offered handkerchief from Klaus. He blew his nose and got off the bed to stand.

"Not so long to some," Klaus replied mysteriously.

"Klaus, just say it," Stefan pleaded.

"I compelled you to forget Rebekah," Klaus admitted. "You two were an item."

Stefan was surprised, "Really? She hasn't mentioned anything. I thought she just didn't like me."

"She used to love you," Klaus said dryly. "I ended that by daggering her and making you forget her. My father found us and we had to leave, but she didn't want to leave you."

"It was that serious?" Stefan said, unconcerned as he slipped on his briefs carefully. "Look, I feel bad that I don't remember her, but I really don't care. They is only one girl for me and that is Elena Gilbert."

"So you don't wish me to try to 'reverse' it?" Klaus prompted.

"No, not really," Stefan confessed. "Things are complicated enough with Elena. I like your sister, but if it's okay with you, I would just like to leave things as they are."

"Fine with me," Klaus said. "In truth, it is difficult to uncompel someone. The memories might rush back quite violently. But for Rebekah, it has only been a few weeks since the time of you were lovers."

"Oh, I see," Stefan said. "I can talk to her about it. I don't want things to be awkward between us. She'll meet a lot of new people at school. I'm sure that will help."

"Yes," Klaus said with emotion. "Thank you, Stefan. Now, how's that behind?"

Stefan grimaced and rubbed the seat of his briefs.

"Stings like a bitch," Stefan confirmed. "But I won't be showing off for Enzo anymore, that's for sure."

Klaus stood and patted him lightly on the bottom.

"Mind your language," Klaus laughed. "You don't want another spanking, do you?"
"For cursing? You can't be serious," Stefan grumbled.

Klaus opened his arms and pulled Stefan into a tight hug with Stefan grudgingly accepted.

"I am not," Klaus said with a smile. "You are all to behave respectably. Now, I'll go fetch that tray."

Stefan pulled away from the hug. "It's okay. I'm not hungry."

"You are wanting another hiding, eh?" Klaus said. "You must eat and stay on a regular schedule. I'll bring you up a cup of your animal blood. Just hope it's not skunk."
Stefan made a face and Klaus laughed and picked up his brush.

"Yeah, take that thing and chuck it in the woods," Stefan urged. "It's a lot worse than Lexi's."

Klaus flipped the hairbrush into the air, deftly catching it.

"Oh no, I think we need more of these. One for every room," Klaus said before leaving to get the boys their dinner.
