Chapter 42: Escape

Back at the Makutacon prison, Billy and Outilisa were still looking around the cell, trying desperately to find a way out so they could get back to their friends. The Makutacons had given everyone the news earlier, about how Xanthium had told the world that Paradox was dead, and that the Earth would soon be destroyed with a relic capable of turning organic material mechanical. A change like that would rob the Earth of it's oxygen and kill every human and bionicle. That would only leave the cybertronians who didn't even require oxygen, who would surely be used for sport. Sure, they had only heard a Makutacon brag about that being possibility, but they doubted that the Liege wouldn't go for it. Now that the world was at stake, they actually had to get themselves, as well as everyone else out in a couple hours, or else risk the Makutacons winning.

Meanwhile, Paradox was sitting cross-legged in the center of the cell, in a prayer slash meditation mental state. Though the circumstances certainly looked grim, Paradox remained faithful. Despite his wounds, he remained content that their victory was still set in stone. Even with the torturous screams all around them, Paradox would remain faithful that God would give them a way to escape. Matter of fact, Paradox had believed that he knew a way to get out. Earlier, before all of this, when Paradox had thought about the lightning he had wielded in his overcharged state, he was positive he heard something inside of him say: "You still have some power saved up". Ever since he had thought back to that, he had been praying, fasting, and meditating faithfully, believing that God would allow him to access the remaining overcharge that were within him. If he could just find it, he could finally use it to get himself, and everyone else out of there. Especially his daughter and son-in-law. No way would he allow them to live the rest of their lives in here.

Billy sighed. "I thought this was gonna be EASY".

That statement hadn't been made out of arrogance. In Cave Academy, Billy and the other Toa had been taught and trained how to get out of multiple kinds of prison rooms, including electronic, medieval, prison, jail, death traps, meat lockers, and even freezers. Every test they had passed excellently, which had first given Billy confidence that they would be able to escape with ease. But these Makutacons had thought of everything. No vents, keypads, loose bars, bones to use to pick the exterior lock. Nothing. Whoever had built the cell, must've really thought everything through, and cleaned up thoroughly if anyone was cut open in here. If there had been a Matoran in here, they would've been able to use the blood to slip through the thin bars. Evidently they were not Matoran, and therefore a blood slip through wouldn't have been an option anyways. No matter how hard they may try to look, it was already clear to Billy that there would be most likely be no way out for them.

Billy turned to look at Outilisa as she also continued to scan the area, searching for possible exits or secret entrances. Billy couldn't resist smiling despite their current situation. No matter the odds, Outilisa always tried to find the silver lining in everything. She never lost faith or gave up in all the troubling times. It was an attitude very reminiscent of her dad's, and much like Paradox's optimism, it inspired Billy to never stop as well. Though this time around, it didn't help much and made him a little concerned. She seemed so convinced that there was a way out, even when there seemed to be none. Billy had a small remanent of hope too, but in the back of his mind, he was also considering that there may be a different conversation later on. Unless they got out within the next two hours, the entire world may be in jeopardy, or even metallic to the point where no organic could survive and would suffocate due to lack of oxygen provided by the trees. As much as Billy didn't want them to die that way, he would still try to prepare himself for disappointment.

Billy straightened himself, trying to still look and sound confident as he spoke: "Hey Outie, listen, if we don't get out of here, just know that I love you, and I never ever regretted getting to know you".

Billy had often wondered and worried that Outilisa had doubted her beauty or Billy's attractiveness towards her after she had informed him that she was originally a Bioformer. But Billy had often avoided the subject so as not to make her sad if it were true. But all the while, he tried to think of how to bring it up without hurting her feelings. Because he didn't care what Outilisa really was. Race had never mattered to him. What had mattered, and what still mattered, was that Outilisa was who she had always been. Kind, strong, supportive, battle-ready in any situation. It was what Billy had fallen in love with second, for he had first noticed her beautiful green eyes behind her Avsa, but he loved who she was even more than he could ever love her looks. She could be disfigured and he would still never leave her. When he vowed to be there in good times, bad times, sickness, and health, he meant it. And even now with their last moments possibly now, he would be at her side, ready to love and support her.

Outilisa looked at Billy for a moment with a blank expression, that quickly became a smile as she walked to him, planting a soft kiss on his lips. "I love you too, Billy". Outilisa told him.

Meanwhile, Paradox was still busy meditating and praying hard to Jesus, asking him for the lightning he knew was still within him. Amidst the prayers, he never lost an ounce of faith or doubted His everlasting mercy on their lives. Paradox had practically learned to raise himself up to be like that. Faithful, compassionate, merciful when needed, loving of enemies, fearless. And he never would've achieved any of it without God's help and leadership to who he was always meant to be. After all the prayers answered in his life, he knew that was all he had to do to get access to the abilities he had. Even if none of the prayers had been answered, he would continue in faith. Even now as Billy and Outilisa were starting to lose hope, Paradox never allowed his faith to waver. 'Lord, I do not care what the prison will throw at us next. What I believe is you. That you are the God of the heavens and of the heavenly armies, ruling night and day to bring light, peace, and love to us all. So I ask you again in faith, please allow me access to my leftover lightning from my battle with Insidious, so I may free myself, my family, and all of the Toabots here'. He bowed on his hands and knees now. 'I know you have heard their prayers, Lord. Please use me to free them'.

Instantly, Paradox felt a rising surge of lightning withing his body. The same lightning he had felt in Maya. Paradox smiled widely as he rose to his feet, a loud humming sound radiating from him. 'Thank you Lord, for answering my prayer, and I ask that you would continue to bless us as we fight against the Makutacons, and help us defeat them as you helped David defeat the Philistines. In Jesus name I pray, amen'.

Paradox opened his eyes then, noticing Billy and Outilisa staring at him in shock as his servos glew a bright red and blue, both colors moving like water.

"Both of you stand back". He warned them kindly.

Both nodded and quickly moved out of the way.

A few seconds later, Paradox pushed a hand forward, a massive bolt of red and blue lightning, bright enough to almost blind someone, bursting from his servo as if it had been waiting for him to release it. The bolt melted a giant hole through the bars easily. Paradox continued the motion for a few moments, aiming it at the remaining bars, breaking some apart and melting others. Both Outilisa and Billy stared in surprise and astonishment, having never seen Paradox do this before. Sure, they knew his elemental power was lightning, but they had never seen a Toabot control so much of it. It was more than unusual for any Bionicle other than an element lord to have that much power over an element, and they had certainly never seen a Bionicle possess multiple different colors at once.

Paradox eventually stopped the motion, the lightning fading immediately. In front of them all now, was a wide open cell with no bars, some shards of said bars being scattered all over the floor outside.

Billy was the first to react to the aftermath: "Wow! I didn't know you could do THAT"!

Paradox gazed at his servos in surprise as he replied: "I had faith that The Lord would allow me to, but this is more than I expected".

Sure, Paradox had expected to be able use the lightning like he had back in the Mayan Ruins, and he was even thankful for the answer to his prayer, but it was more than it had been then. Paradox couldn't quite explain it, but he felt as if that were not all he could do. Like what he just did was only a taste of what he could do. Of what he could always do since he had been a child. 'Could it be possible, that there is still much I do not know about myself'? Paradox wondered. Based on the blinking and still surprise expression on Outilisa's Avsa, Paradox did not believe it would be far fetched to believe so.

Paradox's train of thought was interrupted as Billy spoke next: "Well, now that THAT'S been done, let's get out of here".

Nodding in agreement, Paradox motioned to them both to come closer. They had very little time to achieve their mission, so they needed to make the most out of it, which would mean freeing the Toabot prisoners and leading them to Reedersburg to fight and defeat Xanthium before he had a chance to use that key on Earths core. They maybe only had a few hours, unless Paradox could distract Xanthium for just long enough for someone else to get it away from him. Even if Paradox couldn't beat Xanthium, he could stop him from enacting an early apocalypse.

"Follow me". Paradox instructed, looking carefully around in every available direction he could map as they trailed behind. "I've been here before".

Years ago, this had been a medical facility where his dad had taken him to hide for reasons he did not learn until earlier the current week. While there, he had often been chased around by Vector and had mentally mapped the entire area years ago, which meant he knew of every hiding spot, nook, corner and cranny where Makutacons could be hiding. They were probably on their way that very second, but if they acted carefully enough they would survive. Not that they couldn't. They had all been well trained to fight and disarm a superior opponent. Paradox had been taught by his family, and he later taught Outilisa and Slash how to do it. So as far as fighting their way out was concerned, they were prepared.

But just as they were about to round a corner, they all turned to a low voice from one of the other cells. "Wait! We can help you"!

Hearing it, Paradox turned around facing a cell larger than the one they had been in, three Bioformers sitting inside. One of them was white, black, red, and silver with a maskless white face. This one was a Bio-Matoran, made evident by the supports under his feet made to make him look a bit taller, and there were slots in his arms which meant missing wings. Though it meant he had no elemental powers, it didn't mean he wasn't a threat. He was in a Makutacon prison after all. So this mech may have been smart, or stronger than he looked. Both perhaps. That would remain to be seen for now. The second one was a bit taller, having the body of a Rahkshi, a random color scheme of gun-metal, gray, green, and blue, and had a maskless green face, but arms and legs that indicated swiftness in action if not strength. The last one was a green and silver Toabot who wore an armor-like cloak and what looked like two Rahkshi pods on his shoulders, made to be engines to his alt mode. The figure was also spinning and tossing a dagger between his hands. 'Rather expertly too'. Paradox silently observed.

Patting Paradox on the shoulder to get his attention, Billy stated: "Paradox, we can't trust them. What if they're Makutacons"?

"They are not". Paradox told him. "They all bear the Toabot symbol".

"Thanks for pointing that out, boss". The first one said. "Besides, we've seen the news and from the looks of things outside, you're gonna need all the help you can get".

"That, and to get past all the guards". the medium one added.

Billy blinked a little, blushing in embarrassment as he then said: "Oh, well sorry. Uh, why don't I introduce myself? I'm Billy. Toa Billy".

The embarrassment was really a feeling that Billy couldn't help. Normally he was good at catching onto who an ally was. Then again, that was normally when he was in the heat of battle, no pun intended. They were also in a Makutacon prison which meant they may have been Makutacon spies or traitors. But Billy had just been letting the logical side of his mind over-analyze everything and he should've known to look for Toabot markings. Billy would definitely be sure to look out for that from now on.

The first one smiled and shrugged. "Ah, don't worry about it. There are plenty of fake prisoners here anyways. Call me JumpStart. The multi-color bot is SteelBrake".

"Cool names". Billy commented.

To which Outilisa teased: "Oh, so my name is lame then"?

Billy rolled his eyes with a smile and teased back: "Stuff it, you know I like your name".

JumpStart was quick to interrupt: "Thanks"., which made them both chuckle.

Meanwhile, Paradox gazed at the last one, still spinning the knife, as he asked: "And what is your name"?

The Toabot stopped spinning the knife in his hand, not looking at Paradox as he responded: "Well, since It's the name of a song, and I got da moves-" Jagger stopped there, then unfolding six other knives from behind and tossing them towards the dartboard ahead, each knife hitting the bullseye. After that, the Toabot smirked and finished: "Call me Jagger".

Before anyone could comment on Jagger's name, a Makutacon guard approached the group from behind. Paradox reacted first, spinning and putting the guard in a headlock before covering his mouth with a hand, muffling the guards screams.

"Keep a lookout for more Makutacons". Paradox quietly ordered.

But just as the two Toa were doing that, SteelBrake reached a hand through the bars and told him: "Wait, Percy's on our side. He's been waiting for the perfect opportunity to free us".

After hearing that explanation Paradox made a prayer, silently asking for forgiveness. Upon faithfully accepting his forgiveness, he gazed apologetically upon the Makutacon before releasing him. The double agent simply gave him a silent nod of forgiveness before looking to the others. After all he had heard of Paradox, how he faithfully obeyed God and always strived to do what was right, he could never hold that action against him. The Makutacons were all acting out of hatred while the Toabots always acted out of love because of Jesus's sacrifice for all sin. Paradox was also known to have allowed God to work through him to inspire the other Toabots and even former Makutacons to live their lives in the same love that he did. It was an awesome and inspiring love that truly brought out the best in people. A love that had even inspired Percy to abandon the hateful teachings of the Liege and the other Makutacon leaders. After experiencing a love so powerful, Percy would always do his best to fight for the Toabots from within the Makutacon ranks. No way would he ever give into hate or despairing revenge ever again. From that day on, he belonged to Jesus.

"Is it time"? Percy asked them

JumpStart nodded. "Indeed it is, Percy". He looked to Paradox, Billy, and Outilisa as he explained: "He has an override to this cell, and wanted to let us out at the right moment. He's undercover".

"So I see". Paradox responded, then looking over to the Percy: "Thank you for caring for these soldiers, as well as any others you have cared for".

Percy nodded and smiled. "After everything they've done, they need to be stopped". Then taking out a pistol: "I'll stay behind and try to keep watch. When I let you all go, look for the armory down the right hall, follow the signs, and arm yourselves before you proceed any further. They're still unloading the remaining ships and tanks".

Paradox nodded, letting him know he understood the instructions as he responded: "Thank you".

The Makutacon nodded back before unlocking the door with an oddly shaped sphere and opened the door, letting the Toabots out.

Paradox, and his five friends crept quietly down the right hallway just as Percy had instructed, each taking turns going ahead of the others to check for a clear coast. They had also made sure to follow the signs that told them where to go. It made Paradox a little sad as they had continued, as he had remembered the prison as his hiding place from the previous Lead-Turaga. Though he had only been able to hide there for a week, he had some happy memories spending time with his dad as a youngling, playing games and learning about Jesus and mercy. The place had never been beautiful in a visual sense, but it had always had a sentimental beauty before everything. Paradox prayed deeply that these new memories would not tarnish the memories he had spent with his dad here. Until he could see Vector again, is was what he had of him.

A few hallways and corner turns later, Paradox came to a halt, spotting two Makutacon guards, one asleep and the other keeping watch for any Toabot attempting to get in. The one who was awake was armed with a dagger and the asleep one with a rifle. Paradox noticed the awake one spot him and ducked quickly back, holding a hand up to stop the others. Paradox turned to them then, gazing over at Jagger, Jumpstart, and SteelBrake as he whispered: "Can you take them out".

They all smiled, Jagger responding: "It'll be over in seconds". before readying a knife.

A few seconds later, both Makutacons walked over to the hallway, not expecting much resistance. Wrong move. The second they reached the hall, the armed Makutacon met a hard elbow to the face from Jumpstart before SteelBrake slammed the same guys head into a wall, knocking him out. The second Makutacon was aware to this attack and unseathed the dagger, only for Jagger to dash forward and knock the same Makutacon hard into the back wall. The Makutacon grunted at the impact, looking up as he attempted to rise to his feet, only to be met with a hard knee to the faceplates, being knocked unconscious. Immediately after, JumpStart tossed the rifle to Outilisa, who in turn nodded in thanks.

"You three fight well". Paradox commented.

Just as Jagger was about to thank their leader for the compliment, he noticed multiple shadows approaching and quietly calculated the appropriate time to act. Once he had it, he readied a knife and warned: "Duck".

Paradox complied, a knife zooming over his mask seconds later and hitting the first approaching Makutacon in the face, killing him instantly. Billy rolled ahead and grabbed the semi-automatic, spinning to the hall where Makutacon soldiers were approaching from, firing, killing two instantly. The Makutacons raised their guns to fire, only to be caught off guard by Jumpstart and SteelBrake charging, tackling five down. At the same time, Jagger came at them, running on the walls armed with two knives. Jagger spun off the first wall, slitting one of the remaining standing Makutacons across the throat, knocking him over and killing him before tossing the other knife over JumpStart's head and Outilisa's shoulder, hitting another approaching Makutacon in the head.

As Jagger did that, Jumpstart grabbed the gun from Jagger's first kill and quickly shot two of the Makutacons getting up, Paradox and SteelBrake grabbing their weapons. The final three Makutacons rose up and fired at them, barely missing them as Billy shot them all down, killing one. SteelBrake took the dagger from the Makutacon from earlier, pushing it upward through the second Makutacons head, killing him instantly as Billy shot over his shoulder, killing the last one who had also been about to fire.

With all of those Makutacons dead, Billy and Jumpstart kept watch down both open hallways as Paradox, Outilisa, SteelBrake, and Jagger collected the weapons and ammo from the dead Makutacons. Just because they were outside of the armory didn't mean they wouldn't need the weapons seconds before entering the room. Being in a room surrounded by Makutacons, they could only take so many risks.

Once all weapons and ammo had been acquired, they proceeded to the armory, blowing the lock with a shot from Billy's new rifle before entering and searching the room while Jagger kept the door closed and looked through the blown keyhole in the door. Each Toa and Toabot found their respective weapons and more waiting inside the massive weapons room. On a small table were the arrow-blade and shotgun that belonged to Billy, along with Outilisa's double-barreled shotgun and water blade and knife. On another table, SteelBrake found a medium sized dagger with a motor in it, the one that belonged to him, and Jumpstart found his white wings, energy releasing blade, and electric gun. Finally, Paradox had managed to find some of his old weapons, the weapons being the wings, and right arm-blade, as the other one was still outside marking the area of his defeat against Xanthium.

After everyone had reacquired all of their familiar weapons, Paradox turned to the others and instructed: "Everyone, load up. We do not know what will be waiting outside and we need to be ready".

Ten minutes passed before everyone had decided they were ready and exited the room, locked and loaded as they had deemed possible. Their next destination was already in mind: The control room. From there, they would be able to release all of the Toabots and grant them medical attention, as well as ammunition and supplies needed to overtake the prison and then free the city of Reedersburg. Once that had been done, they would finally have a good fighting chance against the Makutacons. They would be able to save the planet, and free the people from suffering the same oppression that they had as well. All of those years ago they had spent in slavery and war, and the Makutacons had wasted their lives letting it encourage them to be just like their oppressors, when it should've inspired them to be different, to be merciful and forgiving. To not let the past effect them. Today, if God willed it to be so, today would be the final battle of the war, and the Liege would just stop and finally see mercy and embrace it.

Two seconds after they had opened the doors, a small army of about fifteen Makutacons charged at them, all armed with guns and hatred. Each Toa and Toabot ducked back inside, firing back at the Makutacons, taking the first five down immediately while the others were either still charging or ducking into the next hall for cover. The remaining chargers were all met to a knife to the head, courtesy of Jagger. Meanwhile, SteelBrake dug his motor-dagger into the wall, letting it propel him forward as Paradox and JumpStart charged behind him. Immediately, an Earth-Makutacon wearing a Kakama sped into and knocked SteelBrake away, forcing him to release his grip onto the motor-dagger. The same Makutacon continued to speed ahead, knocking down JumpStart and attempted a jab at Paradox, who flew ahead with his arm-blade pointed forward, splitting the Makutacon's head in two as JumpStart tossed SteelBrake back over to the still moving motor-dagger. From there, SteelBrake allowed the momentum from the pull to carry him around the corner, and swung his feet into the next two Makutacons, knocking their heads together and knocking them out.

The next seven Makutacons charged at them, Paradox meeting and cutting down two with a single swing from his arm-blade. Just as another was about to take a swing at Paradox, he was knocked into the other two Makutacons by a powerful force-blast from JumpStart's blade, knocking one out. The last one thought fast and activated his Hau, creating a shield around himself, keeping the others from getting to him. The Makutacon smiled to himself, satisfied that he would be spared of anymore attacks for the time being. But just as he turned around to run, he was met with a hard fist to the face by Jagger, who had already snuck behind him earlier, knocking him unconscious and deactivating the shield while everyone else was already busy, calmly retrieving any leftover ammo they could for their weapons.

11111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

A few seconds after everyone had finished reloading, they all began to head for their next destination, following the signs to the door titled: control room. Upon reaching the door, they wasted no time shooting the lock and entering the massive room, covered in monitors connected to live cameras overlooking every prison cell, which held Toabots, as well as the mutilated carcasses of other Toabots, with Makutacons chuckling as the other Toabots surrounding the locations openly wept. In the center of the room was a large, circular panel for the monitors, as well as other controls that Paradox had easily recognized, as the panel was similar to the ones they had used back on Planet X. Knowing Xanthium by now, it was no surprise he had gotten any here.

As Paradox gazed at one of the various monitors, displaying the gory setting surrounded by crying masks of Toabots, he felt a tear slide down his mask and his liark break. As a leader, one of the worst experiences he had ever had, and there weren't very many as he couldn't handle any without breaking down into tears himself, was telling families that their dearly loved family member had been killed in battle. Paradox himself had decided that it would be better to confront the families in person rather than send out the regular letters. But it was far more heartbreaking to see the despair on their faces, and to also feel partially responsible for it as he had been the very person who had sent the recently deceased out into the battlefield to fight.

Again, he could only do so many, for Paradox had to stay strong for the rest of the Toabots so they wouldn't give into the very same hatred that the Makutacons had. Having lost many family members and friends, Paradox full well understood the temptation to just give himself over to hatred and avenge the lost mechs and femmes. Even on the days where it got to him worse than others, only one thing kept him from finally giving in and losing what compassion and love he still had: Jesus's mercy. The fact that he had paid the price for those same murders and for the crimes committed by both Makutacons and Toabots. No matter what deaths had been dealt at the servos of the Makutacons, they were all sinners. No one Bioformer had done worse than the other and were all sinners who were only redeemable through the blood of Jesus. It was the same blood that kept Paradox going and faithful, and it was a faith that he was proud of, and happy to inspire to the Toabots, even if this may be the last time to do so.

Unwilling to look at the torture victims anymore, Paradox gazed down at the control panel, remembering each control respectively. Paradox blinked rapidly at a single control. 'Is that.. Could it be'? Paradox quickly looked back up at the various monitors, looking for any sign of a room created for space bridge travel. After what felt like hours searching through the many screens, he finally found a medium sized room of marble with a football goal shaped space bridge waiting inside. Paradox smiled widely at the sight. That would be their way out.

Billy quickly caught sight of the monitor that Paradox had been looking at earlier, widening his eyes in astonishment as he asked: "Is that a real space bridge"?

Paradox nodded. "Yes. The Makutacons used these to help them win the war on Planet X. I'm gonna make sure this teleports us to the closest point nearest Reederville".

Billy turned his head in curiosity to the Toabot leader. "And how would you know how to do that"?

Paradox looked over at Billy for a moment, with a fond smile. "Because Vector Prime taught me how".

In their free time, Paradox and his dad spent time working on the control panels in the facility, Paradox being told to only look at the consoles so he wouldn't see the operations. Paradox still ended up being accustomed to seeing gore on a daily basis, but it was a sweet gesture. Vector had never wanted his son to be exposed to something like that. War wasn't something one could easily recover from. To some people, it broke mentally ans emotionally, sometimes too much to handle. It really changed people. Paradox was truly blessed to have made it out alive and with his compassion and love for everyone still in tact. It was a rarity that he needed to keep his soldiers fighting in a still standing desire to see a better tomorrow. As long as he kept his faith, Paradox knew everything would eventually end in their favor.

With little hesitation, Paradox flipped a series of switches in the room. Meanwhile, on the monitors, multiple cells were opened and a silence fell upon the area, the Makutacons having been stunned. Next came shouts of war and images of Toabots ducking behind cover, while others used their elemental powers against the Makutacons. Meanwhile, other Toabots retreated, using the distraction to escape momentarily before grabbing whatever they could from the armory and returning to finish the remaining Makutacons, gunning them down while others were attacked with earth, and others shielded by iron. Within moments, the fighting was over and the Toabots were victorious, each letting out a shout in victory. At the end, Paradox smiled sadly, happy that God had answered his prayers for their protection, but still saddened by the fact that anyone still had to die. But as much as Paradox still hated to kill, they would have to press on until the war was finally over, which if they played their cards right, may have been today.

Noticing the mic to the right of the console, Paradox walked to it and picked it up. Paradox then prayed for the right words to inspire them before raising the mic to his lips and speaking: "Toabots, this is Paradox Prime. The last leader of the Toabots". That gained their attention, everyone looking to the ceiling speakers. "This planet is at risk. At risk of falling under the same fate as our home planet did. If we don't work together now, and end this threat, this planet will surely die. It is no longer just a war. This, is for preventing Bionicle and Transformer extinction. Are you all ready, for what I hope will be the final war"? Paradox asked.

Immediately, one of the Toabots said: "We'll fight with you until the end sir"!, followed by shouts from every Toabots in the base, all in agreement. Like Paradox, they believed in the mercy that pored out in the form of Jesus's blood on the cross long ago, the mercy that had been shed for the sins of all. No matter what the Turaga or anyone had done to them back then, it didn't matter. Jesus had the final say, and if anyone truly repented and asked for forgiveness, they would have it. They all had a firm belief in that forgiveness, and would fight so that they would not have to suffer for their crimes. Jesus had already suffered for it, so suffering was not needed. But now, protection was needed, and the Toabots would be there to provide it for as long as they should live.

Smiling proudly at the Toabots who had not lost their faith despite their time here, Paradox gave the next order: "Then my comrades, let us end this NOW"., opening the portal in the space bridge room as he gave it.

With the command being given, no one else hesitated, each Toabot making quick runs to the armory where they were given weapons, ammo, keys to the vehicles and other weapons being distributed to their respective weapons before running back to the massive room where their new vehicles and the portal would be waiting. They were inspired, and they were ready. And regardless of how long it would take today, they would win over the Makutacons and prove their hatred worthless against the endless love in their liarks for all life, that stemmed from their Almighty King in Heaven. Even if they didn't have the weapons, it wouldn't matter. As long as they knew in their liarks that God was on their side, ready to help them fight, that was all they would ever need.

111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

While everyone ran quickly for the giant portal, Paradox walked past them carefully, over to the area where Toabots were still piloting ships and tanks for preparation, still needing to grab one last thing before finally leaving the place. The very item that stood ahead of him, was the arm-blade that Xanthium had broken off of him in their fight days ago. It had remained there as a sign of defeat and humiliation of the Toabots, for the Makutacons to look upon and remember as Xanthium defeated Paradox in what they would've believed to be shame. But now that Paradox was free to bring freedom to those being oppressed by Xanthium for what was already too long, the fight was not over. As long as Paradox was alive and breathing, he would never stop protecting the innocent from the Makutacons. Until the moment he died, he would protect everyone who needed help, fighting until the bitter end, losing his chance for another day just so those who were already forgiven could have many more. Regardless of what would happen in the end, Paradox had decided that one thing was certain as he reconnected the blade to his arm and pulled it from the ground: He was coming to Xanthium, to finish it.

Before leaving, Paradox waited until everyone had left, leaving him alone before bowing his head in prayer, asking: 'God, today we are fighting what may be our final battle to end the war. I ask that you would have mercy upon my family, my friends, my comrades, and even upon our enemies, of whom for I ask that you would show them the true ways of your heart, and of the mercy you had for us, when you came down and died for me and everyone. I ask furthermore that you would protect and watch over the people who still inhabit the city and grant them safe passage out and away from the city so that we may proceed to battle without slaughtering innocents. Finally I ask that you would please watch over my family if I do not return, but protect me so I may not bring heartbreak to the amazing family you have provided for me. It is Jesus mighty name that I pray, Amen'.
