Chapter 49: Now it's personal.

As Valera quietly landed by the building entrance, Green followed closely behind, whilst also turning around every few seconds to ensure that the pair were not being followed. Powerful as she was, Green knew that Valera could only keep her eyes on so much at a time, same as Green. He had failed to keep his eyes open to the possibility that Edward would not let Angela go. A mistake Green was determined not to make again. This time, if Green had a shot at stopping Edward before he could steal her away as a source of manipulation yet again, Green would act and he would make sure that Edward would either remember not to mess with him again, or ensure that Edward never got another chance.

"This is it." Valera told him, prompting Green to turn to her and walk ahead of her towards the building front doors.

"Alright". Green then responded. He looked back at her as he spoke once more: "Remember, you can help with the Makutacons, but Edward's mine".

"Right." Valera nodded as she suppressed the worry that wanted to take hold in her heartlight. She knew Green was not to be underestimated and could hold his own against the Makutacons. He had done it before, he could do it again, and come back to them victorious with Angela at his side. With that reassurance, she gave Green a confident, trusting smile that she had given to him many a battle before, and suddenly she felt like she was back on Cybertron. "Leave the Cons to me. You focus on getting Angela back." She heard herself encourage the Le-Matoran.

Green nodded in agreement before then smirking and asking: "So... ladies first"?

Valera returned the smirk as she formed a fireball in her open palm. "Why, thank you, good sir." She cooed before throwing the ball at the wall, blasting a hole in it. "It's always fun to give your foes a heads up." She giggled eagerly as she ran in, ready to get into the thrill of battle.

Green quickly followed suite, stopping next to Valera upon entering the building and pointing his pistol around with a raised shield among the smoke. As he waited for the resulting smoke to dissipate, Green paid close attention to the sounds around him. Green and Valera had no clue what would be waiting on the other side of the smoke cloud once it dissolved, but they both figured that it would be best not to take any chances and proceed only to end up in the center of several Makutacons. Valera would probably survive that but Green was far from bulletproof and his job wasn't done yet. Even after he managed to get Angela out he couldn't take any risks. Not only did he want to keep her safe, but Green also really didn't need her to nag at him right now.

But as the dust finally cleared and they gazed through the more see through sections of said dust, there was nothing. Green looked cautiously around, expecting a Makutacon to pop out from a random corner and attempt to pop him between the eyes. Minutes passed and still nothing. That wasn't going to keep Green from keeping his gun raised though. He had seen enough movies, and by that he meant he had heard Angela shout at the TV, enough times to know that this would be a fatal move. To let his guard down for a single second could result in imminent death. Considering he had almost killed Killer, he may even be an intimidating enough threat for them to actually wait for him to let his guard down. If that were the case, they were also likely terrified that a Guardian Toa was with them. Regardless, Green was not about to let his guard down anytime soon.

"Something is not right here." Valera growled lowly, her wings twitching a bit as she took in more readings of their surroundings and not liking the results. "Where are the Makutacons?"

As the two continued to look around the room, the speakers screeched online as their target in question spoke: "Oh they're here Valera. Just not down THERE",

Their attention was immediately drawn to a loud ding as a pair of elevator doors opened ahead of them, the light inside dimly flickering in the gold lined and red carpeted interior.

The next thing that caught Greens attention was a camera in the upper left corner turning to face them and zooming in on their kanohi's. Green frowned as he gazed into the lense with his pistol still raised as he remarked: "Really Edward, you couldn't just meet us down here, make things simpler"?

The speakers screeched again. "Nah, I've always liked seeing what my enemies can do before I obliterate them".

Now Green knew this was a trap. No way was this elevator not leading to some kind of trap before they would end up reaching Angela. Otherwise, Edward would've met them down here. 'Then again, Edward did warn me about bring back up to my meet up with him'. Green thought. If any of the Toa had persisted in going with him regardless of the Makutacons charging towards them outside, a trap on the upper floor would've been the perfect way to distract them. Green was also smart enough to know that whatever was waiting up there would be a tough challenge, as it would take a huge distraction for them to split up on this mission. 'Well played, Edward'. Green thought. 'Too bad it won't matter in a couple minutes'.

"At least, he remembered my name." Valera muttered with an eye roll as she proceeded to the elevator.

"Well, he's good with that". Green commented as the two entered the elevator. "He's certainly remembered mine over the years. I'd say mainly because I've been a bit of a nuisance as of recently, but Edward had remembered my name before I became that big of a problem so I guess we shouldn't really be that surprised".

Valera hummed thoughtfully at Green's response as she focused a bit more than normal to still her twitching wings. she did not like the vibes she was getting about all this and it was starting to put her on, making it more difficult to stay calm.

Both Green and Valera's guards remained and increased as the elevator doors closed in front of them, sealing away their chance to back out of this. Not that either of them would ever take that offer. Green's fiance was up there and Valera was helping her family. Both were far too determined to let a series of traps stop them, especially now. As far as Green was concerned this final meeting with Edward was a long time coming, and he was going to make sure that it ended in his favor. As for Valera, she was powerful enough to take a squad of Makutacons with her hands tied behind her back being a Guardian Toa and all. The only thing she really had to worry about was Green's safety. Not just because of their friendship, but also because it was natural to her in a way. Toa were designed to protect the Matoran villagers after all. But after Green had made it into Edward's hiding quarters, she would have to ignore her Matoran-guarding instincts and stand back. Like he said, this was Green's fight and after all the Makutacon had done to him, no way was she about to intervene.

The speaker screeched to life once more as Edward spoke: "Also, I'm surprised you called my bluff with Angela. Rest assured I will not make it a second time". Then in an ordering tone: "All Makutacon guards, in front of the elevator doors now"!

"Thank you for the warning, Edward." The low tone of Valera's voice was accented by the dark smirk on her lips. Oh, how she looked forward to kicking Con tailpipe again. It almost reminded her of the war on Cybertron back in what felt life a lifetime ago. 'Ah, those were the days, when things were not so complicated'.

As the elevator continued to rise and dinged with each passing number, Green kept his pistol pointed forward with the constant memory in the back of his mind that he still had a shield on his back, and a sword hanging off his upper leg via magnetizers. Needless to say, Green was ready for the battle to come. Meanwhile, Valera casually brought out and inspected her twin fire blades. True, she had a whole arsenal of mixed weapons to choose from but these were special favorites of hers that Wheeljack had made to specifically help her wield her elements more effectively in battle.

After what felt like hours, the doors finally opened only to reveal a squad of five Makutacons a couple feet away all armed except an exceptionally taller one, with their rifles raised and pointed in Valera's direction. Acting on instinct, Green jumped into the Guardian Toa, tackling her into the spacious section of the elevator still covered by wall as the soldiers opened fire. As Green and Valera scurried over to the farthest wall, the sound of bullets hitting the back wall echoed loudly across the interior. Echoing that quickly turned into the sounds of metal breaking which came as no surprise to either of them as the bullets were forged from the material Xtronium which had proven to be the only metal capable of piercing Bioformer min. The pair were just surprised that the metal material of the elevator's interior had lasted a single shot or merely just dented before breaking.

A few minutes passed before the firing died down and Edward's voice once again spoke through the speakers in the room: "Oh Green, you were always weak like that. willing to put your own life on the line for others. Too bad it may be your last action today. Unless you find a way past these highly trained Makutacons, farewell my little green friend".

With that, the pair heard the sound of footsteps approaching their location. No doubt the footsteps of the other five Makutacons. Green had no idea what to do in this situation, and he didn't really know if the Guardian Toa with him had any plans either but odds weren't looking good. At least not for Green as his weapons weren't even capable of piercing Bioformer min. At least Valera stood a better chance with her own weaponry and her superior amount of years of experience in combat. Green made reach for the shield on his back then, hoping to take at least one Makutacon down before the end of the day. Yet despite the dim chances of survival, Green still made a quick prayer, asking The Lord for any way out of this situation that would still result in the success of their mission.

Unknown to Green, Valera did have a plan. Now that the Makutacons had foolishly shown their hand, she had a better idea of their strengths and weaknesses. But if this plan was to work, they had to act fast. She only prayed Green could keep up with her. Positioning one of her wings over Green to shield him, she addressed him. "Green, when I say run, you run. Got it?"

Green blinked in surprise. "RUN? How are we going to run past five armed Makutacons without getting hit"?

All Green got in response was a knowing grin. "Relax." She said with a laugh. "In the famous words of my little brother, I've got a plan." Her eyes twinkled with mirth as she did her best imitation of Vakama's voice.

Green rolled his eyes a bit as he crossed his arms and asked: "Alright, what's your plan"? 'And please hurry before they reach us'. Green wanted to add, but at the same tame didn't want to come off as rude and potentially turn this into an even longer conversation.

A wide grin split across her face as her eyes danced in delight. "This." Was all she said as she firmly grabbed Green's arm. "RUN!" She barked in a tone she knew spurred many into sprints as she raced towards the Makutacons, her mask glowing slightly red.

As Green struggled to keep pace with the female Guardian Toa, he began to feel strange. Like air was going right through him. 'An odd feeling, but I'll run with it I guess'. Green thought. 'Not much else I can do anyways with Makutacons inches from our faces now'. Green's eyes widened then as he noticed they were actually heading straight towards the squad of Makutacons. Matter of fact, they were now mere inches away from their faces. But before Green could shout for Valera to stop, a they made impact. Or what Green had thought would have been an impact. Instead, the pair were passing through them. 'Wait a minute'. Green thought then as he turned his head to look up at Valera's mask which was indeed glowing as a weird feeling passed through him like a wave of water literally traveling through his body. Now was the time for the shock to set in. 'A mask of INTANGIBILITY'!? Green thought. Sure, Green knew that that was a thing but last he checked those things were extremely rare. Even in history classes, he could only find record of few Toa being in possession of that mask. Considering it was probably more rare now than it was before, really how couldn't Green be surprised?

Once they had gotten clear of the Makutacons, Valera took him a slight distance further before stopping and releasing him. "Keep going, Green!" She ordered as she activated her blades, her mask loosing its glow, as she charged the Makutacons from behind. "Get to Edward and save Angela!"

As Green followed her instructions and ran slight dizzily, Valera flew strategically around the Makutacons, dodging their shots. She then proceeded to light her wings and swords with her element and dove in, aiming for their weak points and deactivated her mask power with her attacks at the right time to ensure that she also didn't get shot at. As the Makutacons continued to get attacked, one of them attempted to swing a blade at Valera. Valera easily blocked the attack with one of her still burning blades, distracting the con with the smoke that began to emerge from said clash as she sent a stream of fire into his eyes. The Makutacon instantly screamed in pain, clutching both eyes running away to rinse his eyes and leave the battle as soon as possible. Two of the other Makutacons turned towards her with knives and proceeded to charge. In response, Valera's wings sweep back and snapped forward, sending a blast of lava hot fire at her opponents, hitting them both quick enough in the eyes for the streams to exit out of the backs of their heads killing them instantly. A spare stream managed to zoom through the fourth Makutacon's chest, also killing him instantly. Valera turned towards the fifth Makutacon then, intending to give her next attack until she noticed this con inhale. A bit too much for any normal Makutacon she had seen thus far. Not a second later, the Makutacon began to unleash the most unpleasant power scream she had heard since fighting a Makuta years back.

Valera slapped her hands over her ears in a desperate attempt to block out the scream And struggled to find a way to stop him before noticing the familiar Toabot symbol on his head. After the scream died down, she rubbed her ears to get the ringing to stop while shooting him a glare. "Was that really necessary?"

Rather than give a normal response, the gray and purple Toabot activated his silver Kakama which glew as he dashed at Valera with lightning speed and hands forward like he was going to start scratching her the second he reached her.

"Whoa!" Valera yelled as she nimbly dodged to the side, avoiding the attack. "Watch it mech! We're on the same side! What's your..." she paused as she caught a glimpse of a device at the back of his head, "problem." Oh, it brought back memories of the war. She remembered the fear and horror that had rippled through the Autobot army when it was found that those insidious devices were being used. 'I have to figure out how to get that off him!'

Considering this guy was fast and his element was power scream, maybe it had been a good thing that Valera had gotten Green out of this battle. With those small Matoran legs, Green may not have been able to dodge this Toabot as well as Valera had was able to. Not to mention the fact that she could activate her mask of intangibility whenever she wasn't quick enough to dodge. Green had killed a few Kakama wearing Makutacons before from what she had seen and heard, but neither one of them had experienced a Bioformer of power scream until this point. That element alone was going to make things difficult for the Guardian Toa. Needless to say, she was going to have to watch the way she turned her head from here.

The Toabot stumbled a little as he then lifted a chunk out of the floor with a few squints here and there, evidently trying to regain control of his body.

"P-please... get AWAY from... MEEEEE"! He managed to get out before charging with the chunk, his Kakama glowing as he sped forward.

"Not a chance." She circled around in the air, studying his movements to find a chance to attack. "I'm getting that thing off you, no matter what." Spotting an opening, she dove for the mind control device.

Already noticing what she was trying to do, the controlled Toabot turned quickly and released yes another ear splitting scream that knocked her away. Valera let out a yell and shoved her hands to her head in an unsuccessful attempt to block out the sound but as the force of the scream threw her back into a wall, knocking some of the wind out of her and cracking said wall. Valera groaned as her ears rung and the room vibrated around her. Yet she persisted to get up onto her knees as the Toabot struggled with himself ahead of her.

"STOP..." The Toabot said. "PLEASE..."

"I won't stop." She grunted as she got to her feet. "Not until you are free!" Letting out her loudest roar, she charged the Toabot and made for the device again.

The roar was enough to knock the Toabot back in a wall and forward onto his hands and knees. Talan blinked rapidly then as he seemed to have control for the moment. He wasn't sure how, but Valera's animistic scream appeared to have caused an error in this devices signal. And it gave him enough room to start forcing the program back with his own mental screams directed at the device. For now both he and the device seemed to be on equal ground, but he wasn't sure how long that would last. He prayed hard that it would last just a little longer as the Guardian Toa approached him. The closer she got, the more he appeared to vibrate, the device making a desperate attempt to regain control of the Toabot of Power Scream. It was trying to force him to scream at her again even. But he kept his mouth shut as tightly as he could so that the device would realize the error in screaming with a closed mouth and cease attempts in that area. But now it began to force his head up to look at her. Knowing it would move to his jaw next, he forced his head back down and screamed quickly with his voice directed at the ground just in case: "HURRY"!

Immediately, she lashed out and grabbed hold of the device, only to yell when it began to shock her. Fighting through the pain, she tightened her grip and focused on heating her hand. "Come on, come." She muttered. She knew with all the zapping she was getting, the heat in her hand was building faster with her elemental power. Desperate, to end this, she raised the temperature to plasma heat and was rewarded with the device finally falling off with fizzing static. This device was followed to the ground by Talan's collapsing body, the shock of it all making him go unconscious.

Leaning down a bit next to the Toabot, she proceeded to carefully look him over for any other bugs or devices before asking, "Can you hear me?"

Almost immediately after the Toabot felt up, grabbing at the top of his Kakama to see if any device was still attached. Much to his relief there wasn't. Talan turned to his left then, spotting his savior sitting next to him before dashing at and hugging her with tears streaming down his face. 'Finally nobody telling me to kill the innocent'. Talan thought happily. Now he was finally free to once again protect and serve the people as a guardian and it was all because this Guardian Toa didn't back down and stepped in. Talan would forever be in debt to her as far as he was concerned.

"Thank you". Talan told her as he continued to hug her.

Valera blinked in surprise at the sudden hug, but she relax as she could sense the gratitude rolling off of him in waves. "You're very welcome." She smiled, hugging him back. "I'm glad I could help."

While Valera was occupied, Green kicked the office door open, keeping his gun pointed forward as he proceeded slowly into the black walled room with a single light on and a clear glass wall for the entire back wall and a desk that had been smashed to pieces against the left wall. 'Such an ugly wall color'. Green thought. Though none of these details were the first thing that caught his attention. The first and main center of his attention were the green, black, and silver Makutacon and the Ga-Matoran he was holding hostage with a small cut on her Rau. Green's anger grew when he noticed blood begin to leak out of said cut. Whatever Edward had done had been recent. The fact that Edward was holding her at gunpoint didn't really make anything better either. 'The second you let go of her, you are NOT getting away'. Green thought.

"Let her go, Edward". Green warned as he pulled back the hammer to his gun.

Edward smiled. "Green, I've got a gun pointed at the woman you love. I wouldn't be trying to make demands if I were you".

Edward knew what Green was here for. He could see the anger in his eyes right now. That rage would be so much fun for Edward to manipulate. Edward's plan from here was simple: provoke the Le-Matoran into doing something stupid and then killing the Ga-Matoran brutally in front of him. 'Perfect payback for the humiliation I was dealt by him numerous times'. Edward thought. Ever since Green had dared to insult him when he had control of the Toa Voya, and temporarily ended Killer's life, Edward had been annoyed by this pesky Le-Matoran. It seemed like every second he was plotting a scheme with his fellow cons, Green and his friends were always there to stand in his way. Truly an annoyance. All the times Edward could've risen a rank through a deed, he was always knocked back down again. The way he saw it, Green's existence was the reason he had gotten blown in half. Not only would his misfortune surely end with his torturous demise, but for bring the Liege the head of the very Matoran who killed one of their best men, he would surely be rewarded. Perhaps even with an equal authority level as Xanthium. After that, Edward would plan to put an end to Liege and Xanthium and lead the Makutacons to victory with no one to stand in his way. Either way he would plot to kill Xanthium. No way was he going to keep following the orders of a mech who's insanity was increasing by the second. As fun as their rivalry could be at times, it was time for his with Green to come to a close.

"Green…" Angela spoke, only for Edward to tug at her hair as a warning.

This entire time Angela was looking at Green's angry face, begging him through a terrified expression to tread carefully. Angela's own safety was the least of her concerns at the moment. Though she knew her fiance was a very capable fighter, that didn't change the fact that he was in a room with an invincible, hybrid, short tempered, grudge ridden nemesis. One wrong move and Edward could take Green's life in an instant. The fact that they were both armed made the situation worse for her. Edward's only weak spot was his eyes, a spot where Green's pistol clearly wasn't on right now. No doubt Green was afraid that the second he raised his gun, Edward would put a bullet through her and then him. Angela could also tell by the caution mixed with anger in his eyes that Green was trying to think of a safe way out of this. Whatever his solution would be, Angela prayed it would work. If she died, his actions would be more reckless and he would've come here for nothing. If he died, Angela didn't know what she would do. She loved him more than she loved herself. She had given up her own college education for him. He was her only choice for a future and that wasn't by force. She WANTED a future with him. 'Please Lord, please don't let either one of us die today'. Angela prayed desperately. 'Please at least let us live long enough to have a family together'.

Though Green was wearing a hard face, he was scared inside. He knew for a fact that one wrong move would end her life. He didn't even dare take a shot. What if he missed? What if Edward had a Kakama on and was waiting to use it to dodge whatever Green had? What if Edward was about to shoot Angela this very second? Considering Edward wasn't the brightest Toa around, Green didn't doubt that Edward was thinking about doing that. Then again, he was also smart enough to arrange this meetup with Killer's permission. Green was fighting not to panic as he searched desperately through his mind what he could possibly do to turn the tides into his favor. He couldn't just force him to let her go without any leverage.

Suddenly a light bulb lit up in Green's head. There was no chance he could convince Edward to let her go by providing services. Green had already done that and was kinda useless. The only use he would actually have is leverage over the Toabots. If he took that option the war might be lost and Angela would die anyways. Again, Green had nothing to threaten this guy with so that wasn't an option either. But maybe he could provoke Edward into letting her go. Green knew Edward was smart in some aspects. Edward surely felt very secure from where he was standing. But there was one thing Green could attack without any of his weapons, and not even his thick hide would be able to shield him from attacks against Edwards greatest weakness: his pride.

Keeping up his angry glare as an act, Green spat: "You're a coward Edward".

Edward raised an optic ridge, clearly confused as he asked: "Excuse me"?

"You know I'm one of the first Bionicles to actually manage to kill one of you and that's why you're afraid". Green told him. "Sure, maybe you WILL keep to your promise in killing Angela, but what will THAT prove? That you're hiding behind a shield of fear because you're too much of a coward to face me yourself, so let me repeat my demand: Let her go and face me"!

Edward's Olmak immediately showed rage. A lot of it. 'Who does this Le-Matoran think he is to think I'm actually afraid of him'?! Edward thought in his newfound storm of rage. 'I'm not afraid of him! I'm not afraid of anyone'!

Without any hesitation, Edward tossed the Ga-Matoran aside into the desk at the left of the room and shouted: "You really think I'm afraid of you?! YOU"?! Then removing a flail with a spiked ball on the end and a sword, he taunted with his optics red in rage: "Come on then Green, BRING IT"!

With that, Green lowered his act and smirked: "Gladly".

Green was quick, firing a shot at Edward shoulder to distract him. Edward exclaimed a bit in surprise and gazed quickly at his shoulder, not remembering if that part of him was still Toa-bits. With not enough time left after for the Makutacon hybrid to react upon realizing his error, Green tackled Edward with all of the force he could muster, flinging both of them out the back window. As they fell Edward glared at the Le-Matoran, realizing he had been tricked as he attempted to swing his flail at the ledge. Green was quick to prevent the spiked ball from landing as he swung his sword at it and put away his pistol to then take out his shield which he brought up just in time to block a blade swing from Edward. Noticing the ground fast approaching, Green straightened himself with his shield ahead of him, smacking Edward in the front of his Olmak as the pair then landed on the concrete, a crater forming from the impact, the force also being enough to smack Green's Pakari into the back of his shield.

Having seen them fall out and hearing the crash, Angela ignored the pain from the impact with the table and ran quickly to the window, stopping at the ledge as she gazed fearfully down at the two bodies in the center of the crated in the road below. What panicked Angela especially was the fact that neither of the two seemed to be moving. Angela's eyes widened further as the thought of Green getting a concussion flashed into her mind. With the two of them falling from so high, Angela really wouldn't be surprised if Green had at least broken an arm. 'Please don't let Green be dead, Lord'. Angela prayed. 'I'll even take him having all of his limbs broken, just please don't let him be dead, in Jesus name I pray, amen'.

"GREEN"?! Angela called.

Valera's head whipped towards the direction of Angela's panicked scream, followed a second later by her body as concern mixed with the adrenaline in her veins, spurring her into a run with two thoughts looping through her head. 'Oh no. What happened?!', with Talan in suite.

Back on the ground, Green slowly rose to his hands and knees on top of what he assumed to be Edwards body as pain surged through his body from the impact. Green considered himself blessed that he had survived the fall without breaking anything, but still.

"Ow". Green loudly remarked.

Green then took as second to look at the body as he finally stood onto his feet and backed away. 'Yep, that's definitely Edwards ugly mug'. Green thought as he continued to back away further, still unsure if the hybrid was dead. Green also made sure to raise his shield and sword in the defensive stance Paradox had taught him a while back just in case. Green eyed Edward carefully, trying to spot any signs of breathing or movement. After a couple of seconds of limp motion, Green had three theories. Either A, the fall had actually managed to kill him via a whiplash injury, B, he had been knocked unconscious from the fall, or C, he was really good at playing dead. Either way, Green wasn't planning on letting his guard down just yet.

Green turned his head up a bit to the building as he spotted Angela, Valera, and Talan up on the ledge from behind the now completely shattered window, Valera and Talan concerned and Angela looking flustered. 'I'm alive, thanks for asking'. Green thought about joking, but decided it was too on the nose at the moment. Plus, Angela was definitely mad at Green for almost killing himself with this stunt, but it wasn't like he was just going to push Edward out the window without a little extra momentum. Edward could've easily stopped Green or even caught himself on that ledge if Green had only had a simple push in mind. Needless to say Green's idea had worked, but he and Angela were likely to have a LONG conversation after this was over.

"Green! Are you alright?!" Valera shouted down at him, her voice laced with concern and hope that he was okay. Just because she saw him standing didn't mean he didn't hurt something and was playing it off.

But before Green could answer with: 'Yeah, I'm fine'!, Angela spoke next: "Green, you idiot! You could've DIED doing a stunt like that"!

Angela crossed her arms in angry disapproval. 'Green should just consider himself lucky he's not up here with us or I'd be doing a lot more than yelling right now'. Angela thought. Matter of fact, if Edward really WAS dead, Angela planned to walk down there and tackle him into some nearby debris.

Rather than the apologetic response Angela had wanted, Green smirked up at the Ga-Matoran and responded: "And I could've also died coming for you".

The second Green had made that smile at her, Angela smiled herself with a red blush on the cheeks of her Rau. 'Green is so cute when he's so cocky and sarcastic with that little smirk of his'. Angela thought. Oh how she just wanted to hug and cuddle up with the handsome Le-Matoran right now and... 'Wait a minute'. Angela thought. She tried to force her glare back but so long as Green's grin remained, her glare and angry emotions for him were trapped by her more positive and romance affiliated ones.

Angela threw her head back with an angry: "Ugh"! Then screaming: "Why can't I be mad at you and STAY MAD"?!

It was simply infuriating. If all Green had to do was smirk to get her to concede, how was she supposed to win any potential arguments in the future? What if he swayed her into letting their kids make stupid decisions with that same grin?! COULD she even manage to stand her ground with that stupid smirk on his Pakari?! She huffed and crossed her arm at the thought. Thinking about this made her want to rip that stupid Pakari from his face and smack him with it. 'Stupid Green and his stupid pretty Pakari on his stupid face or whatever it's called'. Angela angrily ranted in her brain.

Valera had both hands over her mouth and was close to doubling over. "That sounds familiar." She managed to get out between her restrained laughter.

But before anyone could say anything more, Green caught Edward's swift movement out of the corner of his eye and rolled backwards, avoiding the spiked ball at the end of the flail that cracked and ripped through the concrete as Edward pulled the flail back.

"What, I thought you said you WANTED to fight"? Edward taunted as he began to swing his flail.

"I'd respond with a roast, but my parents always told me not to burn trash". Green remarked before blocking another angry flail swing from Edward with his shield.

'Again, this runt chooses to insult me'?! Edward thought. 'I'll teach HIM a thing or two about angering a Makutacon of earth'!

"Valera, get Angela out, I can handle him"! Green shouted.

"On it , Green!" Valera shouted back, all previous humor replaced with the seriousness of a veteran, before turning to her new charge. "Come, Angela, we have to go."

"Green"! Angela shouted as she turned in his direction, again worried about her fiance's odds against a grudge ridden Makutacon.

Green rolled away from a boulder of earth from Edward and slashed as his leg, causing Edward to collapse to a knee. Green immediately followed this up with a shield-punch to Edwards Olmak, knocking him back a bit into a stumble. Edward recovered quickly, swinging a fist into the ground in front of Green and propelled an earth pillar under the Le-Matoran, knocking him into the air. 'Stupid' Green thought as he slashed Edward across him Olmak on his fall down and rolled on the ground off of his shield before raising his sword which clashed with Edwards. Green used the distraction of Edwards harsh sword on sword pushing to give him an uppercut with his shield and slash at his legs with his sword, tripping Edward forward. Green backed to the side and smacked Edward in the back of the bead with his shield, sending the hybrid to the ground Olmak-first.

Green quickly backed away and readied for Edwards next attack as he shouted up at Angela: "Go, I'll be okay"!

Finally, Angela stopped resisting Valera's urges and ran away with her and the Toabot. Though she was still immensely worried about Green, she knew this was a fight he had had coming since they met the Toabots and that after her kidnapping he needed to win this. Angela just prayed that Green would survive long enough to find a weak point in Edwards min. If he did, Angela was certain he would win this battle even quicker. Not like he could shoot Edward in the optics anyways with both of them fighting so close to each other. She wasn't even sure the Toa Rahayu or Voya could pull that off. Regardless all Angela wanted right now was for Green to make it out of this fight alive so they could get on with their live. And maybe so she could also follow through on her plan to tackle Green into debris for that window stunt.

As Valera lead the way out, she silently sent a prayer of encouragement for Green. True, she would have loved to join the fight or at least watched how it panned out, but she had her duty elsewhere and, while she was a hint concerned for Green, she had faith that he would make it out alright and victorious. The only thing she hoped he would survive is his girlfriend's tirade after this was all over.

Biomarvel740: "My little green friend" is a Star Wars reference(Owned by Disney). Also this Toabot who Valera just freed will have a bigger role in Bioformers 3: The Last War. The part where Talan thanks Valera through a hug is a reference to the book of Matthew when Jesus healed a demon possessed man. Also the burn from Green is from a work friend. And Edward saying: "I thought you WANTED to fight was a reference to Starscream from Transformers Prime. (thoughtful look, looks to Galem) Am I the only one who was surprised by his betrayal in that scene?

Z: (looks at Biomarvel740 with a raised optic ridge) You seriously find a betrayal from Starscream shocking?

Biomarvel740: Well, I like to see the best in people, okay?

Galem: I had hoped he would be good but I didn't let my hopes go too high.

Biomarvel740: (pouts a bit) Anyways, what did you all think of the chapter?

Galem: Let us know by leaving a review, or if you have any questions, please pm either of us.

Biomarvel740: We thank you all for reading-

Galem: and please...

Biomarvel740 and Galem: Have a God-blessed day! XD :D
