Mikaelson Mansion
Outside
Luka woke up staring at the sky. He looked for his father and found him next to him.
"Pops? Dad, wake up," Luka said frantically.
Dr. Jonas Martin moaned and opened his eyes. His glasses were gone and the world looked blurry.
"Where are we?" the older man groaned.
"I don't know, but we gotta go," Luka said, getting up and brushing the leaves off himself. "There's a big ass mansion over there. Should we go for help?"
Dr. Martin found his spectacles by touch and put them on. They were cracked on one side, but he said the large structure. There was a gazebo and a garden.
"No, I think we need to leave. We must have been attacked. Son, let's move. Quickly," Dr. Martin hissed. "I don't like this at all."
"You and me both. Come on, old man," Luka said, helping his father up. The last thing he recalled was that they were looking for something. Where the hell were they? His cell phone and wallet were gone.
"Yeah, okay. Give me a second," Dr. Martin said, cracking his back. He touched his jacket for any keys, wallet, or the notebook he always carried. All were gone.
"They cleaned me out, too. Maybe we got mugged?" Luka suggested.
Dr. Martin wished that were the case.
"No way. Someone hit us hard with a spell. Let's get to town and get out of here. I don't know what we were looking for, but nothing is worth our lives," Dr. Martin said, heading for the road.
"Yeah, ain't that the truth," Luka agreed. He looked back at the house and again wondered what the hell had happened.
"There was a little girl here last night, wasn't there?" Dr. Martin said, stopping. "With a scar?"
Luka shook his head and laughed, "Pops, you musta gotten hit harder with that spell than I did. You're talkin' crazy now. Let's roll on out of here before we get zapped again!"
"How'd my boy get so smart?" Dr. Martin said, smiling.
"Apple don't fall from the tree, I guess," Luka chimed in.
Salvatore Boarding House
Pearl and Katherine followed Damon and the teen boys down to the cellar.
"I was not sure she was going to make it. I tried to heal her, but it was too late," Pearl explained, fiddling with the cameo on her neck.
"You're one of them, too. Aren't you? One of those camp vampires?" Tyler accused.
"Yes, young man. I happened to be trapped in a cave many years ago. Actually, on the night this town was officially founded. And you are?" Pearl asked tightly. She did not like this youngster's tone one bit.
"Tyler. Tyler Lockwood," Damon answered. "I bet you remember old Jacob Lockwood. He was the mayor before there was even a damn town. His son was Barnette...and then-."
"George. I remember George Lockwood. He went to war and came back a bit different," Pearl sniffed. The Lockwoods were always lording over the residents of the area, like they owned the place. Pearl surmised that they probably now did own the town.
"Bingo. You win," Damon said. "Katherine remembers George, too, I bet."
"Shut it, Damon," Katherine hissed. "We were supposed to go shopping. But now we have to deal with this."
Damon smirked, "Sorry to have an 'animal attack' mess up your day, Katherine. Weren't you supposed to be watching them?"
"For your information, we were trying to help you not get possessed by a psycho witch!" Katherine retorted hotly. "Maybe that was a mistake?"
"Is that who hurt my sister? Vampires?" Matt asked, as they neared the cells.
Billy was holding on to the bars.
"Miss Pearl, we learned our lesson. Honest to God. Can we come out now?" Billy hollered.
"No, William. I will speak to you later. Now, pipe down and get some rest," Pearl directed with authority.
"Yes'm," Billy said, watching the procession go to the other cell.
"The last I checked she was still 'unconscious,'" Pearl said carefully. "Her body went through a lot of injuries. They take more time when they need to heal."
"You mean turn? Don't you?" Tyler demanded, looking at Matt. Matt was ashen white and shaking.
Damon got the key off the wall and unlocked the cell.
"You two stay here," Damon said, opening the heavy metal door.
"Bullshit," Matt said, pushing through. He rushed to the pallet which Vicki's body lay. "Vic! It's me, Matty...Oh my God, she's fucking dead, isn't she."
Damon pushed him aside right as Vicki hissed and opened her eyes.
"No, man. I think she's turning. Good news, your sister is still kicking. Bad news, she's a vampire," Damon quipped.
Tyler growled, "Vicki, are you okay?"
"I'm hungry," Vicki said in her normal voice. She blinked and sat up.
"Matty, is it really you? I've been in here dreaming..."
Matt tried to get closer but Damon pushed him back roughly.
"You want to be next? She'll rip out your throat, kid. Back up!" Damon said forcefully, his bright blue eyes worried. "And she's stronger than she looks."
Pearl took Matt's arm.
"Come on, we need to get her some blood. You come with me. We shall have a nice cup of tea and talk," Pearl said gently, feeling terrible about the whole situation.
Matt wiped away tears.
"What's gonna happen to her?" Matt asked plaintively.
"She will be alright. I'll take care of her myself," Pearl said. "Come, you can meet my daughter, Annabelle."
Tyler watched as Katherine gave Vicki her first taste of blood. She was eager for more.
"Slowly at first. We don't need another ripper around here," Katherine noted.
"I don't think it works that way, Katherine," Damon argued.
"Really? I think that is exactly how it works," Katherine snapped. "Don't let her overindulge. Temperance is the key."
"Would have been nice to know that in 1864. Oh wait, you fled and let Stef and me for dead. Thanks," Damon smirked.
"Yeah, well, suck it up. I had to kill myself so your new daddy didn't drain me for his fucked up spell," Katherine answered with a sweet smile. "Mr. Lockwood, are you coming?"
"Nah, I'm gonna stay here with Damon and Vicki a minute. I need to talk to her," Tyler said, looking down as Vicki licked the blood bag dry.
Damon nodded to Katherine and she left.
Tyler leaned down, saying, "Vicki, we were worried. What the hell happened? Why'd you leave the hospital?"
Vicki rolled her eyes, "Why are you yelling? Everyone is so loud. What is that noise? Drip...Drip. Am I going crazy?"
"No, Vicki, you are becoming a full vampire," Damon explained. "Your hearing is better. Look around...Cool, huh?"
"Ugh, I can see those bugs over there. And Damon, your skin! It's so smooth. Tyler, did you bathe in cologne? Jesus Christ, it's so strong," Vicki said, getting up. "I feel like I could climb a mountain."
"Yeah, you probably could but now is not the time. I'm going to see if Pearl can make you something to sleep. We'll need to keep you in here until you can control yourself. They are shooting rogue vampires these days. Actually, that's a town tradition. Right, Wolfboy?" Damon snarled.
"Look, that shit at the founding had nothing to do with me. I like wasn't even born yet," Tyler defended. "I just want to make sure Vicki is good."
"She's not. She's fucking dead," Damon said dryly. "But she's gonna be okay. You hear that, Vicki?"
Vicki was examining a crack in the wall and touching it.
"I can see so much. It's like a microscope...But I'm hungry, Damon. So fucking hungry," Vicki announced.
"Yeah, get used to that. It never really goes away," Damon admitted. "You remember that feeling, huh, Ty? You were a hybrid for what? A month?"
"Longer than that," Tyler said. "But I do remember that feeling. It sucks. I can take care of Vicki. She can stay with me."
"Oh, your parents would love that," Damon added, thinking of Mrs. Lockwood. She always flirted with him at council meetings, right in front of her husband.
"Um, my parents are on a trip or something," Tyler revealed. "My Uncle Mason is back in town. We have those cells on our old property."
"You mean the slave quarters? Bet Mommy doesn't like to talk about that," Damon added. "I don't care what Katherine says. I'm going to give Vicki another blood bag and then we'll let her rest."
Tyler said, "Vicki, Matt and I will be back. Just hang on."
"Bring blood," Vicki said, turning away from the wall. "Lots of it."
Mikaelson Mansion
Kol sat at his desk frantically writing. He couldn't totally remember what he was supposed to write. Oh, everything. He jotted down the whole Rebekah incident and then paused. Shit, had he really stripped Ric, spanked him, and then stolen his clothes. Kol chuckled and that is how Finn saw him when he came in.
"Something is amusing about this, Little Brother?" Finn asked sharply.
Kol straightened and tried to stop smiling. He turned to Finn and saw the other two switches and suddenly the laughter died in his throat.
"Finn! You are going to use five switches on me arse? Come on," Kol pleaded. "It twas just a prank, nothing more."
"Do not try me, Kol. I just thrashed Rebekah and Niklaus for much less," Finn shared, added the two switches to the ones on Kol's bed.
"You took a switch to Rebekah? And Niklaus, you know how Father used to beat him with sticks and whips. How could you do such a thing? My god, over me?" Kol asked in horror.
"Nay, I did not use the switch on him. But I think Niklaus would confuse my discipline for Father's beatings. Now, let us focus on you," Finn said calmly. "You understand why you are getting a thrashing?"
Kol bit his lip and turned back to his paper.
"Aye, for not taking my punishment at school well," Kol started. "And, um, what I did to Ric...I do feel badly about it now. I shall speak to Ric in the morning."
"Yes, you will. I had Elijah phone him and ask him to come over. He was otherwise engaged, but he will be dealing with you at school tomorrow," Finn stated.
"Dealing with me?" Kol questioned.
"You will need to discuss that with Ric, but know he has our permission and blessing to paddle you anytime he sees fit," Finn said, sitting down on the bed. "Do you understand? We need you to learn to get along with humans and respect them. They are no longer just food for us. Things have changed and we must adapt."
"I never just considered them food," Kol argued. "Are you thinking of France? Of Spain? Finn, that was ages ago."
"Not to me," Finn clarified. "I remember when I though all of you were filthy gluttons. The more you fed, the colder and further away from your humanity you got until I recognized none of you."
Kol pushed out of his chair.
"You hardly wanted to recognize that when we were children," Kol scoffed.
"That is not true, Kol. Do you not remember when we would play in the meadow? Or all the times I had to threaten to get Mother when the others harped on you about your snoring? Or you wetting your furs?" Finn asked carefully.
Kol barked out a laugh, saying, "You had to bring up me pissing the bed, eh? I was afraid to get up. Ayana used to tell me tales of demons snatching children who got out of bed at night. But you did clean me up those times. Then, something changed."
Finn took out the hairbrush and laid it on the bed.
"Aye, you grew older. You did not need me to help you change. Elijah and the others were more fun. I had to help Mother with the work. With Father out half the time raiding or whatever he was doing, someone had to pick up the slack," Finn said gravely. "I was but a boy myself. And at times, seeing all of you together reminded me of what I had lost."
"Lost? What do you mean, Brother?" Kol inquired, standing near the desk.
"Our eldest sister, Freya," Finn said after a moment. "She was my only companion in the Old World. We were inseparable. Seeing Indy and Julian so close has reminded me of her so much. Then, she died of plague one winter and we came here."
"Oh," Kol said, unsure of how to respond. "No one ever spoke of her."
"Nay, it was too painful, but Mother and I used to. Father changed from our hero into the nightmare he became. I wish the rest of you could have known her, but tis the way of things I suppose," Finn finished.
"Yes, if she would have lived, things would have been more different," Kol said. "I am sorry, Finn. I wish you would have told us this."
"Me, too, Kol," Finn replied, clearing his throat. "But we still have to do this. So, off with your night clothes. As I told Niklaus, I shall not wrestle with the fabrics of your blouse."
Kol snickered, "They call it a shirt in men. It is a blouse for women."
Finn nodded, "Oh, tis good to know. I am learning much from the television box and hearing you all speak. Everyone in this house speaks almost non-stop."
"Yes, rarely a moment's peace," Kol conceded, taking off his shirt and pants. He stripped off his underpants unabashedly. He just wanted this over with.
Finn put a pillow over his left thigh and had Kol lean over. He held his lower back and pressed the flat side of the hairbrush into the center of Kol's bare backside.
Kol sucked in his breath and tensed.
"Relax," Finn said, lifting the brush. Unlike Rebekah, he started out slowly. He used his wrist to snap the brush down, going from side to side. Smack. Smack.
Smack. Smack.
"So much for my healing," Kol joked, feeling each slap of the brush keenly.
"Mayhaps this will heal the hurt inside you, Brother," Finn said so sadly that Kol tried to turn and look at him. "No, face forward. We are far from done."
Finn reddened Kol's behind and then took to swatting him with his large hand.
Slap! Slap!
Slap! Slap!
Kol gasped and tried to keep his legs still, but failed. It bloody hurt more somehow. Finn wrapped his big right leg over Kol's, hooking them into place. His little brother was not getting out of this one easily.
"Ah, Finn! Stop! Please," Kol finally exploded after several of the heavy slaps pelted his lower cheeks.
Slap! Slap!
Slap! Slap!
"I should have been there for you all," Finn commented, still maintaining a steady pace.
Slap! Slap!
Slap! Slap!
"Owwww," Kol sniffed, willing himself not to cry. Not from a simple hand spanking.
Slap! Slap!
Slap! Slap!
"Let it out, Kol," Finn said with caring. "You hold it all in and it eats you up!"
Kol screwed his eyes shut and clenched the best that he could, but Finn lowered his smacks to the crease area.
Slap! Slap!
Slap! Slap!
"Ahhhhh!" Kol exclaimed, trying to push himself up.
"Nay," Finn said, tightening his grip on Kol's legs with his leg. "You did something very wrong today."
Slap! Slap!
"Owww. Ouch! I k-know," Kol tried, now breaking into soft sobs. Finn cracked his hand all over Kol's seat until it was a uniform pink hue.
Slap! Slap!
"You are going to tell Ric you got a sound spanking and ask him to punish you again," Finn determined. "The rest is up to him."
"Waaaaa, o-okay," Kol moaned in a ragged voice. Tears were coursing down his face and his nose was running like a faucet.
"I think your hind end is ready for the stick. I am going to let you up. Go get it for me. No rubbing," Finn warned, unlatching his leg and helping Kol to stand.
Kol winced, but managed to not touch his flaming hot bottom. He picked his way over and got a switch and handed it to Finn. Finn stood and directed Kol to lean over, but then changed his mind and gripped Kol's hands. Kol's eyes widened and he knew what was coming. But nothing prepared him for the sharp cracking sound and then line of fire across his backside.
Thwack!
Finn brought down the switch firmly across both of Kol's pink cheeks.
"Ohhhh," Kol fussed, trying to keep out of the way. Finn was prepared and cracked him again, right below.
Thwack!
As Finn worked the switch done, Kol hopped in a circle, trying to escape.
Thwack!
Kol thought he would be laughing if he could see himself, but then was distracted by another fiery lick.
Thwack!
"Ohhhhhh! Damn," Kol shouted.
Thwack! Thwack! Thwack! Thwack!
Finn gave him a good amount. He snapped the stick and grabbed another.
Thwack! Thwack! Thwack! Thwack!
Kol shouted and hopped in a circle, but was unable to break free.
Thwack! Thwack! Thwack! Thwack!
Finally, after Kol's thighs and behind were crisscrossed with angry stripes, Finn stopped. He snapped the second branch and let Kol hop around trying to extinguish the fire he had set. He knew nothing, aside from time, would help.
Finn broke the other switches and threw them in the cold fire place.
"Now, what are you going to do tomorrow?" Finn prompted after a moment.
Kol gingerly touched his behind and said, "Apologize to R-Ric, I mean, Mr. S-Saltzman and tell h-him I g-got licked. Then, a-ask for a-another o-one."
"That tis about right," Finn determined. He could not help but smile at how young Kol looked. He opened his arms and Kol dove in them, crying into his shoulder. Finn ran his fingers through Kol's hair and held him.
"Now, you clean up and finish your punishment writing. You know, Elijah will be looking over it. Then, you can get dressed," Finn said, getting some tissues from the box to give to Kol.
"But if the o-others c-come in?" Kol stuttered.
"They will see what happens when you play up at school," Finn finished. "I love you, Kol. Now, sit your stinging rear down and do as you were told."
Kol eyed the hard chair with distain, but carefully placed himself in it with a soft whine.
"Owwww," Kol fussed.
"Now, I need to check on Rebekah. We need to see some good behavior out of you or we shall do a whole week of spankings to get you in line," Finn warned, wagging his finger towards Kol's back.
"Y-Yes, Brother," Kol answered, shifting and trying to find a comfortable spot.
Finn kissed Kol on the head and left, shutting the door. He crossed to Rebekah's room and found her still in the corner in her bra and panties.
"Sister, are you ready to speak respectfully?" Finn inquired.
"I a-am, Finn," Rebekah said, wiping at her mouth. The soap still tasted awful. "I w-will never curse again."
"Good. Words can hurt and cause damage to the people you love. I want you to remember that when you are angry. Now, get dressed and go wash out your mouth," Finn said.
"Okay," Rebekah said, vamping to the bathroom. He watched as she splashed water into her mouth several times. Finn handed her a clean towel and she wiped her mouth clean. He got her flowered robe from the hook on the bathroom door and handed it her. She nodded at him, but put on the silk robe.
"I know you are still angry and-," Finn started, but Rebekah hugged him hard. Finn was momentarily shocked, but managed to return the embrace.
"I'm not angry at you," Rebekah said softly. "I don't want to be angry at all...I feel better now. Really, I do."
Finn smoothed back her hair.
"I do like the hair. I should have told you that before," Finn apologized. "Why don't we do something this week? Maybe even you, me, and Kol?"
Rebekah smiled demurely, "I would like that. But Sage can come, too. And maybe the kids. Oh heck, we should all go out."
Finn laughed, "Yes, we should, but I meant that we should carve out some time to talk. How about I'll come and tuck you in tonight?"
Rebekah's eyes filled with tears.
"Niklaus and Elijah used to do that, you know," Rebekah sniffed. "In the old house in New Orleans. Sometimes I would have to hid Marcellus under the bed..."
"You were happy there then?" Finn asked, wiping away her tear with his thumb.
"Oh yes, for a time, we were very happy. Then, we were devastated. It's funny but you never know how happy you are until it is over," Rebekah mused. "But I am happy you are back with us. I would have taken out the dagger, if only Nik hadn't always hid your coffin."
Finn laughed louder, "Oh you would have. What? Just to vex him more?"
"Maybe," Rebekah teased. "Maybe not?"
Finn hugged her again.
"You're all forgiven, but no more feeding at school. You call one of us and we shall bring you what you need," Finn reminded her.
"You? Are you going to ride a horse?" Rebekah grinned.
"Sage is teaching me how to drive," Finn confessed. "She said I am a rather 'cautious and reliable' driver. So yes, I can deliver you what you need."
"Lip gloss? My homework? Blood? Sounds like a good deal," Rebekah added. "Or how about a pillow for me to sit on tomorrow? That dang brush seems to work too well."
"Or just well enough," Finn cautioned. "Now, get dressed. It's almost six. I do not want to be the next one to get a hiding for being late for supper."

Dinner Time
The burned child ate the pizza she found and watched the snake. It was still on the rafters lounging.
"You're a pretty fellow," she complimented. "I am happy I saved you. And you took care of those pesky mice...Want some cold pizza? Me either, but it was all I could get."
When the snake did not reply, the girl finished her pizza and shuffled into her corner. She made her own nest of old blankets and discarded clothing. It smelled musty, but she rubbed the unique pendant around her neck. It contained herbs that had been prepared for serious magic. The smell of basil, vervain, henbane, belladonna, and monkshood emerged.
