The mother and daughter duo of phantom thieves remained within the walls of the British History Museum, planning to steal the Umbran artifact from the inside, hiding from security inside a pair of storage closets past closing hours. And around a few hours before the strike of midnight, Bayonetta B4D78 and Rosa started their heist. The daughter of the mother and daughter duo was on security duty, rather quickly making her way to the main security room and knocking out the guard before turning off most of the various alarms in the building, the exception being the fire alarm as while Bayonetta B4D78 and her mother were phantom thieves and Umbra Witches, they preferred to avoid killing humans and preferred to limit their carnage to the forces of Paradiso, the realm of Light, in order to maintain the Contracts of the Infernal Demons that granted them and their weapons power. However, despite being able to focus on performing her part, there was something that Bayonetta B4D78 couldn't stop her thoughts from wandering towards, the young girl who caused the Umbran artifact to light up. Normally she wouldn't pay much attention to a stranger but there was something that made Bayonetta B4D78 unable to get the girl out of her thoughts and that something was (for some reason) kinship.
That unexplained kinship was a strong contributing factor regarding why Bayonetta B4D78 could vividly remember details about the girl that she normally wouldn't have paid attention to. The most notable ones being the girl's hair color, auburn, eye color, pale silvery gray, and more importantly (interestingly), the girl's name, despite only having heard it once in the form of a shout, Hallii, after the Latin name of a kind of flower native to the United States. A name that almost felt familiar to the Phantom Thief Witch for some inexplicable reason. Another thing that didn't make much sense to Bayonetta B4D78 was the mysterious letter she received without noticing during a street performance that contained information that prompted the heist she and her Mamon were undertaking. What made it not make much sense were a few things, most notably the sheer accuracy of the information, the very official looking crest of the wax seal, a pair of snakes biting each other's tails while forming a stylized infinity symbol, and the name (or rather title) it was signed with. The Observer of Infinity.
Bayonetta B4D78 didn't let herself get too distracted by her thoughts that weren't related to the heist as a quick series of pulses of Umbran Magic from Mamon made her turn her attention towards the various screens of the security system displaying the various parts of the museum. After overviewing the footage on the screens, Bayonetta B4D78 decided that she was in the clear to make her way to the room where the Umbran artifact was kept. However, as the Phantom Thief Witch left the room, something happened that went unnoticed by Bayonetta B4D78. A small figure was making their way towards the same room as Bayonetta B4D78 and Rosa was blurrily captured in the security footage. And that small figure was the young girl who Bayonetta B4D78 simply couldn't get out of her head. Hallii.
