Mikaelson Mansion

Night

"It is done," Lucy heaved, as the black kyanite stones lay charged and ready. She distributed the rings to the assembled werewolves: Ava, Mason, and Tyler. "You now command your curse, as you will. Use them wisely and do not remove them. Ever."

Mason slipped on Tyler's ring and put on his own. The bands were silver, which would aid their werewolf healing.

Klaus knelt down and put Ava's small ring on with a flourish.

"Allow me, my lady," Klaus said, taking her small hand and slipping on the ring. "There, you are now effectively a hybrid. Some day we shall hunt in the woods together, when you are ready."

"Hunt? Like animals?" Ava giggled, splaying out her hand to admire the inky colored stone.

"We can hunt whatever you wish. Our enemies perhaps?" Klaus chuckled.

"Niklaus, such a thing to say to the child," Elijah chastised, appearing behind his brother.

"Oh, you are back. Have a nice chat with your lady-friend?" Klaus retorted.

"Not really," Elijah admitted. "I have no idea how they got through our defenses. Sage, Enzo, are you alright?"

Finn threw his arms around Sage. "My darling, I am so sorry. I do not see how they got you."

Sage watched as Bonnie chatted with Ava and led her away, back to the house.

"It was their witches. They snatched me and made it so I could not move, but I felt no fear. Just a feeling of euphoria, it was disconcerting. Their magic is strong...they came out of no where," Sage said, feeling the chill in the air. As Finn released her, she hugged her arms around herself.

"It was as Sage said," Ric agreed. "They took Elena and me from our driveway as we were packing the car. I-I have to call Jenna. They took some blood from Elena."

Ric shuffled off to the side, now shaking and called his fiancé.
Damon was quietly talking to Elena.

Klaus and Elijah exchanged a look. Elijah frowned and patted Sage on the arm.

"I am sorry that we let this happen," Elijah apologized. "Elena, may we have a word?"

Damon embraced her and pulled away, as Elena nodded and approached the Originals.

"Are you well, my dear?" Elijah purred. "Ric said they drew your blood. Did they harm you?"
Elena swept back her dark hair, her brown eyes blazing.

"No, I felt nothing. We were under some sort of spell. The man who took my blood was actually very...polite. It was weird," Elena revealed. "Damon just told me about Caroline, but I still feel numb, like I'm in a dream. I need to go see her."

"In a moment, please. A man? I thought The Sisters would be comprised of all males," Klaus noted.

"No, this guy was very handsome, dark and charming," Elena recalled. "He was almost apologetic, like he didn't want to be doing what he was doing."

"Did you catch a name?" Elijah prodded, brushing a particle from his foray into the woods with Aya from his sleeve.

"No, the witches seemed like they could communicate without speaking. It was so odd. I can't shake the feeling like they were arguing with each other, but no one said anything aloud," Elena commented. "Can we go home now?"

Elijah paused, "Elena, I am going to speak to Ric when he is off the phone. I know you have your lake trip planned, but Aya mentioned that you may be in danger. Perhaps you should stay here?"

"Here? No, we wanted to go through some of my parents things. We haven't been to the lake since-," Elena stopped, not wanting to mention her parents' deaths aloud.

Damon vamped over. "What's going on? Please tell me we are going to get some payback for what they did!"

Elijah shook his head. "Nay, not now. They were not here to harm us, merely give us a warning. Let us speak more in the house."

Klaus announced, "Lucy, can we clean up tomorrow? I think we ought to reconvene in the house, away from prying eyes and ears."

Ric got off the phone and came over, still shaken.

"Jenna and Jeremy were unharmed. Another witch stayed in the house with them, keeping them calm. What the hell was that?" Ric exclaimed.

"I will tell you what she told me. Quickly, everyone, let us go," Elijah said, ushering the rest of the group into the kitchen.

"I'll make some tea," Klaus said.

Sage took Ava upstairs to bed as the child was yawing and almost asleep on her feet. Ric, Elena, Tyler, and Mason were escorted by Kol down to the basement level to check on Caroline. Stefan was still down there with her, waiting for her to wake up.

Rebekah came down as Klaus was pouring the tea.

"What the bloody hell happened? The Strix were here?" Rebekah asked, as she came in the kitchen with Enzo.

"You two should hear this, too," Elijah said, washing his hands at the sink. "Everyone, please have a seat."

Salvatore Boarding House

Pearl had Vicki locked in her upstairs bedroom. The baby vamp was still sleeping. Harper got a chair and posted himself outside her bedroom, wary of any signs of her waking. They would not be so easily fooled again by the likes of Vicki Donovan.

"Harper, you can go to bed. None of this is your fault," Pearl said with sympathy. "I am the one who taught her herb craft. I thought the tea tasted strange, but I thought it was because she did not know what she was doing."
Pearl had several exotic blends of tea that she enjoyed. There were many new flavors and many of them tasted odd to her. She had thought nothing of the tea until it was too late. By the time, Pearl and Harper had awakened and roused Nadia, the damage was done.

Annabelle was seated in the parlor, being watched over by an angry Nadia and a bewildered Katherine.

"I can't believe she got the jump on you," Katherine smirked to her daughter. "I really need to teach you some fighting skills, my girl."

"This isn't funny, Mother!" Nadia chided, rubbing her neck. It was healed, but she felt a residual pain of the snapped neck. She cast a wry glance at Annabelle.

Annabelle hugged her knees.
"I'm so sorry, Nadia. Vicki moved so quickly, I-I didn't know what to do," Annabelle whined.

Katherine poured herself a drink, from the stash of Damon's good bourbon that she had found hidden in a floor board.

"First of all, you get a freaking backbone!" Katherine snarked. "She's a new vampire, how strong can she be? Second of all, you also need to get your act together. If Vicki killed the sheriff's daughter, how does that make us look? As of now, we might be on our way out of town. I just got a job at the mayor's office, now because of your stupidity, we might be out on our asses or worse!"

Annabelle cried into her knees, not looking up.

"Mother, stop! She's in enough trouble," Nadia snapped. "Don't make it worse."
Katherine's eyes grew wide. "Worse? If my boyfriend wasn't the mayor, they would come at us with pitchforks and torches! Hell, for all we know, they are getting ready to lock us in another cave. All of us, so get your head out of your ass and start thinking!"

Nadia sunk deeper into the recliner she was sitting in.

"You are right. We might have to leave, isn't that what you wanted all along?" Nadia asked, staring at the fire burning in the massive fireplace.

Katherine downed her drink.

"What? Leave? Who said anything about leaving? I never said that," Katherine cringed.

"You may not have said it in words, but it is clear that you are bored here. With me," Nadia said hollowly.

"Daughter, stop this nonsense. This was my home once and can be again. Like I said, Mason has some pull now, he can help protect us from the town monsters. I won't let them chase me away again. Not if my name is Katherine Pierce!" Katherine said, throwing her glass into the fire, causing a burst of flames that cause Annabelle to jerk her head up.

"Really? You will stay? Even with all this fuss?" Nadia said, tearing her eyes from the fire and meeting Katherine's stare.

"Yes, of course," Katherine said firmly. "If they come for us, we'll kill them. All of them this time."
Before Nadia could reply to that wild threat, Pearl descended the stairs.

"Victoria is still sleeping. Harper is guarding the door," Pearl said tightly, smoothing down her skirts.

"I seem to recall that there is a cozy cell in the basement with her name on it," Katherine said hotly.

"No, not more of that. If we treat Victoria like an animal, that is how she will behave. She must learn that it is in her best interest to behave properly," Pearl replied, sitting down next to a cowering Annabelle.

"M-Mother, I-I...," Annabelle stammered.

"Annabelle, you have already explained what happened," Pearl started. "I understand that Victorian had already drugged us and snapped Nadia's neck before you arrived, but I cannot understand why you ran off with her."

Annabelle whimpered, "I don't know."

"Sit up straight," Pearl demanded.

Annabelle sat up and wiped her palms on her pant legs. Vampires rarely sweated, but Annabelle felt clammy and panicked.

"I-I, um, ah," Annabelle blubbered, on the verge of tears.

Nadia stood up, her face growing fierce.

"I think I know," Nadia announced.

"No, Nadia, don't!" Annabelle begged.

Pearl and Katherine looked at both girls in surprise. What were their daughters hiding.

"It was Jeremy Gilbert, wasn't it? You hoped he would be at this party," Nadia accused, her slavic accent growing stronger in her irritation.
"What? Annabelle said she is not courting that Gilbert boy!" Pearl shot back. "Is that not what you assured me several times?"
Annabelle's lower lip trembled and tears spilled down her checks.

"Y-Yes, I d-did," Annabelle said.

"She visited him at his home while I was at the grocery store!" Nadia revealed. "I'm sorry. I didn't not think it was harmful, but I see I gave Annabelle too much credit. She is in love with the boy!"

Pearl sucked in her breath. "A Gilbert? After what his ancestor did to us? How dare you? And you lied to my face!"

Katherine chuckled. "And you lied to Pearl also, Nadia. Guess Annabelle is the only one getting her ass toasted tonight! Right, Pearl?"
Pearl's face turned stony.

"I want you to tell me what is going on," Pearl said with steel in her voice. "Right now."

Annabelle sobbed, "Nadia is right. I've been seeing Jeremy. I l-like him. He's kind and artistic and..."
Annabelle buried her face in her hands and wept.

Pearl stood up stiffly.

"I am retiring for the night. I cannot look upon the two of you. Look at what your deception wrought! A young woman has been turned and now has to suffer with her mortality wrung from her," Pearl hissed. "I am too angry. You deal with them, Katherine!"
Katherine's smile died on her lips.

"What? Me? No, Pearl, you are the one with a firm hand. I'll just watch," Katherine gushed.

Pearl glared at her. "Be a mother. It's not a jest, Katherine. Being a parent requires real work. Do it or I will deal with you instead. Good night."

Pearl watched out of the room without a glance at any of them, holding her head high.

The room was silent for a moment aside from the cracking of the fire and Annabelle's wracked sobs.

Katherine sighed, "Dammit, I need my beauty rest, but you heard Pearl. Get the wooden spoon, Nadia!"

"Mother, you cannot be thinking you are going to spank me!" Nadia shouted. "I am a grown woman!"

Katherine crackled, "So am I, but that didn't stop Pearl from blistering my butt. Get the spoon or I can spank you now and then again after you get the spoon."

Nadia walked to Katherine and grabbed her hand.

"No, please. I shouldn't have deceived Pearl, but I thought I was helping Annabelle," Nadia wailed. Katherine clamped down on Nadia's hand with an iron grip and turned her and swatted her backside hard with her hand.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

"Never cross Miss Pearl. And get the vervain, if I do this, it's going to be a good one. Now, move your butt, missy," Katherine ordered, spanking Nadia several more times.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

"Ow, you just smacked me!" Nadia gulped, trying to wrench free.

"There is a first time for everything. Be glad I am not going to fetch a willow stick to use on you like I got. Now, march," Katherine said, with a last fierce crack.

Slap!

"Ohhhhh, okay," Nadia moaned, rubbing the seat of her tight jeans and scowling at both Katherine and Annabelle.

"Now, you stop that crying, Annabelle. I'm going to give you something to cry about," Katherine warned. "Get over here now."

Katherine pulled out a heavy armless chair that had been around the chess table. She smoothed down her silky blouse and shook out her hand slightly.

"I can do this," Katherine said to herself. Annabelle was still crying to herself. "Annabelle! Did you hear me? Over here. Your mother will forgive you in the morning once she sees your shiny, red heiny. I promise."

Annabelle finally stopped and looked up.

"You think so?" Annabelle inquired, sniffling.

"I do. Look, I'm sorry I was so hard on you. Every vampire's personality comes through when they turn. It's clear that Vicki was a master of manipulation. She outsmarted you and Nadia. It happens, but you still need to be punished. It's either your behind or mine and I don't want to piss off Pearl again. Over here now," Katherine repeated.

Annabelle got up and trudged over to the chair, she looked at the hot fire, debating on whether she could muster the strength to pitch herself into it and end it all.

"Stop. Things will be better in the morning. We'll deal with the sheriff and the repercussions. Truly, it was all Vicki. She was one of them, a townie. They aren't going to hurt her, she has ties her," Katherine soothed, getting up to pull Annabelle to her. "Now, bend yourself over my lap. I'm sure you know how this works. Pants down."

Annabelle let out another sob, but obeyed. She undid her jeans and pulled them to her knees. Katherine rolled her eyes at the girl's white cotton underpants. God, she had to take this girl out shopping without Pearl.
"I-I do," Annabelle replied miserably, leaning over Katherine's slender thighs. She let Katherine shift her until her covered behind rested over Katherine's right thigh.

Crack! Crack!

Katherine, unsure of what she was doing, starting spanking as hard as she could. Annabelle shrieked and almost jerked off Katherine's lap as her feet, encased in her jeans, raised off the floor. Katherine pulled her in tighter with her left hand, as Nadia returned with a large wooden spoon and a vial of liquid vervain.

"You can wipe that petulant look off your face," Katherine reprimanded her daughter. "Give me the spoon and vervain. Then, lose your pants and go stand in the corner."

Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!

Nadia flinched as she saw Katherine deliver a round of hand spanks to Annabelle's pantied rump. She took off her own jeans and went to stand by the large windows by the chess board, where the chair had been.

Katherine ordered Annabelle up as she grabbed an empty glass, one that she hadn't shattered. She dumped the vervain in the glass and then put the head of the spoon in to coat it in the potent liquid, careful not to splash herself.

Annabelle was crying again and massaging her behind.

"I'll let that dry a minute," Katherine muttered as she grabbed Annabelle's panties and jerked them down. "Just take off your pants. You won't need them."
Annabelle awkwardly stepped out of her pants and cried louder as she was maneuvered back over Katherine's lap. She felt Katherine patting her bottom as the vampire quipped, "This is a good workout. Now, you stay over my lap and take your spanking like a good girl. And keep those feet down."

Annabelle could see her feet from the other side of the chair as her tears dripped down on the Persian carpet. She could feel the heat from the fire, but it wasn't as hot as the warmth starting in her bottom.

"Please, don't," Annabelle begged as she felt Katherine lean and heard the clink of the spoon.

"I think that's good," Katherine determined, giving Annabelle two swats on her right cheek with the large wooden spoon.

Whap! Whap!

"Owwwwww," Annabelle moaned as she felt the sharper pain on her bare bottom.

Whap! Whap! Katherine next whacked her left check.

"Pleaseeeee," Annabelle wailed, as the spoon began to paddle her rear end relentlessly. Katherine was spanking harder and faster than Pearl did, but skipping the pauses for a lecture. Annabelle was crying too hard to speak anyway.

Whap. Whap. Whap. Whap.

Whap. Whap. Whap. Whap.

Annabelle's legs kicked and rose up to try to stop the spanks. Katherine just cracked her lower and gave her a few whacks on her upper thighs until the feet came down.

"Behave yourself," Katherine warned.

Whap. Whap. Whap. Whap.

Whap. Whap. Whap. Whap.

Katherine stopped to catch her breath. Annabelle's bottom was a bright red, but she still had some spots to tend to.

Whap. Whap. Whap. Whap.

Whap. Whap. Whap. Whap.

Whap. Whap. Whap. Whap.

Whap. Whap. Whap. Whap.

Katherine let Annabelle lay limply a moment and then heaved her up. It had only been a minute or two of spanking, but Katherine wasn't sure Annabelle could take more. She had been swatting hard.

"There, now change places with Nadia. Hands on your hand or I'll paddle you again," Katherine chirped. She was feeling invigorated.

Annabelle hopped up, but Katherine catch her hands.

"Do not touch your bum. Hands on your head. And blow your nose," Katherine ordered, not unkindly. She turned Annabelle and admired her apple red colored behind. "That's good."

"Ahhhhh," Annabelle wailed as she stumbled to the corner, her t-shirt leaving her lower cheeks exposed. Slap!

"Hurry, girl," Katherine grunted. "I don't have all night. Nadia, over here."

Nadia turned and saw Annabelle approaching the dreaded corner.

"Oh Annabelle," Nadia sniffed, watching the dejected girl try to blow her nose while hopping side to side. She ached to hug her but Katherine snapped, "That's another minute if you don't get your butt over her pronto!"
Nadia vamped to her mother, who peeled down her black bikini panties.

"You won't be needing those," Katherine chirped.

"Mother!" Nadia protested.

"Stop complaining. You outted the girl and now are getting your consequences. I mean, I hope it was worth it," Katherine snarked.

"It wasn't," Nadia moaned, placing her thin frame over Katherine's knees. She gasped as she felt the tap of the wooden spoon. The vervain burned and soon felt a gust as the spoon slammed down.

Snap!

"OH!" Nadia yelped. "Oh, that hurt!"

"You wanted me to be a mother, this is what my mother did when I was a little shit," Katherine informed her daughter. Swat! Swat!

Nadia kicked her toes into the carpet as Katherine steadily swatted every area of her lower bottom. Katherine realized that with this one, she needed to go slower and steadier.

Whap. Whap. Whap. Whap.

"Oh, oh, oh," Nadia blathered as the spoon cracked down.

"You got bested by a teenager, that will never happen again," Katherine lectured as she spanked.

"Oh, okay. Oh! Awwwww," Nadia shrieked as the spoon did it worst after a minute of whacks.

"You will learn to defend yourself and stand up for yourself against these kids. Do you understand?" Katherine asked sharply.

Whap. Whap. Whap. Whap.

Whap. Whap. Whap. Whap.

"Yes! I u-understand. N-Now, stopppppp," Nadia begged.

Whap. Whap. Whap. Whap.

Whap. Whap. Whap. Whap.

Katherine hummed, as she lightly swatted the spoon down on Nadia's now pink rear. "Good. Now, let's have a talk. From now on, you aren't to interfere with Pearl and Annabelle. That's not our business. Got it?"
Crack!

"OHHHHHHH, y-yes!" Nadia wailed, pounding the floor with her right fist.

Crack!

"And you will start to learn how to defend yourself. For a vampire your age to be overcome, well, it's embarrassing. We start training you like tomorrow. Understand?" Katherine questioned with a sharp pop to each of Nadia's cheeks.

Crack! Crack!

"Y-Yes!" Nadia howled, wiggling her bottom frantically.

"And I will not leave you again. Ever. I love you," Katherine said, giving her two more hard swats.

Nadia broke into loud sobs and cried, "Yessssss. You m-mean i-it?"

Crack! Crack! Crack!

"Yes, now, give me a hug. We're done here," Katherine said, feeling tears come to her own eyes. She tossed the wooden spoon into the fire and stood her daughter up, standing at the girl crumbled in her arms.

"I-I love you so m-much," Nadia wailed, as Katherine embraced her.

Katherine's eyes grew misty and she half-carried Nadia over to Annabelle.

"Annabelle, get over here," Katherine said, letting Nadia go. Katherine wrapped the slight girl in her arms.

She smacked both girls on the bottom as she sent them to bed.

Slap. Slap.

"Now, go to bed. And Annabelle, I'm burning your granny panties. I'll speak to your mother and see if I can take you shopping for some normal clothes. You'll never get lucky in those things," Katherine announced.

"B-But you s-said not to interfere," Nadia corrected.

"I said you don't interfere. Leave Pearl to me," Katherine said with confidence. "And you two make up, we have enough problems around her without being at each other's throats. Shit happens, we'll deal."

Nadia put an arm around Annabelle as they headed to their respective bedrooms. She let her hand snake back to her hot backside but pulled it away as she felt the sting of the vervain.

Annabelle leaned her head on Nadia, whispering, "We got lucky. My mom spanks a lot harder than that..."

"I heard that!" Katherine called up. "And I'm sure I'll get more practice. Good night, ladies."

Nadia groaned, but looked back at her mother with love. Her bottom stung but she felt comforted, Katherine wasn't going to leave her. Now, how they would get past Harper without him seeing their red behinds was another challenge.

Mikaelson Mansion

Kitchen

"So they never wanted Ava, it was all a ploy?" Klaus remarked, as he switched from tea to blood.

"Don't act as you weren't eavesdropping," Elijah snapped, drumming his manicured fingers on the kitchen island.

Klaus grinned, "It was a lovely reunion. Aya is quite a beautiful woman and very commanding."

"She said that Lucian and Tristan want to jail us for eternity and you find that amusing?" Elijah questioned.

"Well, no," Klaus said.

Damon interjected, "You should have let me capture one of them at least."

Finn put a hand on Damon's shoulder.

"Nephew, you will in the midst of a spell. It seems they could have harmed us if they wished. We need to know what sort of magic they are conducting to get through our defenses like they did," Finn scoffed.

Rebekah frowned, "Like cutting through butter with a hot knife. And Aurora? Is she involved in this? She is another deceptive little vixen. Nik, you had a thing for her? Maybe she just wants you for herself? Or to get away from Tristan?"

Klaus put down his blood.

"She made her decision. If I saw her, I would look the other way. She means nothing to me, nor her demented brother. Lucien, on the other hand, I will teach him to respect his sire. One of these days," Klaus fumed.

"Aya concluded that I need make nice with Tristan and his ilk to buy us some time. There is a Strix gathering in New Orleans-," Elijah begun.

"No, Elijah, you can't mean to go. Tis not safe, who knows what their master plan is!" Klaus argued.

Elijah sighed, "I can handle Tristan."
"Clearly not," Rebekah sniffed, taking a delicate sip of her tea. "I need wine, I think."
"Me, too," Lucy added.

Elijah shrugged, "Well, it is the weekend. One bottle."

Rebekah smirked and kissed Elijah on the cheek.

"Just one?"

"Sister, don't test me," Elijah said, smiling at the beautiful blonde.

Lucy asked, "I think they must have a siphon of their own. I don't see how else they could have removed those boundary spells."
Elijah now tapped a finger on his chin.

"Aya said something about Lucien developing the white oak in a lab. The little freak always did have a proclivity for science. I remember him growing mold other odd things in the stables back in France. The other grooms thought he was mad," Elijah mused.

"He was. They are were, but perhaps we made them so," Klaus added.

"You mean I did when I compelled them to believe they were us," Elijah said heavily. "Maybe it is true. My sins are coming back to haunt us."

Klaus downed down at his blood.
"Nay, you saved our lives, Elijah. And everything with the Strix, that couldn't be helped," Klaus conceded. "It's late. Let's go to bed."
"Wait, what about Elena?" Damon said suddenly.

"Oh," Elijah said, he had almost forgotten about that. "If they are determined to go to that lake retreat, someone needs to go with them."

"Bonnie will be there," Lucy said slowly. "But I can go also. Ric already invited me."

"I'll go," Damon volunteered.

"Me, too," Enzo said, as he started to collect the tea cups.

Klaus eyed his son. "I don't know. What if they try something there?"

"I don't think they would," Elijah said. "Let me speak to Ric. It might be good for the young people to get away."
"I'm not so young," Damon grumbled. "But I won't let anything happen to Elena."

Ric came into the kitchen.

"Hey all. Good news! Caroline is awake," Ric announced with a relieved smile.

"Oh great. Another vampire in town," Rebekah said, lifting her wine glass and clinking it to Lucy's. "I wonder if I can be the captain of the cheer squad now?"

"Rebekah," Elijah chided. "Enough wine."

"Oh, you're no fun," Rebekah pouted.

Damon went to Klaus, as the rest of the family streamed out. "Come on, let us go. I need time to clear my head. You know, I felt nothing at the full moon tonight. Is that weird?"

Klaus bit his lip. "Aye, it is peculiar. Even now, I can feel the pull of the moon tugging at me. Okay, you go, but promise me you will be careful and obey Ric."

"Yeah, of course," Damon said, winking at Enzo. "It will be like old times."
"That's what I'm afraid of," Klaus said wryly.
