Note: I have been very busy and am still not taking requests at this time. Thanks to all readers who have stuck with this story. I also had a bit of a writer's block, but I hope that is over now. There is nothing worse than staring at a blank page!

Salvatore Boarding House
Vicki slipped into Annabelle's room quietly, the salve hidden in her pocket.
"Hey," Annabelle hissed, as she jerked to look behind her, the movement exacerbating the pain in her rump.
"Sorry, it's just me. I thought I would bring you a little something," Vicki said with a grin. She produced the vial of salve. "I made it myself. Your mom is actually a really good teacher."
"Yeah, thanks," Annabelle said weakly, trying to grab the covers to pull over her behind.
"Ouch! Whoa, she really did beat your butt with that old stick," Vicki lamented. Pearl had threatened her with the cane when had tried to skip out on some chores, but Vicki thought it was a bluff. She now saw that Pearl wasn't bluffing. Annabelle's bottom was red and there were scarlet weals where the cane had landed.
"It's not the first time Mother took a cane to me...I wish Katherine hadn't burned that spoon! I think I'm healing a little, but the salve will help. Thank you," Annabelle mumbled. "I think I can do it."
"Nah, it's okay. We're both girls," Vicki said. She put on the gloves and gently started to work in the thick salve carefully.
Annabelle hissed, but then relaxed. "Oh, yeah, that's good. Right there. She really got that side..."
"I think she got both equally," Vicki muttered. "I'm gonna remember this the next time I bitch about ironing all that shit. I never heard of ironing like sheets and jeans. We were lucky if our clothes got washed with my mom."
Annabelle grunted again. "Oh, wow. It's working. Um, where is your mom? Have you heard from her?"
Vicki tried not to pause, but dropped the vial on the bed cover.
"Shit, sorry," Vicki cursed, picking it up. The gloves were slippery now. "Matty tried to call her. I hate to say it but this isn't the longest we haven't heard from her. Once, she met a long haul trucker and was gone for like six months."
"Six months? Oh my, how old were you?" Annabelle gasped. She couldn't imagine Pearl ever doing that. Aside from the Johnathan Gilbert, Pearl hadn't ever even expressed interest in a man. And that had ended so badly.
"Fourteen maybe?" Vicki said. "But Matt really stepped up. He's the one who arranged for extensions on the rent and started doing odd jobs. I think Tyler also gave him money. I know those two morons got you into this mess with your mom, but overall, they are good guys. They shouldn't have let you take the fall. There, I think that is good."
"No, they offered to step up. Really, they did. I told them it was over and done with. I also heard they would get kicked off the baseball team," Annabelle protested, turning to look at Vicki, who was taking off the gloves. "Vicki, I'm not like you. I don't always know what to say to people and...I've never been good at making friends."
Annabelle was on her side now. Her backside felt a lot better and the throbbing had ebbed.
Vicki smiled, "Honestly, Annabelle, I don't even know who I really am. Yeah, I might have been fun and all that, but I was always wasted on boozer or pills or worse. I never even knew what I was interested in...I guess we are both kinda starting over, huh? Maybe we can help each other? Have you thought about going back to school?"
"To MFHS? Oh, I d-don't know," Vicki stammered. "I kinda like it here at home. I didn't do so good at school. You know, I would go a little bit and then get bored and skip out to get high...And what if I go back and those same kids are expecting me to be the same old Vicki? I'm afraid I would snap and end up eating them! Your mom and Nadia are showing me a bunch of stuff. Like I never thought I'd like plants, but I do. It's almost magical watching them grow from those seeds, you know?"
"I suppose I always took knowing things for granted. Mother always insisted on me learning to do things the right way," Annabelle admitted. "And Mother. I always took her for granted and then when she wasn't around all I could think of was getting her back. Now, I think about Jeremy, but things have gotten weird."
"Jeremy Gilbert was always kinda weird, honestly. Cute in a goofy way, but I guess he is growing up. I just don't get all the art stuff," Vicki giggled. "You know, there are other guys in this town. I mean, have you considered that?"
Annabelle smiled, "Not really. But I really love Jeremy. A lot. Hey, you better go. I'm supposed to be 'napping.'"
"Oh right, I better go finish 'cleaning,'" Vicki winked. "Harper actually helped me clean up earlier which gave me time to fool around with this salve. Any better?"
Annabelle nodded, "Much. Thanks so much. You really have a knack for the herbs! I just hope neither one of us needs it again anytime soon."
"Yeah, me too, but we will. I'll make some more when I have the chance," Vicki noted. "Hey, this is cool. I never had like a sister before."
"Yeah, it's nice," Annabelle agreed, smiling softly. Her siblings had all died so long ago, she didn't remember their faces. But Vicki would hopefully be around a long time.
Mystic Falls High School
Afternoon
Kol tried to slick back his hair as he got out of the car. It was almost dismissal and he had to get to Stefan's car before anyone spotted him.
"Remember, what happened at the quarry, stays at the quarry," Damon called out. "Just like Vegas."
"Vegas?" Kol muttered, not getting the reference. "Yeah, whatever."
Kol still didn't know a great deal of the modern world. In times past when Nik had daggered him for a few decades, he'd awaken and have to get new clothes made and learn a few new words. Maybe there would be a new type of transportation or dance, but this...It was like being plunged into a new planet. But he didn't want to go back, the miniskirts and tight slacks the ladies wore were too good to miss. Would Nik put him back in the box again for skipping out of school? He didn't want to find out, Kol realized as he wove through the parking lot towards the red sports car.
To Kol's surprise, Aaron was already leaning against the car.
"Stefan will pummel you if you smudge his ride," Kol warned. "He just waxed the bloody thing again last night!"
"He won't pummel me," Aaron snarked. "Why are you out here so early?"
"I could ask you the same question," Kol retorted, tossing his backpack down on the pavement.
"Ah, I skipped out of last period early," Aaron mumbled. "You? And don't lie, I saw Damon drop you off."
"Shite," Kol cursed. He only had a $100 bill to bribe Rebekah, he didn't have enough pay off Aaron also. "You aren't gonna tell on me, are you?"
Aaron looked surprised. "No, of course not. Why would I? I'd only be getting myself in trouble. Plus, I'm not like that."
"Good," Kol replied in relief. "Look, the truth is that I'm not used to going to school like this every damn day. I never even had a job before. I used to spend my days amusing myself when I could escape Elijah's long list of chores. Now, I sit in classrooms half the time not knowing what is going on. And I can't really ask anyone, you know?"
"I think everyone just thinks you and Rebekah are from Europe," Aaron answered. "I think that is what she told everyone."
"Aye," Kol said, noticing that Aaron was chewing on his pinkie nail. "You nervous about something?"
Aaron glanced down, unsure of whether or not he could trust Kol.
"I guess," Aaron said. "But it's probably nothing."
Kol frowned, "It is alright, bloke. You can tell me. I won't run to Finn and Sage and get ya in trouble."
Aaron blushed, hoping Kol didn't know that they were clamping down on his behavior. Even in the huge mansion, privacy was hard to come by.
"It's not that," Aaron said. "But last night, I was in my room and I heard Hayley, the horse lady, talking outside on the porch. I guess she was on the phone."
"Oh yeah? She's quite a looker for a werewolf," Kol quipped.
"I don't think she's a werewolf!" Aaron laughed.
"Oh, she is. I can smell it on her," Kol confirmed. "But what was she saying."
"It wasn't what she was saying, but it sounded like she was arguing with someone. And...," Aaron started, but stopped as the bell rung and students started pouring out of the school.
"Go on," Kol encouraged.
"I saw her coming out of Elijah's office late at night," Aaron grumbled. "I couldn't sleep and was going to watch t.v. in the living room. It was late, like 2am."
"Oh, I see. You were supposed to be sleeping, eh? Did she see you?" Kol prodded, now scratching the stubble on his chin.
"Nah, man. I freaked and hid in the bathroom," Aaron whispered. "She was totally up to no good, but if I tell..."
"Yeah, you'll get a thwacking for being up after hours," Kol finished. "Let me think of what to do. Don't worry, mate, you did the right thing telling me."
Rebekah sauntered up to the car. "Oh Kol, how'd you do on that math test?"
"Shut it, Bekah," Kol hissed, he fished out the hundred and slipped it into her hand. "For your silence and discretion. And I thought you had cheerleading."
"Hmm," Rebekah purred, slipping the bill into her purse. "Getting cheap. These were 1910 prices. You can give me the rest later. Coach got sick and practice was cancelled. I'm glad after the crappy morning we had. Shotgun!"
Stefan rolled his eyes at the childish antics and unlocked the car doors.
"Watch the car, people. Just waxed her," Stefan announced, relieved to finally have his car back after his speeding incident. Stefan took out a handkerchief and polished away a smudge before getting in.
"See, told ya," Kol smirked at Aaron.
Aaron shrugged and put in ear buds. He realized that vampires were just as annoying as regular humans, but he was glad that Kol had listened to his story. It had been nagging at him all day.
Mikaelson Mansion
Kol got a bottle of blood and went to find Elijah. He was with the children at the stables and Hayley was showing them how to brush Azul. The blue roan was majestic and snorted as Kol entered.
"Easy, there," Hayley said.
The kids ran to Kol, excited. The dogs were lounging in the shade of the newly built stables.
"Daddy said we can get our own ponies!" Julian announced proudly.
"Whoa, that tis good news," Kol said, scooping him up. "You must have tired out the dogs. Did you play a lot today?"
"Oh yeah, did you have fun at school?" Julian asked. The girls waited for Kol to pick them up and spin them.
"Loads of fun," Kol grinned, thinking of how Damon tossed him into the quarry.
"Your hair is funny," Ava chuckled, pulling on it.
"Owwww, I'm lucky I made it to school with all the alarms off" Kol faked, putting her down and grabbing his head. "You are too strong, my lady!"
"We ran with the pups all the way to the lake. I won!" Indy boasted.
Kol tickled her and she screeched, causing Azul to stamp and heave.
"Whoa, we are disturbing Azul, but well-down, miss!" Kol said.
Elijah glanced over, breaking off his low conversation with Hayley.
"Kol, why don't you take them inside? It's quite warm out. They could use a cold drink," Elijah coaxed.
"Actually, I wished to speak to you if you have a moment," Kol said evenly. "Outside."
Elijah paused, "Sure. Kids, head on in and give Hayley and Azul a break. You can come back with some apples with Damon later. Go on."
The kids ran off and the dogs got up slowly, following.
"Excuse me, Hayley," Elijah said with a smile.
"Of course," Hayley said, wrinkling her nose.
Kol felt a flash of fear, wondering if wolves could smell better than vampires. His clothes had dried, but who knew what was in that quarry?
Elijah brushed off his trousers and followed Kol back out into the bright sunlight.
"What a beauty!" Kol added.
"Well, yes, for what Niklaus paid-," Elijah started.
"Nay, I meant the lady," Kol corrected.
Elijah guffawed, "Oh yes, Hayley is a beautiful girl. Now, what did you want to speak about? Did something happen at school?"
Kol stiffened, but continued to walk towards the mansion.
"No, it's not about that," Kol began. "But what do we know about Hayley, aside from her being a wolf?"
Elijah paused, looking back toward the stables.
"We had her vetted by our security people, of course. She was orphaned as a baby and attended a boarding school. That's where she learned about horses," Elijah stated. "What is this about, Kol?"
"Um, if I speak of this, you must promise that Aaron won't get into any trouble. The lad was reluctant to speak of it," Kol said.
"Speak of what?" Elijah pressed, now getting concerned.
"It tis probably nothing, but Aaron saw her coming out of your office quite late at night," Kol shared.
"Oh, that. She told me that she used my office phone to make a call," Elijah said, waving his hand.
"At 2am?" Kol argued.
"I don't know the time. Is there anything else?" Elijah asked with an air of impatience.
"Ah, Aaron heard her on the phone arguing with someone-," Kol said, realizing he sounded paranoid.
"So? It could be an old boyfriend or-," Elijah proposed. "That is hardly evidence of wrongdoing. Is there anything else?"
"No, but-," Kol cut off, seeing Klaus stomping into the yard.
"KOL MIKAElSON, get over here!" Klaus yelled, approaching them swiftly. "I just got an email confirming that you had an appointment today?"
Elijah grabbed Kol's arm.
"Kol, we didn't excuse you from school today! Where were you?" Elijah demanded.
Klaus folded his arms across his chest.
"Aye, that's what I'd like to know," Klaus said, holding out his phone.
"Ah, I had a test and I didn't bloody know what I was doing and I bunked off into the woods to study," Kol lied.
Klaus roared, "The bloody secretary saw you getting into a, and I quote 'a fancy blue car!'"
Kol's face fell. "Fuck me."
Elijah's right hand cracked down across Kol's slack.
"OH!" Kol said, his hands jerking back.
Klaus shouted, his eyes flashing yellow a moment in his anger, "You can forget about that dance this Friday. You are grounded, young man!"
"No! I can't. I promised to go and look after Elena," Kol moaned. "Please, anything else. I promised Damon I would protect her...and I was gonna ask Bonnie to the dance. Please, Brothers! I'm really sorry."
Klaus and Elijah exchanged a look. Kol was on the verge of tears. It had been a long time since Kol had wanted to do something wholesome. Klaus softened and Elijah gave him a slight nod.
"Niklaus, he made a mistake. Punish him, but he has a point that he may be needed at the dance. Elena will be especially vulnerable there," Elijah stated.
"Fine. We shall allow you to attend, but you best cooperate. Now, march up to my room and join Damon and Enzo," Klaus snapped. "You will be getting another hiding for lying. You can attend the dance with a sore backside. Maybe that will keep you honest, though I doubt it."
Kol turned to Elijah, "Thank you. I'll tell you everything."
"Yes, you will but after you have been punished. Now go do as you were told. Now!" Elijah said, pointing at the house.
Klaus and Elijah watched Kol stomp into the house.
Elijah remarked, "That was clever, little brother. The secretary was a nice touch."
"Aye, well, we can't let them know we have a security detail watching their every move. What was he speaking to you about?" Klaus asked, taking a breath.
Elijah paused, "Nothing of import. Now, are you calm enough to deal with them or shall I?"
"Just give me a few minutes," Klaus stated. "I'll be fine. I am glad the security people are on top of things. We can't be too careful this week."
"Yes, for what we are paying them for their discretion, they ought to be on top of things," Elijah said. "Any word from Dorian or Emma?"
"No, I'll call them tonight. We need you to have that charter on you when you depart for the Strix ball," Klaus commented. "The security people said that Tristan is quite the jet setter these days. They haven't been able to pinpoint Lucien's whereabouts. He is a slippery little snake."
"They will find him," Elijah said with confidence. "He isn't half as clever as he thinks he is. I should see to the children."
"Aye, me as well," Klaus groaned. "For just once, I wish they wouldn't lie so easily."
"It's a terrible habit," Elijah said, with a wave of guilt. He knew he should share Kol's concerns with Klaus, but his younger brother was prone to paranoia. If he said something, Hayley could be out the door within an hour. No, he'd speak to her later. For some reason, Elijah trusted her completely.
Klaus' Quarters
"Fuck. Fuck," Damon said, kicking the wall.
"Stop it," Enzo hissed. "You bust that wall and we're all going to get it worse!"
"Oh, our arses are cooked," Kol moaned. "How the hell did this happen? Kids get excused from school all the time!"
"I don't know. You said that secretary saw us?" Damon pressed.
"That's what Nik said," Kol fumed. "But I didn't see anyone, did you?"
"No," Damon admitted. "But I guess I wasn't really worried about it at the time."
Klaus burst in. "I saw to face the wall and think, not get your stories straight. And why are your trousers still up?"
Damon turned to say sorry and saw the ping pong paddle in Klaus' hand.
"No! Come on, Dad, that's for little kids," Damon lamented.
"You behave as a child and I will treat you like one," Klaus answered tightly. "Now, lose your britches and your drawers! You shalln't need them."
Enzo fumbled out of his trousers and underpants and the other two followed slowly.
Klaus picked them up to throw them in the hamper.
"Lorenzo, why are your pants damp?" Klaus questioned.
"Ah, we went in the q-quarry. Swimming like," Enzo stammered.
"But I thought you couldn't swim?" Klaus said.
"I can't, but Damon threw us in," Enzo said as Damon started to chuckle. A sharp glare from Klaus cut him off.
"My magic is getting stronger," Damon conceded.
"Well, let's see if your magic can protect your naughty bum from this paddle. I just treated it to a fresh coating of vervain. Your brother, Stefan, was kind enough to get us a good amount from the boarding house," Klaus snarked.
"I'll have to thank him later," Damon growled. "With my fist."
Klaus vamped to him and swatted his now bared behind with a flurry of cracks.
Pop! Pop! Pop!
"You shall do no such thing," Klaus fired back.
Damon hopped and tried to twist away as he whined, "I was j-just joking. Fuck!"
Pop! Pop! Pop!
"Not the time or place, I reckon," Enzo added.
"No, it is not," Klaus agreed. "Now, you will tell me all that transpired. And for future reference, anymore lying will only increase your punishments."
The boys all looked at each other and finally Damon, using his shirt tail to try to rub his bottom started.
"We didn't plan on having Kol skip, but I went to drop off Aaron's gym clothes and-"
Klaus interrupted sharply, "Shirts off. And hands on your hands. Look me in the eye when you speak to me, son. I have had it with the damned lying! That goes for all three of you."
Damon stripped off his t-shirt and tossed it in the hamper. He told Klaus all that had transpired.
After Damon finished, Klaus paced in front of the three, now nude, vampires.
"Thank you for that," Klaus started. "But I am disappointed in your behavior. If I can't trust you to run a simple errand, how can I trust you to obey on an important mission. I need to follow my gut here. Damon, you will not accompany me to New Orleans. You will stay here."
"No! It wasn't that big of a deal. Come on, you are overreacting!" Damon argued, his hands dropping from his head.
Klaus grabbed him and paddled his rear hard five times.
Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!
"AAAAHHHH," Damon squealed, shocked at the burn that the small paddle inflicted on his bottom.
"This impulsiveness needs checked!" Klaus said. "Now, you go face the corner and think about what I said. I am not in the mood for your cheek and insolence right now."
Damon found himself with tears running down his face, he wasn't sure if it was from the embarrassment or the disappoint. He went to the corner and didn't dare to try to rub out the sting.
"Kol, go to the other corner. Enzo, come over here. You shall be first," Klaus directed, pointing to the corner with the paddle.
"Whatever happened to 'age before beauty'?" Kol wondered.
"Kol, if you want to go to that damn dance, enough with your lip," Klaus warned.
"Sorry, Nik," Kol said, trudging to the corner. He really shouldn't goad the man with the paddle, he thought.
"Enzo, I realize you were along for the ride," Klaus started. "But this may delay your car until you can prove you can behave."
"I understand, Klaus," Enzo said sadly, his hands still on his head. Klaus sat down on the side of his bed.
"Klaus?" Klaus questioned.
"I mean, 'Dad?'" Enzo corrected quickly. "But can't I just lean over?"
"No, over my lap all the way," Klaus said, putting a pillow on his lap to raise Enzo's behind where he wanted it. "Bad little boys get spanked over my knees until they learn to behave properly."
"Yes, sir," Enzo said, his face heating in shame, as he climbed over Klaus' lap, his body fully on the bed. At least the other guys were facing the corners.
"Now, tell me why you about to meet the paddle?" Klaus asked, patting Enzo's seat with the rough dotted side of the ping pong paddle.
"Because we lied and said we were at the feed store, but we took Kol from school and got beer," Enzo gushed, just wanting this to be done with.
"Right. Now, grip that pillow and don't reach back," Klaus ordered, lifting the paddle up to his shoulder.
Whack!
Enzo jerked as his bottom felt the first crack. It hurt more than he anticipated.
Whack! Whack!
Klaus gave Enzo two more hard whacks and then developed into a rhythm of swatting the paddle down in the center of each cheek.
Enzo clutched the pillow and tried to stay still, but each smack burned. He realized that his new father was just warming up. Klaus lowered the paddle and gave Enzo five whacks on his right sit spot.
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
"Ohhhhhh, I'm s-soooorrrry," Enzo belted out, his feet lifting.
"Move your feet!" Klaus snapped. Enzo lowered them, but got another five cracks on his left sit spot.
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
Klaus then begun to whack the center of Enzo's rear firmly. Enzo broke down into ragged sobs, no longer about to hold it in.
Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!
Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!
Enzo drummed his feet into the bed, bouncing up at each swat.
"Settle down, son," Klaus warned, holding him down with his strong left hand.
Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!
Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!
Klaus stopped when Enzo's behind was cherry red and he stopped fussing.
"There. I shalln't go so hard on you. You are a good lad. Shhh," Klaus said, patting his back. In truth, it saddened Klaus to have to paddle Enzo at all. "Now, go take a bath in my tub and then you shall take a nap."
"O-Okay," Enzo sniffled. Klaus helped Enzo stand and wrapped his arms around him whispering, "All forgiven. I love you and it hurt me to have to spank you. But next time, try to talk some damn sense into the other two. Okay?"
Enzo smiled through his tears. Klaus gave him a light pat on the rear.
"Now, wash up. There's a clean robe on the hanger in there. I am not angry at you, you need to know that," Klaus comforted.
"Okay," Enzo said quietly. He wiped at his face and went to the bathroom, looking forward to plunging his behind in the cool water.
Klaus went behind Kol and led him to the bed.
"I want you to get that school work you missed. If you need help, we shall get it for you. Is that really why you ducked out?" Klaus asked.
"Nay, not really. I am sorry, brother," Kol said. "But Damon is right. His magic is getting more focused. He threw my arse into that quarry with ease. You should be proud."
"I am proud of all of you. I just don't like the underhanded behavior. You understand the stress we are under this week. Kol, we are at war. We can't have you boys wandering off in the midst of the day," Klaus chided gently as he positioned Kol over his lap.
"I know," Kol conceded. "But we didn't think about that at the time."
"Perhaps this shall help you remember," Klaus said, starting the paddling.
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
Unlike Enzo, Klaus swatted Kol harder and faster from the start. His brother had much more experience of being over his knee. Klaus knew Kol could take a hard thrashing and would hold back his emotions if he didn't really give it to him.
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
"Let it out, Kol," Klaus said, pausing to catch his breath. It wasn't until he heard the first sobs out of Kol after he popped the top of his thighs, that Klaus eased up.
"Good boy," Klaus said. "You made a mistake, but after this you will be forgiven."
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
"But you said I was getting another s-spanking!" Kol wailed, kicking and trying to squirm. Klaus clamped his arm and pulled his little brother in tighter.
"Aye, that was for the lying. I think a good refresher on Friday will do you good, though Finn may have to attend to that," Klaus amended, thinking that he would be gone, along with Elijah.
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
"Ouchhhhhh," Kol sobbed. "S-Stopppp, Nikkkk, please."
Klaus knew he was getting through to his stubborn brother. He lightened the smacks, but applied them faster. Kol couldn't take it and threw his hand back to slow the spanking.
"None of that," Klaus said, pinning his hand to his back.
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
Klaus gave him another minute of swats and then stopped. Enzo came out of the bathroom in Klaus' robe.
"There. Fine timing. Now, Kol, you take a bath and wash that quarry off you. You will sleep and then see to your homework," Klaus advised.
"Y-Yes, b-brother," Kol wept.
"I love you so much," Klaus said, helping him up. He held Kol's hands in front of him. "You know that, right?"
"I love you, too," Kol said with emotion, tears dripping down his face.
"Come here," Klaus said, getting up and hugging him. He kissed Kol on the top of the head and popped him on the rear with the paddle. "Now, I don't want to hear anymore fussing about what you have coming. You hear me?"
"Yes, Nik," Kol said, pulling away from the hug. "I'll go wash."
"I'll get him some clothes," Enzo offered, indicating Kol. Enzo winced as he saw Kol's flaming red backside head to the bathroom. It was worse than his.
"Thank you, Enzo," Klaus said. "Damon, it's your turn."
"I'm fine here," Damon snarked.
"Damon, come on," Klaus said, sitting back down on the bed.
Damon's hands were still planted firmly on his head. Klaus glanced over and saw that the pinkness from the earlier swats had healed, despite the vervain.
"Son, come now. Don't make me get you," Klaus pleaded.
Damon sighed loudly and stomped over, more angry than sorry. Klaus thought he saw a flash of yellow cross his eyes. Yes, Damon was enraged. He could feel it vibrating through him.
"I see your time in the corner didn't calm you any," Klaus noted. "Never mind, we shall take care of that now."
"It's not fair!" Damon argued, even stomping his right foot. "This is bad enough. Why do I have to get it again?"
"Because you did several offenses: taking Kol out of school, doing magic in public at the quarry, buying beer, pretending to be at the feed store, and then lying. I ought to spank you more than twice, come to think of it," Klaus mentioned.
"No, fine!" Damon said, scowling as he climbed over Klaus' lap. "This is stupid though."
"Yes, yes," Klaus agreed. "Give me your hands. I don't wish you to reach back."
"Jesus," Damon muttered, putting his hands behind his back so Klaus could grasp them.
To Damon's surprise, Klaus started spanking him with the palm of his hand.
"What are you doing?" Damon inquired.
"Spanking you," Klaus replied drying.
"Stop! Come on, Dad. This is freaking stupid," Damon tried.
It smarted, but Damon could take it.
Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!
"I think you need a good reminder to behave every night this week before I leave," Klaus noted, not liking the rebellion in his son. "You also sleep better with a hot bottom, don't you?"
Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!
"No, come on!" Damon ranted, trying to move his bottom away from the hard hand smacking it. It was started to feel hot and stingy, but with Klaus clasping his hands, Damon couldn't move.
Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!
"Yes, a sound spanking before bed," Klaus went on. "That will show you that your bad behavior has consequences."
Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!
"NO! Come on, this hurts. Stop already!" Damon demanded. He kicked up his feet.
Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!
"Ah, you want to play it like that? Time for your paddling, I suppose," Klaus said evenly.
"Wait! No! Please don't spank me with that thing. Your hand is bad enough!" Damon begged. "Let me up. I've had enough. I get it. Look, I'm sorry, okay!"
Klaus tapped Damon's pink rear with the rough side of the paddle.
"I think not," Klaus quipped.
POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP!
POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP!
Klaus gripped Damon's hands tighter and raised the paddle high, blasting it down on one cheek and then the other.
Damon's eyes popped open and he let out a loud hitched moan and then a sob. His behind was on fire. How could that little paddle hurt so much?
"AHhhhhh, waaaaaa, ughhhhhh," Damon bellowed, kicking his legs as much as he could.
POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP!
POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP!
Klaus paddled him soundly for another two minutes as Damon howled.
POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP!
POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP!
"Soorrrrrryyyyyy, Daddddyyy," Damon finally hissed out.
"What was that, my son?" Klaus said, pausing.
"I-I am s-sorrrry," Damon yelped. "Nooooo moreeeee, Daddy!"
"Oh, we're not done yet," Klaus quipped, now swatting the top of Damon's thighs and his sit spots causing Damon to thrash harder.
POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP!
POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP!
After a minute more of paddling, Klaus stopped.
Enzo came in with clothes for Kol and the two quickly left the room.
"There, now we can chat," Klaus said. He tossed the paddle aside and lifted his son to sit on his thigh. Damon shrieked and bounced up, but Klaus kept him in place.
"You got a hard spanking, but you aren't done yet. Now, tell me what's going on," Klaus said firmly.
Damon winced, but tried to speak.
"I s-screwed up," Damon started. "B-But I s-should b-be allowed to g-go with you. You n-need me."
Klaus bit his lip.
"I want you with me, it is true," Klaus said. "But I need for you to obey me. This is a dangerous mission. I can't have you out there doing your own thing because you think you know better."
"I-I won't. I l-learned my l-lesson," Damon sniffled. "Y-You are in c-charge. G-Give me another c-chance. Please!"
Klaus pulled Damon's head on his chest and let him cry.
"I will consider it, but I meant it when I said you are going over my knee before bed every night until I leave. I will not have anymore of this defiance from you. Do you understand? I lost one son and I cannot lose another. I love you, Damon," Klaus said, tears of his own appearing. He blinked them away. "But I will not fail in discipling you whether you like it or not. You need this, don't you?"
"Y-Yes, I guess..." Damon said softly, as Klaus held him. Klaus brushed back his son's dark hair and cuddled him for a long moment. He knew that Damon had needed this, but it didn't make it any easier. A part of Klaus still feared that Damon would run off and leave him forever. He needed to make sure that his son knew he was there for him.
"Okay, let's get you in the tub. You smell like a bog," Klaus teased.
"You d-don't have to give me a bath," Damon said, rubbing at his eyes.
"I don't have to," Klaus said. "But if you want to argue about it, I'll bring the paddle with me."
Klaus couldn't help but push back Damon's longer dark hair. He never had gotten a haircut and the longer locks just made Damon look even younger.
"No, I'm too sore!" Damon exclaimed. He went to touch his behind, but it was still throbbing madly.
"I think I'm going to keep this paddle close. Finn was right, it's pretty effective," Klaus noted, picking it up and patted Damon's glowing red rump with it as he walked to the bathroom.
