Long ago, the legendary dragon king, Onaga, was defeated and his body was turned into stone. For many years, his followers and allies searched for a way to awaken him and restore his power. One day, Reptile stumbled upon the ancient stone statue and felt a strange energy emanating from it.
As he approached the statue, Reptile's heart began to race. He knew that if he could awaken Onaga, the dragon king would make him his most trusted ally. Reptile reached out his hand and placed it on the cold stone surface. Suddenly, the stone began to crack and crumble as Onaga's eyes opened and he let out a mighty roar.
"I am Onaga, the Dragon King!" Onaga declared as he looked around at his surroundings.
Reptile bowed before him and pledged his allegiance to the great dragon king. But as they began to discuss their plans, they were interrupted by the arrival of Goro, the four-armed prince of Shokan.
"You may have awakened Onaga, but he belongs to me," Goro snarled, as he unsheathed his massive blades.
Unfazed, Onaga prepared to fight. "You dare challenge me, the Dragon King?"
Reptile, Baraka, and Kira stood by Onaga's side as he prepared to battle Goro. Their fight was intense and lasted for days, with both warriors taking and dealing out massive blows. However, in the end, it was Onaga who emerged victorious.
Goro's body lay broken and defeated on the ground as Onaga took his rightful place as the ruler of all realms.
"Your defeat signifies the end of the Shokan race," Onaga declared.
Reptile smiled to himself, knowing that he had made the right decision to awaken Onaga. He had become an integral part of the dragon king's army and had earned his respect and loyalty.
As they prepared to set out on their quest for ultimate domination, Reptile couldn't help but think, "There is nobody who can stand against us now. The world belongs to the mighty Dragon King Onaga, and those who stand in our way will surely fall."
Reptile set out on his mission to find the rare spices Onaga had ordered him to retrieve. He ventured deep into Outworld, coming across all sorts of dangerous creatures, but he was unfazed by all of it. His loyalty to Onaga kept him going, and he knew that failure was not an option.
As he journeyed further, he stumbled across Reiko, an infamous Outworld villain. Reiko had always been a thorn in Onaga's side, constantly trying to overthrow him and take the throne for himself.
Reptile knew he had to be careful around Reiko, but he also knew that he couldn't back down. He tried to pass by unnoticed, but Reiko spotted him and immediately attacked.
The fight was brutal, both combatants delivering crushing blows to each other. However, Reptile was no match for Reiko, and he found himself on the brink of defeat.
Just when it seemed that all was lost, Onaga arrived on the scene. Reiko tried to fight back, but against the might of the Dragon King, he was powerless. Onaga defeated Reiko and spared Reptile's life, saying that he needed him still.
From that moment on, Reptile was even more devoted to Onaga than before. He knew that the Dragon King was truly unstoppable, and his power knew no bounds. With Onaga at his side, he knew that he would be part of the greatest army ever assembled.
Together, they set out to conquer all realms, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. And Reptile knew that he would always be by Onaga's side, no matter what they faced.
Reptile stood before Onaga, his heart pounding in his chest. His master had given him a new mission, one that would test his loyalty to the Dragon King. Onaga had ordered Reptile to kill his longtime friend and ally, Baraka.
Reptile hesitated, unsure of what to do. Baraka had fought alongside him in countless battles, and the thought of turning on him was almost too much to bear. But he knew that he couldn't disobey Onaga's orders. Failure was not an option.
He set out to find Baraka, heart heavy with the weight of what he was about to do. It didn't take long to track him down; Baraka was in a nearby village, recruiting new warriors to join his cause.
Reptile approached him slowly, his hands shaking with nerves. Baraka turned to him, eyes widening in surprise.
"Reptile, what are you doing here?" he asked.
Reptile didn't answer. Instead, he drew his weapons and attacked, knowing that he had to kill Baraka before his friend could defend himself.
The fight was intense, both of them delivering devastating blows to one another. Reptile tried to push the guilt of what he was doing out of his mind, focusing solely on defeating Baraka.
In the end, Reptile emerged victorious. Baraka lay at his feet, bloodied and broken. Reptile stood over him, his expression remorseful.
"I'm sorry, my friend," he said.
With a heavy heart, Reptile returned to Onaga and delivered the news of his success. Onaga nodded, pleased with his loyal servant.
"You have done well," he said. "Your loyalty to me knows no bounds. You are a true warrior of Outworld."
Reptile couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt as he bowed before the Dragon King. He had done what was asked of him, but at what cost? He had lost a friend, and his actions would haunt him for the rest of his life.
As he stood there, lost in thought, Kira approached him.
"Are you okay?" she asked.
Reptile shook his head, unable to speak.
"I just killed a friend," he whispered.
Kira placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"I know it's hard, but you did what you had to do," she said. "Onaga's orders are absolute, and you are a loyal warrior of Outworld."
Reptile nodded, still feeling conflicted. He knew that he would always serve Onaga, but at what cost? How many more friends would he lose in service to the Dragon King?
As he walked away, he couldn't help but wonder what the future held for him. Would he ever be able to make amends for what he had done? Or was he forever doomed to a life of servitude and sacrifice?
Reptile stood there, his heart heavy with the weight of what he had just done. He had killed his friend, his ally, and now Kira was telling him that it was all for nothing. Onaga had ordered another warrior to fight him, to determine who would be his right hand person. Reptile didn't know what to think. He had just killed someone at Onaga's behest, and now he was being asked to fight again. "I don't know if I can do this," he said. "I'm tired, and I'm not sure I have anything left to give." Kira placed a hand on his shoulder, giving him a reassuring smile. "You can do this," she said. "You are strong, and you are a loyal warrior of Outworld. Fight with everything you have, and you will be victorious." Reptile nodded, drawing his weapons once more. He faced Kira, both of them poised for battle. The fight was intense, both of them unleashing their full power against one another. Reptile felt the weight of everything he had done pushing him down, but he refused to let it get the best of him. He fought with all his might, determined to show Onaga that he was the strongest warrior in Outworld. In the end, Reptile emerged victorious once again. Kira lay at his feet, gasping for breath. Onaga appeared before him, a pleased expression on his face. "Well done, Reptile," he said. "You have proven yourself to be the strongest warrior in Outworld. You are now my right hand person." Reptile bowed before his master, feeling a mixture of relief and uncertainty. He had achieved his goal, but at what cost? He had killed a friend, and now he was beholden to Onaga. Was this really the life he wanted to lead? As Onaga walked away, Reptile turned to Kira. "I'm sorry," he said. "I had to do what I did." Kira nodded, giving him a half-smile. "I understand," she said. "You did what you had to do. But remember that there is always a choice. You can choose to be something more than just a servant of Onaga. You can choose to be a true warrior, not just in battle, but in your heart." Reptile nodded, feeling a glimmer of hope in his heart. He didn't know what the future held for him, but he knew that he didn't want to be defined by his loyalty alone. He wanted to be more than just a servant of Onaga. He wanted to be a hero.
Reptile knew that he had to act fast. He couldn't continue to be under Onaga's rule, but he also couldn't do it alone. He needed allies, and the first person he thought of was Khameleon. She was always a fierce warrior, but she had also shown kindness to him in the past. He had a feeling that she could be convinced to help him.
"Khameleon," he said as he approached her. "I need your help. Onaga is becoming too powerful, and I fear for the safety of Outworld."
Khameleon looked at him skeptically. "And what do you propose we do about it?"
Reptile thought for a moment before responding. "We need to challenge him in Mortal Kombat. If we win, we can end his reign and restore peace to Outworld."
Khameleon considered his words before nodding. "I will help you, but we will need more warriors if we stand any chance of winning."
Reptile knew she was right, and together they began to gather a team of warriors to fight alongside them in Mortal Kombat. They knew that the stakes were high, and the consequences of their actions would be severe. But they also knew that it was the only way to free themselves from Onaga's tyranny.
The day of the battle arrived, and Reptile and his team entered the arena, ready to face Onaga and his strongest warriors. The battle was fierce, with both sides unleashing their full power. Reptile fought with all his might, fueled not only by a desire to win but also by a need to right the wrongs he had committed in the past.
In the end, it was Reptile who struck the final blow, defeating Onaga and ending his reign of terror. The crowd erupted in cheers as the surviving warriors bowed before Reptile. He had become a hero in their eyes.
As he looked out at the victorious crowd, Reptile felt a sense of pride that he had never experienced before. He knew that he had a long way to go to make amends for his past, but for the first time, he felt like he was on the right path. With his new role as the leader of Outworld, Reptile vowed to be a true warrior, not just in battle, but also in his heart.
As the power of Onaga flowed through him, Reptile couldn't help but feel a sense of fear. Was this what being a true leader meant? Taking the power of those he defeated? Khameleon approached him, sensing his confusion. "Reptile, what's wrong?" Reptile shook his head, trying to shake off the feeling. "I just...I don't know if this is the right thing to do." Khameleon looked at him with understanding. "It's not an easy choice, Reptile, but sometimes we have to do what we can to protect our people." Reptile nodded, accepting her words. "You're right. I just hope I can be a better leader than Onaga was." Khameleon put a hand on his arm. "You already are, Reptile. You've redeemed yourself and earned the respect of our people. That's a great start." Reptile smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He knew that he still had a lot to learn, but with Khameleon by his side, he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
With Onaga's death, and Reptile's newfound powers, Zaterra would be restored once more...
