Unknown Location (Night)

Bursts of red and black energy surged from the stone egg, forcing Dominic to cover his face with his arm. "Ten long years, and it's all led up to this. My greatest achievement!" he exclaimed, his eye glowing brightly. Suddenly, a bolt of electricity shot from the Incubation Chamber and struck the blonde's arm, singing his jacket sleeve. "Heheh. Just as strong as I remember." he said, walking to a control panel behind a pane of reinforced glass.

After flipping a few levers, a black and white screen turned on, revealing the image of a strange winged being. Below the image were the results of a scan on the egg, a heartbeat, blood pressure, Aura level, etc.

"If I pull this off, nothing will stand in my way ever again." Dominic said, looking at a digital clock to his left. "Oh, sheep! I'm late to Yang's match!" Panicking, he pulled up the live feed on his Scroll.

What he saw made him rush out of the lab, dropping his Scroll in the process. On the cracked screen was his sister standing over her opponent, who had a broken leg.

Team RWBY Dorm (Night)

Sitting on her bed, curled into the fetal position, was Yang. After what happened with Mercury, she couldn't bear to face Ruby, Blake, Weiss, or anyone else. Right now, the rest of her team were in Team XICR's dorm with Qrow.

'Why did I do that?' she asked herself, eyes red from tears. She looked down at her hand. The hand that... She couldn't bring herself to recall the horrid event. 'Why couldn't I just keep my stupid temper in check?'

The girl flinched when the door to the room blew off the hinges. Turning to the now smoking entrance, she saw her older brother standing with a look of concern on his face. "I came as soon as I heard." he said, taking off his hoodie and laying it down on Weiss' desk. "Wanna talk about it?" he asks, sitting down next to his twin. Yang curls in tighter, not wanting to open up literally or figuratively. Seeing this, the elder twin continues with a different approach. "Trust me, I know the feeling. You think you're the only one with anger issues? I tore down a building to try to catch a girl who just repeated my words!" Dominic said, laughing at the memory. "But, I also know that it takes a LOT more than that to piss you off. Please, tell me what happened."

"You saw the live feed." Yang said quietly.

"But nobody knows what was going through your head." her brother replied. "If there's anyone who understands that there's never one side to a story, it's me. So I'll ask again. What happened?"

After a few minutes, Yang answered. "After the fight ended, I saw Mercury come at me with a kick. So, trying to defend myself, I gave a punch. Biggest mistake of my life."

Dominic spent the next few minutes thinking. Then, an idea came to him. "What if he wanted to frame you?" he suggested.

"What?" Yang asked.

"Think about it. We've never seen him use his Semblance, and between you and me, his heat signature is... off." Dominic explained. Seeing his sister's confused face, he elaborated. "I've sparred Mercury before, and when I tried to see his heat signature, I could only see what was above the belt. What if his legs are prosthetic, like my eye?"

The gears started turning in Yang's head, and little by little, she sat normally on the bed after wiping away her tears. "Even if you're right, why would he try and frame me?"

"Given everything else going on lately, I'd say he works for Torchwick. Maybe his whole team does." Dominic theorized. "If that's true, we need to be even more careful. It might mean that there's still something in the works."

"So, what's the plan?" Yang asked.

"Right now, we don't know what they're trying to do. For now, we stay silent and try and gather intel. See if there's anything we can use to predict their next move." Dominic said. "I know a guy who can sneak in and out of their room no problem. It's fool-proof."

"And you're sure it'll work for you?" Yang asked, smiling.

"I did say fool-proof, didn't I?" Dominic answered, laughing at the wordplay. "Glad to see you back to your old self, sis." he said, hugging his twin.
