Even though the area looked calm and peaceful, Shiketsu was pretty intimidating. Maybe it was because of the fact that the windows were clean and there wasn't any vegetation growth on the side of the building. It was almost as if the sun was shining harder on the school than anywhere else they had been before. The building was a couple floors tall, a floor for each grade, and then a back building for all the students to have their own dorm. Midoriya felt herself gripping her bag tight in anxiety.

The building wasn't the only thing that intimidated her. The moment Tsukauchi walked them to the main entrance guns were aimed at them. She jumped in fear, nearly dropping her bat at the sight of the barrels. Bakugou stood in front of her in a split second, glaring at each and every gunman in anger. He didn't seem very surprised by the aggression. He actually crossed his arms and glared at the men like he was a parent scolding their child.

"They're with me," Tsukauchi said, gesturing for the men to lower their guns. "Where's Kayama?" One of the men radioed for the woman Tsukauchi was looking for. It felt awkward waiting for her to arrive, especially with all the wary gazes on both of them. Midoriya felt herself gripping at Bakugou's sleeve for some sort of comfort. She was glad he at least didn't pull away from her.

"We're doing this, right?" she whispered to him. He nodded quietly to her question, watching the gunman like hawks.

"We're already here. There's no turning back now," he said. She hummed in response, sending her own glare to the men holding guns. They didn't have their guns aimed, but she could still see the tight grip on each handle of their guns. They could at least look like they weren't going to shoot them.

"I don't feel very welcomed," she whispered back to him. He gave her one chuckle, a surprise response. He liked doing that with her.

"They're a bunch of asshats, that's it. They're not the ones in charge, so don't worry about those extras," he said. They both looked back towards the front door at the same time, staring in awe at the women who approached them. She was very beautiful with long black hair that was full and ran down her back, and piercing blue eyes that felt seductive yet mysterious. Midoriya's gaze fell to the ground when the woman looked at her, almost as if her beauty was blinding. In actuality, it was hard for her to make eye contact with such a beautiful person.

"Well aren't these two a sight for sore eyes," she said. Tsukauchi gave a hearty laugh. His bright smile seemed to illuminate the area even more.

"Found them in the woods. They were hiding from the few biters that broke off from the horde," he explained. Both she and Bakugou remained quiet as Tsukauchi continued to give Kayama details on what he knew about them so far.

"We have space for you two. If you're willing to take it, of course," Kayama said. She smiled gently at the two, it almost felt motherly. Midoriya blushed at the attention.

"We will. Thank you," she said, bowing in respect for the older woman. Bakugou grunted in response, choosing to look away from her instead. Midoriya gave a nervous laugh, embarrassed by his lack of respect. Luckily, Kayami didn't seem embarrassed by it.

"Well then, Welcome to Shiketsu. This place has been running since the outbreak happened and we've opened our doors to anyone who needs sanctuary," she began, leading them through the front door. Midoriya didn't miss how she subtly ordered the men to lower their guns and move back to their station. She must be the one in charge around there. "There's a lot to show you, but we'll introduce them to you once you start your duties. All you need to know right now is where the cafeteria is and the dorm rooms you two will be staying in."

"Duties?" Midoriya repeated, her eyes watching the people tend to the crops in the courtyard. Kayama turned to her and smiled, pointing at the workers.

"We give people jobs to keep the place running smoothly. One day you may be tending to crops, helping out in the kitchen, or even doing supply runs if we're short a few hands. Everyone does their own part to stay here," she explained, taking them further into the school. Midoriya thought it was smart to have everyone working for their place, but it was also risky. She was never one to really disobey people, but Bakugou was another story. He'd probably do whatever he was tasked with, but he hated being told what to do. She hoped he chose his pride over his safety.

"This is the cafeteria. We give rations on a schedule every day. Everyone gets their fair share. Those who are late to the scheduled meal times don't receive their rations until the next meal time, so you've been warned." Kayama led them through the cafeteria, smiling and waving at people who called out to her. Midoriya could feel judgmental eyes on them, her eyes landing on a girl with dirty blonde hair. She didn't look nice or mean, but she did look surprised at the sight of them. Midoriya almost waved when she looked at her, but froze when the girl shifted her gaze to Bakugou, her eyes looking more than suggestive in Midoriya's opinion. Midoriya felt her blood run cold, bothered with something building in her chest that she couldn't identify. The girl's eyes remained on them as they walked through the cafeteria, and Midoriya had to fight the urge not to turn and glare at her.

"These are the classrooms. You will still be having classes though not nearly as long as before. At most you have three to four hours of class time every few days just to keep up with writing and reading kanji, and to assign you your jobs for the week," Kayama further explained. There were a lot of students in the classroom actually taking a lesson. Once again, Midoriya was shocked by how ordinary it looked. They were even wearing their uniforms! "Your weapons will be held in an old classroom we've converted into an armory. We don't allow people to carry guns inside, but small pocket knives are allowed. You can keep your bat in your dorm, carrying it around will only make people feel uneasy."

"Sorry," Midoriya muttered before she could stop herself. Kayama smiled at Midoriya again, almost reminding her of her mother.

"It's okay," she said. "Just make sure it stays in the dorm I assigned you once you get it. The dorms are this way." She led them to a door in the back of the main building which had a path that would lead them to another whole building where the dorms were. That building was three stories too and just a bit smaller than an apartment complex.

"Shit..." Bakugou cussed quietly in shock. It didn't even feel like student dorm rooms but a whole apartment for adults.

"We have a few dorms left so both of you can get a separate room," she began. Midoriya did a double take. It hadn't occurred to her that she and Bakugou would be staying in different rooms with a wall separating them. It had been a long time since the two of them hadn't slept in the same room together. It was almost like they made an unspoken rule to never leave each other's sights in a closed environment. Even Bakugou looked taken aback at the idea.

"We'll take one room together," he said before she could say anything else. Midoriya was shocked again, her cheeks turning red at the sight of the suggestive look on Kayama's face. She didn't look like a mature woman anymore, but a girl who was basking in the idea of people of the opposite gender sleeping in the same room together.

"We don't usually let that happen, but it's just been you two hasn't it?" she guessed. Midoriya nodded her head, gripping Bakugou's sleeve tighter. She hadn't realized she never let go. "Alright then. I'll allow it, but no funny business!" Midoriya felt like she was being scolded by a parent.

"How's the tour going?" Tsukauchi asked. He appeared from the door to the main entrance, Nagai nowhere to be found with him. She wondered if Tsukauchi let him go from his duties.

"Just finished. I'm about to show them to their room," she answered casually.

"One room?" he asked. Kayama smirked and led them inside the building. Midoriya barely had time to admire the common area before they were led to their dorm on the third floor.

"There's only one bed. I'll get you some extra sheets so one person can sleep on the floor," she paused, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Or are you two sleeping in the same bed?"

"Sheets will be fine," Midoriya responded immediately, hating how red her cheeks must've looked. Bakugou scoffed, turning his head away from her. She saw a tint of red on his cheeks two, and she had to stop herself from swooning. She never thought in a million years she'd see Bakugou blush. It was cute.

"Alright," Kayama said, opening the door to the dorm. It was more spacious than Midoriya thought. It was just big enough for two people, with one bed in the corner and a desk across from it. Near the door, there was a closet built into the wall that would be big enough to fit their small number of clothes in. If one of them slept on the floor, there was more than enough space for them to sprawl out comfortably. "That's it for today really. There are bathrooms in the common areas for you to take a shower and use the bathroom. There's power here, but we're working with generators. If you're going to shower with hot water, we ask you to keep it short. There are a lot of people, and that uses a lot of energy. If you need me for anything, I'll probably be in the main building somewhere. Just ask anyone with a walky-talky where I am." As if on command, her radio went off. She gave them a bashful smile and she closed the door to answer the call. They heard the sound of footsteps down the hall, and it didn't take long for them to realize she had left.

"Kacchan?" Midoriya mumbled once he took the blankets on top of the bed. He spread them across the floor, ignoring her confusion. Despite the sun being out and it only being midday, he looked tired. She knew he stayed up the entire night, he did all the time. He never listened to her when she tried to make him go to sleep either.

"We are not sleeping in the same bed," he stated. "I'll sleep on the floor."

"Why would you make us stay in the same room if you were gonna sleep on the floor?" she asked. She watched him lay the blanket on the floor, stretching it out as far as it could go before laying on it.

"Did you think I was going to leave you alone in this place? I don't fucking trust any of them, especially that albino headed bastard," he stated, pausing before looking her dead in the eyes. "Did he do anything to you?" His voice dropped an octave which sounded so deep in sultry she almost passed out. His face was eerily calm, but there were subtle hints of anger flickering in his eye and tone. She felt something flare within her from his protection, something she hadn't really felt since they were seven.

"No, but he got you good. Are you okay?" she asked, forgetting who she was talking to. His attractive calm demeanor faltered and was replaced with the generic anger he always sported.

"You looking down on me, shitty Deku?" he asked, his voice borderline yelling. He probably would yell if he wasn't so tired.

"Of course not," she said. "You just have a shiner under your eye and I thought it might hurt." He smacked his teeth and made himself comfortable on his makeshift bed.

"Don't look down on me, Deku," he muttered quietly to himself. "I'm sure the fucker looks worse than me." He was probably right. Bakugou was known for being a strong fighter, always leaving his mark with big purple bruises along his enemy's skin.

Midoriya wasn't sure what he was trying to imply, but she was happy he cared enough to sleep on the floor. Not that she'd allow it, because she never would, but it was the thought that counted.

"Good night, Kacchan," she whispered gently. "We'll take turns sleeping on the floor, okay? I don't want you to hurt your back." Bakugou growled again, his back turned to her as he lay on the ground. Midoriya assumed he was falling asleep, so she made it her mission to set up their room. She looked through her backpack, taking out anything she deemed important. She took out the water bottles and snacks she had stored away and placed them on the table. She took their only blanket and laid it on top of Bakugou, watching as he hummed in contentment. She smiled to herself, happy she was able to get such a response out of him.

She wondered if she was allowed to use the bath now. She had a cleaner pair of clothes she could put on. Did they have a fresh pair she could wear? It would be nice, but she didn't want to ask for too much. They already were giving her so much, she didn't want them to think she was taking them for granted.

She took the clothes she had and made her way to the shower. She was almost running, remembering each turn she needed to take to get to the showers. The idea of hot water running down her back was something she had only dreamed of since the power went out. It felt like something that was so far away, and now, by some random chance, it was right in her hands.

She froze when she saw the same blonde who was looking at Bakugou pull a shirt over her head, exposing her midsection and bra. Midoriya noticed her body. It would be considered voluptuous by a boy with her supple breast and noticeable curves. She was immediately embarrassed for watching, turning away as her cheeks scorched.

"Oh," the girls said. She looked at Midoriya in surprise, her eyes scanning her up and down. "You're the new one they brought in today."

"I'm sorry," Midoriya said while trying to walk around the girl. She waved her hand in front of her face, trying to defuse the awkwardness in the room and avoid seeing a naked body. She had always been quite a prude person.

"It's alright to look. We're both girls," the girl muttered. Midoriya ignored the offer, her cheeks already red at the idea of looking at the girl. She was easily intimidated by pretty girls, especially ones with a body of a model.

"Have you two settled in well?" the girl asked, pulling a shirt back over her breast as if seeming to realize her breast was making Midoriya uncomfortable.

"Yeah," she answered uncomfortably, shifting in her shoes. She wanted to shower, but she didn't want to be rude. Also, this could potentially be a new friend for her. She'd need one to show her the ropes.

"The boy with you too?" she asked, twirling a piece of hair around her finger. Midoriya felt her eyes twitch, that annoying feeling building in her stomach again. She put on a fake smile and nodded her head, pushing the feeling away and ignoring how bright her voice sounded at the mention of Bakugou. "It's always nice to have new people. I'll be more than happy to show you two around tomorrow."

"Really," she almost whispered, almost in awe at the girl's kindness. The girl smiled and nodded, grabbing her things before heading to the showers.

"They'll probably have you tend to the crops on your first day because it's the easiest job. I have that all week anyway, so I won't really be going out of my way much," she explained. "I'm Utsushimi Camie, but everyone calls me Camie."

"Midoriya Izuki," she muttered back. "His name is Bakugou Katsuki." the girl's eyes brightened at his name before she nodded her head and disappeared into the shower. Midoriya couldn't decide whether to feel unsettled at the idea of her meeting Bakugou or happy someone was willing to show them around. She shook her head and she undressed, deciding not to think about it. Entering the shower, she let the water take over her senses. She'd never felt this way about anyone, and it was starting to spiral out of control. She knew Bakugou was starting to become something more to her, but she didn't know how to confront it. He was so different from when they were in middle school. He wasn't as harsh, he didn't say as many mean things, and most importantly he didn't push her away. He was allowing them to become closer, and she hoped it was because he was accepting her. With someone as beautiful as Camie around, Midoriya doubted they could be anything more than friends, not that she minded it.

She sighed as she felt the hot water running down her back, watching the murky water swirl around the drain. She shouldn't hope or anything else. They'd already been given something great, and she'd enjoy it for as long as she could. Her feelings for Bakugou could be ignored. It wasn't like he'd feel the same way anyway.

Both she and Bakugou slept well through the night. It had been a long time since either of them slept with a full stomach and without stressing that something could happen to them at any minute. Midoriya actually had a dream, a real dream that didn't end in a nightmare and screaming herself awake. Bakugou looked like he slept well himself. The subtle eye bags he sported the past few days had nearly dissipated. His eyes didn't look droopy anymore and he didn't have that far-away look in his eyes. He even acknowledged her when he woke up.

Just before both of them went to bed the night before, Tsukauchi stopped by to give them an extra set of sheets and a school uniform. Midoriya hadn't thought that they'd be issued school uniforms, but she didn't mind. It never hurt having an extra set of clean clothes.

"It's not that bad," she told him when they were putting on their uniforms the next morning. The girl's uniform was quite modest with a plain white button up and a navy blue skirt that ended mid thigh for her. She chose not to wear the jacket because it was quite warm inside the building. Bakugou also wore a plain white button up as well as dark navy pants. They were allowed to wear their normal shoes.

"I don't like pretending like the fucking world didn't end," he growled, angrily buttoning the rest of his shirt. Midoriya sighed, looking in the mirror. It did feel like they were ignoring reality, but she liked the idea that things were back to the way they were, even if it was temporary.

"Should I cut my hair?" she asked, completely ignoring his complaints as she looked in the mirror. The green curls had grown past her waist, which is much longer than she usually kept it. She was due for a haircut before the outbreak started. Her hair had already grown past her shoulders and her bangs into her eyes. Now her bangs couldn't even be called proper bangs but pieces of hair that happened to be shorter than the rest of her hair.

"Don't fucking ignore me!" he exclaimed, throwing a shoe at her. She yelped out when it hit her, turning to look at him. He didn't look the least bit apologetic.

"I'm serious!" she said. "This place is the closest to returning to normalcy. Why are you so against that?" She watched as he sprawled out on the floor, looking as if to find the answer himself. She almost wanted to call him out on his hypocrisy. He wanted to be there, why was he throwing a fit? She kept quiet though because she knew he had a reason, he just didn't want to tell her.

"I can cut it if you want," he answered out of nowhere. She unintentionally smiled, running her hands through her hair at the thought.

"Really?" she asked. He hummed, giving her a small nod. Suddenly his cheeks turned red.

"You look good with short hair," he said huskily under his breath. Her eyes widened in shock. A compliment? From the Bakugo Katsuki. She must be dreaming. Suddenly she was impatient to get her hair cut.

There was a knock at the door surprising both of them. Midoriya opened it, expecting to see Kayama but instead was greeted by Camie. The blonde smiled brightly at the greenette. "Morning!"

"Good morning…" Midoriya mumbled, suddenly feeling small and insignificant. Camie was pretty first thing in the morning too, huh? She turned back and looked at Bakugou who seemed disturbed to be near such an energetic person first thing in the morning. Both of them tended to be zombies when they woke up.

"Good morning, Bakugo-kun!" she cheered, ignoring the look of confusion on his face.

"Do I know you?" he asked rudely, his eyes scrunching in a mean demeanor. Midoriya coughed, subtly telling him to be nicer. She didn't want a nice girl like Camie to be warded off from helping them before they knew their way around.

"Midoriya-chan told me your name yesterday. I promised to help you two around if you don't mind," she explained. Midoriya bowed and thanked her quietly, hurriedly putting her hair in a ponytail. "Oh! Class doesn't start for a while, so you don't have to rush." Even though Camie was talking to her, it felt like she wasn't. The blonde's eyes were on Bakugou, who seemed to be staring off into space as he waited for Midoriya to get ready. Camie almost looked disappointed to not be getting attention but shook it off as she waited for them in the hallway.

"Didn't think you'd make friends with a girl her," Bakugou said suddenly, looking out the open door. "She seems too preppy for you."

"Let's just go," Midoriya said deflated. She didn't catch the small glimpse of confusion in Bakugou's eyes. Instead, she focused on following Camie, quickly noticing how often the girl looked back behind her. Midoriya knew she was sneaking glimpses at Bakugou, even if she was trying to hide it by smiling at her. Midoriya would never say anything about it, she's not confrontational, but it was bothering her.

The hallways of Shiketsu stretched for what felt like ages. The dorms were in a large rectangle of ten rooms on each side, the elevators meeting in the middle. From the elevator, they took another long corridor to get to the common room before finally exiting the dorms and traveling through the small trail towards the actual school. Midoriya hoped they would only stay on the first floor, she was already lost thinking about how she was going to get back to their room.

"You'll get used to the layout soon," Camie told her. She walked with her hands clasped behind her back, her head held high as she took confident steps. "I'll help you as much as you need until then." She gave Midoriya a pretty smile that she couldn't help but return. Camie was too pretty, and though she was a bit intimidating she exuded enough positivity for Midoriya to relax.

"How long are the classes?" Midoriya asked, looking back at Bakugou. He had his hands in his pockets and his head down, seeming almost disengaged with their conversation. She would have thought he was listening if he hadn't snuck a glance towards her. Her cheeks heated and she slowly turned away, giving Camie her (almost) complete and undivided attention.

"An hour to two. It depends on what they are teaching. Kanji takes longer than math, which I like," she cupped her hand over her mouth as if to tell a secret. "I'm not that great at it." She giggled before returning her hands behind her back. "Anyways, a few minutes after classes we have to report to our duties. I think Kamayi gave you crop duty Midoriya, but I think Bakugou-kun has scavenging duties."

"Scavenging," Midoriya repeated. Bakugou looked like he was listening then, his brows creased with a gentle look of annoyance crossing his face.

"Mmm," Camie confirmed. "Tsukauchi needs more hands to help look for supplies. We lost a good helper the other week. We've been losing a lot lately. He said something about Bakugo having a good eye, whatever that means. I wasn't really supposed to be listening." Midoriya's eyebrows scrunched together, a million thoughts running through her head. He'd be leaving again. She didn't like the idea of him traveling with strangers. They could leave him for dead if anything happened. To them it wouldn't be a loss, it was just some new guy they had, but to her, she'd literally die. He was all she had left. She didn't want to lose that.

"Does he have to?" she asked quietly, her gaze falling towards the ground. She felt Camie's gaze on her, but before the girl could say anything, Bakugou had already opened his mouth.

"It doesn't fucking matter what you want Deku!"

"Deku?" Camie questioned, her eyes wide. Neither of them cleared her confusion.

"We haven't even been here for a day and you're already ready to go back out there?" Midoriya asked. "Are you not scared you won't make it back?" His eyes twitched and his fist balled. She knew it would do no good to trigger his anger but she was serious. She was terrified of being out there alone in the house they stayed in. She couldn't even imagine being alone with the infected. Bakugou was way braver than she'd ever been, but that didn't mean she wanted him to go out and risk his life for some food.

"It doesn't fucking matter," he repeated. "So don't say shit about it." By the tone of his voice and the way his face scrunched, she knew the discussion was over. It was much quicker than any argument they'd ever had, but somehow it felt the most damaging.

"Anyway," Camie said awkwardly. "We're here." The classroom was indeed on the first floor, and it was the first room by the entrance. There were at least thirty other kids in the room, all chatting idly to one another. Midoriya felt her heart pound in her chest. When was the last time she'd seen so many people her age looking so normal?

The idea ate away at her brain.

"There are more students, but they have class later," Camie said. "You can sit anywhere, the teachers don't really care that much." She looked at Bakugou, pulling a piece of hair behind her ear. "You can sit with me if you want." He scoffed and entered the classroom without both of them. Midoriya almost smiled at his actions, but she was too anxious. The last time she was around a large group of people, they nearly tried to kill her. What would be different this time? Kids around her age, all of them scared to death of the outside world, of what they could become.

"Oi," she heard. Her head snapped up. It wasn't Camie, their voice was too deep. In fact, she recognized that voice. "Are you gonna stand there all day? Class starts soon." It was the albino kid. The one that beat her up. She would have never guessed that he was her age being how tall and strong he was. Someone stood next to him. A girl with long, pin straight bright red hair. She looked mischievous with her small eyes and thin lips that were drawn in a smirk.

"I'm sorry?" she found herself saying. She was completely intimidated. It felt like people were staring at her, watching her every mover, judging her. She hadn't felt that since before the end of the world, since before it was just her and Bakugou. She didn't miss that feeling at all.

"You're the one we brought in right?" Nagai, the white haired boy, asked. "I don't remember you being so tiny. I'm Nagai," He points to the red headed girl. "This is Hasaki." The girl didn't wave, nor did she drop her smirk. She almost seemed as if she were scheming something.

"I'm–"

"Deku," she heard behind her. Instinctually, she turned to Bakugou and gave him her full attention. "Come here. I saved you a seat." He was glaring at Nagai, and Midoriya quickly realized having the two of them in the same room might be difficult. As if to avoid conflict, she begins to walk toward him, but then Nagai speaks again.

"Your name is Deku?" he scoffed. she flinched, her hand raising to scratch the back of her head. Suddenly she didn't want to be in Shiketsu anymore. She wanted to be back in their little house with just Bakugou. Even if he doesn't say anything to her ever, she preferred that to the taunts of others.

But there are monsters out there, a voice reminds her. Human and dead. How could she forget? They were still running after all. She snapped out of her thoughts when she felt Bakugou's heated glare behind her. She gave a nervous smile, her cheeks permanently pink.

"It's not," she managed to say. "It's Midoriya. Nice to meet you." She bowed then turned on her heels to make her way toward Bakugou. He was frowning when she looked at him, which confused her. When he noticed she was looking, his face blanked and he turned to face the board.

"Are you mad at me?" she asked. She was surprised he even looked at her.

"Why would I be?" he asked back, his tone soft. She found herself relaxing, her eyes searching his for any anger. There was none, and she found herself entranced. He looked youthful when he wasn't mad, almost ethereal. She almost didn't respond until she realized he was waiting for her to respond. She blinked, pushing away all the admiration she felt for him.

"You seem grumpy," she said. "Does your back hurt? You're slumped over." She said, trying to change the subject. He glared at her, and she almost smiled. Somehow, an angrier Bakugou made her more comfortable. It was almost as if all normalcy had returned.

"Don't look down on me, Deku," he said, but his tone was soft. She almost convinced herself that it was harsher, meant to scold her instead of whatever it did. It made her head spin, her heart pound.

He sounded affectionate, especially when he said her name.

All people who were assigned for scavenging met in front of the school gates. Bakugou was meant to go there alone and Midoriya was supposed to go to the courtyard to help with the crops, but he found himself waiting with her by the gates as they were assigned their scavenger buddy. She hadn't said anything yet, but by the way, she was picking at her nails and biting at her lips he knew she was anxious. He was growing annoyed at her silence, mainly because it was making him anxious, though he'd never admit it out loud.

"Dammit Deku! If you're not gonna say anything just leave!" he snapped at her. She didn't even jump, just looked at him with big, doe eyes and pouty lips. He forced himself not to blush. He didn't need that right now.

"It's only been a day, Kacchan!" she repeated. "I'm worried." Her tone was so soft, so sincere that it made his chest flare in affection. He found himself wanting to hold her in his arms, caress her face, her hair, just any physical contact, but he restrained himself.

"Stop pitying me," he told her cowardly. She opened her mouth to respond, but then Tsukauchi approached the two of them with a kind smile on his face.

"I only asked for one of you," he chuckled. "Are you seeing him off?" he was clearly talking to Midoriya. She nodded her head silently and looked towards the floor, her arms crossed politely in front of her as she picked at her nails. He made her uncomfortable. He was a big man with broad shoulders, but that wasn't intimidating to Bakugo in the slightest.

"What's it to you," Bakugou hissed at him. He could practically feel Midoriya flinch next to him and almost dared to scold him. Instead, she scolded the floor and remained silent. Tsukauchi simply smiled, as if the comment didn't offend him at all. That made Bakugou glare at him. He hated bastards that didn't take his words seriously.

"I already have a list of who's going and their partners. I think it's nice to have someone send you off," Tsukachi explained. "It's best you'd make your way to the courtyard though. They've probably already started harvesting, and it'd be bad if you were late on your first day Midoriya."

"Yes, sir," she said, bowing again and looking hesitantly at Bakugou. Before he could do anything, she wrapped her arms around him and squeezed, then let go and sprinted towards the courtyard. Tsukauchi chuckled at him, crossing his arms proudly across his chest like he were his father.

"Your cheeks are as red as a tomato!" he joked, his voice boisterous. Bakugou glared at him and tightened his fist when he realized people were staring. Leave it to Midoriya to make him look weak. Though, in the back of his head, he knew he'd cherish her warmth for a while.

"Shut up!" Bakugo responded under his breath, waiting for the man to get to the point. Tsukauchi waved over a boy around his age who was thin and short, his ash blonde hair fluffy and unkempt. The boy looked bored, his eyes thin and not really focussed on anything. His hands were stuffed in his pockets and his posture was lax. Bakugou knew, based on his appearance, that he wouldn't like the boy.

"This is Nakasawa. Nakasawa, Bakugou," he pointed to both of them as he greeted the two boys. "You'll be partners today. Take car number fourteen." He threw the keys at Bakugou, which he easily caught. He also pulled out a large map with marked sections. "You're driving. These are the areas we were searching in today. You two boys are searching area twelve. You think you can handle it?"

"Don't underestimate me," Bakugou said as he scanned the map. He wished Midoriya were there, she'd do a much better job. For now, he'd have to rely on what he remembered about maps and about how she interpreted them. There was a lot to cover, and it could take up the whole rest of his day, but if it meant they'd have food he'd do it.

"Then go. Daylight's wasting."
