"Welcome to Aspertia City." I note as I gesture to the expanse of buildings below.
Most of the buildings are two stories, but there are a couple that reach three or even four stories.
"So... is this the place?" The dragon trainer to my left asks.
"Yep. This is the place with the least impressive gym." I nod as I slowly trudge forwards.
"This guy's the weakest?" The girl scoffs.
"Which is why I'm getting him out of the way first." I quietly agree. "But I don't see why you are getting so uppity... you'll be forced to take on all six of his pokemon with merely your three... and I've heard that his one badge team is actually sort of impressive... it's not something you could beat by merely going out an catching a team of six patrat. You need some actual skill and hard work to defeat him... at least this early in the circuit."
As we begin walking down the beaten path towards the city, the dirt underfoot slowly turning to asphalt I look over to my traveling companion. "So. I've got to ask, are you registered as a pokemon trainer in Unova?"
She doesn't respond so I look back to the front and continue walking. "I see. We should get that fixed. You can't take the Gym Challenge without it."
"Tch. That's stupid." Zinnia scoffs under her breath.
"I know. being registered doesn't even do anything anyways! criminals can easily get a pokemon whenever they want regardless of if they are registered or not. all they need is a stolen pokeball or they could just simply catch something regardless of if the ball is registered or not... why do you think poaching is such a popular crime?" I agree with a low hum of disapproval.
"Ugh. It's such a bother." She sighs.
"Buuuut it does give some benefits. You can enter tournaments to get some cash. You don't get hassled by the police for having pokemon... they can identify your corpse when your craziness inevitably gets you fried by an angry Druddigon for sneaking into its den and hugging it in its hibernation.
"Druddigon?" The girl asks with that crazed glint in her eye she gets every time someone mentions the word 'dragon'.
"Red head, blue body, walk on its hind legs with two long clawed arms. I'd say that their average strength is about on par with the average strength of an Altaria, just a little bit weaker... it's a one-stage pokemon without any evolution, though."
"I do need to flesh out my team a little... any other suggestions?" Zinnia questions a hungry gaze in her eye.
"Axew is good. A large step above Altaria and Druddigon when it fully evolves, then I've heard we have Trapinch in Unova's centeral desert... beyond that... Kalos is to the North East of Unova... you might get lucky and find yourself a Noibat... pokemon who evolve into Noivern, a pokemon which can fight in even pitch-black darkness. It's about on par with a Haxorus despite only having two evolutions... but the closest and the quickest you could probably get something to expand your team would be a Horsea from the Virbank bay."
"Noivern... Haxorus... Trapinch... Druddigon... Horsea" The girl repeats under her breath.
"If you meet a Haxorus, fair warning. They are pretty calm and docile among the dragon types, but if you touch their tusks they'll fly into a frenzy."
"Gotcha." Zinnia notes.
Huh...
I thought she would do it anyways.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" She snaps.
"Well, I personally thought you'd be all 'cool. But I'm going to touch the face blades of a dragon that can cut steel just to see how sharp they really are'. That seems more like something you'd say. Not an 'alright'."
"THEY CAN CUT THROUGH STEEL?!" She gasps stars practically appearing in her eyes only to shake her head.
"Pfft." She snorts as she waves off. "I don't really care about the violence of a Hydreigon because they're cool and I feel I can handle it. But I'm not stupid enough to do something to piss off a normally calm dragon type. Why would I go out of my way to make my pokemon mad at me?!"
"Hrn." I lowly hum. "Whatever."
We make our way through the city, briefly stopping for directions to the pokemon center as we had gotten lost upon entering the city's heart.
We step into the red and white building after around twenty minutes of searching. Aspertia is deceptively large, so it took some time.
I glance over my shoulder to Zinnia, my eyes trailing down her leg to the anklet around her shin.
Good. She covered the head and keystone with a small bag. She's crazy... not stupid.
The nurse joy behind the counter glances up at the quiet jingle of the door as we wordlessly walk up, her attention refocuses to the teen at the counter as Zinnia and I slot into line behind him.
"I would suggest letting your Tranquill rest. It seems to be over stressed from training and a few days break would be good for it. As for your Pansear, his minor injuries have all been healed. I would suggest against doing any truly strenuous battles with him as heal pulse waned a bit on his stamina. Your Lilipup however is completely fine and ready for battle."
The unremarkable black hared teenager smiles and nods. "Thanks nurse joy!"
"Don't mention it. I hope you come back soon for another checkup." The woman smiles.
"I will!" He waves as he turns, nearly bumping into Zinnia as he flinches back, lowering his head slightly as he offers a quiet apology.
He leaves through the doors behind us as we step up to the counter.
"My friend here would like to take that test to renew her license into a Unova one." I begin as I gesture to Zinnia.
"I also think its about time I get my pokemon another checkup." The girl cuts in.
I nod along with her. "Most of my pokemon haven't fought since their last checkup, so I only really need you to check my Eevee."
The nurse joy's eyes light up. "Oh? An Eevee? That's quite a rare pokemon."
Her eyes stray to Zinnia. "May I know what pokemon you have? Do you have any pokemon which are problem children?"
"I have a Whismer, an Altaria, and a Shelgon."
The woman's eyes widen slightly at the last pokemon. From what I've researched It is incredibly unusual to see someone who actually trains a Pseudo legendary while carrying so few pokemon. Nurse joy probably assumes that she is quite early in her gym circuit- which is technically true due to her originally seeing it as a waste of time- with a mere three pokemon, Zinnia looks to be a no badge- or quite possibly a one badge trainer.
Typically, most people don't even gain access to Pseudo legendaries until they have six or seven badges... and Zinnia is here with a second stage pseudo legendary without even having her first Unovan badge.
"Oh, I see... Very well, I'll get the test for you and while I give your pokemon a checkup you may have something to do."
She turns her attention to me. "Now, You. Did your Eevee take any serious blows in your last fight? And exactly how long has it been since your last checkup... this question applies to both of you."
"About a week, but I want all members of my team to be in tip-top condition before the gym battle just in case things go wrong."
"Six months." Zinnia announces after I finish.
"I... would recommend you go for once a month at the least." The nurse quietly chastises.
"Audi-no!" A waddling pink and cream colored pokemon wanders over holding a packet of papers on a clip board, a pencil on a chain looped around the top corner.
The healer pokemon offers the board to Zinnia who frowns down at it.
"I'll take care of your pokemon first." The nurse decides as she looks to Zinnia. "You may take a the test over there."
She gestures to one side of the wall then looks to me and gestures to the other side. "And you may wait there."
I nod, seeing how she is separating us, so I don't help my apparent 'friend' on her quiz.
Reasonable... I can only hope she doesn't fail and make me look bad.
I look to my watch with a bored frown, causing a holographic screen to appear as I tap the back of it a couple of times.
'let's catch up on some news. What happened in the past week I was out in the wild.'
Angry Hydreigon rampaged outside of Opelucid City and had to be put down by Drayden, a miniature tournament in Virbank wrapped up yesterday, annnnd wow. Really? That's it?
You'd think that in a world where dragons, ghosts, and psychics fighting is a normal occurance... there might be some more interesting news.
Oh? Here we go. A flock of Swablu is returning north after the winter, a gang of Gyarados have been occupying the Virbank bay, sinking ships trying to cross over to Castelia city and the Gym leaders have been trying to kick them out with mixed results. They appear to be gone for the most part, but one pops up every now and then to attack a boat, then they are typically repelled by the sailor's pokemon.
Shipping between Virbank and Castelia has monstly returned to normal after Gym Leader Burgh showed up to help out with his personal team. Primarily his Vikavolt, but the rest helped out in dispersing the gang.
Roxie has two Toxtricity? Huh...
Yeah, that checks out.
I skim the web for a while, a small frown on my face, people enter and exit the pokemon center in this time as I boredly wait for Zinnia to finish.
Pov: Elsewhere
Dozens of figures in black stand in a jostling aircraft, some men, some women, they seem to shair a uniform, black combat gear with berets that have a white X on the front, a black cloth mask covering their mouths.
The man towards the front, the only person without a beret looks back to the others, he has short brown hair and his mask instead of merely pure black has the bottom half of a skull upon it.
"Alright." He calls out, his eyes straying the group. "Our goal is simple."
A picture of a black haired teen appears on the wall behind him. "This is Cheren Lisna. The Gym Leader of Aspertia City. Earlier this year, he finally got his Gym officially registered by the Pokemon League. We had thought that we had a victory against the league with the retirement of Gym Leader Lenora. But it is to be expected that the Pokemon League would replace them as soon as possible."
"Our mission is to remove this Gym Leader before he can adapt to the life of a Gym Leader. Yet, seeing that his personal team is nothing to scoff at... we shall be removing the trust of the Leage within him. We will split into two groups. Three fourths of you shall be with me while the remaining eight shall accomplish our true mission. You are to target the Gym itself. Stealing the pokemon the league has granted. However, if you feel that you are unable to successfully exfiltrate, merely breaking the pokeballs and unleashing the pokemon should suffice. Hendrick, you shall be leading this team. Pick out seven to go with you."
A blonde man in a beret slaps a hand across his chest, fist pounding over his torso. "I won't let you down, sir!"
"See that you don't."
Pov: Returned
"I'm like... genuinely surprised you actually succeeded the test." I mutter over to my companion.
"Oi! Do you think I'm dumb or something?!"
"You look less book smart and more 'Street Smart'. I also figured most of your knowledge would be Hoenn based things that you learned through experience." I answer as I continue walking forwards.
"A lot of the things I experienced in my journeys can apply to Unova as well." Zinnia scoffs as she crosses her arms over her chest. "I've been a trainer for nearly all my life I hope you know."
"Cool." I humorlessly hum as we continue walking. "The Gym should be just ahead, then we can-"
I stop walking and look over my shoulder in confusion.
Zinnia continues walking for a few moments before looking back at me. "You coming or-"
*BOOM*
A large plume of smoke rockets up into the sky.
"…"
The two of us just stare for a long moment.
"That looks a lot like not our problem." The Draconid girl observes quietly.
"Yep." I agree instantly only to look over to her. "Hold on a second, that is cold hearted."
"So? You agreed." The red eyed girl points out as she looks over to match my gaze.
"Fair." I relent as I turn and return to walking the way we were originally traveling.
People rush past us in multiple dirrections, civilians running away, and police running towards the explosion.
After around four minutes we make our way to the pokemon trainer school, otherwise known as the Normal Type Gym.
*BOOM*
Another explosion echoes out behind us as I blink slowly, the door is off its hinges, numerous unconscious pokemon lay across the field, as do some trainers who weakly wrythe in pain on the ground.
I'm... honestly a little shocked by their injuries...
"Oh? So they're trying to get in the way of me getting stronger?" I question lowly as I walk forwards. "Annoying."
I slowly approach the building and march up the stairs.
The girl behind me blinks owlishly as she quickly follows me inside. Someone seems to have turned off the lights.
Before my eyes can adjust to the indoors, I hear a voice call out.
"Damn! Sawk! Bullet Punch!" A gruff male voice snarls.
"SAAAWKAAAA!"
One hand falls to my hip as I raise my other hand and punch forwards in one smooth motion.
With a shrill squeak-like noise, a shiny black film seems to form around my fist as my knuckles crash into the blue martial artist's face with a brutal crunch.
The fighting type is forced into a backflip where it lands roughly on the floor below, a weak groan escaping its lips.
"WHAT THE FUCK?! SIMISEAR! FLAMETHROWER!" A feminine voice calls out.
A red light erupts from my hip as my fingers brush the button of my first pokeball, a bright flame erupts from the mouth of a darkened enemy.
*FWOOOSH*
*BOOM*
There's a brief pulse of energy as I hear an explosion in the far wall as my eyes adjust. The raging line of flames rushing for my body dissipating into nothing more than embers and smoke.
A white Espeon is stood in front of me as I smirk and look to the two figures taking cover behind a desk, the first is a woman with a short bob cut, and the next is a man with short orange hair and blue eyes, they both wear what seems to be matching black tactical gear, both are reaching to their waists to grab another pokeball as the Simisear picks itself up from the rubble of the destroyed wall with a groan, having survived the psychic blast my pokemon struck him with.
"Loki." I call out as I gesture forwards. "I don't like the way their arms and elbows are bending."
"Go! Krokorok!"
"Come on out Elgyem!"
"Hydropump the Lizard and monkey, into Bite."
With a small flash a black Vaporeon appears where the Espeon was standing, sending a tremendous torrent of water towards the appearing sand crocodile.
"WHAT THE FUCK?!" One of the plasma grunts shout as the Krokorok is carried across the room and smashes into the weakened Simisear, knocking them both flat with a loud crash.
The psychic alien like pokemon looks up, raising a hand and shooting a condensed beam of energy at the Vaporeon.
Before the attack can land, the black pokemon transforms back into an Espeon, crouching slightly and turning into the attack as the beam washes over his shoulder.
As the attack ends, he glows again and disappears under the effects of Extreme Speed.
An Umbreon reappears next to the small psychic type, its jaws wide as dark type energy crackles around its maw.
Loki's mouth clamps around the short Psychic's shoulder, taking him to the ground, he jerks his head back abruptly, lifting the psychic type off the ground and slams the alien back down as he shakes his head, savaging the poor pokemon.
It stops struggling after a moment, causing Loki to let go of it and lunge towards the trainers who both reach for weapons, they seem to have a combat knife concealed in their boots.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?!" The woman shouts.
Loki disappears.
*CRACK*
"FUUUUUUAAAAAACK! AAAAAGH!" The man screams as he begins to fall forwards
The guy's knee is now bent backwards as the black fox lands crouched on the wall behind the two trainers, practically ignoring gravity as he stands there for a milisecond, the red circle on its forehead glowing ominously as two blood red eyes flicker in between its two targets. Its teeth pull back into a feral snarl.
He leaps before he can be pulled downwards, making use of Extreme Speed yet again.
His teeth sink into the woman's ankle, tripping her as her head turns to look at her downed partner.
She lands roughly on the floor, but it doesn't stop there...
Loki spins, sending the woman's upper torso through the leg of nearby wooden table with a shower of splinters.
He lets go, leaving her a crumpled heap on the ground.
I stare at her for a moment.
She'll fucking live that?! Excuse me?!
Loki leaps towards the prone screaming man, his paws crashing into his forehead and smashing the back of the man's head into the floorboards hard enough to crack them.
He'll live too?!
Huh?!
"…"
I guess... in a world where you can walk out of a city and find a large angry rat that can shoot a laser beam- with STAB mind you, so a hyper beam with an extra fifty percent damage- humanity has grown to be a little more durable...
That's fucking strange considering I had my arm cracked by a fucking angry rodent not even three years ago.
Maybe I was just frail?
I doubt my body ate much, seeing as how I had no parents.
I turn towards the hallway and close my eyes, deeper inside the school I can feel them...
Numerous presences are within this school, some are weak, others are strong.
I can feel the general disposition of the people and pokemon within.
Loki stalks forwards, coming to stop beside me, with a flash he turns back into an Espeon and four red and white spheres float from the floor.
I catch two of them, holding both out towards the downed pokemon.
They are recalled into the pokeballs as I nod slowly.
"Holy shit." The girl beside me whispers.
"There are six more of them in the building." I announce as I gaze down the open door leading deeper into the trainer school. "And they have hostages."
"How... do you always do that?!" The girl snaps.
"Skill and experience." I note, not actually answering her question.
Her eyebrow twitches slightly.
"They've heard the sounds of battle." I cut in with a frown. "They are taking defensive positions in order to ambush us. They've summoned all of their pokemon."
I slowly walk forwards, creeping through the hallway, the stolen pokeballs stuffed in my bag.
The Umbreon stalks behind me, its red eyes darting throughout the darkened hallway, all power within the school seeming to have been turned off.
I pause in front of a wall of lockers with a frown on my face.
"There are two inside of the room on the other side of this wall... with five pokemon in total... there's also six people on the floor." I lowly mutter as Loki's ears twitch, signaling that he understood.
With a flash he turns into an Espeon and closes his eyes.
"One Ice type, two grass type, one flying and one dark."
"Espeon?"
"Think you can hit the Ice and grass with a sweeping flamethrower, avoiding the people on the floor?" I whisper.
The fox-like pokemon nods once, a small grin on his face.
"Alright. In that case, after you warp in there, do that... then I want you to swap back to Umbreon, thunderfang the flying type and doublekick the dark type. After which target any that managed to withstand your onslaught until they are unconscious. If the trainers themselves go for any of the hostages... show them that they have made a poor decision."
With a dull flash I am looking at a grey Flareon who savagely grins.
I gesture to the door. "I'm going to grab Azi and open the door, causing a distraction. That's your signal."
"Flaaareon." Loki mischievously drawls.
With a flash the large dark dragon type appears, he pauses briefly before slowly turning his head to look at me, his head coming up to my shoulder, quite intimidating when the normal Deino comes to about halfway up the thigh.
"Dei? Deino?"
"We are in a combat situation. People have taken over this school and have taken hostages. They aren't strangers to attacking trainers during battle... a cultural taboo. I am going to open that door and give Loki an opportunity to strike at them as they attack me. You are going to protect us."
"Deino." The dragon nods as he begins to lumber towards the door.
I take a place beside him.
Zinnia just stares from back beside Loki.
I lift a foot and kick the door as hard as I can.
*CRUNCH*
The door is shot from its hinges as wood splinters and cracks.
The door is flung across the entire room, slamming into the far wall and shattering into broken hunks of wood.
"Miractus-"
"Semisage!"
A barrier forms in front of me as seeds pepper the see through shield, an icy breeze that sends snowflakes raining across the wall, blades of wind cut into the barrier.
I wince as small cracks cascade throughout the protect shield, I reach up and place a hand on it as I focus.
The clear see-through wall darkens slightly as my eyes narrow.
*FWOOOOOOOSH*
A wave of fire rushes across the doorway, turning the room into a crackling inferno.
"SHIT! CRYOGONAL! TRANQUILL!"
"TAKE IT OUT LIEPARD!"
The sound of combat lasts for around five more seconds.
*CRASH*
A large purple cat with yellow spots smashes into the doorframe as torrents of water begins to splash around the room, putting out any fires.
The protect barrier eventually falls, causing Azi to let out a small huff of exertion.
My eyes stray to the children cowering on the floor, their hands folded over their heads.
"You six. Leave now."
The Espeon standing on a nearby desk gazes over the two prone Plasma grunts with a look of indifferience.
Five pokeballs float from their forms as they slowly fly towards me.
I return the lightly blackened cactus and green monkey, then the glistening snowflake, the grey pidgeon-like bird who has desks piled atop of its unconscious body, and the leopard laying on its side by the door.
They are added to my bag as I tilt my head to the left and the right with a small grin.
The Deino who walks in behind me lets out a low warbling growl, as he looks around, the children flinch at the dragon type.
Understandable considering his size and his species general temperament.
I nod slowly and leave the room, walking past Zinnia as she cautiously peers around the corner.
"The next four are a much larger issue. They know we are here due to the sound of combat... they are in the lunch room and it seems like they plan to leverage their hostages against us." I quietly announce as Azi and Loki begin to follow after me.
Zinnia frowns and trails along behind me.
Pov Elsewhere.
Damn it! DAMN IT! How fucking dare them.
A girl with a pink bobcut lays prone on the floor, glaring hatefully at absolutely everyone around her.
She wears a simple red hoodie, a darker red skirt, and black short shorts underneath, her hands clench, fingers scratching against the floorboards.
Her name is Courtney Lia Vania... she is eighteen years old. All of her life... she has been differient.
She is smarter than the average person. Like... a lot smarter.
While most children were babbling and drooling she was saying her first words and stumbling around. When others were learning to walk, she was learning the alphabet. When others say their first words, she was already communicating in basic sentences.
She is just better than everyone else.
I mean, clearly she is, considering the fact she got a doctorate at the age of sixteen, actually completing her schooling instead of dropping out of the last two years of highschool to go on a wild 'pokemon adventure'. She actually completed her learning before she got her hands on pokemon. Something that can't be said for roughly ninty nine point nine percent of people.
As a result of her gifted nature, forming relationships is... difficult. She is not ashamed to admit that she is a bit of a sociopath, however, in this world, one must be cold and cunning in order to survive.
The simpletons back in school feared her inteligence, they ostracized her. Tormented her for years.
At the age of seventeen she had completed a thesis on the nature of the deepest magma chambers, while most were floundering in their failures as an unsuccessful pokemon trainer. Of course, some did particularly well, but that success was nothing that some doping claims with some fabricated evidence could fix.
Then... she met him. The love of her life, the person who understands her worth... someone who valued her work immensely. He invited her to his organization... one which wishes to rid this world of the fools who destabilize nature with their massive sprawling cities with tremendous pollution... and the fools who want the sea level to rise.
Admittedly they do have a fair point about humanity ruining most seaside ecosystems with boats, industrial fishing, destruction of habitat, and pollution, but their method of harnessing the power of a legendary pokemon to raise the sea enough that most of the ports are too waterlogged to function just won't work.
Her glorious Maxie has a much better solution of simply raising a landmass from the seabed for humanity to live upon, leaving the already established ecosystems on the islands of Hoenn alone.
Anyways, she joined Team Magma as a scientist and in six short months she rose to the position of admin through her meticulous planning and attention to detail.
She was finally able to stand side by side with her darling Maxie!
He may not show his affection, but she is aware that his love runs just as deep as hers! He's just shy!
She vowed to herself that she would never fail him. He gave her the task of retrieving a counter to the legendary who could put a stop to their plans, said counter being the black and white dragons of Unova, in addition to gaining a pokemon who could put her new keystone to use. She was also going to make use of her time here to train up some more pokemon for the glorious Team Magma. She had almost a full team.
Had.
Her eyebrows twitch in poorly restrained wrath.
These fucking bastards.
She went to this school to learn about the pokemon of this region... to plot her journey and train her team against weak opponents to get them some combat experience... yet then these hypocritical mouth breathers had to choose the ONE WEEK that she was in this town to attack.
'Pokemon shouldn't be bound to pokeballs' Tch- what fucking hypocrites. They merely want to rule the world by being the only ones with pokemon.
They took her entire new team.
Her eyes stray across the room, a scowl on her lips.
She has memorized each and every one of these bastards... she is going to retrieve her old pokemon left at a nearby magma scouting outpost... then she is going to take pleasure in learning every single minute detail about them... then she is going to hunt down every person they have even a mildly good relationship with... and then she's going to kill them.
Parents, children, ex-lovers. All of them.
You don't threaten the lives of people if you have numerous weaknesses.
That what makes the little researcher-slash- Team Magma Admin so threatening... no siblings, her parents are dead to her, no exes, and her beloved Maxie can protect himself.
The pokemon across the room is nothing to scoff at. Even with her original team, she might get pushed slightly. The leader of this little group certainly has some powerhouses. Aggron, an Exploud, that puffy looking water type that's pink with a crown, then there's a Honchcrow, a Luxray and a large centipede-like pokemon.
All of them have this... dangerous aura about them.
They have clearly been well trained. Almost as well as her own personal team.
Then you have to worry about the other simpleton's pokemon, while not as impressive as their leader's, that still another eight pokemon to bother with, most of whom being within their second or final evolution.
It would be a tough fight. But it should be possible.
She would need her Typhlosion and Camerupt to be in top physical condition.
Someone has set these simpletons off. Originally there was only one or two pokmeon watching over the hostages, but now they let out their entire team.
The doors creak open as a figure slowly walks into the room, he has silvery white hair, tanned skin, orange eyes, and wears a tattered cloak over his shoulders, jeans, and a tight-fitting shirt that shows every little crease in his well-muscled chest and stomach.
He lets out a bored yawn, wiping an eye as his gaze strays across the room.
"Hn." He lowly hums as he watches the leader of this little group pull one of the children to their feet and put a knife to their neck.
"Stay where you fucking are!" The man snarls.
"Maybe you should be stabbing your bargaining chips." Suggests ignoring the sobbing of the boy with a blade to his neck.
Those eyes...
They are like hers...
The sheer indifference. The casual disregard for life. He is dangerous. A violent sociopath... just like her.
Her vision darkens briefly as his figure seems to glow, power wafts off of his body in streams of colorful light, his eyes glow a brilliant orange as his veins seem to bulge and glow, flames shoot from his body as metal is melted to slag, a blinding white shower of sparks shoots from his mouth-
With a blink he is back to the way he was originally, no sign of change or shift to his posture.
A vision?!
The last one she had was of some giant red and black magma dragon pokemon. It was what got her to make a thesis on magma chambers after watching it crawl out of a volcano and rend the surrounding land and sea in half with a single hyper beam.
"Put your pokeballs on the floor or I'll slit his fucking throat."
The teen unclips his belt with a calm smile as he tosses it aside. "Sure, sure. Whatever, dude."
The pink water type appears behind the trainer, sharpened ghost type energy forming around one of its large, tentacle-like appendages.
He boredly swings an arm over his shoulder, the water type's liquid body deforming as his hand finds purchase.
The floating jellyfish is shunted back, splattering against the floor and reforming slightly further away as its body slides across the floorboards.
"JEEEEEEEEEEELLLL" the pokemon shrieks as it writhes on the floor
The nearby Aggron lets out a loud bellowing roar as it charges forwards, its footfalls cracking and shattering the floor as it rushes forwards with a surprisingly fast speed.
Its horned head and metallic mask glows under the effects of Ironhead.
Her vision darkens again, two tremendous red eyes seem to open behind the teen. The eyes of an apex predator.
A wave of malice seems to bleed off of him, flowing out in all directions as the two reddened eyes look down on the Aggron.
The flood splits around the prone pink haired girl and leaves her completely unaffected, as other hostages begin to foam at the mouth and fall unconscious.
"Sit down."
As the Aggron reaches him he twists his body slightly, clenching a fist, it seems to trip slightly as the white haired teen's fist blackens... as if he dipped his entire hand into liquid rubber.
He punches the center of the steel-rock type's head.
*CRUNCH*
What she thought was the crazy teen's hand... was actually cracks cascading across the top of the Aggron's head. Its forward momentum was entirely halted. It has a visible fist-shaped indent in the top of its skull.
Everything seems to stop as the teen rubs his knuckles with his other hand, as the girl's vision returns in full clarity her eyes widen, seeing that what she saw was true... the hostages are all unconscious, as are the thugs who stole her pokemon.
*BOOM*
The world explodes into motion as a grey fox teleports into the room, the floorboards burst open; plant life of all sorts fill the room as creatures sprout from the ground.
No eyes, entirely made of vine and wood, merely just having jaws.
Some appear to be dog-like, similar to a manectric, others are elephantine like donphan, even some large crocodilian vines shoot from the floorboards with a shower of splinters, sharp toothy maws clamping around the nearby pokemon as they let out shouts of surprise.
Long snake like vines hoist a small spikey ball into the air as it observes the destruction.
A Shelgon bounces throughout the carnage, dragon pulses shooting from its hidden face towards the distant Exploud.
Two identical Flareon appear next to it and repeatedly kick it in the face as it takes a deep breath, dark pulses spew from the mouth of a large Deino as it lumbers forwards, sniping a Vibrava out of the air.
A calculating expression appears on the girl's face as she gazes around the room.
The two Flareon spin around, torching the Exploud with a tremendous wave of flame.
This... shouldn't be possible.
Who the fuck is this guy?
He knocked down an Aggron with a single punch, his team of mostly first stage pokemon are absolutely rending this team of mostly fully evolved pokemon.
A large purple horse-centipede thing crashes down in front of her as the trainer who started all this chaos steps onto it and continues on, crouching down before the pink haired Team Magma admin with a small smile.
Did he punch that one too?
"Are you alright?"
There's a brief flutter in her stomach.
'Who... is he?'
Intriguing. She must know everything about him.
Team Plasma is causing some serious trouble... I mean, REALLY. Getting in the way of Xander's Gym Circuit?! Do you people have no life preservation?!
Now he's going to be forced to wait like... a week or two in Aspertia! That's ridiculous!
Also, hello sociopathic girl with visions. Looks like Xander just got companion 2. congrats!
