Thank you all who have read this story so far. This chapter will be descriptions. There won't be any conversations. The Queen family and Starlin City history on Earth 5 that also includes the keys. The timeline is same as Earth 1 except for some important changes.

The Queen Family and Starling

The Queen family had settled in Boston in June of 1700. Sir John Queen was the wealthy patriarch of the family who saw the Colonies as a great opportunity for his family and their business. His merchant business had workers that specialized in shipping, weapons manufacturing, construction (buildings, docks, and shipbuilding to name a few), farming, fishing, clothing, keys, and jewelry making, and furniture. Sir John also had his own private army of 300 well trained troops. He arranged to move his entire family and business to Boston. After seeing that Boston's development had reach a stage stagnation, he saw a perfect fixer upper opportunity. Sir John's arrival and the stationing of his business in Boston had brought increased revenue and therefore more people to the town, especially during the French and Indian War, up until his death on July 1st, 1769.

Upon his death his eldest son Joseph Queen (born in Boston in 1740 and he was a master craftsman) inherited the business, the army, and all the property (including the large amount of land in what is now known as Washington state, were Starling city will be founded). Under his leadership of himself and his 3 younger brothers: Sean, Patrick, and Fergus the business and army continued to expand. While, the 4 Queen Brothers have all been trained in combat their roles were split. Joseph oversaw everything and was the one who managed everything business related, his brother Sean lead the army with Fergus, and Patrick lead the Merchant fleet. The Merchant fleet like all wooden merchant ships at the time were heavily armed and doubled as warships if the need arose. All crewmen were trained to fight like navy personnel. The Merchant fleet had 75 ships and the army had 2,500 well trained men by the time the 4 brothers took over. The finance for all this came from every aspect of the business especially during the French and Indian war which was a boon to many aspects of the business.

Over the following years however the brothers began to see tension beginning between the Colonies and the British Empire. In September of 1774 the First Continental Congress met in Philadelphia with 12 of the 13 colonies sending delegates as well powerful members of business and society. Joseph Queen was among those who attended along with his brothers, who he believed should be involved. Despite efforts to reach a peaceful solution, war broke out on April 19th, 1775. After the creation of the Continental Army in June of 1775, Fergus and Patrick Queen (with Joseph's blessing) took 50 ships of the Merchant fleet and 1,300 men of the army accepted commissions in the Continental Military. The remainder stayed behind to help defend Boston. Sean Queen, in conjunction with the Continental Military, was in command of Boston's defenses on the ground while Joseph's brother-in-law (through Joseph's wife Priscilla) commanded what remained of the Merchant fleet. They played an important role during and after the Boston Campaign which resulted in the British retreating from Massachusetts.

In January of 1781 a British Navy task force 40 ships in conjunction with 2,000 troops attempted to seize Boston with a combined attack. However, with capture of British Major John Andre who was carrying documents, which not only revealed the treason revolutionary General Benedict Arnold but the full details of the plan to attack Boston. Continental dispatchers sent the information to the Boston Garrison, and they were more than ready. At sunrise on January 21st, 1781, the British Fleet and Army moved into position. The army spread out in a semi-circle formation in the forest to surround the town, while the moved into bombardment range. Seeing that the garrison and defense fleet didn't move, the attack force advanced. As soon the attack force was in firing range the garrison sprung their trap. The forts of Boston Harbor opened fire on the enemy fleet which taken completely by surprise. The commanders quickly order return fire, but the fort's high elevation and thick walls protected them, combined with the 18-inch anti-ship cannons half of the enemy fleet was taken out so by time the 25-ship defense fleet sortied they had the numerical advantage. After a 3-hour battle the British fleet had been routed. Only 5 ships escaped, while the defense fleet lost five ships and had 10 that needed drydock for repair.

On the ground at the same time the forts opened fire the defending sprung their trap. Underneath the ground, where the enemy cannons were positioned to fire on the town, the garrison had dug small ditches and filled them with bagged gunpowder that was soaked in oil, in the same semi-circle formation. The ditches ran to a fort on the ocean side and another on the forest side. A trail of oil and gunpowder was lit the moment the first fort cannon fired. Causing a chain reaction that destroyed the enemy artillery one after another on both sides of the semi-circle toward the center. The remaining British troops were trapped by fire. At this moment Sean Queen ordered the charge. After a three hour battle the remaining 200 enemy troops surrendered. The Battle of Boston was over, and the Continentals had scored another decisive victory. The town and it defenses where still intact only five ships were lost, ten damaged, only two defending troops were killed and a few dozen wounded. The Boston garrison had captured a Brigadier General, a full colonel, and a major.

News of victory spread far, and the British abandoned their attempts to reclaim Boston. Over the course next several months the war began to end. Of the 50 ships of the Merchant fleet that went out only 20 remained. The remaining ships were ordered back to Boston. Only fifteen went, By September of 1781 the French army and Caribbean Fleet had arrived. Patrick Queen brought the remaining 5 ship to assist the French Fleet. Patrick Queen took part in the Battle of the Chesapeake on September 5th, 1781. Though the British Fleet lost, Patrick Queen and all the crewmen of every ship was lost. Their sacrifice wasn't in vain.

The victory at sea prevented General Cornwallis from receiving reinforcements and on September 28th, 1781, the Siege of Yorktown had begun and lasted until October 19th,1781 when General Cornwallis surrendered. The last battle of the war had been fought. But almost all victories have their causalities on the battlefield of Yorktown Fergus Queen fell.

After the Treaty of Paris was signed in 1783 the war officially ended. By 1784 the new government had been formed. However, The Queen family, their workers, and soldiers needed a fresh start. Joseph decided to move his family and business to Starling Bay on the Pacific Coast. As per the Treaty of Paris they still owned all the land around the bay for 200 miles in every direction. Since many American citizens would be going along, the new port and town would be considered American and subject to its laws. At this time this region is still under the control of the British Empire and the Russian Empire Controls what will be Alaska. This move will be part of an initiative to put forth American interest in the region. The Merchant fleet was packed and set sail in the spring in September of 1784 to go around Cape Horn and arrived in Starling Bay in July of 1786.

Over the course of the next few months a lot of work was done. The port and town of Starling had been built. Trade agreements had been made between the British, Russian, and Spanish Governor's along with the native tribes in the region. Business was going well and there was peace. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. In 1795 the British and Russian empires couldn't reach an agreement over a border dispute. In the winter of 1795, The British-Russian War began. In the beginning Joseph Queen had stated to both Governors that he and his people in Starling Town are American. Therefore, are neutral in the conflict and will sell supplies to both sides. From 1795 to 1802 it remained that way. But in September of 1802 Imperial Russian Troops attacked a Starling Convoy that was transferring supplies to British troops. Only 12 Starling citizens escaped back to Starling to inform the ailing Joseph and his family what happened.

The people of Starling were outraged and demanded retaliation. After Joseph recovered, he met with the British Governor make a military alliance until the war was over. There were many skirmishes between the Starling Military and The Imperial Russian army. One battle took place on the grounds where the Queen estate will be. The Russians under General Andrea Karpovich retreated into the cave system that was underneath. Sean Queen and his troops corned them, during the fire fight the wall broke behind the Russians and a blue ethereal light was shown. Then what seemed like bullets began to shoot out every so often. One of them hit General Karpovich, only he didn't die his face changed into that of monstrous creature. He proceeded to kill his own troops and then attack the Sean and his troops. They managed to kill him and left the caves. After the Russian army was driven north away from Starling Town Joseph and Sean went to investigate. They found the ground litter with those strange bullets. When they brought the metal to their native allies, the shaman was frightened. He explained that it is a portal to a demon realm, not hell, but an entirely different realm. The metal is what happens to a demon if they don't take a host.

Joseph decides to craft a door and padlock for the portal. Using what he calls Whispering Iron, his skills as a craftsman and his knowledge about alchemy he creates the Omega Key to lock the door to cover the portal. He then proceeds to make several keys and use their magic to help turn the tide of the war. In October of 1805 the British-Russian War ended. The new agreement that settled the border dispute and demand the Russian Empire to pay monetary reparations to Starling town was ratified in November a month later. It became know as the Starling Treaty as representatives of both Empires negotiated in Starling Town.

In spring of 1806 Joseph Queen died. He left everything to his son Robert Queen the 1st. Over the following centuries the Queen family continued to make more keys and expanded their business. Following the discovery of gold in the mountains outside of Starling lead to a lot of wealth being sent to the town. After 1846 when the British Ceded the land to the United States a charter was signed to show the founding of Starling City. The Queen business continued to expand. This companies steel, brick and mortar, and construction-built Starling into what it is in the 21st century. In 1960 the company was officially named Queen Consolidated.

Queen water and power controlled the power and water supply for the city. Queen Shipping owned the ports. Queen transportation owned the cab and bus services.

When Sean and Oliver Queen were 10 years old, Sean suggested to his father Robert Queen the 3rd that he should form the Queen Foundation to hold charitable events to raise money for a scholarship program and a crime victims fund. Sean also suggested that he build an Elevated Train System to untie the city. Robert agreed with all these ideas and put them into motion. Sean was worried, knowing his father had his affairs he was afraid of what one of them would do. Especially Isabel Rochev, who he met during a summer internship. Seeing her as a wrathful woman and being good at business, Sean suggested to his father that all the shares of Queen Consolidated should be under the control of the Queen Family. Agreeing with Sean's concerns Robert set about doing that. By the time the Gambit set sail the Queen Family had 100% of the company shares in their hands.

A.N. Well that concludes this chapter. I hope you all like it.
