Chapter 6: A Cornered Wolf

"Yes, I'm on my way!" Roxana shouted into the earpiece she was wearing. "And yes, I do have my security escort with me. So I'm perfectly fine."

"Roxana!"

Hearing a familiar voice behind her, Roxana turned around and saw a tall muscular man with light-brown hair tied back into a ponytail. His eyes were light-blue, and wore a denim vest with matching jeans.

"Freddy," Roxana gasped, feeling her hands go limp. "I thought you were dead."

"Did you really think I was dead, or hope I was dead?" said the brown-haired man. "And my name is Fredi with an 'I,' not a 'Y.'"

"Ah, right," Roxana recalled, turning off her earpiece. "That was your chosen alias."

Fredi looked confused. "Alias?"

Roxana paused and then laughed. "You don't remember? Monty must've hit you in the head pretty hard, then."

"Monty? Was he one of people who attacked me besides yourself?"

Looking down at her wristwatch, Roxana replied, "As much as I would love to answer your questions, Fredi, I have a meet-and-greet to get to."

Then as Roxana started to walk away, Fredi walked quickly towards her. "I'm not letting you leave until you answer my questions!"

"If you want to talk to me so badly, you'll have to catch me first," Roxana teased. "Security Bots, detain this asshole!"

Nodding in response, the wheeled robots that surrounded Roxana made their way over to Fredi. They surrounded him on all sides and grabbed him with their mechanical hands. But Fredi wrestled out of their grasp and punched each of them in the face. Like dominoes, the Security Bots fell and couldn't get back up. Roxana's eyes widened and she started to run away.

Unfortunately, her red dress had a tight hem that made her movement very restrictive. So she quickly unzipped the dress off, revealing a red-and-black top underneath with matching short-shorts. Purple arm and leg warmers covered her calves and forearms. Then once she removed her black heeled shoes, she was able to quickly run down the hallway and around a bend into a locker room that had motion-detecting lights.

She found one locker that was conveniently open and hid inside. After a few moments, the lights turned off due to the lack of movement. Despite this, Roxana was able to see beyond the locker door and the other lockers. Thus, when the lights turned on again, she saw Fredi enter the locker room from where she was hiding.

"I don't want to hurt you," Fredi claimed. "All I want to know is why you and your friends attacked me."

Gripping the sides of the locker, Roxana felt her green-highlighted nails grow sharp and her human ears transform into wolf ones allowing her to hear Fredi's movements clearly.

"We didn't attack you for personal reasons, Fredi," Roxana said. "It was part of an experiment."

"An experiment?" Fredi frowned. "What kind of experiment involves attacking people?"

"People?" Roxana snorted. "We're not people, Fredi. Humans created us, even though we look human. But apparently, we're not perfect. So Fazbear's current CEO Fred Bernstein the Third decided to test how we animatronics handle traumatic events."

Fredi stopped moving and closed his eyes as he now remembered the door to the bedroom had opened sometime after the purple-haired guy had been dragged away by a purple-clawed hand. On the other side, Roxana was tearing out the chest of the red-haired guy that got in front of Fredi earlier while a tall guy with a red mohawk was pummeling the face of the purple-haired guy. Then behind both of them was a white-haired woman holding up the same camera Fredi now had.

"Is that why you filmed the whole thing?" Fredi guessed. "To see how the survivors would react to the event?"

"Precisely," replied Roxana. "I take it you still have the camera that you stole from Chica."

"Would it make a difference if I did?"

"Not really, because Sun had a backup camera that he used to record everything. But if you could destroy the camera, I would appreciate it. Otherwise, you might as well give it to me."

"For what reason? So Bernstein doesn't find out that you misplaced a camera with evidence that could expose what you guys did?"

"That's part of it, especially with my budding political career. But it might lead people to realizing what the Freddy's Cafe waitstaff really are, and Bernstein doesn't want this new business venture of his to be ruined by ghosts from the past."

While the lights turned off again, Fredi thought he smelled something strong in the air. He followed the scent to a particular locker two rows down. But just as he was about to open it, Roxana came bursting out and pinned him against the locker behind him. As Roxana's amber eyes glowed, she held up her sharp green nails and slashed Fredi's eyes.

Crying out from the pain, Fredi tried to get out of Roxana's grasp. But she kept a tight grip and threw him to the floor. Next, she stood on top of him yanking on his ponytail.

"Had enough yet?" Roxana taunted. "We both know that I'm the best, so there's no point in struggling. Maybe I'll let you live long enough to tell Gregory that we're even."

"Gregory?" The edges of Fredi's mind lit up when he heard that name, though he couldn't picture exactly what this person looked like. "What did he do to you?"

"Wow, your amnesia is really bad," Roxana remarked. "The gist is that he stole my eyes to upgrade you. But it doesn't matter anymore, I suppose, since I have new eyes that work just as well as the old ones."

Upon hearing the word 'eyes', Fredi remembered sitting in a chair while a small boy with wavy brown hair placed new eyes into his sockets after taking out the ones he had. Then he remarked at how well he could see, muttering a name that was similar to Roxana.

"That's very interesting to hear, Roxy," Fredi said. "But I have a feeling you provoked Gregory into fighting you out of self-defense before he took your eyes to help me become better at protecting him from dangerous animatronics like you."

Roxana looked confused, which gave Fredi enough of an opening to lean sideways causing Roxana to lose balance and slam into a nearby locker. Then Fredi got up and punched her hard enough to make her reel back.

"You may have blinded me, but I can still smell you," Fredi said.
