So in this chapter, we're switching to G's perspective followed by a flashback.

Chapter 20: Innocence Lost

Frustrated by Fredi's constant amnesia, G was prepared to pull the trigger on his repairmen gun. But in his mind, he thought about the incident that occurred several months back which made him quit the Night Watch Repairmen. It was a cold January evening with snow coming down from the skies while the sidewalks were frozen over in ice. He remembered sitting in the passenger's side of a car with the driver being none other than Vanessa.

"Are you sure you're ready for this, Gregory?" Vanessa asked him.

"Sure I am," G answered confidently. "I took out that Music Man animatronic last week no problem. What's so different about this one?"

"It's a gender neutral animatronic, for starters," Vanessa said and pulled up a file from the binder she was carrying. "Their name is Lori Bitzer, also known as Lolbit."

"Lolbit? I've never heard of such an animatronic before at the Freddy's Cafe locations."

"That's because Lolbit is actually a rejected prototype for Funtime Foxy from Baby's World."

"Baby's World? You mean the animatronic cabaret owned by Will Afton that had its grand opening delayed indefinitely after his daughter went missing?"

"Yep," Vanessa nodded. "We don't know what happened there, because he refused to let any Night Watch Repairmen investigate the incident. But seeing Lolbit makes me think Afton's animatronics must have escaped from wherever they were taken to following his daughter's disappearance. If we can capture this animatronic alive and question them before we dismantle them, it might give us an insight to what happened at the cabaret."

"Does Phone Guy know about your plan?"

Vanessa shook her head. "He wouldn't approve of us poking into Afton's business."

"Then why are we doing this?"

"Because it's our job to protect people from these dangerous animatronics that are walking among us, regardless if they're made by Fazbear or Afton Robotics. Now let's go."

Getting out of the car, G entered the comedy club they were parked in front of with Vanessa walking beside him. She was wearing a white glittery evening dress, while he was wearing slightly better jeans over a dark-blue dress shirt. They both had their guns tucked away in hidden places, so the bouncers at the front of the club didn't notice anything before letting them in. Inside, the lights had already dimmed and a figure walked onto the stage followed by cheers.

While this person had soft skin and a petite body like a woman, they wore a man's tuxedo that was white, an orange vest, and had short white hair with orange highlights.

"Hello, ladies and gents!" said the figure on stage in an androgynous voice. "You all know me as Lori Bitzer, the funniest up-and-coming comedian in this city. And when I come, I really do cum before each show!"

Some of the audience members laughed.

"That's why I'm always wearing white, so you can't see the stains!" Lori joked, which was followed by more laughter. "But what else are you supposed to do during winter? It's too cold, and most adults don't go outside anyway. So why not relieve boredom with a little bit of releasing of your own?"

As more people laughed, Vanessa frowned in disgust.

"Lori's sense of humor is way too crass for my liking," Vanessa said quietly. "What do you think, Gregory?"

"I don't like being called 'Gregory' while we're on assignment," G said, not wanting to comment on Lori's style of comedy. "Just call me G."

"G?" Vanessa gave G a funny look. "You think that nickname makes you sound cooler?"

"Sort of," G shrugged.

The two of them waited for Lori to finish their performance before splitting up. While Vanessa followed Lori to their dressing room with the intention of pretending to be a big fan, G went to the backdoor and waited in the alley behind the comedy club. It was starting to snow again much to his annoyance, so he found himself shivering. Not long after, Lori came running out of the backdoor with Vanessa not far behind them with the repairmen gun in her hand. So G took out his repairmen gun and stopped Lori in their tracks.

"What is this? A stickup?" Lori said nervously as they knelt on the ground. "I'll give you guys what you want, just don't kill me, please!"

"It's not a stickup," G responded. "You're just being dismantled for being a rogue animatronic."

"Animatronic?" Lori laughed. "Do I look like a robot to you?"

"Don't try to fool us!" Vanessa held up her repairmen gun and pointed it at the back of Lori's head. "Your real name is Lolbit, and you were a prototype for the Funtime Foxy animatronic that was going to be a part of the Baby's World cabaret. But then you ran away and started performing here as a comedian. Why did you do that?"

"Because I'm funny," Lori answered.

From the ground, Lori picked up a fistful of snow and threw it in Vanessa's face. Then Lori tripped G and got up running down the alley as fast as they could.

"Shoot them, Gregory!" Vanessa said as she wiped the snow out of her eyes.

G aimed his gun at Lori, and was about to pull the trigger when Lori looked back at G. The pitied look in their face reminded G of the bear animatronic he lost at the pizzaplex.

"What are you doing?" Vanessa urged angrily. "Just shoot!"

Yet no matter how much G wanted, he couldn't shoot Lori. Then right before Lori got onto the sidewalk, they were shot by an electric pulse that wizzed past G's head and hit Lori at the base of the neck. Screaming in pain, Lori fell onto the ground where they twitched violently until they became limp and lifeless. G looked behind him and saw Vanessa aiming the repairmen gun with a look of apathy.

"Why did you kill them?" G said in disbelief.

"Because you hesitated," Vanessa claimed.

"That doesn't excuse going against your own orders!" G argued. "I thought you wanted to find out what was going on with the cabaret and Afton."

"Afton instructed me to go after Lolbit and destroy them." Vanessa then pointed her gun at G. "If you tell Phone Guy about this, I will kill you."

Just as G was wondering what was going on, Vanessa suddenly shook her head and looked confused.

"Gregory?" Vanessa then noticed the fallen body of Lori and was shocked. "What happened? Did you kill Lori?"
