"YELLING"

After the dinner was finished, Harry watched as the Davis adults and Lady Zabini left for home. His godmother and uncle did however offer Tracey and Blaise to stay the night, to which their respective parents agreed. Harry himself was still a little wary, but he had to admit that he was appreciative of Tracey and Blaise's support through his story of his time at Hogwarts thus far. He also had to admit, he kind of liked having more friends in his life, even if they were Slytherins.

For the rest of the night, he begins to grow closer to the two Slytherins, as he did with Daphne and Astoria. Because of this, he learned that Tracey, like Ron, is a Chudley Cannons fan, and will not listen to whatever negative comment someone makes against them (to which Harry amusingly thinks that she and Ron would get along well together about this). Blaise on the other hand, as Harry learns, is more or less a quiet type of person, and prefers to let his actions speak louder than his words, but he sure knows how to tell a good joke, and is a dependable person. Harry even managed, thanks to his lessons in cunningness from Daphne, to get Blaise to admit that he did in fact harbor a secret crush on Hermione, which amused Harry greatly.

As Harry was getting to know Tracey and Blaise, Daphne managed to sneak away from the group, and met her mother in her father's study. The Greengrass Matriarch looked at her eldest daughter with concern in her eyes. Daphne has seen the concern in her eyes all night, as Harry talked of his time at Hogwarts, and she was worried that her mother's concerns would be increased when she learns of what Daphne had seen, while she was briefly at the Dursley's residence. Nevertheless, Daphne had made a vow to tell her mother what she would see, and after what she saw, she hoped that her mother would be able to do something to help Harry.

"Daphne, tell me about what you saw at the Dursley's house, please." Her mother asked, her voice gentle and smooth.

Daphne looked at her mother and wondered about how she would react to what she had to say. Making a decision, Daphne prepared herself to talk.

"Before I tell you, Mum," She started, thinking of something that would be better for them. "You should conjure a couch or something, for us to sit in when I tell you what I saw. Trust me when I say this Mum, you're gonna want to sit down for what I'm about to tell you."

Daphne watched carefully as her mother's eyes grew more concerned, and took out her wand, transfiguring her father's desk into a couch. The two Greengrass ladies then sat down, Daphne sighed heavily and looked at her mother.

"Based on what I was able to see, and what little Harry told me, it wasn't good Mum." Daphne told her mother, going into the story.

Daphne told her mother of what Harry's room was like, with the bed mattress on the floor, the slightly broken furniture, the bars on the windows, and the cat flap on the door. Daphne explained to her mother what Harry had told her of how he lived with the Dursleys, of how he was treated. Daphne even told her mother of how Harry's relatives acted against him.

As Elizabeth continued to listen to her daughter, her disgust and anger towards the woman who was the only blood relative to her best friend grew with each description that Daphne was telling her. She remembered a few summers where she visited the Evans house, and while she was always welcomed by Lily and her parents, it was obvious that her sister Petunia was not. Petunia was always insulting her and Lily, calling them freaks and other names to make them seem non-normal, compared to her. When Elizabeth had heard that Dumbledore had hidden her only godson away after Lily and James' deaths, but refused to say where exactly, she had a gut instinct that he must've hid Harry away with Petunia, causing the Greengrass Family (at least in regards to the Greengrass Matriarch in the beginning) to lose any respect for the old man.

After Daphne stopped talking, Elizabeth started thinking to herself about what to do. Before she continued her thinking, she turned to look at her eldest daughter, who was looking at her with a look of confusion, and curiosity mixed.

"Thank you for telling me this Daphne," Elizabeth said to her, a small smile on her face. "I will start thinking about what to do next. But I will tell you this, there is no way in hell that Harry is going back to the Dursleys."

Daphne genuinely smiled back at her mother and left to rejoin Harry and the others, knowing that when her mother made a promise, she was going to see it through. Once Daphne left, Elizabeth got up and started pacing, thinking of what she was going to do about Harry. There was also what he had said about Sirius to take into consideration. If Sirius was indeed innocent, and Dumbledore believed Harry and his friends about Sirius, then why wasn't Dumbledore doing anything to help him? As Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, he could call for a special trial for Sirius, and overrule the Minister's Kiss on sight order for the Dementors. Instead, he was allowing the Minister to continue the manhunt for an innocent man, who could potentially be killed without so much as a chance to prove his innocence.

As she paced, Cyrus came into the study, a piece of parchment in his right hand. As soon as he saw Elizabeth pacing, he knew that she was thinking hard on something. Cyrus felt that he may have an idea as to what was making Elizabeth pace, but hopefully, the letter that he received, it would calm her for the rest of the night. Clearing his throat, Cyrus managed to get Elizabeth's attention.

"A response letter from Gringotts has arrived dear." He said, showing her the letter, which she graciously took from his hand.

Cyrus watched as Elizabeth opened the letter, and read the contents. He had already read the letter himself and thus knew what was in it. He watched as Elizabeth read the letter, and sigh in relief, as she smiled at the letter.

"Well, at least we will be able to find out if Harry's parents did indeed leave a Will for their son." Elizabeth said.

"Indeed, I think it would be appropriate if you were the one who took Harry to Gringotts tomorrow," Cyrus said, gently gripping her hand. "It'll be an excellent bonding time for the both of you."

Elizabeth smiled at her husband, before she hugged him, then proceeded to kiss him. After that, they went into the parlor room where the kids were and explained to Harry the plans for tomorrow. Fortunately, the thirteen-year-old was accepting of the plan and looked forward to spending a day with his godmother.

The next morning, Harry found himself in the dining room of Greengrass Manor, joining Cyrus and Elizabeth who were already sitting at the table. Deciding to take a seat next to his godmother, Harry sat down and prepared himself for breakfast.

"How'd you sleep last night Harry?" Elizabeth asked, turning to look at her godson.

Harry looked at his godmother with a smile on his face.

"Pretty good; it's nice to be able to sleep comfortably, though that's not to say that the beds at Hogwarts aren't comfy either." He replied, being careful to choose his words wisely.

Elizabeth did note that Harry was choosing certain words, but she decided to let it slide. She simply wanted to enjoy her time with him and didn't want to do or say anything that could jeopardize her chances of having a bond with her godson. As she went to resume her breakfast, a snowy owl flew through an open window and landed in front of Harry.

"Hedwig, it's good to see you girl!" Harry exclaimed happily, confirming to Elizabeth and Cyrus that the owl belonged to Harry.

Elizabeth watched with fondness, as Harry gently caressed Hedwig's feathers, while the owl in return fondly nibbled at his fingers. She then watched as Harry gently removed several letters from Hedwig's leg, and fed her a piece of bacon. As Harry sorted out the letters, Hedwig spread her wings out and flew just enough to land and rest on his right shoulder, before proceeding to nibble at his ear. Once he had his letters sorted out, he opened the one from the Weasleys first.

Dear Harry,

We perfectly understand that you wish to spend some time getting to know your godmother, as well as your betrothed. We will gladly wait until you can come to the Burrow, spend the summer with us, and go to the World Cup. Furthermore, whenever you can come to the Burrow, your betrothed, and anyone you wish to invite and bring along with you, are more than happy to come here as well. You know that you are like family here in the Weasleys, and that will also include your betrothed. You have my word, Harry, that Daphne Greengrass will be more than welcomed here, and she will not face any insults.

Hermione already arrived the day before, and we were all just about ready to come to get you, when your letter about your betrothal arrived, surprising us all. Nevertheless, when you can come to the Burrow, we will gladly welcome Daphne into our home with open arms.

Signed yours truly,

Arthur and Molly Weasley

Harry read through the letter from the Weasleys and smiled at the openness that they were showing towards Daphne and the rest of his godfamily. He wasn't surprised to learn that Hermione was staying at the Weasleys, as she was just as welcomed there as he was. He was looking forward to when he would go to the Burrow before the World Cup, and introduce Daphne to his pseudo-family. He laid the letter down and moved on to the next letter, which was from Remus, though he did take note that there was a second letter from Sirius which was hidden in the envelope. Harry contemplated on which letter to read first until he finally decided to read Sirius' letter first, and then read Remus'.

Dear Pup,

I'm glad to learn that Elizabeth reached out to you, as I was quite curious as to why you didn't mention her when we were briefly together last year. Granted we didn't have enough time for you to tell me if you had any interactions with your godmother, but I still found it odd. Even Remus later told me that even though you spent a good part of a year with him as your professor, you never mentioned Elizabeth to him, nor did he see you and Daphne spend time together. It wasn't until your letter that I finally understood why: Dumbledore.

It's no surprise to me that the same man who allowed me to rot in Azkaban and condemn you to a life of misery with the Dursleys denied you the right to know about your godmother. I don't know why, but for some reason, Dumbledore was keen on keeping you separated from your honorary family. I'm pretty sure Remus will tell you himself, but when Dumbledore placed you with the Dursleys, he told Remus that he wasn't allowed to see you, because he was "concerned for your safety". A bunch of bull I say; he seems more keen on keeping you under his thumb for some reason.

Regardless, Harry, I want you to take some time, and enjoy being with your godmother, and your pretty little bird. Remus and I were there when your parents signed the betrothal contract with hers, as witnesses, so we were aware of the betrothal, but I'll let Remus explain why he didn't say anything to you about it. Needless to say pup, both Remus and I carry a lot of regrets when it comes to you, mostly in regards to the fact that we weren't there for you when we should've been, and that Remus let Dumbledore decide for him to not be in your life for him. Rest assured Harry, these are regrets that we intend to fix, especially since I am trying to get an application for a proper trial through Amelia Bones, the current head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, to prove my innocence; though I think it's very possible that someone, either Dumbledore or someone in the Ministry, is intercepting my letters to Madam Bones cause I haven't received any replies from her.

Anyways Harry, in regards to your concerns about Wormtail knowing about your godmother, or your betrothed, let me assure you that there's no need to worry. Pettigrew wasn't as close to any of Lily's friends as James, Remus, and I were, so I don't think he was even aware of Elizabeth being chosen as your godmother. As for your betrothal to Daphne, that was kept strictly as a secret between your parents, Daphne's parents, myself, Remus, Amelia Bones who officiated the signing of the contract, and the Gringotts Bank representative; so there is no chance of anyone outside that specific group of people knowing about the contract unless one of us had the approval of the others to tell anyone else. Remus and I had talked with James and Lily about telling Peter about it, but Elizabeth stepped in and said that she wanted to keep the contract just between us since it was strictly Potter and Greengrass business; and Cyrus, Lily, and James agreed with her, deciding to keep the contract as a secret denied even to Peter. Admittedly Remus and I didn't exactly like keeping Peter in the dark about the contract, but looking back now, I'm glad that Elizabeth stopped us, given what happened with your parents, me being framed and sent to Azkaban, and Peter going into hiding in his rat form with the Weasleys.

Anyway, I will stop here and let you enjoy the rest of your time with Elizabeth, the Greengrasses, and your betrothed. Make sure to treat her right Harry, cause if she ends up being anything like her mother, Daphne Greengrass will undoubtedly be a keeper. I wonder if Cyrus and Elizabeth will consider allowing me to stay in their manor, just so that I don't have to continuously be on the run, and will have a roof over my head.

Love your Godfather,

Sirius Orion Black

Harry read over the letter from Sirius, and put it down, before giving out a relieved sigh. Ever since he had learned about his godmother from Daphne, he had been concerned about whether or not Pettigrew had known about his godmother and Daphne. Thankfully, he wouldn't have to worry about it, as Sirius had assured him in the letter that Pettigrew knew NOTHING about Elizabeth or Daphne.

Just as he did with the Weasley's letter, Harry set down the letter from Sirius (while also sliding it over to his godmother, giving her unspoken permission to read the letter for herself), and opened Remus' letter. Given that he had asked nearly the same questions to Remus as he did Sirius, Harry expected to see the same answers.

Dear Harry,

I am certain that Sirius has already told you how proud he was that you've made contact with Elizabeth Greengrass, but I will come out and say that I am proud as well. Though I will admit that I am surprised that you never had any form of contact with her for as long as you did, but then again when I learned that you lived with your Muggle aunt, I suppose it would make some sense for why you never had any contact with Elizabeth, but the fact that you didn't socialize with your godsisters Daphne and Astoria, was an odd fact that I noticed as I was teaching DADA. When I brought it up to Dumbledore, he claimed that you wanted nothing to do with either Daphne, Astoria, or Elizabeth, which I had a very hard time believing, so I went to McGonagall for answers. She explained that she had seen Daphne and Astoria try to approach you, especially this recent school year, but Dumbledore for some reason managed to intercept them, and kept them away from you; something that concerned the both of us greatly.

Anyway, in regards to your questions: yes I did know that Elizabeth was your godmother, but I didn't say anything about her because you never asked about her, nor did you mention her, so I thought perhaps it was best not to say anything; in retrospect now, I wish I decided to say something, as it would've given you more time to get to know them, sorry Harry. I was also aware of your betrothal to Daphne, as I was a witness to the signing between your parents, and Daphne's, and I should also take the time to assure you that Peter was not privy to the knowledge of the contract. You can thank your godmother for that because she didn't like nor trusted Peter for some reason, though considering what he did, looking back now I finally understand that she somehow suspected something that neither Sirius, James, Lily, or even I didn't see coming. I wish we had been more aware of Peter's behavior like Elizabeth was, but what's done is done.

Anyway, I also wanted to let you know that I will be coming by to visit for your birthday, as a way to catch up on the many birthdays that I missed in your life. Please let me know if you're going to have your birthday at Greengrass Manor, or the Weasley's, so I know where to go. In the meantime, have fun with your godmother and your betrothed, Cub.

Love, Remus

Harry smiled at Remus' letter, knowing that had things turned out differently, he would've been raised either by Elizabeth or Remus. He was beginning to suspect that Dumbledore had intervened in his placement with Aunt Petunia, but for what reason he didn't know. He also couldn't help but wonder why Dumbledore had forbidden Remus from visiting Harry, and why he did not know Elizabeth, Daphne, and the rest of the Greengrass family, much less his allegiances with the Davis, and Zabini families. Hopefully, he could find some answers, but nevertheless, he would enjoy having Remus over for his birthday.

He looked at his godmother, who was sharing his letter from Sirius with Cyrus, and noted that they both looked concerned. He did not doubt that much of what Sirius said in his letter was what they were concerned over, but he chose to wait until they decided to talk about it and turned to his breakfast. As he waited for them, Daphne walked into the room, her hair not quite straight as it normally was, but he understood that it was mainly because she had just woken up.

"Morning." She mumbled, clearly signaling Harry that she wasn't a morning person.

"Morning Daph," Harry replied, making sure to not say anything about her bed hair.

Daphne grabbed a few eggs and pancakes and put them on her plate. As she poured a decent amount of syrup on the pancakes, Harry took a bite out of the waffles that he had placed on his plate. As they ate, Daphne turned to Harry.

"So what're your plans for today Harry?" Daphne asked as she dabbed some syrup off her lips.

Harry looked at his betrothed and looked towards his godmother, who was deep in conversation with Cyrus.

"Well, from what I know, Aunt Elizabeth is taking me to Gringotts," Harry started, looking back at Daphne. "And see if my parents left behind a Will in their death. If they did, then as the primary beneficiary, I could request for the Will to be read, and see if I can find out why it wasn't read directly after their deaths, or when I visited Gringotts the first time when I was eleven, with Hagrid."

Daphne nodded her head, indicating that she understood what Harry was saying. As she looked towards her parents, she took note that her father was writing a letter, though to who she wasn't aware of. Nevertheless, she had thought about what Harry told her, and decided that she wouldn't let him go through it alone.

"Would it be alright if I went along?" She asked, looking from Harry to her mother, and back again. "I could help provide some moral support for you if you'd like. Plus as your betrothed, my place is by your side, to support you in anything and everything you venture to do."

Harry thought about Daphne's offer, and appreciated it, but wasn't sure whether or not to accept it. He looked at Elizabeth, who simply nodded her head, indicating that it was alright with her. Harry looked at the sapphire blue eyes that stared into his emerald green and nodded his head.

"Sure Daph, I'd appreciate it, if you came along." Harry replied to his betrothed, a smile on his face.

Daphne smiled back, and took hold of Harry's hand, as she looked into his eyes. At that moment, she heard her father calling out for their male House-Elf. She watched as Anakin appeared, and her father handed him the letter that he wrote.

"Anakin, see if you can find Sirius Black, and deliver this letter to him." Cyrus instructed, receiving a nod from the House-Elf, who took the letter and popped away.

At that moment, a female house-elf came in, walking up to Elizabeth.

"Pardon me, Mistress," The elf said, dipping in respect. "But the Floo is ready for you, whenever you're ready to go to Diagon Alley."

Elizabeth smiled at the female house-elf, as she patted her on the head.

"Thank you Padme, Harry, Daphne, and I will be leaving soon," Elizabeth replied, as Padme, the House-Elf dipped again, and then looked back at the two teenagers. "Finish eating up you two, we'll be leaving soon."

The two teens nodded, as they went to finish their food when they heard Cyrus instruct Padme to take another letter he had written, this time for Remus. They listened to him instructing Padme to take the letter to the werewolf and to bring him to Greengrass Manor, where he could get the proper help he needed, from his family. When Padme nodded her head, took the letter, and popped away, Cyrus looked up to see the eyes of Harry and Daphne looking at him.

"I failed to help my friends a long time ago, and this time, I will not fail them further," Cyrus explained, as his eyes became almost glossy as if he was thinking of a different time. "Even though Pettigrew betrayed our trust, the Marauders never turn their backs on each other. Sirius and Remus are the only true friends I have left of our little group, and I will not fail them further."

Harry smiled at his Uncle, understanding where he was coming from. In the grief from the loss of Lily and James Potter, Cyrus had accidentally forgotten Sirius and Remus, but now he wasn't going to forget them any further. He was going to do what he could to help his two remaining friends.

"Well, as much as I would like to continue this little discussion, I think it would be best for us to get going," Elizabeth said, as she dabbed her lips with a napkin. "The Goblins aren't exactly known for their patience when waiting for a client when they have an appointment."

Harry and Daphne nodded, getting up from their chairs, and followed her to the Floo, where they each took a pinch of Floo Powder. Although he understood that this would be a quick means of travel, Harry wasn't looking forward to using the Floo, as he still remembered the first time he tried it.

"Harry, since we're going to Gringotts for you, perhaps you should go first," Elizabeth said, a small encouraging smile on her face. "Just say the Leaky Cauldron, as clear as you can, and wait for Daphne and me to join you."

Harry nodded his head, understanding what she was saying, and proceeded to step into the fireplace, he held his hand out and released it. As the flames turned emerald green, he gave his location.

"THE LEAKY CAULDRON!" He shouted clearly and felt the familiar sensation of traveling through the Floo system, on his way to Gringotts.
