Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the thief and the girl who walked on fire. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own RWBY, Monty Oum and Rooster Teeth do.

Cinder leaned on the wall, keeping her hands on her swords in case she needed them. She looked at the cargo ship which was guarded by at least a dozen guards who looked bored and uninvested in their activities at the moment.

"There's too many guards to fight through over there." Cinder heard from Cye as he paused to think about the next maneuver he employed. "We need to punch through that group of guards and get to the ship to get through to get out of here." Cye added to which he rubbed at his temples, curious at the moment.

"There's too much at stake for him to make a mistake like this." Cinder put in as Cye hummed, scratching his temples as he sighed and began to plan.

A straight run would get them spotted, considering this was a hanger? Cye guessed there was also turrets which would end up dicing them to pieces if he and her tried to make a run for it. He cursed it, but he guessed the increased security wouldn't have really amounted to much considering they already have this entire area locked down. They'd still be dealing with a small army either way.

"We need a distraction." Cye put in, looking over the scene and thinking of their options at the moment. "I'm thinking we make some noise, get them across the room so they leave to go patrol. We slip around and grab one of the ships, turn on autopilot, and fly out into the sky." Cye added to which he cracked his fingers, looking around the room.

He got a nod from Cinder as he hummed, rubbing at his chin as he started to slink out from the cover at the time. Cinder watched while Cye leapt behind the box and then leapt down at the second. He shook his head at the moment while turning to her.

"Come here." Cye said while put his hands on his hips, questioning if he could actually pull off a distraction. "We need to knock something over. That will get their attention well enough to actually help with getting them off us." Cye added, looking at his weapons while spinning a hand once more as he leaned on the crate, trying to calculate the next distraction.

They could knock some crates over once more. It would cause something, that could be an explosion which would cause more property damage at the second. That wasn't what he wanted to happen at the moment.

"There's got to be something we do that causes them to leave." Cye muttered, tapping his clawed fingers on the metal. "Cin, what's your semblance again? We need something to get them away from that ship so we can get out of here." Cye added to which Cinder clicked her nails together.

There was plenty of options, all of them involved hurting someone, however. Cinder didn't seem much of a problem with doing that, however. They were willing to kill them in exchange for very little at the moment, it bugged Cinder that Cye was so unwilling to fight seriously like that.

"I cannot believe you're so merciful." Cinder stated to which Cye was silent.

"Just because they are being monsters doesn't mean we have to sink to their level." Cye said, crossing his arms as he shook his head. "Besides, if we stop to hurt them like that? We're just give them more time to call in reinforcements. I do not wish to call in more soldiers and give us a longer issue to focus on." Cye stated while he slowly stood up, trying to get a better handle on the issue.

Cye's ears flickered, a small amount of sound bouncing back and forth towards his ears once more. He could hear every footstep. He knew for a fact that such people were still confident nobody would do much of anything. They didn't expect much resistance this deep into the mines. He could tell that much easily… But it was due to this they were also easy to catch off guard with enough of a skilled trick.

"You should know I hear something that might help." Cye stated as Cinder slowly stood up, curious as to how this would go. "I think I might have a plan, but there's a small chance it could backfire, keep your swords ready just in case." Cye stated, finalizing the last details when it came down to it.

"Ok then, what do you suggest?" Cinder questioned as Cye hummed, starting to best think of what happened. "Do you see that cylinder of dust over in the corner?" Cinder asked as Cye paused to question if Cinder could pull it off.

Both knew were curious, but the duo did have the inkling of a good plan or such at the moment.
