Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the thief and the girl who walked on fire. Enjoy the 5300-word chapter. I don't own RWBY, Monty Oum, and Rooster Teeth do.

Cinder looked at Cye before he rubbed his eyes before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. He was honestly letting his head spin. He'd be screaming to himself before it came down to it.

He put on autopilot; he was far more amused as of the second. There was more on the line than this. It'd be a cold day in hell before he walked away. He sighed and leaned backward in his chair before speaking.

Cye seemed to focus more on his next few words now. He seemed to look around before he yawned, he looked around as he hummed, unsure of what his next few sentences would have been, he was unsure uncertain, curious. He didn't wish to offend, yet he didn't know what to say. It all seemed to swirl together into nothing.

"Are you good? I told you that I'd not let you get left behind." Cinder heard from Cye before he sighed to himself. "There's a lot we didn't know before now. I didn't know having a partner would be as nice as this. It's nice being able to rely on something." Cinder heard as Cye crossed his arms across his chest.

She glanced at him as he seemed to be rather amused. This made her raise an eyebrow which he countered with one sentence.

"I promised you. I didn't plan on breaking that promise. That's my word when it came down to it." Cinder heard before she tilted as of the moment.

Lennix was honestly too curious as to what she wanted. This wasn't going to end anytime soon. It'd be a lot to swallow if he hadn't any real experience with this, the more he found the insanity to be interesting than not. This game hadn't ended anytime soon.

Cinder leaned back in her chair and looked out the window. She hadn't known freedom at all. This had been something odd to her at the time. She hadn't known him to at all be nice when all of this was said and done. What little she did know about this was that people like her weren't allowed to get good futures. They weren't allowed to find something worth enjoying when all of this was said and done.

This had been something that needed to be properly handled before now. if she was honestly a problem? She knew that he'd probably abandoned her before now. there was a lot more to the problem.

Cye had been a lot more curious as of the time being. Who had this girl been that made him so unwilling to adapt? To understand how the game was played and dance to the tone she wanted.

Still? there was a lot more questioning as of the time being. This had been something that needed to be done before now.

Who had this woman been? What had her story been? What was he to say or do as of the time being? This had been something that needed to be dealt with… Now? he simply wanted to understand where she had come from.

Something had driven her to be this way. Not just a monstrous woman who could stand against the world. It had been something that needed to be done for the time being. whatever little thing that had been smoldering in the depths of the insanity? Well? That had been something that needed to be done for the time being. She had known something for the time being. whatever little when it came down to it.

She had been a lot more to do something as of the time being. He wanted to know what had been on this woman's mind. Whatever he had been perhaps guessing was probably far off from the truth in his mind. It had been something that needed to be dealt with either blasted way and he knew more than anything that this was simply more than anything.

He cleared his throat before tilting his head to the side sighing and ran a hand through his head before it came down to it. This had been a lot more ready to come down to it. He ran a hand through his dirty and misshapen hair. There was a lot more to say and do before it came down to it. This had been something that had been a lot more

"What are you going to do next?" Cye asked before he cleared his throat towards her for a second. "There's a lot of places when it comes down to it you could do. This had been something when it comes down to it." Cye stated before he rubbed at his chin before he cracked his fingers.

Cye had a lot more to see to do next before it came down to this. There was a lot more to do next. He crossed his hands across his chest, confused.

"I don't know…" Cinder stated to Cye as he hummed and sighed to himself.

"Do you seriously think I'm going to abandon you? If I was? wouldn't I have just pushed you out the side and called it a day? wouldn't I?" Cye asked as he pushed the autopilot button. "I don't care about backstabbing anyone. I care we left a bunch of people back there that went through that… I'll be 1000% honest with you. If I did? You'd be out the door." Cye stated before he sighed to himself and looked around the area as he seemed to tilt his head.

Cinder sighed to herself as she sighed before pulling her knees to her chest. She had fallen silent for a while, burying her head into her knees as she turned and looked around.

Cye sighed as well and leaned backward, interested in what to say… In what to do. The ideas that rumbled through his head had been a lot worse than what he considered. Yet? It had been something odd as of now, an enigma to see any of that.

It had been a few seconds before he finally decided to try and speak, honestly thrown off by now about what to say or do. The idea had little promise to him for now. it had been something neat and exciting for him at the moment.

"I didn't come from a place that cares about trash like me, Cye." Cinder said as she frowned and shook her head. "I'm not their daughter. I'm just trash that got dropped on their doorstep. They tried to care, but they didn't in the end. I was a nobody to them. It just tells them that I was trash that hadn't been thrown away yet." Cinder added to which Cye hummed.

"Being what someone thinks you are doesn't make you it," Cye said as he frowned and looked down. "I've been a scavenger for so long," Cye said as he looked around the room with interest.

"Why do you think it's so easy to become hated here? Every single person wants to see the bad in you. ALL of them. It doesn't make you the monster they want. Only if you embrace it does it make it that way." Cobalt stated as he frowned to himself with a sigh as he did so.

He fell silent. It was oddly something that made him clear his throat. He knew more than anything just how odd and off-putting this had been to him and the others… It oddly seemed as if he had nothing to lose, nothing at all to win or lose from this.

Cobalt had oddly been thrown out for now… All too oddly thrown out as of now. He had been oh so thrown off about this, oddly interested in this for now despite his best efforts and his best attempts to throw himself before this came to it.

There was a lot more to this as of the time being. He knew more than when it came down to it. there was a lot more to discuss, more to dwell, and consider for now when it came down to it. There was a lot more to this game when all of it was said and done, they had a lot more to properly fix when it came down to it.

Still? if anything? He had a lot more to focus on when it seemed to be decided when it came down to it. There was a lot more to handle. He still had a lot more words inside of this.

"If I valued you so little? I'd have killed you the second it was convenient. Let's do the smart thing. If I wanted you dead? Why didn't I just kill you when we found you at the hangar? Wouldn't the smart thing be to leave you for this? The idea of the matter simply being I don't have much in the way of throwing you to the wolves…" Cinder heard as Cye hummed.

He knew for a fact that she'd be an enemy sooner or later. He had more to do when this was done and dusted. If anything? He hadn't probably faced this properly. He still had more to handle and would have done it.

She was special, but she hated the idea that he viewed her in any singular way besides contempt. That told him all he needed to be doing to handle this. The move was easy, he had a lot more to focus on to bring this all crashing down. The only way he could properly handle this was if she attacked as of now, what else was how he had been there for now?

They had more to properly handle for now. getting them as far away as possible from Solitas before this ship either ran out of fuel or was shot down was one of them was able to reach where they had to be.

There were also more nightmares when it seemed to be over with. The problems hadn't yet ended and it wasn't as if they were going to escape anytime soon. They had more to handle before long. A lot more to consider when was all over with.

Still? He was dealing with the problems with this when it had been all done.

"I don't trust easily, not when so much happens." Cinder stated to which he shrugged.

"I don't expect you to… There's too much at stake for you to do anything at all." Cye stated before he sighed to himself, unsure of what to do next. "And I don't want you to notice just what had been done to fix this. There was a lot more to be done, a lot more that hadn't yet fully been prepared for now." Cye stated as he sighed, unprepared fully for their next idea.

"And what will happen next?" Cinder asked as Cye hummed to himself, unsure of what the next move would bring.

"I don't know, but I do know that us getting out of here is the best idea if we don't get out of here soon," Cye stated while he hummed, rubbing at his eyes, unsure of how this would go for now.

Cye knew more than her what was coming, more than her that more would come next.

There was more to do when it prepared for the time. He still felt unsure of what to do next. He smiled as he looked at the controls, leaning back at the time.

Still? they had an escape to make, a lot more of an escape sooner or later when it came down to it. He hummed and rubbed his temples. This entire thing hurt more than it seemed and at the end of the day? well, it made him scream to know what had happened to come next to it. There was more to this, a lot more. He hadn't the time or effort to come to persuade it. The nightmare was focusing more on what came next. He had a lot and was prepared more for this than what came next. The idea had been coming faster and faster.

Cinder didn't know what else may or may not come. She knew he wasn't trying to hurt her. He knew that she wasn't going to be able to do much, not much else may or may not be done, there was a lot more only so much he could do to have helped her.

He didn't know what he was doing, he didn't know what she was, only that she was scared and there was a lot more training on what to focus on for now. He knew something else may or may not be done… And yet? He was worried for her.

And she hated it, hated that she may be wrong to doubt him, that there was more upon the line.

Still? Cinder was too tired, too unsure of what to focus upon. Yet? She constantly drove herself to the ground.

Yet? He was too tired upon now, too unsure of what she may or may not do. He didn't know what type of ship she was running… And he couldn't have known what she may have been doing for now.

Yet? Part of his mind ached as he tried to process it and failed. He didn't know what to focus on at the time. There was a lot more to question, a lot more to have focused upon, but he didn't know what she'd do or how he'd act.

He could only sigh and focus now. There was a lot more to have done. There was a lot more to do for the time, there was a lot more to do as he looked at her before now what to question for now the time.

He could only understand what to focus on before now. There was more on the line while she tilted his head.

"If you think I hate you? Tell me. I want you to tell me for now. I want you to tell me now. I'm not going to fight you, but I will not fight you." Cinder said while he hummed, tilting his head while he asked himself mentally what to do on before he seemed to understand now.

He seemed to hope on before now. There was a lot more to handle before he pondered as of the now. He seemed to hum, looking up at her.

"There's a lot of bad things that have happened to me. A lot of people hated me back where I was." Cinder said to which Cye raised an eyebrow at her.

"If I hated her? I would have just thrown you from this ship, sent you crashing to the pavement, wouldn't have cost me anything, you know." Cye added.

"I'm not used to people being in such a state." Cinder stated to which Cye sighed.

"If you were going to kill ME rather than the other way around? Why didn't you? It would have been so easy to have stabbed me and left me behind for the guards to deal with." Cye said as Cinder tucked her legs to her chest. It had been something far odder than before.

"We're… A team?" Cinder stated to which Cye nodded to which she smiled. "Then where do we go next?" Cinder asked as Cye hummed.

"Mistral. That's the furthest the ship will go. Then? We have to keep moving. If we're not criminals… Though I doubt the SDC will report this since it'd make them look bad?" Cye said before he leaned back in his chair. "Well, we're in the clear when we get there. Long as we get a new set of clothes, make sure they don't recognize us. We should be good to go for now." Cye stated as Cinder put her feet on the dashboard.

"You know? If we're partners? We're going to have to trust each other." Cinder heard from Cye as he sighed, rubbing his eyes. "So, tell me about yourself a bit, Ms. Cinder. What's your reason for wanting to run away from the horrible winter of Solitas like me? We've got plenty of time." Cye said while he rubbed at his temples.

Cinder fell and stayed silent. There were a lot more things that hadn't yet gotten off point. She was silent as of now. There were a lot worse things she could have dwelled upon. They had something else before now. They had a lot more to have done. She knew more than he that he didn't know what had happened. She was bitter, yes, but not unreasonable.

She hadn't yet pondered it for now. she didn't know what she'd do if she ever got out of that hell show. It was something she never expected with such a problem. He tilted his head, there was a lot more to question while she crossed her feet under her.

She hadn't been all decided for now. She doubted she'd have been in such a state. This had been far more than she had expected to have dealt with. It was so odd, so throwing her off as it came down the wire.

She didn't at all notice it. She didn't notice all such things or how they'd have it on their mind. It was only a matter of time before now. They had been ready; they'd be ready for it all when such things were said and done.

This wouldn't end so easily, but it had to be all said and done. It wouldn't have been so easy. On the path, they had walked? Well, no easy answer remained. None to which they had shaped their destiny as of the time being. it was a lot worse now.

He hadn't gotten where he should have gotten before now. This was a lot more to have to do, for now, they had more on their mind… He didn't know what to have to talk to her about. He was quiet as he seemed to run his fingers through his hair.

"Cin?" Cye questioned before Cinder turned to him. "What was life like before we met a few days ago?" Cye asked before he clicked his jaws.

"Why do you want to talk about it?" Cinder stated to which she seemed to question what had been going on. "It's a very long story. We both know how long this trip might be. I'm sure this will be all done for now." Cinder stated to which she found herself unsure what seemed to have been done.

He seemed to question what to tell her as he watched her run a finger around her neck. She tilted her head to the side and then tapped on the window, Cinder watched both the snow and sleet slowly start to fall downwards.

There was a lot more to question. She seemed to have gotten on her mind as she leaned away before she spoke more… Such a thing had made her more and more confident in such a situation.

"What exactly do you expect to have happened? Because I don't think you know what's going to have happened." Cinder stated while she looked down at the floor before he sighed.

"You don't want to think about it or you don't want to remember it? Because either is fine, but I do want to point out that none of us are going anywhere. Trust me, if it was that easy to get out of us?" Cye said to which she sighed.

"All right… She was horrible to me; my mother was the worst woman that has ever walked this planet." Cinder said before she sighed.

"Then I'm going to guess WAS means…?" Cye said before Cinder shook her head and planted her chin in her hands.

"If she was dead? I'd not be able to relax." Cinder said before she sighed. "No, she's still alive. She and her horrible daughters who pretended to have been my sisters." Cinder said while she hummed.

"Then you ran away because they called the police as soon as you stopped letting them hurt you, didn't you?" Cye said to which she nodded.

"How the hell did you know that?" Cinder questioned to which Cye chuckled.

"Because you just admitted to it," Cye said before he sighed, clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth. "It's not hard to put together. There are so many people in Atlas who get treated like crappy trash because their expendable. Trust me. I know point blank what's going to have been happening, it happens so frequently that I don't know what will happen if anything else." Cye said before he sighed.

He didn't know to have told himself before now. It just hadn't yet gotten there for now. he didn't know what it was like for now. There was more on the line than before, it shouldn't have happened for now.

He leaned back in his seat which was at least one or two sizes bigger than him. Cinder glanced at him, prepared for now. He hadn't yet gotten his words together and yet here they were running off in a stolen ship to another country.

'Great job, Cye. A really good way to go. Now you're talking to a 15-year-old girl who's got no direction in her life and has severe trust issues. You're doing damn fine with this for now.' Cye stated mentally before he sighed to himself and clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth.

"Are you ok?" Cinder asked to which Cye shook his head and looked around the cabin as she huddled towards him.

"No, not really. My head hurts, Cin." Cinder heard as she nodded and looked around before she rubbed her hands together. "Maybe there's a blanket or something in the back. I think there's a sheet to go over the Dust." Cinder heard Cye state before he tilted his head with interest.

He knew for a fact that more and more such was coming to his mind. There was something else on my mind that hadn't yet gotten anywhere anytime soon

He sighed as Cinder kicked her feet off the console and slowly started to walk towards the console where there was more in the back when it came down to it. she needed the warmth of the room in the back.

"You sure you're ok, Cin?" Cye asked as he slowly cracked his fingers. "I'm ok to talk when this is all over with," Cye stated before he sighed and slowly leaned up in his seat before pushing himself to his feet.

"No, but thank you for asking me," Cye stated before he clicked her fingers and looked around with amusement.

"There's so much more to do when we get there. We're going to have to move fast, fade into the forest, and get the ship's registry and ID changed." Cye said while he rubbed at his temples. "I'd get some sleep; I'm going to find us somewhere to have to rest," Cye said while he clicked his fingers against his side.

"Are you sure?" Cinder prodded to which Cye looked around with such amusement that he hadn't been able to have relaxed for quite a bit.

There was an element of relaxation in the mind, something that he could have done for this moment.

It didn't mean much, all that meant they had been relaxing for now. They'd not have the ability to have relaxed for now. There was so much he could have said and done that hadn't yet gotten anywhere anytime soon. There was a lot more to this when it all came to a close.

He didn't wish to have found the peace he could have, anything else would have been too much for him, something he wasn't yet entirely prepared for as of now. He knew more than to get it over with when it all came down to it.

He hadn't yet been questioning when they had been done with it. Cye seemed to have been a lot more to understand for now at the end of the day. He seemed to be held off when it was all over for now when it was all over.

"We don't even know what's going to happen. I don't know what will happen when it's all over." Cye stated before he hummed to himself and started to best think of what was to come and how else to have done it.

He was perturbed by her behavior. Maybe it was just because he didn't entirely know what was coming and how he'd get it done, maybe it was partly for now when it hummed to herself.

"Are you going to be ok, Cin? We still have talked about it when it comes down to it." Cinder heard as she frowned before she looked around.

There was a lot more to consider. She was an odd little woman when it comes down to it. She was so perturbed for now and thrown off for now. She hadn't yet at all seemed to question to have been involved in these manners before he sighed to herself.

"We don't know what's going to happen, isn't it? I don't know what to have to do next when we get there, Cye. I'm not sure what to think if anything." Cinder stated to which she hummed as Cye started to climb to his feet and looked at her.

"What will happen next?" Cinder asked as he frowned at her.

"I don't know if I'm honest," Cye stated before he shook his head. "Are you sure you're going to be, ok? I'm here if you need me. I don't want to pry, but you seem pretty cross before now." Cye stated before he shook his head and looked before he hummed.

"We can't go back, we're never going to have to go back there," Cye stated before he shook his head and sighed, and looked at her.

"This was never going to be easy, Cin. I do want to point to the question. What's bothering you? You already know what's going on, we both are aware when we seemed to have to get on." Cye stated before he questioned before he sighed and ran his hands down his hair on either side of him.

"We both have a horrid little thing." Cinder said as she took a seat next to him. "As I told you, my family when it was all done? I'm going to cut them down if I ever see them again." Cinder stated before she frowned and looked down at her knees, angry and annoyed at the same time.

He didn't know for now what Cinder was like, her goals, her ambitions, anything he wished to have focused upon for now.

Their goals, their inspirations were something else, something simply beyond his ideals. He didn't understand her, didn't get to grasp what made her tick or such… If he was honest? Cye was worried before now which meant that they had more to discuss.

Cye pushed himself up from his seat and towards her, pushing the autopilot once more as he did so. Cinder slid down the wall and looked around the ship's hull. He didn't know what would have been done before he seemed to have to think of a plan.

He questioned what to do next. He pressed a hand to her shoulder to which she winced at the moment. He pondered if there was anything to discuss for the time being.

"Cin, easy… Unless you need to think about what that woman is going to do?" Cye stated before he shook his head and looked around the room. "We don't get to deal with them, we aren't going to deal with a lot more problems, not yet," Cye stated before he shook his head.

Cinder looked up at him, amber eyes full of hatred and anger, but also warmth and a longing to not be a monster.

"I'm scared…" Cinder stated before he tilted his head. "Scared a lot." Cinder stated as he looked around.

"Of me?" Cye asked to which she shook her head.

"Of me." Cinder said before she looked around the room. "I've hurt them. They were bad, but I hurt them and now I think I might hurt someone." Cinder added as Cye sighed and fell silent.

He rubbed at his temples and then slid back down to the ground beside her, looking at her with friendship.

"Cin? You're not a monster, a monster would have killed them." Cye added before he shook his head and looked at her head. "You wanted to kill them but you didn't, you wanted to hurt them, but you didn't finish the job. Trust me. I've seen bad people before; I've even fought the rest of them or some of them… If you were one of them? You would have killed me and I'd be just another corpse." Cye stated before he shook his head.

He wasn't going to have stopped her for the time being. There was a lot more to have to focus on than their feelings. He shook his head and only hoped to have done it better than before, better than what he could have done. It was such an odd feeling, one he felt cutting deep into him like a knife, like a bolting hot knife with lava all over it.

This was something else, something that cuts through everything in his body. He didn't at all know what to have done if she didn't forgive herself, forgive him. Yes, today would have been a lot worse if he didn't have her help on his mind, he was all too much for the seconds it took as to how this wasn't to be handled properly. It wasn't going to have to fix it for now. there were a lot more problems to solve and it was clear more than anything this wasn't going to be easy. It'd probably not be fixed so easily.

"Cin? Come sit next to me, ok? We need to talk properly, ok? You and I can do that like friends, right?" Cye asked as she nodded and looked to the side.

"Yeah." Cinder stated before she slowly picked herself up towards her seat as she seemed to get it all done and dusted.

Cinder plopped down in the seat next to her as she looked around and it was all clear that they were out of one trap and into another problem.

"Are you going to be, ok?" Cinder questioned before she looked around before as she tilted her head.

"Yes, I'm sure I'll be ok, Cin. You going to be, ok?" Cinder heard as she nodded herself. "Cin? I don't exactly need to know… But why are you so scared your life is ruined? You clearly showed you were not the girl they assumed you were. If you wanted to kill them? You'd have killed them in cold blood, but you didn't, did you? A monster wouldn't leave them alive…" Cye stated as Cinder frowned.

"I wanted to kill them." Cinder stated as Cye turned and shook his head.

"If you wanted them dead? You would have killed them and killed them in cold blood, it wasn't something you just pretend to deal with, not easy, not at all. I don't even know how to get it all together." Cye said before he sighed with annoyance.
