Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the thief and the girl who walked on Fire. Enjoy the 2800-word chapter. I do not own RWBY, Monty Oum, and Rooster Teeth do.
Cye sighed and looked over to Cinder who had been too interested in what was going to happen. She paused, running a hand down her sword as she seemed to look around, too interested in what came next.
"You tired?" Cye asked, pausing to think as he looked over his weapons.
"No," Cinder said, rubbing at her frostbitten arms and legs. "Just thrown off by this. How do you live out in the wilderness? Without supplies, without any sort of way to survive?" Cinder asked.
"Luck." Cye said before he rubbed at his nose. "Luck and a lot of skill, there is nothing besides that to try and reach in life. Anything beyond that is simply too much to have gone through. It is not easy, nor should it be considered easy. You dance through life not knowing what was going to happen next. You do it knowing what will happen when it is all said and done, you must go through life like that." Cye said while he sighed.
He could not have blamed her, not now. No, he blamed her damn family. She was a warrior or at least had the heart of one… Now? Now we have a lot to see and do.
Cye stayed silent, merely allowing the pain to be flowing over them. They had such a thing to be gifted to them. She could not be willing to do something for now.
"Hmm… You should know more and more that the Grimm are probably going to try and turn you into food, they want something to eat easily and you should know they will not go easy on anyone who is not being violent to them." Cye stated.
He watched Cinder stop, her hand hovering over her sword. She knew that the forest would take what it could not control, it would kill whatever it could get its hands on which would not be able to relax.
Perhaps it was why Cye knew now that this was not going over easy. They would fight and most likely they would need to find refuge or they would die, they would come out of it all the worse for wear.
That? All of it hurt and felt like a sword through the hip. It felt a LOT more like a hunt, like killing, they would continue to keep growing and fighting like they had been able to deal with for now.
She had been too interested in the next manner of fighting. She would slowly burn down to the ground, there was a lot more on the moment.
This was not going to be dealt with for now, it could be too interesting for them. They had another sort of mannerism for now… It could be something that needed to be done while it all came crashing to the ground.
Too much had been placed upon their next move, it could be too thrown off and it would be best thrown for a limit when it came to it at the end of the day when it came down to it.
There was a lot more on the line. This was not something for now and he clicked his fingers before he seemed to be too interested as he clicked his fingers.
He sighed, while he would have been too interested in the chaos which she had acted within…. Even then? She had been thrown off at the end of the day.
She paused to have been tired and then looked at her friend… Such an idea would cut her to pieces as she looked over to Cye before he hummed, too unable to have been familiar with it for now.
She was too invested in what was going on as she clicked her fingers as she would be too interested in what was going on as she clicked her fingers.
"There is a lot more to this, isn't there?" Cye asked before she paused to look as if she would continue to try and deal with such a thing.
"I do not know what is going on but I do know that such a thing was possible for now," Cinder stated before she seemed to be able to try and fight with them.
She would not be able to try and try and mess with it for now as she paused to try and end with such amusement for now. She was not stupid.
She was done with it for now… There was chaos brewing within her which he could not have been able to have dealt with for now or even a Little… Such things bothered the girl and she bothered to be suggested in such a way.
There was chaos that radiated out of him… Even then? Cye was not going to deal with this for now, he would not be able to relax, he would not be able to dance through it for now, and then paused, interested in it.
She looked over her sword, knowing what awaited them was something chaotic enough to have been bringing them to fruition as of now… She was exhausted and bored, thrown off in such a way that it would not be done at all.
She had a LOT more on her mind than anything like this, however. The idea of it was something he had never contemplated.
"You are held back by things like this, you know… We are going to need to hunt down everything like this." Cye stated.
"We have a LOT more to go through, all of it is chaotic, and all of it will push you," Cye stated.
He knew better. He knew whether it was worth messing with and was not capable of such a thing… Even as she went out of her way? The mere encasement of it was beyond her growth and she had been too thrown off for now as she cracked her fingers.
She would not be able to have dealt with it the same way it had been dealt with for now. it was not a very hard thing to manage, plus it made him want to scream as he knew more as he paused to think for now.
Cye knew more and more about what was to have been done with now and for good… It would not have been much but it also could not have been something he did not wish to deal with it for now.
"You should know this isn't going to be easy, nothing ever is this easy, it comes with being forced to survive," Cye stated.
He had been unable to deal with it for now, he had been familiar with it at the end of the day. He had not been familiar with it as he seemed to be preparing mentally for it.
"You shouldn't worry as much as you think," Cinder said.
"I should when I panic about trying to relax. We both know that life is not going to be easy out here… There is not going to be anything worth dealing with if we are unable to survive out here." Cinder heard from Cye.
It was not a lie. Not a lie at all and she knew it, she knew he was trying to help. Whatever little fibs she could conjure up were thrashed against the wall and shattered into small fragments like they were nothing. It managed to be far beyond whatever was being dealt with properly.
She had been too interested in what she could offer him that she did not even know what to say. They had not been delayed for now, something that would not end before now.
"What do we need to deal with? There is a list of things we must deal with and overcome, no?" Cinder stated.
"I do not know yet. There is a degree of mercy we must show ourselves, then and only then will we be able to relax. until then? We cannot let that get in the way. So? We do this by the book." Cye stated.
He sighed as he realized that no matter what? He could not have been more wrong either way. He would be wrong to throw it all away, his chops at the end of the day. He would be remiss to try and deal with it the same way he always did.
Yes, so much to have done… So little time to try and fix it and yet? He would fix it, there was more to this, to her and himself.
Cye could not have been willing to deal with it. He would not have been willing to try and figure out what was going on… So much that he would break into pieces when he pushed it further along the path than this…. He had to do better or he would break into a thousand pieces.
Whatever came then? He acted in some sort of way, knowing what would happen because of it at the very second would be good.
He had not been able to deal with it once more, whatever he did do next? He would not let it grow nor fall out of place, too interested in it all as push came to shove.
He had been familiar with her way of dealing with it as he paused. There was something to have to deal with and would deal with at the end of the moment.
"You should also know that I am not going to go easy on you if we are a team. You do the same with me, we must push the other, make sure that the other relaxes and acts like the better partner." Cye stated before he sighed.
He knew something was going on, something that would not end well, something he could not have allowed. He would not know until he acted like it… What he was to act like?
Cinder for her part simply began to try and deal with it, she scraped a stone against her blade, slowly trying to fix it the best way she could. The amusement on her face was hidden behind a veil of anger, she had not been allowed what she needed.
Cye could only question what was on her mind, she did not know what the world held and he did not know her full story now, and for good reason.
To be entirely fair? It was not like he did not want to; Cinder was an odd woman and he had no reason to doubt her as a warrior… But anything less than that seemed to be out of the question…. Whatever he had been honestly dealing with was too little and too late.
Cinder noticed that he had been quiet and wished to say something.
"Would it help if we killed some Grimm together?" Cinder asked to which Cye was silent.
"Perhaps I would believe that if I could try," Cye said before he sighed, looking to the side.
He had been put through the wringer so often that it hurt and she knew it, she knew that it would not work, it would not allow them to bond so she would try another way to figure it all out.
To be fair? He did not even know the first thing he had to do, Cye was very small in details and what little details he had known about were driving him insane… And they were doing so in a way he could not have let it all come down to it.
They had not been familiar with it lest it all come to a head either way. They had to let it all fall apart, knowing what was growing on his mind. He had to be dealt with either way as he paused to think.
Whatever did they do? It would not help; he could not allow it to help or else it might fall apart sooner or later. He had to let it deal with such an issue.
He had been fully aware of the next move he had to deal with and he was not going to let it fall apart.
All of it seemed to be dealt with for now as she paused to look downwards at the ground, there was a lot more going on, something that would come next, knowing what was as of now.
Cye would manage not for the rest of his mind seem to grasp what had gone on. He had zero ideas of what was happening next, zero clue what was going on before now… Such an idea of what would come next before it was all said and done with each little idea.
Such an idea seemed to be harder and harder with it, for now, knowing what was going on at this very moment.
Cinder hummed, tapping on her feet which still felt cold and frozen at the end of the day, something that needed to be dealt with for now when push came to shove either aside when it was all said.
The cold seemed to melt away and she hated it, she hated it for now and wished to only seem to relax. She would not be able to try and figure out what to say and to do, the chaos was too much, to begin with… The pain when either happened was going to bring him to his knees.
Cye could say nothing, do nothing and act as nothing for now, it made so much sense to have to deal with it that life seemed to be ready for now, ready to deal with it to the end.
He knew her pain but there was little to nothing he could allow to say.
To be fair? Even then? Even then it would not do, would not cease at the end of the day… There was a lot more to this, to see and to do.
There was some chaos, some pain involved in it. Cinder looked at him and he sighed before he spoke.
"Do you want to sit in the ship and we do this tomorrow when your feet aren't frozen?" Cye asked, raising an eyebrow as Cinder did so. "Ok, long as you are good. The longer we do this? The better, the better we can do this. The more chance we have." Cye stated.
Cinder nodded, slowly helping herself to her feet. She knew that it would be very soon.
Every part of Cinder felt weakened, she felt worn down and acted like she had been dipped in metal, to begin with for now. There was a horrid thing when he could not fight, not that he did not wish her to now but he fought regardless.
Cinder hummed and thought more and more of each little thing going on that would be dealt with at the end of the day, knowing what would come and go.
She was odd but so was everyone in life, it was part of a circle he could not finish a fight that was not over. That was certain and it was the crux, the end times which would cast a shadow over them all.
It was chaos, a madness which only the best could truly walk… Cinder knew who she was, she knew what she had wanted and she would not be denied it at all… There was little in that, little in what she wanted and she fought as if she had before… There was chaos that needed to be fed, to be dealt with for now and for good reason… That and all she had within her? It sang of such things which there was nothing there would end for now.
Cye sighed to himself as Cinder rested her hands on her hands and she would not rest until she mastered what she knew and what she could handle. The fight was not yet done and perhaps? It would never truly be done at all.
There was something that needed to be dealt with for now, needed to be done and dusted… If it was not? If it was opposed? There would be nothing left of them… Of the team they could build, nothing but suffering within it which needed to be dealt with for now.
This chaos? It was beyond what needed to be over with, it was beyond them all…. That and that alone told them what was going on and it told them something which needed to be understood.
That and that alone was chaos that needed to be said and done.
