For someone as hardworking as her, Aether – during their first night together – expected that she'd pull the sheets away from him at the exact moment the sun rose. However, he was proved wrong as currently, he was the only one awake. And it was noon. Turning to catch a glimpse of her back, noticing that her silk negligee had begun to slip down her shoulders, Aether wondered just who could be such a heavy sleeper – Paimon aside.
True, the mattress and the pillows were more than amazing, but the sun was out. It was blue outside, not a trace of a cloud anywhere, which allowed for ultimate heat destruction. He wouldn't be surprised if any of the longshoremen were working shirtless and– they are, they actually are... Wow, how many times did that guy work out? Those muscles... wow. Ripping his eyes from the window, Aether attempted to shake Keqing awake.
"How are you still asleep?"
For a response (if it could be called that at all), he got a bunch of useless mumbles – muffled, too, since her face wasn't even there, replaced by her hair. Now, don't get Aether wrong, the fact that he gets to cuddle with her almost every night as he had successfully changed her unhealthy work habits is amazing, but she was a very... active sleeper, so waking up without having her arm on his face was pretty cool. Trying for a second time, he shook her shoulder.
"It's my turn to cook today and I'm making shrimp balls."
Keqing turned even further away, using her hand to push away his.
"...Five more... minutes..."
A seagull thought it was a good idea to rest on the windowsill and squawk like an idiot, but somehow – despite all that, unbelievably – Keqing slept. How? Aether pushed the bird off the window with a little anemo. Wanting to test her boundaries a bit, Aether's hand snaked down her body, using his finger to graze the surface of her stomach – however, the feel of the material was so thin he swore he was outright touching her skin.
Her finger twitched a bit. That was all.
"Wake up," Aether tickled her ear, "please?"
DUN!
Through her hair, Aether could see hell itself staring at him, purely in malicious intent. The pressure was so intense Aether thought of saying he wanted to go home, but he already was, so he squeaked like a child instead. Grumbling, as if there were pins in her throat, Keqing coldly muttered, "Five. More. Minutes."
"...Ok. Good night."
I wrote this like 30 minutes ago, yet somehow, I can't manage to write 3000 words in a month. Wow. Also, I'm on my OG launch account – not the one with Keqing – and although I was wishing for Eula, I got a Qiqi. Now my last resort for a second DPS for abyss is Kaeya, and ngl, he's pretty fit. I'm kinda excited. Qiqi can now replace Kaeya for proccing superconduct with Razor.
Apparently, Xiangling is meta in China.
