Third Person POV

College Dorm Room - Night

"Don't do anything I wouldn't do." Taylor tells Lori.

Su, su su!

Travelling, halfway from the city, to see my half time girl, before the traffic comes.

She always gets annoyed, she knocks at all the boys, they play their stupid games but I'm still standing straight.

Whoa, whoa!

"There's nothing you wouldn't do." Lori says. She leaves.

We got relationship, but we're not hip to hip, or maybe side to side, just how I feel inside, but then we're toe to toe, and then the lights will blow, she kisses me good night, I take up half the bed.

That's true." Taylor says, smiling to herself.

Merry go round, rouund, go round, rouund, round over town, she gotta go so slow it might be stereo so I almost turn her down.

9 Mile Road

Lori's boyfriend's car pulls up. Standing behind the trees, there is a tall figure with a hook.

She's got the merry go round, rouund, merry go rooound,
Merry go round, rouund, go round, rouund, round over town, she gotta go so slow it might be stereo so I almost turn her down.

"I thought we were going to the party." Lori says.

Su, su, su!

Cameras make up you glamorous, and then she makes a pose like Marilyn Monroes, she's got a lot of clothes, she comes to all the shows, so she can see my friends, and hang out with your band!

"Well, we can't arrive on time." Rich says.

I wanna go with you all over town, I wanna ride in your (chariot Camero?)

I wanna say all the things I could say, I wanna tell you, I love you tomorrow.

Su, su, su!

Inside Rich's car

"You know, if I didn't know any better, I'd think you brought me here on purpose." Lori tells Rich.

"What? I'm offended." Rich says feigning shock.

"Yeah, I'm sure." Lori tells Rich sarcastically. They smile and begin to kiss. Lori's cell phone rings and they reluctantly break away. The caller ID says "Dad Calling".

"You wanna get that?" Rich asks Lori.

"Definitely not." Lori tells Rich. She shuts the ringer off. They resume kissing, and Rich put his hand under Lori's halter strap. She pulls away and moves his hand. "No." Lori tells Rich.

"It's ok." Rich tells Lori. Lori looks uncomfortable. Outside, the figure with the hook is moving slowly out from the trees. Back inside the car, Rich begins kissing Lori's neck and puts his hand back under her strap. She looks even more uncomfortable and pulls away.

"Hey, I mean it." Lori tells Rich. They hear a loud screeching noise. Outside, the man is dragging his hook along a Dead-End sign.

"What was that?" Lori asks Rich, looking around.

"I don't know." Rich tells Lori. They hear the same sound. The man is shown dragging his hook along a sign that says 9 Mile Road.

"What is that?" Rich asks. He opens the car door.

"No! Rich, no!" Lori tells Rich.

"No, just wait here." Rich tells Lori. He gets out of the car and shuts the door. Lori looks terrified. Outside, Rich is looking around when he hears more screeching. He turns to see a long scratch being made on the side of his car, but the Hook Man is invisible. "What the hell?' Rich asks.

"Rich, let's go!" Lori tells Rich. The back tire gets punctured. She screams. "Rich?" Lori calls out. She looks around, but Rich is not outside. "Rich!" Lori calls out. She rolls up the windows and locks them. "Rich, where are you?" Lori calls out. She suddenly hears scratching and banging on the roof. She screams and jumps into the backseat on the floor. The noise stops. Lori is breathing heavily. "Ok ok." Lori says. She gets out of the car and starts to run away when she turns around and sees Rich. He is suspended from a tree, upside down, above the car. Lori screams.

Lore POV

An outdoor café - Day

Sam is on a payphone., I am playing my violin for money, and Laila is painting for someone again.

"Alright, thank you for your time." Sam tells the person on the phone. He hangs up and walks back to the table. Dean is working at the laptop.

"Your, uh, half-caf, double vanilla latte is gettin' cold over here, Francis, same fore you Leonardo and Mozart, your coffee and cappuccino's getting cold." Dean tells Sam, Laila, and me.

"Bite me." Sam says and he sits down.

"Be there in just a second! I have to finish the painting." Laila tells Dean.

I just go and drink my cappuccino before heading back to the crowd, playing a bit longer.

"So, anything?" Dean asks Sam. Sam shakes his head.

"I had 'em check the FBI's Missing Persons Data Bank. No John Doe's fitting Dad's description. I even ran his plates for traffic violations." Sam tells Dean.

"Sam, I'm tellin' ya, I don't think Dad wants to be found." Dean tells Sam. Sam looks disappointed. "Check this out." Dean says. He shows Sam an article on the computer about Rich's death as I come back to the table. "It's a news item out of Planes Courier. Ankeny, Iowa. It's only about a hundred miles from here." De says.

"The mutilated body was found near the victim's car, parked on 9 Mile Road." Sam reads.

"Keep reading." Dean says.

"Authorities are unable to provide a realistic description of the killer. The sole eyewitness, whose name has been withheld, is quoted as saying the attacker was invisible." Sam reads.

"Could be something interesting." Dean tells us.

"Or it could be nothing at all. One freaked out witness who didn't see anything. Doesn't mean it's the Invisible Man." Sam tells Dean.

"But what if it is? Dad would check it out." Dean tells Sam.

"Good thing I'm done painting then. And got cash doing it." Laila says.

March 15, 2006

Fraternity - Day

Well, I'm an axe grinder

Piledriver

Mama says that I never, never mind her

Got no brains

I'm insane

The teacher says that I'm one big pain

Sam and Dean are driving, Laila and I are in the back, yet again. We stop at the fraternity where Rich lived. The other frat brothers are confused. Sam and Dean get out of the car first as we try to say we'll go to a sorority.

I'm like a laser

Six-string razor
I got a mouth like an alligator
I want it louder
More power
I'm gonna rock it till it strikes the hour

"One more time, why are we here?" Sam asks us.

Bang your head
Metal health will drive you mad
Bang your head
Metal health will drive you mad, all right

Well, I'm frustrated
Outdated
I really want to be overrated
I'm a finder
And I'm a keeper

"Victim lived here." Dean says. They walk up to some guys fixing a car. "Nice wheels." Dean tells the guys. They look at him strangely.

I'm not a loser and I ain't no weeper
I got the boys
To make the noise
Won't ever let up, hope it annoys you
Join the pack
Fill the crack
Well, now you're here, there's no way back

Bang your head
Metal health will drive you mad
Bang your head
Metal health will drive you mad

Metal health will cure your crazy
Metal health will cure your mad
Metal health is what we all need
It's like a heart attack

"We're your fraternity brothers. From Ohio. We're new in town. Transfers. Looking for a place to stay. And our blood sisters, off limits." Dean tells the frats. He grins.

Bang your head
Wake the dead
We're all metal mad
It's all you have
So bang your head
And raise the dead, oh yeah
Metal health
It drives you mad, mad, mad, mad

Bang your head
Metal health will drive you mad
Bang your head
Metal health will drive you mad

Oh, get your straightjackets on tonight, oh
The bad boys are gonna set you right
Oh rock ya, rock ya, rock ya

Bang your head
Metal health will drive you mad
Bang your head

Sam POV

Fraternity dorm room

A shirtless frat boy in yellow shorts is painting his face and body purple. Dean and I knock on his door as Lorelai and Laila bailed on me and went to the nearest sorority.

"Who are you?" the Frat boy asks.

"We're your new roommates." Dean tells him. He smiles and walks over to the boy. The boy holds the brush and paint can out to Dean.

"Do me a favor? Get my back. Big game today." Frat boy says.

"He's the artist. Things he can do with a brush." Dean says, pointing at me. Now, mortified, I take the brush and can. Dean sits on a chair and picks up a magazine. "So." Dean says. He looks at the name on the magazine, "Murph. Is it true?" Dean asks Murph.

"What?" Murph asks Dean.

"We heard one of the guys around here got killed last week." Dean says to the guy.

"Yeah." Murph says sadly.

"What happened?" I ask Murph.

"They're saying some psycho with a knife. Maybe a drifter passing through. Rich was a good guy." Murph tells us.

"Rich he was with somebody?" I ask Murph.

"Not just somebody. Lori Sorensen." Murph tells me.

"Who's Lori Sorensen?" Dean asks Murph. "You missed a spot. Just down there on the back." Dean tells me. I look and feel annoyed. Dean grins.

"Lori's a freshman. She's a local. Super hot. And get this: she's a reverend's daughter." Murph tells us.

"You wouldn't happen to know which church, would ya?" Dean asks Murph.

March 16, 2006

Inside the Church

Laila POV

"Our hearts go out to the family of a young man who perished. And my personal prayers of thanks go out as well because I believe he died trying to protect my daughter." Reverend Sorenson preaches. Lori looks embarrassed. "And now, as time heals all our wounds, we should reflect on what this tragedy means. To us, as a church." Rev. Sorenson preaches. Sam, Dean, Lorelai, and I enter and the door slams behind them. The congregation goes silent and turns to look at them "as a community, and as a family. The loss of a young person is particularly tragic. A life unlived is the saddest of passings." Rev. Sorenson preaches. Sam, Dean, Lore, and I sit down. Lori stares at Sam, and he smiles weakly at her.) "So, please, let us pray. For peace, for guidance, and for the power to protect our children." Rev. Sorenson preaches. Everyone bows their head in prayer, except Dean. Sam and Lore elbow him, and Dean, noticing everyone else, does the same.

Outside of Church

The Mass has ended.

"I can't. It's Sunday night." Lori tells Taylor.

"It's just us girls. We're gonna do tequila shots and watch Reality Bites." Taylor tells Lori.

"My dad makes dinner every Sunday night." Lori tells Taylor.

"Come on, Lori. I know this has been hard, but you are allowed to have fun." Taylor says.

"I'll try." Lori tells Taylor. Taylor rolls her eyes.

"Ok." Taylor says. They hug and Taylor leaves. Sam, Dean, Lore and I walk up to Lori.

"Are you Lori?" Sam asks Lori.

"Yeah." Lori tells Sam.

"My name is Sam. This is my brother, Dean. and my sisters, the twins Laila, and Lorelai." Sam tells Dean. Dean waves at his intro as do I, and so does Lore.

"Hi." Dean says.

"Hello." Lore says.

"Hey." I tell Lori.

"We just transferred here to the university." Sam tells Lori.

"I saw you inside." Lori tells us.

"We don't wanna bother you. We just heard about what happened and..." Sam tells Lori.

"We wanted to say how sorry we were." Dean says.

"I kind of know what you're going through. I-I saw someone... get hurt once. It's something you don't forget." Sam tells Lori. Lori nods slightly. Rev. Sorensen walks up to them.

"Dad, um, this is Sam, Dean, Laila, and Lorelai. They're new students." Lori tells her dad. Dean and Lorelai shakes the reverend's hands.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, sir. I must say, that was an inspiring sermon." Dean tells the Reverend

"Thank you very much. It's so nice to find young people who are open to the Lord's message." Rev. Sorenson says. Dean chuckles.

"Listen, uh, we're new in town, actually." Dean tells the Reverend. He and Lore lead Rev. Sorensen away from Sam, Lori and me. "And, uh, we were looking for a, um, a church group." Dean says. Lore I could see. They leave.

"Tell me, Lori. What are the police saying?" Sam asks Lori and I whack him over the head. We starts walking with her.

"Well, they don't have a lot to go on. I think they blame me for that." Lori tells us.

"What do you mean?" Sam asks Lori.

"My story. I was so scared, I guess I was "seeing things"." Lori tells us. We stop walking.

"That doesn't mean it wasn't real." Sam tells Lori. Sam and Lori look at each other for a few seconds.

"Get a room! Yuck." I tell them.

Inside the library

"So, you believe her?" Dean asks Sam and me.

"Baby, I got options, I got options
But I only want you
Baby, I got options, I got options
But I only want you"

"I do." Sam says.

"Yeah." I tell Dean.

"I know we feel so close, but your close ain't good enough
We going 'round and 'round and come back to the two of us
Everybody's talking and it sounds so loud
And even though they want me
I'm gonna let them down"

"Yeah, I think she's hot, too Sam. And c'mon Lei... you too?" Dean asks me.

"No, man, there's something in her eyes. And listen to this: she heard scratching on the roof. Found the bloody body suspended upside down over the car." Sam tells us.

"Baby, I got options, I got options
But I only want you
Baby, I got options, I got options
But I only want you
Yeah, I got a lot, you got a few
They don't compare, you know the truth
Baby, I got options, I got options
But I only want you"

"Wait, the body suspended? That sounds like the—" Dean starts to say.

"Yeah, I know, the Hook Man legend." Sam tells Dean.

"That's one of the most famous urban legends ever. You don't think that we're dealing with the Hook Man." Dean says.

"You know it feels so hard just to focus right now
But when I see your face
It all faints in the background
They only want attention
So I drown them out
You know we got a connection
I'm gonna let them down"

"Every urban legend has a source. A place where it all began." Sam tells us.

"Yeah, but what about the phantom scratches and the tire punctures and the invisible killer?" Dean asks Sam.

"Baby, I got options, I got options
But I only want you (I only want you)
Baby, I got options, I got options
But I only want you (But I only want you)
Yeah, I got a lot, you got a few
They don't compare, you know the truth
Baby, I got options, I got options
But I only want you
Yeah, I only want you"

"Well, maybe the Hook Man isn't a man at all. What if it's some kind of spirit?" Sam asks us and I groan... more studying.

"Give your heart to me, no stopping it
Give your love to me, no stopping it
Give it all to me, no stopping it, yeah
Give your heart to me, no stopping it
Give your love to me, no stopping it
Give it all to me, no stopping it, yeah

Baby, I got options, I got options
But I only want you
Baby, I got options, I got options
But I only want you
(I only want you)
Yeah, I got a lot, you got a few
They don't compare
You know the truth
Baby, I got options, I got options
But I only want you
Yeah, I only want you

Yeah, I only want you" I listen to as I love Loren Gray songs.

March 17, 2006

Lorelai POV

Dean, Sam, Laila, and I are at a table in the library. The librarian places a few big boxes in front of us.

"Here you go. Arrest records going back to 1851." the Librarian says, and I sigh. Dean blows some dust off a box and coughs.

"Thanks." De tells the Librarian.

"Ok." the librarian says. She walks away.

"So, this is how you spent four good years of your life, huh?" Dean asks Sam.

"Welcome to higher education." Sam tells Dean. We begin reading.

Hours Later

We are still looking.

"Hey, check this out. 1862. A preacher named Jacob Karns was arrested for murder. Looks like he was so angry over the red-light district in town that one night he killed 13 prostitutes. Uh, right here, "some of the deceased were found in their bed, sheets soaked with blood. Others suspended upside down from the limbs of trees as a warning against sins of the flesh." Sam reads.

"Get this, the murder weapon? Looks like the preacher lost his hand in an accident. Had it replaced with a silver hook." Dean tells us, looking at another page. Sam points to another page.

"Look where all this happened." Sam tells us. Dean reads.

"9 Mile Road." Dean reads.

"Same place where the frat boy was killed." Sam says.

"Nice job, Dr. Venkmen. Let's check it out." Dean says, impressed. Sam gathers all the research and they leave.

Third Person POV

Lori's sorority - Night

Rev. Sorenson pulls up in the driveway.

Car

"I know this is your first time really living alone since Mom died." Lori tells her dad.

"That's not it. I worry about you." Rev Sorenson tells his daughter.

"There are 22 girls in there and perfectly safe." Lori tells her dad.

"That's exactly what I'm worried about. You don't think I know what goes on in there?" Rev Sorenson asks his daughter.

"Dad, do we have to have this argument again? I'm over 18. I can live my own life." Lori tells her dad.

"Oh, which means, drinking, partying with that roommate of yours! If anything, befriend Lorelai and Laila!" Rev. Sorenson tells his daughter

"I'm an adult. I can take care of myself. Good night." Lori tells her dad. Lori gets out of the car.

"Lori. Lori, come— Lori!" Rev. Sorenson calls Lori. She slams the door and leaves.

Inside Lori's Sorority Building

Lori is walking up the stairs and stops at a girl's bedroom doorway. There is a long scratch on the wall leading up to the doorway. Inside, the girl is working at her computer. Lori ignores it and walks into her bedroom. She is about to turn on the light when she sees Taylor sleeping and stops herself.

"Taylor, you awake?" Lori asks. Taylor doesn't wake up. Lori leaves her alone and goes into her bathroom to get ready for bed.

Lore POV

9 Mile Road

Dean, Sam, Laila, and I drive up and get out of the car. Dean opens the trunk and hands Sam a rifle.

"Here you go." Dean tells Sam.

"If it is a spirit, buckshot won't do much good." Sam tells Dean and I snort at that.

"Yeah, rock salt." Dean tells Sam, glaring at us, knowing we know about the rock salt bullets. He hands it to Sam.

"Huh. Salt being a spirit deterrent." Sam says. Dean takes out a coil of rope and shuts the trunk.

"Yeah. It won't kill 'em. But it'll slow 'em down." Dean tells Sam. We start walking towards the trees.

"That's pretty good. You and Dad think of this?" Sam asks Dean.

"I told you. You don't have to be a college graduate to be a genius." Dean tells Sam. We hear noises among the trees and stop walking. Sam raises his gun and looks around.

"Over there. Over there." Dean says, whispering. Sam aims the gun and cocks it. A figure comes out from behind the trees. It is a sheriff.

"Put the gun down now! Now! Put your hands behind your head." the Sheriff tells Sam.

"W-w-wait, okay, okay!" Dean says.

"Now get down on your knees. Come on, do it! On your knees!" the Sheriff says. We get down. "Now get down on your bellies. Come on, do it!" the Sheriff tells us.

"He had the gun!" Dean tells the Sheriff as we lay down.

Lori and Taylor's bedroom.

Lori comes out of the bathroom in her pajamas, watches Taylor shift in her sleep, and gets into bed. Unknown to them in open closet, the Hook Man is seen waiting.

March 18, 2006

Sorority

Lori's Bedroom - Morning

Lori rolls over in her bed and opens her eyes. She sees a puddle of blood on the floor. She sees the blood dripping from Taylor's bed. Taylor is shown, dead. There is blood everywhere.

"Oh my God." Lori says. She screams. She looks on the wall near Taylor's bed. Written in blood are the words "Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the light?" Underneath the words is a large cross with four smaller crosses surrounding it, also written in blood. Lori screams.

Laila POV

Outside of Calumet Correctional Sheriff's Department

Dean, Sam, Lore, and I are leaving.

"Saved your ass! Talked the sheriff down to a fine. Dude, I am Matlock." Dean tells us. Well, really, it's Sam that was in trouble.

"But how?" Sam asks Dean.

"I told him you were a dumbass pledge and that we were hazing you. And that the twins were following us, trying to get you out of trouble." Dean says.

"What about the shotgun?" Sam asks Dean.

"I said that you were hunting ghosts and the spirits were repelled by rock salt. You know, typical Hell Week prank." Dean tells us and I sigh.

"And he believed you?" Sam asks Dean.

"Well, you look like a dumbass pledge." Dean tells Sam. Seconds later, several sheriffs run out of the building and speed away in police cars. Sam, Dean, Lore, and I exchange a look.

Lori's sorority building

Lori is wrapped in a blanket, sitting in the back of a parked ambulance. Sam, Dean, Lore and I drive by and look at her.

"I just want to take her home." Rev Sorenson tells the Sheriff.

"I understand that, Reverend. But Lori's now connected to two murders, and I can't ignore that." the Sheriff tells the Reverend.

"Listen to me. Arrest her now or let me take her home." Reverend Sorenson tells the Sheriff. The sheriff thinks about it for a second.

"Make sure she's available for questioning." the Sheriff tells the Reverend.

"Thank you." Rev. Sorenson says. He walks over to Lori. "Sweetheart, are you ready to go home?" Rev. Sorenson asks Lori. She stands up and starts walking with him. Dean, Sam, Lore, and I park our car on another street. We get out and walk around to the back of Lori's sorority.

Lorelai then runs to Lori and makes up a story, where she wanted to mourn our mother's death and would it be okay if she went with the Reverend and Lori.

"Of course, child." the Reverend says and Lori, Rev. Sorenson, and Lorelai leave.

"Why would the Hook Man come here? This is a long way from 9 Mile Road." Sam tells us.

"Maybe he's not haunting the scene of his crime. Maybe it's about something else." Dean says. Two sorority girls come out the side entrance of the building, but they don't see Sam, Dean or me. Sam, Dean, and I lean against the side of the house next to some bushes to hide ourselves. "Dude, sorority girls! Think we'll see a naked pillow fight?" Dean asks us and I whack upside the head with that. He turns around and sees Sam and me trying to climb onto the balcony of the house. Dean helps us up and then climbs up himself. Once we are up there, we sneak in Lori's window. Dean seems to fall on top of Sam by getting in the window.

"Oh, sorry!" Dean says.

"Be quiet." Sam tells Dean.

"You be quiet!" Dean tells Sam.

"You be quiet!" Sam tells Dean.

"You both be quiet!" I tell Sam and Dean.

Dean POV

Inside Lori's walk-in closet

Sam opens the door slightly and sees another sheriff leaving the bedroom. Sam waits until the sheriff goes downstairs and then opens the closet door. Once in Lori's bedroom, Sam, Laila and I see the writing on the wall.

"Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the light?" That's right out of the legend." Sam says as he reads what's wrote on the wall.

"Yeah, that's classic Hook Man all right." I say. I tap my nose.) "It's definitely a spirit." I tell Sam and Laila.

"Yeah, I've never smelled ozone this strong before." Sam tells us. I move over to the window. "Hey, come here." Sam tells Laila and me. We walk over to Sam. Sam points to the cross symbol beneath the writing. "Does that look familiar to you?" Sam asks us.

Sam, Laila, and I are next to the car. We are looking at a picture of the cross symbol that we found during our research.

"It's the same symbol. Seems like it is the spirit of Jacob Karns." Sam tells me.

"All right, let's find the dude's grave, salt and burn the bones, and put him down." I tell Sam.

"After execution, Jacob Karns was laid to rest in an Old North Cemetery. In an unmarked grave." Sam reads. We all look annoyed.

"Super." I say.

"Great. Just... great." Laila says.

"Ok. So, we know it's Jacob Karns. But we still don't know where he'll manifest next. Or why." Sam says.

"I'll take a wild guess about why. I think your little friend Lori has something to do with this." I tell Sam. We get in the car.

March 19, 2006

college party

I walk up to Sam.

"Hey. Been texting Bobby. Want to know how your daughters are?" Sam asks me.

"Man, you've been holding out on me. This college thing is awesome!" I tell Sammy. I wink and smile at a passing girl.

"This wasn't really my experience. And I'm guessing that's a no." Sam says.

"Let me guess. Libraries, studying, straight A's?" I ask Sam. Sam nods. "What a geek. Alright, you do your homework?" I asked Sam.

"Yeah. It was bugging me, right? So how is the Hook Man tied up with Lori? So, I think I came up with something." Sam says. He unravels a piece of paper.

"1932. Clergyman arrested for murder. 1967. Seminarian held in hippie rampage." I read.

"There's a pattern here. In both cases, the suspect was a man of religion who openly preached against immorality. And then found himself wanted for killings he claimed were the work of an invisible force. Killings carried out—get this—with a sharp instrument." Sam tells me.

"What's the connection to Lori?" I ask Sam.

"A man of religion? Who openly preaches against immorality?" Sam points out. I suddenly understand. "Except maybe this time, instead of saving the whole town, he's just trying to save his only daughter." Sam tell me.

"Reverend Sorensen. You think he's summoning the spirit?" I ask Sam.

"Maybe. Or, you know how a poltergeist can haunt a person instead of a place?" Sam points out.

"Yeah, the spirit latches onto the reverend's repressed emotions, feeds off them, yeah, okay." I say.

"Without the reverend ever even knowing it." Sam tells me.

"Either way, you should keep an eye on Lori tonight." I tell Sam. Sam nods.

"What about you?" Sam asks me. I look at an attractive blonde smiling at me by the pool table.

"I'm gonna go see if I can find that unmarked grave." I say, reluctantly. I look at the blonde again, shake my head in disappointment, and walk away.

Old North Cemetery - Night

I am looking around with a flashlight. I come across a headstone that is engraved with the cross symbol.

"Here we go." I say. I walk over to it with Laila.

Lore POV

Rev. Sorenson's House

Through the window, Sam can see Lori and her father arguing inside with me trying to get in the middle.

Dean POV

Old North Cemetery

Laila and I have been digging at the unmarked grave for a while.

"That's it. Next time, I get to watch the cute girl's house." I say just to get whacked in the head. We break through the wooden floor of the grave and see Jacob Karns' remains. "Hello, preacher." I tell the corpse. We throw our shovels aside.

Lore POV

Rev. Sorensen's House

Sam watches Rev. Sorensen turn out the light and leave the room. Lori and I come outside and sit down next to him on a bench.

"I saw you from upstairs. What are you doing here?" Lori asks Sam.

"Not being smart brother." I tease Sam.

"I'm keeping an eye on the place." Sam tells Lori. Lori looks at him. "I was worried." Sam says.

"About me?" Lori asks Sam.

"Yeah. Sorry." Sam tells Lori and I giggle.

"No, it's cool. I already called the cops." Lori jokes. She smiles. Sam laughs. "No, seriously. I think you're sweet. Which is probably why you should run away from me as fast as you can." Lori tells Sam.

"Why would you say that?" Sam asks Lori.

"It's like I'm cursed or something. People around me keep dying." Lori says.

"I think I know how you feel." Sam tells Lori.

Dean POV

Old North Cemetery

I take a few items out of my bag. I pour salt and lighter fluid on the preacher's bones then light a match.

"Goodbye, preacher." I say. I say as I throw the match into the grave and watches the bones burn into flames.

Rev. Sorensen's House

Lore POV

"No one will talk to me anymore. Except you and your siblings. The sheriff thinks I'm a suspect. And you know what my dad will say? Pray. Have faith. What does he know about faith?" Lori asks.

"I heard you guys fighting before." Sam tells Lori.

"He's seeing a woman. A married woman. I just found out. She comes to our church with her husband. I know her kids. And he talks to me about religion? About morality? It's like, on one hand, you know, just do what you want and be happy. But he taught me, raised me to believe that if you do something wrong you will get punished. I just don't know what to think anymore." Lori says. She hugs Sam. He is slightly confused, but he hugs her back. They begin to kiss but Sam pulls away. "Sam?" Lori asks.

"Lori, I can't." Sam says, as he is still not over Jess.

"That someone you lost?" Lori asks Sam. Sam stares at her. "I'm sorry." Lori says. Rev. Sorensen comes outside.

"Lori? Come inside, please." Reverend Sorensen asks Lori.

"I'll come in when I'm ready." Lori says, getting angry. Suddenly, the Hook Man appears behind Rev. Sorensen and puts his hook into his shoulder. The reverend screams and the Hook Man slams the door shut. Sam and I grab our guns and run into the house. He looks around and hears Rev. Sorensen screaming upstairs.

"No! No, please! No!" Rev Sorensen screams. Sam and I run upstairs and sees the reverend's bedroom door shutting. We runs into the bedroom and sees the Hook Man on top of Rev. Sorensen, about to put his hook into the reverend. "No! No, no!" the reverend screams. Sam and I shoot the Hook Man in the side. The Hook Man turns to Sam and me, we shoot him again. The Hook Man turns to dust and the gun blast shatters the bedroom window. Lori is running up the stairs.

"Dad! Dad!" Lori screams. She bursts through the bedroom window and kneels down next to her dad. "Okay. It's ok, Dad, it's ok. It's ok." Lori tells her dad. Sam and I watch them.

March 20, 2006

Hospital

Rev. Sorensen is in a hospital bed and Lori is standing by his side. Sam is talking to the sheriff. And I am praying for the Reverend.

"We were just talking. Then Lori's dad came out. And then he appeared." Sam tells the Sheriff.

"A big man? Carrying a weapon, some kind of hook?" the sheriff asks.

"Yes, sir." Sam tells the sheriff.

"Ever seen him before?" the sheriff asks Sam.

"No, sir." Sam tells him.

"Son, it seems every time I turn around, I'm seeing you. I suggest you try to stay out of trouble." the sheriff tells Sam. Sam nods.

"Yes, sir." Sam says. Dean, Laila, and two sheriffs are walking down the hall.

"No, it's alright, I'm with him. He's our brother." Dean says. "Hey! Brother!" Dean says to Sam (Sam and the sheriff turn to see Dean and Laila. Dean smiles and waves.

"Let them through." the sheriff says. The two sheriffs let Dean and Laila through.

"Thanks." Dean says. He, Laila, Sam, and I walk towards each other. "You ok?" Dean asks Sam and me.

"Yeah." Sam says.

"Yeah." I tell Dean.

"What the hell happened?" Dean asks us.

"Hook Man." Sam tells Dean/

"Who else?" I say.

"You saw him? Dean asks us.

"Damn right. Why didn't you torch the bones?" Sam asks Dean.

"Yeah. Who else carries a hook?" I ask Dean.

"What are you talking about, I did. You sure it's the spirit of Jacob Karns?" Dean tells us.

"It sure as hell looked like him. And that's not all. I don't think the spirit is latching on to the reverend." Sam tells Dean.

"Well, yeah, the guy wouldn't send the Hook Man after himself." Dean says.

"I think it's latching onto Lori. Last night she found out her father is having an affair with a married woman." Sam tells Dean.

"So what?" Dean asks us and I smack him upside the head for his insensitivity.

"So she's upset about it. She's upset about the immorality of it. She told me she was raised to believe that if you do something wrong, you get punished." Sam tells Dean.

"Ok, so she's conflicted. And the spirit of Preacher Karns is latching on to repress the emotions and maybe he's doing the punishing for her, huh?" Dean says, rubbing the back of his head.

"Right. Rich comes on too strong, Taylor tries to make her into a party girl, Dad has an affair." Sam tells Dean.

"Remind me not to piss this girl off. But I burned those bones, I buried them in salt, why didn't that stop him?" Dean asks us.

"You must have missed something." Sam says.

"No. I burned everything in that coffin." Dean says.

"Did you two get the hook?" Sam asks Dean and Laila.

"The hook?" Dean asks.

"It wasn't in there." Lei tells Sam.

"Well, it was the murder weapon, and in a way, it was part of him." Sam says.

"So, like the bones, the hook is a source of his power." Dean says.

"So, if we find the hook..." Sam says.

"We stop the Hook Man." we all say. We smile at each other.

Sam POV

Inside the Library

Laila, Dean, Lore, and I are looking through more papers. Laila listening to her kind of music.

I see the angels

I'll lead them to your door

There's no escape now

No mercy no more

No remorse 'cause I still remember

The smile when you tore me apart

"Here's something, I think. Logbook, Iowa State Penitentiary." Dean tells us. "Karns, Jacob. Personal affects: disposition thereof." Dean reads.

"Does it mention the hook?" I ask Dean.

I see the angels

I'll lead them to your door

There's no escape now

No mercy no more

No remorse 'cause I still remember

The smile when you tore me apart

"Yeah, maybe." Dean tells us. "Upon execution, all earthly items shall be remanded to the prisoner's house of worship, St. Barnabas Church."

Dean reads.

You took my heart

Deceived me right from the start

You showed me dreams

I wish they'd turn into real

You broke the promise

And made me realise

It was all just a lie (just a lie)

"Isn't that where Lori's father preaches?" I ask.

Sparkling angel, I couldn't see

Your dark intentions, your feelings for me

Fallen angel, tell me why

What is the reason?

The thorn in your eye

"Yeah." Dean says.

"Where Lori lives?" I ask.

I see the angels

I'll lead them to your door

There's no escape now

No mercy no more

No remorse 'cause I still remember

The smile when you tore me apart

"Maybe that's why the Hook Man has been haunting reverends and reverends' daughters for the past 200 years." Dean tells me.

"Yeah, but if the hook were at the church or Lori's house, don't you think someone might've seen it? I mean, a bloodstained, silver-handled hook?" I ask De.

You took my heart

Deceived me right from the start

You showed me dreams I wish they'd turn into real

You broke the promise

And made me realise

It was all just a lie

Could have been forever

Now we have reached the end

This world may have failed you

It doesn't give the reason why

You could have chosen a different path in life

The smile when you tore me apart

"Check the church records." Dean tells me.

You took my heart

Deceived me right from the start

You showed me dreams

I wished they'd turn into real

You broke a promise

And made me realise

It was all just a lie

Could have been forever

Now we have reached the end

Inside the library

We are still researching.

"St. Barnabas donations, 1862. Received silver-handled hook from state penitentiary. Reforged." I read. I sigh "They melted it down. Made it into something else." I say.

"Great." Lore says, sarcastically.

"Perfect." Laila says, groaning.

Outside St. Barnabas Church

Dean, Laila, Lorelai, and I park the car and get out.

"Alright, we can't take any chances. Anything silver goes in the fire." Dean tells us.

"I agree. So, Lori's still at the hospital. We'll have to break in." I say.

"Alright, take your pick." Dean tells Lore, Lei and me.

"Lore and I'll take the house." I say.

"Ok." Dean says. Lore and I begin walking towards Rev. Sorensen's house. "Hey." Dean says. I turn around. "Stay out of her underwear drawer." Dean tells me, earning him a whack from Laila. I walk away with Lorelai.

Laila POV

Inside St. Barnabas Church - Basement

Dean and I are throwing everything silver into the fire. Sam and Lore comes downstairs with a bag of things from Lori's house.

"I got everything that even looked silver." Sam tells Dean.

"You mean we?" Lorelai says.

"Better safe than sorry." Dean says. We throw everything into the fire. Suddenly, we hear footsteps above them. "Move, move." Dean tells us. He takes his gun and goes upstairs with Sam, Lore, and me.

St. Barnabas Church - Upstairs.

Dean, Sam, Lore, and I see that Lori is sitting in a pew alone, crying. Dean lowers his gun and goes back downstairs. Sam walks over to Lori.

"Lori?" Sam asks Lori.

"What are you doing here?" Lori asks Sam.

"What is it?" Sam asks Lori.

"I've been trying to understand what's been happening. Why? Now I know so I'm praying for forgiveness." Lori tells us.

"Forgiveness for what?" Sam asks Lori.

"Don't you see? I'm to blame for all this. I've read in the Bible about avenging angels." Lori tells Sam.

"Trust me, this guy—he's no angel." Sam tells Lori.

"I was so angry at my father. Part of me wanted him punished. And then he came and he punished him." Lori says.

"It's not your fault." Sam tells Lori.

"Yes, it is. I don't know how, but it is." Lori says. In the back of the church, the Hook Man appears for a moment then disappears quickly. "I killed Rich. Taylor, too. I nearly killed my father." Lori says.

"Lori..." Sam says.

"I can see it now. They didn't deserve to be punished. I do." Lori says. They hear a noise come from the front of the church. The candles at the altar blow out.

Lori, Sam, Lorelai, and I are in the church.

"Come on. We gotta go." Sam tells Lori. He leads her away and opens the door to the basement. But the Hook Man is behind it and pushes his hook through the door. "Go!" Sam tells Lori. Sam, Lori, Lorelai, and I run down the aisle and into a back room. The Hook Man follows us and smashes the glass of another door with his hook. He swings at Sam a few times but misses. The Hook Man chases the four of us around the room and finally hooks Sam in the shoulder. He screams in pain and an invisible force drags Lori on her back across the floor. Sam and Lorelai run over to her while I cock my gun. "Come on. You okay?" Sam asks Lori. The Hook Man appears and knocks Sam backwards into a wall. He gets up and maneuvers behind the Hook Man, who is standing over Lori. Dean suddenly enters with his gun raised.

"Sam, drop!" Dean tells Sam. Sam crouches down and Dean and I shoot the Hook Man once. He disappears into dust.

"I thought we got all the silver." Sam tells us.

"So did I." Dean says.

''Then why is he still here?" Sam asks.

"Well, maybe we missed something!" Dean says. We look around. Sam and Lore notice a cross necklace that Lori is wearing.

"Lori, where did you get that chain?" Sam asks Lori.

"My father gave it to me." Lori tells Sam.

"Where'd your dad get it?" Dean asks Lori.

"He said it was a church heirloom, he gave it to me when I started school." Lori says.

"Is it silver?!" Sam asks.

"Yes!" Lori says. Sam rips the chain off from around her neck. In the hallway, the Hook Man, who is now invisible, is making a long scratch on the wall. Dean turns around to look at it.

"Sam!" Dean says. Dean throws Sam and I the rifles and the rock salt and Sam tosses Dean the necklace. Dean and Lore run back downstairs. Sam and I aims the guns at the scratch that is being made and shoot. We quickly reloads the guns with rock salt.

Dean's POV

Basement

Lore and I run downstairs and throw Lori's necklace into the fire.

Laila POV

Upstairs

Sam is still loading his gun with his injured hand and shoulder while mine's loaded. The Hook Man appears and knocks the rifles out of Sam's hand and mine. Sam, Lori, and I crawl into the corner and watch the Hook Man tower over us.

Basement

In the fire, the cross pendant breaks off the chain and melts.

Upstairs

The Hook Man stops with his hook in the air. The hook melts and the rest of his body burns into nothing. Dean and Lorelai run upstairs to make sure the Hook Man is gone. They walk over to Sam, Lori, and I and give Sam and Lori a knowing look.

March 22, 2006

Outside St. Barnabus Church

Sheriffs are walking around and there is an ambulance parked outside.

Left in the darkness

Here on your own

Woke up a memory

Feeling the pain

You cannot deny it

There's nothing to say

It's all that you need to find the way

"And you saw him, too? The man with the hook?" The sheriff asks Dean.

Oh Damn, the war is coming!

Oh Damn, you feel you want it!

Oh Damn, just bring it on today!

"Yes, I told you, we all saw him. We fought him off and then he ran." Dean tells the sheriff.

"And that's all?" the sheriff asks.

You can't live without the fire

It's the heat that makes you strong

'Cause you're born to live and fight it all the way

You can hide what lies inside you

It's the only thing you know

You're embracing that, never walk away

Don't walk away

"Yeah, that's all." De says.

"Listen. You and your siblings—" the sheriff starts to say.

Don't walk away

Don't walk away

Don't walk away

"Oh, don't worry, we're leaving town." Dean tells the We walk over to his car.

Raised in this madness, you're on your own

It made you fearless, nothing to lose

Dreams are a drug here, they get in your way

That's what you need to fight day by day

Lore POV

The ambulance

Lori and I watch Sam finish getting bandaged up. I mutter about big brothers who are a pain the neck and don't know how to stay hole and healthy, without injury.

Oh Damn, the war is coming!

Oh Damn, you feel you want it!

Oh Damn, just bring it on today!

"You gonna be okay?" Lori asks Sam.

"Yeah." Sam says. Back at the car, Dean and Laila are watching Sam and Lori through Dean's side view mirror.

You can't live without the fire

It's the heat that makes you strong

'Cause you're born to live and fight it all the way

You can hide what lies inside you

It's the only thing you know

You're embracing that, never walk away

Don't walk away

"I still don't know what happened. But I do know you saved my life. My father's, too. Thank you." Lori says Sam nods and smiles. Dean watches through the mirror and notices Sam just walks away without another word. Sam and I walk to the car and gets in.

You need not to fear us

unless you're a dark heart

a vile one, who preys on the innocent

I promise, you can't hide forever in the empty darkness

for we'll hunt you down like the animals you are

and pull you in the very bowels of hell

Oh Damn, the war is coming!

Oh Damn, you feel you want it!

Oh Damn, just bring it on today!

"We could stay." Dean says. Sam shakes his head. Dean watches Lori looking sad, through the mirror. He shakes his head in disappointment and drives away.

You can't live without the fire

It's the heat that makes you strong

'Cause you're born to live and fight it all the way

You can hide what lies inside you

It's the only thing you know

You're embracing that, never walk away

Don't walk away

Don't walk away

Don't walk away

Don't walk away
