AN: Has nothing to do... GO STAN STRAY KIDS! (Kpop girlies where you at?)
But now wasn't a time for chit chat. The foam was slowly enveloping the furniture, not even sparing the TV.
Flora started panicking. She could only imagine her mother's reaction. She quickly ran up to her room, saving a few things including her tea set and Miele's belongings, before starting to clean. Riven, meanwhile, adventured into the basement, pushing foam away with his bare hands. Ugh, all he was doing for Musa to be safe, he told himself.
On the other side though, Musa wasn't so happy, even less safe.
"Helia, I've had enough! Your sister died, okay, get over it!"
She was cornered in a small alley, as the boy picked on her, waiting for his henchmen to come.
"If you ever say a word to Flora about any of this…", he threatened, walking closer.
"I already told her! I-"
"But she didn't believe you, right?"
"I... fuck off!"
That's when many shadows joined the game, and Musa knew it was over.
Screams. Only screams.
But then what could she do? All of her life Musa was told she was nothing. When her mother used to work as a maid for the Dellor family, slurs were often used by Bloom. Riven would defend her, until one day, where everything changed.
"What do you think you're doing?", taunted Bloom as she caught the girl red handed. "These are family jewels. Don't tell me you were…"
The raven-haired girl pleaded for forgiveness, signaling for the redhead to keep silent.
"Riven! Look at what your little girlfriend's doing! She's just a thief."
Just a thief. Musa hated this word. It meant liar, coward, and all the synonyms. It meant everything she didn't want to be.
That night, when Riven walked into the room, Musa wanted to die. There was already tension since the Millie incident, in which the boy took her side, but now…
"I… I just wanted to buy you a present, since it's your birthday and-"
Sometimes silence was a worse punishment.
Musa didn't want to go home. When she did arrive, though, her mother was calmer than she thought.
"Mom, I'm sorry…"
"Shush, I'm not even that angry. I was about to resign anyways. It's a good thing I caught M. Laureville's eye."
"What do you mean, mom? That guy that insulted our culture and called me ungraceful?"
"Forget about those. I mean, we're moving into his mansion. We had a talk yesterday and-"
"Mom… wait, what? You hate the guy!"
Her mother chuckled, seemingly in a good mood.
"But he's rich."
-
Riven quickly found a way to turn off the machine, walking up the stairs again to tell Flora.
"The laundry detergent you used is a 'prank' one."
The girl, who was cleaning, looked up.
"Well… thank you, Riven. It isn't very funny… haha."
"Are you planning on telling Aisha?"
"About what?"
The boy raised an eyebrow.
"Well… maybe she didn't know…"
"You trust people too easily.", and with that, he picked up a shovel and started cleaning alongside Flora.
"I do? Can I trust you then?", teased the girl, not knowing the pain her question caused.
Could she trust him? He wanted her to, but… after all all this was a lie.
"Maybe."
"Maybe…"
Krystal didn't know what to type after that. What could she say? She was the one who messed up. The girl's stomach ached, as she had skipped dinner. She really didn't want to face her father 1 on 1.
"Maybe we can talk it out?", she decided on sending, her hands shaking. The girl then waited, holding her phone in the air.
8:40
9:00
9:32
Still no reply.
Krystal wondered: was there a test today? Bingo… history. That's why Helia wasn't replying. His father must have been furious. She didn't want to imagine the pain he was in. Only… she was wrong.
Helia wasn't ignoring her because he was being beaten by his father, he was ignoring her out of guilt. The guilt that formed slowly as he left that alleyway, blood all over his hands. He had promised, looked deep into those crystal eyes he loved so much, and promised. But he had broken that promise, the same day, too. How could Krystal trust him after that? And why was this monster in him taking control so often? For the first time he felt like he hated himself.
"Thanks, Riven, you helped a lot! Tonight my sister was in dance class, and I really didn't know who else to call for help."
Riven looked down.
"Laine, it's fine. By the way, you can stop printing me copies, it's been a while since I took of my cast."
The girl smiled.
"Oh, that? I just enjoy doing it, we're friends after all!"
"Friends?"
"Yeah, I feel like recently we haven't talked as much, maybe we can meet up someday to work on the Acid paper?"
"I guess. I have to go."
"Bye! Thanks again!"
As soon as Flora got back to her room, she took out her phone and messages Inbloom1510. It had became a habit of hers, as they would talk all night long about all and nothing.
"Hi! You wouldn't believe what happened today."
"What happened?"
The girl smiled at the fast reply.
"My house was invaded by foam, thankfully a friend helped out. Lol."
"A friend?"
"Yeah, haha. By the way, do you have a Halloween Dance at your school as well? My girlfriends keep talking to me about it."
This time, the reply wasn't so fast.
"Yeah. Do you have a date?"
Flora chuckled happily.
"Yes! I still don't know why my crush asked me!"
"Your crush?"
"Yes!"
"Oh, have fun then."
