Here y'all go. Hope you enjoy and have a great day! DON'T FORGET TO REVIEW PLEASE. Need to know how I'm doing.
I don't own anything Star Wars but I do own my character(s)
POV: 3rd Person
After finding the redacted Jedi Master the night before Anakin called it a night and had gone to bed. He woke up the next morning early and spent the two hours he had before heading to the Library looking up Jedi Master Chulli. As for what he found during those two hours he found absolutely nothing. Master Chulli was almost as much of a ghost as the Watcher was.
The only thing he was able to find out about her was that she died only about six years after the Corellian incident. As to how she died though there was nothing, absolutely nothing on how it happened. She had been only 34 at the time of her recorded death, exceedingly young for a Mirialan.
Leaving that for what it was Anakin left his room and was made his won breakfast before leaving the room with Obi-wan. Breaking off after a couple of minutes each going their separate way. Anakin made his way to the Library and after a few minutes made it and went straight to the terminal. Loading it up he went straight to Master Chulli's file. The whole thing was Redacted and only showed where she was born, the years served in the order and her date of birth and death; nothing else. Shaking his head at the development Anakin changed it to The Watcher's file and loaded it up.
As he did so a stroke of either luck or the force happened. As he loaded up the file Master Luminara walked by him as she perused a couple of files on her datapad. Anakin didn't get the opportunity to look at what she had there but it didn't matter to him. He just wanted to know if she at least knew something about the Master Chulli.
"Master Luminara," Anakin called out to the young master. She had only recently gotten her master title and was proud of it. Still, in the arena of the force that she specialized in which was healing she knew for a fact that Skywalker cared little for it. So she stopped to see what he wanted, curiosity getting the better of her.
"Yes Padawan?" marking the spot she was reading with her finger she turned and looked at Skywalker. She was about half a head shorter than the fast growing padawan and if her medically trained eyes knew one thing he still had a little bit to grow and he would get far stronger. He just needed time to mature, both physically and mentally.
"I have to write a paper on someone for my punishment from Madam Jacosta and there was a redacted name in their file," there it was thought Luminara as she turned on her heel and walked away from the padawan. She wouldn't know who it was regard-
"Who's Master Chulli?" he blurted out before she could get more than a few steps from her. She stopped instantly and turned around to face the padawan.
"How do you know that name?" she knew for a fact that Master Chulli's records, name and accomplishment were completely scrubbed from the databanks. The only reason she knew of her was because she was Mirialan and her people kept track of those that left for the order. Especially well with during the Old Republic era.
"Madam Jacosta put a randomizer for the terminal and it gave me someone called The Watcher. Master Chulli's name was redacted where it said that he was first given the name, I looked up the conflict where he was first given the name and her name popped up. I'm just curious if you know anything about her. I've found nothing on her, she's a ghost."
Luminara took several breaths thinking about how to approach this situation. After those breaths she decided that it was not her place to make such decisions. She would leave him in the dark and inform one of the Council members that this had happened. For a randomizer to give Skywalker The Watcher of all people to research. Many on the Council would not be happy at that, she was not looking forward to being the messenger for that.
"You will need both Master Yoda and Master Windu's permission to access any of her files. However Padawan, I would suggest you don't. There is a reason her files are hidden," Luminara stated and walked away from the young padawan believing that he would follow her suggestion. If anything it spurred him to dig deeper into this. There was something here and he was too curious to allow it to be left alone now.
As she walked away from Anakin he started running through ways he could get into Master Chulli's files. Most he outright dismissed for either their improbability or his ability to do the task he thought up. After a few minutes of thinking it clicked in him on how to get access. Maybe not through the Temple but the Chancellor was still a friend; he could help Anakin find out more about her.
POV: Jericho
It was about 200 years, give or take a couple, that I found myself on Corellia watching the conflict unfold there between the Republic and the Empire. Watching from an outside view it looked as if the Republic was winning but they weren't. They weren't outnumbered but they were stretched far too thin, trying to cover every front instead of focusing where they could and hitting the Empire hard. It would sacrifice a few people in the cities and suburbs surrounding the area but it would save many more men for the conflict.
As for the Empire their general knew exactly what he was doing. He was hammering them on all sides with quick reaction forces forcing the Republic, and Jedi generals, to be constantly on the defensive. Basically, the Empire completely controlled the tone of the conflict and they were slowly pushing the Republic into a corner. It wouldn't be long until the Jedi or one of those under them made a mistake.
When they did the Empire would pounce and the Republic would never have a chance to do anything. All in all, I'd give it another two, maybe three, months before the Empire won this conflict. Unfortunately for them I couldn't really allow that to happen. The galaxy needed balance and if the Empire gained Corellia it would spell death for the Republic in 13 systems and two sectors. The balance would tip far too much in the Empire's direction so it wasn't viable.
Not to mention that access to those 13 systems would allow an almost uncontrolled recruitment process of the Sith. Most of the time they have to raid for the force sensitives but all those systems are known to produce plenty of force sensitives. Those systems are also the reason there's been rumblings of Corellia making its own Jedi Order.
There was actual credence to those rumors but I doubted they would do so yet, there needed to be a break in the order for that to happen. Not exactly uncommon but unlikely at the moment. The Empire wasn't near enough to break the Republic and the Jedi had been unified for a good while now. Then again, anything could happen but at the moment there was nothing and I had eyes everywhere.
Regardless I decided that I would help the Republic on Corellia and make sure they kept their planet. At the start I was quiet about it feeding information to several of the Republic commanders telling them when attacks would happen. When the commanders wouldn't follow the information I began feeding the information directly to Special Forces groups. They listened and when they produced results the commanders began listening as well.
It was slow going but the Republic began to begin to truly win the fight on the planet. The space battle would be raging for a long while but would stay at a standstill for at least another three months. All other reinforcements for both groups tied up in other places across the galaxy and ship yards sabotaged for another year at least. Like I said, I had eyes everywhere and when warranted I had hands available everywhere. Either way, whoever wins the planet wins space at this point.
When the commanders started listening to me though on the planet I just continued to feed them information. While giving bad or half-truth info to the Empire making sure that they had good fights but still lost; enough for it to seem that I was giving them good intel when it really wasn't. It was a rather delicate balancing act and one that I eventually failed at.
It wasn't anything that I did that failed for the information or my Network. It was good old fashioned Sith paranoia that almost did me in. The Sith, Twi'lek species, tracked me with several hired bounty hunters, the best the galaxy had to offer at tracking and they pinpointed my location for her. When they did that she had a squad of her four apprentices try and eliminate me. The Sith in charge apparently believed I was incompetent and me off the board, which was kind of a compliment when I had been impersonating her spy for almost a year at the time.
Though luck smiled upon me at the same time as Jedi Master Chulli had taken a patrol with her personal troopers near my place of residence. Which was the whole reason I had hidden myself in the small house I was in, because I didn't want them to know I was the one feeding them information. Either way, that didn't work out for me when I was just making myself some tea in the kitchen of the house.
The door to the house was blown open and four apprentices stormed in. I had my blades on me just in case Chulli decided to fight me if she found me. I wasn't expecting to face four Sith apprentices but I would make due. With my style still more suited to multiple opponents and with no force available for either side it wasn't much of a fight against the apprentices.
That being said the fight still forced me out of the house and one of them wasn't a complete imbecile and brought a blaster. Deflecting blaster bolts without the force at such close range was not easy but I still managed, if barely. Getting scorched by the grazes that I couldn't deflect but the last one I did deflect hit the big window of the house behind the one with the blaster. As the window shattered one of the glass pieces fell and sliced his hand and made him drop his blaster.
When the blaster hit the ground I kicked away the apprentice I was engaged in and ran at the blaster wielding one before tackling him through the window just as he grabbed his blaster again. Landing with my elbow on his neck slammed his windpipe closed and he began choking with no hope before I stood up, ripping his blaster away and putting a bolt in his head.
I holstered the weapon and turned to face the three remaining apprentices. Each of them looking like their hearts weren't in it anymore and I didn't blame them. The Dark Side was no longer influencing them, it no longer controlled them and even as apprentices their minds were becoming clearer. I'd seen a Sith Lord cry publicly once when I got too close to him; my ability was dangerous to Sith who didn't control the Dark and just succumbed to it. That being said that Sith Lord killed almost a fifth of the planet after I left it so I assume the bounce back is ridiculously powerful.
Still, the three appendices got their shit together and attacked me together. Still, I had 200 fighting years more than them and my style was made for situations like this. The first two went down within 30 seconds and I didn't get to kill the fourth. They were shot in the back of the head as they charged me which had me swearing under my breath as I knew who did it.
Stepping out to where they could be seen from their cover was five troopers and Jedi Master Chulli. I knew who she was and I knew she and Master Ranto had been leading the fight on Corellia. However, I had never seen a picture of her and when I did for the first time I was struck speechless. Didn't stop her from seeing me as an enemy as I had my red blades out still.
"Who are you?" she asked and her voice was like music to my ears as her purple eyes looked at me with curiosity. They shone in the sun like bright purple pearls that contrasted perfectly with her light green skin and facial tattoos. Either way, I needed to answer her.
"The one who's been giving you information for the last couple months and feeding the Empire counter intel," I saw in that moment her face twitched that she had tried to listen to the force but had been unable to because of my ability.
"Why?" I remember chuckling at her words before shaking my head at her.
"I watch the scales of balance and make sure they stay so," her eyes seemed to glow at that as she seemed to recognize my words. That's when I remembered that I had used that exact line on a Shani Jedi about half a century before. I gave the guy info to take out a drug ring selling to kids on Rodia.
"Master Devarra has been trying to find you since you gave him that information on Rodia. Talked about you all the time when he was my master," she smiled at me for the first time and even after all these years I still remember it. I knew in that moment when I saw her smile I was in trouble. And just like all the other times I knew I was in trouble I made to draw it from memory the moment I could.
"That mean you'll let me go," she seemed to think about it tapping her chin with a finger as she teasingly looked at me. Another thing that told me I was in trouble.
"Nope," she spoke in a chipper voice but I knew I wasn't getting out of here without a fight and at the moment I wasn't interested in one. If I had prepared for this fight I would have won with maybe a couple injuries but as it was now I didn't see myself winning without major injuries. If it was just Chulli I would win but her personal squad, as I noticed, were commandos and had me in a kill box. I wasn't winning this fight without the Force and I didn't have it anymore.
"So what's your plan then?"
"Well, do you want to be in cuffs or will you come peacefully?" I couldn't stop my mouth.
"I'll gladly get in cuffs if they're attached to your bed," her smile grew into a cheshire like one even as one of the commando's coughed. That's how I found myself in Republic 'custody' for about two months.
Custody was a very loose term as well since once the Commando's weren't on me I was free to come and go as I please. Not really but they couldn't really stop me, I was better at sneaking around than they were. Almost 200 years of experience just sneaking around, they couldn't hope to match me. I made sure I always returned within two days just for appearances though.
Regardless at the end of those two months I completely disappeared from the Republic radar on Corellia. That being said I continued to feed them information for another couple of months until they had truly won. The Empire had lost handedly and were cornered into a singular pocket of the planet. The Empire's armada above them had also left the system leaving them stranded and alone. Didn't stop the Sith from mounting a suicide attack but it wasn't much of an attack, they were wiped out by pin point artillery and ambushes before they were able to do much of anything.
Once the fight was over I planned on leaving Corellia but was stopped by Chulli. Who, as I found, was literally waiting on my ship for me when I planned on leaving. Not all that surprising to be honest when one realizes she told the Council about someone who hadn't aged in 50 years and was able to provide the information I could. Plus, she was a beautiful woman and we had become friendly while I was 'captured'; as friendly as I was comfortable with.
Though in that moment seeing her on my ship I knew that it was a Honey Pot plan. Using a beautiful woman to get into your brain and gain information. Too bad I was a master of this game but at the same time I was woefully unprepared for her. She wouldn't get off my ship and demanded that I take her with me saying that she wanted to see the galaxy more than what the Jedi or Republic could offer. Probably to create her own network or piggy back off mine.
Regardless, I let it happen and within a month she had beaten me. That first time in bed with her was something I still remember to this day. I don't remember all the details but I remember the way her eyes sparkled underneath me. Her teasing smile as she rode me. The way she panted when it was all over and she fell down onto my chest. Then the way she looked at me demanding another go. Almost made my heart melt at it all.
Though I still kept her away from my Network she seemed okay with that and it went on like that for almost a year. Then I found out she was pregnant. I want to say that I handled it with grace and a smile but I didn't; I fainted. She wouldn't let me live that down for months.
Still, I never expected to be a father at that time. Didn't really think of myself as worthy of a position like that but I promised myself I would do everything to raise the kid right. That being said I still did my self proclaimed job of watching the events of the galaxy and making sure everything was as balanced as it would get. Chulli enjoyed doing it with me which surprised me but I wouldn't say no to the company.
When she was outside my influence though and had connection to the force she always came back happier than when she had left the influence. I always wondered why that was but every time she said she was just making sure the Force agreed with her decisions. I never saw any lie in her and that made me happy. Happy enough one day that I trusted her with who I was and who I had been.
To find out that the man who would be the father of her child was The Serpent and over 200 years old at that was a shock to her. It seemed that in my time as The Serpent my reputation had grown larger than I originally knew. That I was a rapist, marauder, brutal slaver, inventive torturer and a class S combatant. It had not been a fun couple days after that.
Eventually she asked why I changed and I told her the story of the weapon. What happened to me and everything I've done since then. She didn't talk to me for almost a week afterwards and for being on a ship most of the time that was impressive. Still, at the end of her silence she asked me to land on the nearest planet but not leave.
She walked off from where we landed on Naboo in the grasslands and sat about 200 feet away from the ship. I simply watched her the entire time and waited for anything to happen. When she stood up she turned back to me and walked towards the ship. I met her on the ramp fully expecting her to tell me she was leaving. She kissed me though and we left together.
We were together for five years. Five wonderful years but I knew it wouldn't last. She told me in no uncertain terms that the Jedi knew who I was now and the designation of The Wather and would hunt me. The only caveat being that the only the Council knew that I was the The Serpent as well. What she didn't tell me though was that to stay with me she had cut all ties with the Order.
Cutting ties with the order and then going with a highly dangerous Sith that hasn't been seen in 200 years. Well, you get the idea; they were highly paranoid and kept track of us. I didn't know this as at the time even with all my connections I had nothing in the upper echelons of the Order and that's who had been hunting us. I would find all of this out a few years after the incident.
The incident being that I left to give some information to the Empire to deal with some smugglers working for the Republic. Chulli despised that I sold information to both sides but every time she would commune with the Force she would come back and say that it was more balanced. The Force didn't care about anything beyond balance and you couldn't get that if either side of the Force had too much power.
All that being said when I left to give that information to the Empire I would come back to our home on Naboo burning with the authorities surrounding the place. Running up to them they tried to hold me back but stopped when they found out it was my house. They let me pass somberly and I knew what I was going to find. Chulli was dead, our child gone and the bodies of several Jedi around the area.
Only reason I knew they were Jedi was because I had information on all of them. They were the Jedi's hit group that went after Sith and rogue Jedi. I made the connection immediately that they believed Chulli to be rogue and probably labelled her a traitor the Order. To do it though without me noticing was impressive though; they must've been extremely tight lipped about it.
All that said, that was the first time I was a father in my extremely long life and I wasn't about to let it go. That or the fact that they had attacked my home and killed Chulli. The Republic would pay dearly for that and the Jedi more so than ever. I may no longer be a true Sith and hated plenty of what I had done but that did not lessen my wrath or need for vengeance. They would know who did this to them as well.
Over the next decade the Republic lost more worlds, Jedi and soldiers than it had in the past 1000 years. Every time I influenced the fate of a battle or world I would send the head of the Commander to the Jedi Council on Coruscant. With a singular eye carved into the forehead of the heads I sent back.
I wanted to the Republic crushed under heel initially but eventually after that decade past I let up. Not because I wanted to or felt that they had learned their lessons but because I saw my son on the battlefield. When I did I didn't want him to die and began feeding him intel as a Padawan after his master died. He conquered the planet and went on to win the Sector with my help.
From there I decided to let the Republic live another day and helped them push the Empire back. It was hard going for them but eventually the eternal war returned to a stalemate. The Republic was hard pressed to do anything but they survived. I even got to meet my fully grown son about 80 years down the road.
He had retired from the front lines about a decade earlier and already had a family with a full blooded Mirialan. I was happy for him and when I got to meet him we talked for a short while at a bar. Said I reminded him of someone he knew but couldn't place me. I laughed it off and bought him a drink but left it at that. If I hadn't let my anger run wild I might've been able to have a relationship with him but that decade after loosing Chulli had made it impossible.
Loosing out on that opportunity is the biggest regret that I've ever had. Loosing out on the ability to actually talk and see them grow through my own eyes and not through reports or videos. It was something that I vowed would never repeat but sadly that just wasn't possible. I've lived to oolong for it not to happen again. I hated it every time it happened and made the responsible party suffer greatly every time.
All that said, I stayed far away from the fighting or getting to know anyone really for about another 150 years afte I met my son in that bar. When that time was up I spent a decade working for the Republic as a commando. I could've gone for the Empire but after they're training they can't blend in at all, Republic commando's could. Regardless, doing so opened in roads in areas of the Republic I didn't know existed.
Roads that helped me during my stint as a politician for the Empire. That was about 500 years after Chulli died and it was a lot of fun. Being unreasonably good at everything I did because of all the information I had and the Sith unable to do anything about it because the Emporer liked me. Of course it all came crashing down eventually but it wasn't my fault that time at least.
POV: 3rd Person
Anakin walked briskly towards the room he knew would hold the Chancellor. He didn't need to be walking that fast but he was excited. When he had message the Chancellor yesterday morning about Jedi Master Chulli he told Anakin he did in fact know about her and to visit him at this time. Which was why Anakin was walking briskly, he was running late as his speeder's engine had sparked out. It wasn't a hard fix for the young man, it just took him a little over an hour to do and was now 20 minutes late. He had sent a message to the Chancellor though he got no response so he hoped the man was still there.
As he approached the door, maybe a 100 feet in front of him. A man stepped out of the room and started walking the opposite direction. Anakin paid him no mind as he simply looked like another politician to Skywalker.
"Ah, young Anakin," Chancellor Palpatine stated as he stood up and walked around his desk to give the padawan a hug. One that was returned before they each took their seats. "So, why are you looking into such an old Jedi young man?"
"Punishment sir and I got curious."
"What possible punishment could have you researching someone who's been dead about 15000 years."
"They put me in the library this time. Madam Jacosta decided I would write a paper on someone from the Orders history through a randomizer. The Watcher was selected and Master Chulli's name was redacted," if Anakin had been looking at Palpatine's face he would've seen that the man's eyes widen at the mention of The Watcher.
"And how did you find out about Master Chulli?"
"I looked up the Corellian conflict where The Watcher got his name on the net and her name showed up unredacted," Palpatine nodded at the young man glad he was able to think of a solution.
"Okay, I can help you here young man but I am curious how much of The Watcher's file were you able to actually read young man?"
"A lot of it was redacted sir. There isn't much on the man at all," Palpatine nodded his head. Silently Palpatine was furious that there wasn't anything more on The Watcher. The man has been an enigma for the Sith over the past 15000 years.
"I thought not, there is very little known about the man but maybe the files we keep could help you in your research," Anakin's eyes lit up at the mans words.
"That would be amazing sir. Thank you," Palpatine just smiles at the young man.
"Think nothing of it my boy. You seem interest in this; I'll make sure you have access to all the files we have available, including Master Chulli's. Now, head to the Library and get a datapad, you'll have access by the time you get there," the young man smiled before standing and leaving the room. As the doors closed behind him Sidious leaned back in his chair.
"Quite the time for him to find you. I wonder if the boy will be able to find something we have not. I wonder if Plageius ever knew more than he let on about the man."
Ch 2 done. Hope y'all enjoyed it.
Btw: the BTC* from the first chapter stands for Before Treaty of Coruscant which happened about 3.5 to 4k years before the start of the Prequels.
Also, I have decided to take back what I said last week. Kinda. The story will follow canon for the most part but all available areas where Legends can be used to better the story will be used.
