A/N: Private's family Christmas with Kenny. Enjoy! Next chapter I'll put in a little of what Rico's been doing.

Since probably not many people read my profile, I will explain my summer disappearance: My computer broke. It went all crazy and decided not to work when I was trying to write. I couldn't access my computer until mid-August. I was also busy and could not explain it to you because the end of summer was just very busy.

Currently, I am studying for my midterm but had time to send these out. Yes, it takes forever to update and I'm sorry. I do want to continue these stories so thank you for being patient with me.

Kenny woke up early the next day and wandered down the stairs.

"Merry Christmas!"

He jumped and looked around to see Candace eating breakfast.

"Sorry for startling you. I was going to wake you boys up in a few minutes."

Kenny smiled. "It's fine."

Kenny ate breakfast as Candace went to wake up the other two. He then decided to call Kowalski.

"Good morning." Kowalski's tired voice came from the phone. "Merry Christmas, little bro."

"Merry Christmas."

"Don't worry about me."

"But you're all alone."

"Trust me, I'm fine."

"I like it here."

"Really? That's great, I'm glad you're having fun."

"I'm not expecting much."

"They're not like us, Kenny; they come from a good family. Trust them and have fun."

"Okay."

Kenny hung up as Private came downstairs.

"Alright, boys, here's the plan." Candace said once she and Andrew joined the boys. "I have last minute present shopping to do and then we can go join the others."

"Anything else?" Kenny asked.

"Just have fun. I won't be long so eat breakfast and get ready, by that time I should be back."

The boys nodded. Candace smiled and left to the store.

Private and Kenny got dressed at different speeds. Private was excited to see Uncle Nigel and everyone else. Kenny was nervous, hoping that the Davis family wouldn't mind having him over.

Once they were ready, Andrew drove by the store to pick up Candace before they headed to Daniel's house.

"Don't worry, Kenny, it's Christmas." Private said.

"I'm scared." Kenny admitted. "I don't belong."

"You do. You just have to search to find out where you belong. For now, you belong with us and you deserve to be a part of this."

Kenny smiled. "I just wish Kowalski was here…why did he lie to Skipper?"

"I think he didn't want to worry anyone." Private said. "He just wanted to make sure you were okay."

"He doesn't care about himself…" Kenny said. "I worry about him, but he keeps telling me not to."

Private nodded. They got out of the car and the scent of food wafted over them. Daniel had opened the door.

Kenny's jaw dropped when he entered. He hadn't been paying much attention to the decoration, but he noticed decorations everywhere.

"I've been told to pass these out." Daniel gave them candy canes.

Candace opened her mouth, and then sighed. "Not too much, Andre."

Kenny and Private exchanged surprised looks.

A big Christmas tree dominated the scene in the sitting room; Kenny wondered how he missed that last night. Voices were chattering, laughing, calling out, and squealing from the other room.

Everyone cheered when they entered.

"Finally, you came!" A white haired man said. "I thought you'd lost your way or something. Trust my brother to be late, eh?"

"Nigel." Gran said, rolling her eyes.

"Uncle Nigel!" Private said, running to give the man a hug.

"Hey, Andre! How're you?"

"Great! Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas to you as well!" Nigel said, giving Candace and Andrew hugs as well. "Well?" He looked at Kenny. "Where's my hug?"

Private nodded.

Kenny smiled and gave Nigel a hug.

"Shy boy, aren't you?"

Kenny nodded a little.

"Don't worry, Gran told me that you and your brother need lots of love. If you need anything, feel free to contact us."

"Okay."

"Now, it's time for presents!"

"Gee, is my brother twelve or my son?" Andrew said.

"I don't know, it's hard to tell." Gran said.

"Funny." Nigel said with a pout. "I just want to give all my nieces and nephews a taste of humor. You do know what that word means, don't you?"

"I do." Andrew said.

"Wonderful!"

Nigel turned on the spot and sat near the tree, staring at the piles of presents.

"He's cool." Kenny said.

"A bit odd, but yeah he is." Daniel said.

The family gathered at the tree, some sat on the floor because the couch was full.

"I know you might be a bit old, but I made a stocking stuffer for you." Gran said. She handed Kenny a knitted stocking which was bulging with objects.

Kenny's jaw dropped.

"I got you boys some chocolate too." She gave Daniel and Private bags of chocolate coins.

Kenny found a few pencils with Mickey Mouse on them.

"Sorry if they're babyish, but that's all I found so early in the morning the day of Christmas."

"It's great." Kenny breathed, pulling out a shiny pencil case with motorcycles on it. He also found a bag of chocolate coins and a couple of candy canes. There was also real money in there.

"I-"

"Don't object, you deserve it." Andrew said.

"Thank you." Kenny said shyly, not making eye contact.

"You're welcome, sweetie." Gran said.

The group started chattering as Andrew and Nigel passed out presents.

Private's presents consisted mostly of warm clothing. He also got new shoes and the newest Pokémon game.

Daniel said that Kenny could keep his game boy and Pokémon Leaf Green.

Nigel had been able to get Kenny's presents from America and brought them for him.

Barry gave Kenny and Private box sets of old television shows.

Ramona got Kenny a watch and Private some headphones.

Allie got new umbrellas for the boys.

Andrew found an old sweater of Private's and gave it to Kenny.

Ginger had gotten Pokémon cards for all three boys and small bags of jelly beans.

Candace had gone out and gotten some brand new socks for Kenny.

Kenny didn't mind that his pile was smaller than the others; he was happy watching everyone chatting and laughing.

A couple of the older cousins started throwing wrapping paper at each other and Daniel got involved. Soon enough, wrapping paper filled the room.

A light lunch was served while everyone hung out. Some of the cousins joined the younger boys in making a snow village.

Kenny made a mini snow person and walked through the village with it. However, one of the cousins stumbled backwards onto the village. Then, no one knows how exactly it happened, but a full snowball war broke out.

Snow flew everywhere. Kenny laughed as he dodged snowballs, trying to hide behind a car for protection. Uncle Nigel came out to join the fight with Andrew. Some of them decided to break for eggnog and snacks, switching out when the others got tired.

The fight had originally been two sided, but then people started forgetting who was on their side. Daniel shouted that Uncle Nigel was on his side when pelted in the stomach with a snowball. Then the flurry of snow intensified. No one knew who was on their side; it was survival of the fittest.

The half-crushed snow village had become completely destroyed and buried in the frenzy. Some of the neighborhood kids joined as well.

Then, it stopped.

As mysteriously as it started, it had stopped. Everyone was panting; some people were lying in the snow.

Kenny peeked out from a partially destroyed fort. The neighbors yelled thanks as they went back to their houses. He noticed that it was nearly dark out.

Everyone laughed and chattered as they shook the snow off of themselves and retreated into the house.

He hesitated, wondering if they'd notice his absence.

He felt himself being pulled along and looked up to see one of the cousins grinning at him.

"That was awesome, wasn't it?" She said.

"I-"

"Now it's time for hot chocolate and songs."

"Songs?"

"Don't worry, it'll be fun."

Kenny didn't reply as he entered the house. He found Private holding two cups of hot chocolate.

"Thanks." Kenny said, accepting the cup. "Who won?"

"Not sure." Private said. "I don't know the official rules."

"The official rules are that whoever comes into the house last is the winner." One of the older cousins said.

"That would be our young guest here."

Kenny blushed.

"Kenny was the last one in? Wow, congratulations, you won!"

"Yeah, you're awesome!"

"Good one, mate!"

"Congrats!"

"Kenny rules!"

"That means you get to be the first to play Charades."

"What?" Kenny asked.

"We play games until dinner, then we sing songs and then it just goes on from there."

"Oh. Um…okay."

"Pick one." One of the cousins handed him a bowler hat full of small slips of paper. "But don't tell us what it says, just act it out."

Kenny picked out a paper and read it. "I-"

"Shh! Don't talk, just act."

Kenny scratched his head.

"A monkey!"

He blinked. "No, I'm not sure how to do it."

"Here, I'll help." Private looked at the slip and whispered into Kenny's ear.

"Really?"

"Yup."

Kenny put the paper in his pocket and tried to act it out. He put his hands up and pretended to be chewing on something.

"Squirrel?"

He shook his head and tried to show a tail.

"Mouse?"

"Beaver?"

He shook his head and looked at Private and pretended to shout at him.

"A loud squirrel?"

"Is he saying Alvin?"

"Oh! Chipmunk!"

Kenny nodded.

"Maybe if you puff out your cheeks."

"Why'd you look at Andre?"

"Because the building manager calls him Alvin."

"Really? That's…weird."

"I know, but sometimes she calls me Benny."

"Wow, that's odd."

"Yeah, Andre and Kenny aren't that hard to remember."

"Maybe she needs help."

"She sounds like a grumpy old lady."

"She's not mean, but she gets annoyed easily." Kenny said.

They continued the game; a few cousins asked Kenny more about New York afterwards. Private was happy that Kenny was interacting with them.

The sight of dinner made Kenny's jaw drop. The table looked as packed as when he went to Skipper's house. Like Skipper's parents, Private's made sure Kenny had a full plate.

There was bread from the bakery as well as roasted potatoes and chicken.

A few of Private's cousins were practically inhaling the food, being reprimanded by their grandparents.

One of Private's uncles was going around, taking pictures. Earlier in the day, Kenny had tried to shrink away, but he wasn't paying attention to the camera now. Private and Kenny were having different conversations with various family members about New York and America. Kenny seemed to be enjoying himself.

"Is that why you were confused when we offered you a jumper?"

"I thought it was a bounce house."

"Would you like pudding?"

"Dessert?"

"Is that what it's called in America?"

"Yeah."

Uncle Nigel had gotten to have a conversation with Kenny during dessert. He was able to confirm that Andrew had told true stories about him.

"That's only a small portion of my life." Nigel said. "I'm what you call a thrill seeker."

"Really? I call it giving your poor old mother several near heart attacks." Gran said.

"Aw, Mum, I think you enjoy being frightened."

Gran rolled her eyes. "I do NOT."

"But he's okay now, Gran." Kenny said.

"Now, yes, in the future…"

"Mum, come on, you have to live life to the fullest."

"I would like to live to see great grandchildren grow up- Nigel, stop laughing! Andrew, don't encourage him!"

"Mum, he's the older one. I have no control over him." Andrew said.

"You could still talk to him."

Kenny blinked and frowned. He had tried not to think about Kowalski being alone, but he couldn't help it. He wondered what his brother was doing at the moment. He felt bad that they were about to start singing and celebrating when his brother was cooped up alone. Come to think of it, he didn't even know where Kowalski was going to stay. He obviously hadn't told Skipper anything and he wasn't allowed in the apartments until next Friday.

Kenny only had four more days in England before he was to fly to America and stay with Allie's family. Allie had just moved to her Grandmother's house which was two blocks from school.

"Come on!" Daniel dragged Private and Kenny to the sitting room where a keyboard had been pulled out and one of Private's aunts was tuning a guitar.

"Any requests?" She asked.

"Jingle Bells?" Kenny asked softly.

"Sorry?"

Kenny blushed. "Um…Jingle Bells, please?"

"Certainly."

Candace's father sat at the keyboard.

"Ready? It's more fun if everyone joins in." He said.

"Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells…"

Kenny's mind drifted to Kowalski. He didn't realize that he'd been singing along until Private nudged him at the end of the song.

"Kowalski used to sing to me when we were little." Kenny whispered to Private. "He only knew Jingle Bells."

Private smiled. "Now you have more songs to teach him."

Kenny smiled back. They both tried to sing along to other songs. Private knew most of them, but Kenny struggled to keep up. No one seemed to mind, though.

Music was put on the stereo after everyone was done singing along. The group chatted happily and hung out.

Daniel approached Kenny and Private.

"I told her everything." Daniel said. "I told her that I was mad at you for cheating and that we never resolved it. I also told her that I lied and I was sorry. I am sorry."

"I forgive you." Private said. "I just hope she lets me come back."

"How long do you guys have?"

"School doesn't start until the week after next, but Kenny's leaving this Saturday."

"That's not enough time, mate!"

Kenny shrugged. "I'm staying with Allie, she's a nice friend."

"Alright, but stay in contact with us, no matter what happens."

"Won't I see you tomorrow or this week?"

"No, we're taking a trip to London and we're leaving Wednesday. We were planning on staying until Sunday morning."

"Oh. Should I leave the game here then?"

"No, it's yours, mate. I honestly don't mind at all."

"Thank you."

"No problem, Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas."

Kenny and Private were barely awake by the time they had to leave.

Gran gave Kenny a gift bag. "This is for your brother. Tell him that he's welcome here any time."

Kenny nodded tiredly.

"I'll be at the bakery tomorrow to say goodbye. I have to get home tomorrow."

'Really?"

"Yes, my poor old cat can't take much anymore. And it doesn't help that my neighbor brings her young, very loud dog over."

Kenny grinned.

They said their goodbyes and went back to the bakery.

"I don't want it to be over…" Kenny mumbled.

"It's not." Andrew said. "We'll always be your family if you want."

"Promise?"

"We promise."

Kenny drifted off to sleep with a smile on his face.
