Chapter One

Next Morning…

Outside of the mansion…

Don stifled a yawn as he walked up the huge mansion with Megan, wondering why they were needed here, since the news said it was just a possible stalker, so he wasn't entirely sure as to why the FBI was needed but his boss insisted.

"Ever see this guy's movies?" He asked Megan

"Not his last two but I have seen three of his, and I thought they were okay." Megan answered, as she wasn't too much of a fan of the guy.

"I saw two and I thought the same." Don admitted, as he felt more indifferent towards the actor.

"His wife, though, I have heard her music quite a bit, though I only like a couple of them." Megan said

"Don't know if I have heard any of her music, must be listening to the wrong stations." Don mused as he looked around the house as they approached the couple.

"Hey, I'm Special Agent Don Eppes, this is Special Agent Megan Reeves, I understand that you guys had a break-in last night?" He said as he flashed his badge with Megan doing the same.

"Jake Lauer, but I suppose you already knew that." The man said, with his noted charm, along with his sharp dark brown hair, along with the rest of his looks that definitely scream Movie Star.

His wife, Aria Meyer-Lauer, was almost exactly how she looked in the magazines, except less refined and flashy and looking almost like a regular person who looked like she was heading to the grocery store.

"Yes, but we are just here to find out about the break-in last night." Don said, not the least about the fame from the man in front of him.

"Right, the guy who is probably a crazy stalker or a paparazzo trying to get some pictures of me and my wife." Jake said, feeling annoyed

"Maybe, but let us figure that out first and the sooner that we find him, the sooner that you guys can get back to what is normal for you." Don said, as he looked around the house, amazed at the simple yet fancy decor.

"Sure, I can work with that, filming for my new movie doesn't start for a couple more weeks, so I'm free to answer questions in between rehearsals." Jake said with a smile before excusing himself to answer a phone call.

Megan looked at Aria, who looked, at most, mildly concerned but mostly inconvenienced by the situation.

"What are your concerns about the intruder?" Megan asked, as she studied the woman in front of her.

"Mostly the invasion of privacy, which isn't too much different from the usual entertainment reporters that sometimes come crawling around." Aria said simply, which told Megan everything she needed to know.

"I understand." Megan said, as she and Don exchanged looks as they knew that they were going to be in for a doozy of a case.
