Chapter Nine
Few minutes later…
Megan was looking through a file when she heard the elevator and looked to see Don and David had come back and, from what she could tell, they didn't have much luck on their end.
"No luck?" She asked Don
"Well we got a look at Locke's security footage, giving him an alibi for the break-in, though Locke won't talk to us again without a lawyer present." Don said
"Think it's a waste of time to talk to him again?" Megan asked
"Probably and he doesn't strike me as the type to do so, unless there's something we're missing about him, so I don't think we'll see him any time soon." Don agreed
"So what about her other ex, think he could be involved?" David asked as he sat at his desk.
"I don't know, as he lives in New York City and is currently on tour in Mexico, so it's a little unclear at this point." Colby said
"Can you contact him?" Don asked
"I've left a message, so we'll have to wait and see what he'll have to say but I don't think he's involved either, given that their breakup was amicable and there's nothing in Aria's records to indicate any angry phone calls between them." Colby reported, as he believed this was a stalker, not an ex but it never hurts to check.
Don nodded, as he had the same feeling, before turning back to Megan.
"How's it going with the letters?" He asked
"Well, we've managed to narrow them down further, but we still don't have much to go on and Charlie and Larry are still working to further narrow it down, so hopefully we'll be able to find a viable suspect." Megan answered
"Sounds like a plan." Don said, as they went back to work
