Charred
The doors part as the front of the crowd porse in. "HOLD IT, THE DEMONS CAN NOT ENTER!" A monk calls out that's standing by one of the doors.
"They're with us, they can't go, we won't be going in ethier," Miroku says definitely to the Monk.
"It's fine Miroku, I for one don't want to go no place I ain't wanted," InuYasha says, turning his nose up at the Monk at the door.
"But I wanted to see what's going on," Shippo wines.
"Don't worry I'll get us good seats," InuYasha says. Both Shippo and Kiara hop up on his shoulders as the others walk toward the door. Sango and Kagome stop and turn back to them. "Are you sure you don't want us to stay out here with you," Sango says to the three demons.
"No you all go ahead inside we'll be here," Shippo says cheerfully. Kiara gives her a sweet moaw and Inuyasha nods in agreement. Sango and Kagome look at one another then head into the large structure, the large doors closing behind them.
"Alright," says, spreading his arms out in a strerach. He looks up at the structure and starts walking along the side. He makes it about a foot away from the right corner deciding this is a suitable place to stop. He squats down then launches himself into the air, with his passenger holding on tight. He scales the wall in one leap, landing gracefully at the top. He takes a seat, and Shippo and Kiara hop off him. InuYasha scans the crowd for his friends below. He finds Kagome and Sango closest to the door. He sees Miroku with a few other Monks receiving instructions from Yoshito. Yoshito tells them to join the outer circle. The Monks have started to stand in formation around the smaller build in the middle consisting of four circles. Miroku took his place in the outermost circle beside the young Monk from earlier.
"Is that a woman in there?" Shippo whispers to InuYasha.
"Yeah, must be the demon the old man was talking about."
InuYasha sees the dark haired woman who looks to be asleep in the small building that looks like a cage with bars making up the walls. His eyes wander through the crowd eventually landing back on Yoshito. The orb in the staff he held almost seems to be glowing. Yoshito orders the Monk to start a chant. In unison the Monks begin, sounding more like a humming hive with no one voice distinguishable from the others. After a few moments of this Yoshit's staff glows brighter and sparks of electricity flash around the cage. This causes some of the men in the closest circle to falter.
"DO NOT WAIVER! WE ALMOST HAVE HE!" Yoshito calls to them.
The sparks increase and a gust of wind picks up swirling around the cage.
"Somethings not right." InuYasha says aloud.
Miroku sensing the same thing shouts to the rest of the crowd, GET DOWN!, he tackles the young monk beside him to the ground and not a moment too soon. There was a loud crack and a wall of fire headed out toward the Monks. The innermost circle was consumed in the flames, and a plast with enough force to send the rest of the crowd to the ground, shaking the walls. InuYasha, wasting no time, jumps down from the wall and runs over to Kagome and Sango. "Y'all alright!" he shouts to them, worry stuck in his throat. "We're fine." Kagome says, as Sango pushes her Hiraikotsu off them, which shielded them from the blast. Sango starts looking around. "Where's Miroku?" she says. Eyes screening through the crowd as they all start to get to their feet "Miroku!" Sango shouts "Miroku!" the group then shouts together. A head pops up, "Here!", Miroku shouts still on the ground. They make their way over to him. Other than the hems of his rodes being a little burnt he is fine. The young Monk that Miroku had shielded was now in tears. "Genji no," shouts the Monk moving up to one of the charred bodies from the first circle.
"NO! NO! NOOOOO!" He wailed hunched over the body.
InuYasha looks to the cage to see the woman now awake slowly pacing the cage, looking out at everyone. Then she makes eye contact with InuYasha. Looking at him like she's seen a ghost.
"EVERYONE OUT! NOW!" Yoshito shouts, making InuYasha jump. The women's attention now on Yoshito, "Yoshito…I see you've been holding my staff for me. How kind of you but I'll take it back now," she says with a smirk and voice like silk.
