Chapter 1: Mementos of the past, By the real one "Slimeboyo2"
Author's Notes (Beginning):
Welcome, Welcome. I welcome you all to the new Chapter and first official Chapter of The war of the Wildcards. I will start off by saying that while I have a few ships, I still haven't defined many of them, and I would like your advice on this certain topic. What relationships would you suggest for the many other Characters in this fic, though I have a few ideas for some, I'd rather hear the public's opinion.
Chapter 1: Mementos of the past.
"Huh, What the?" Ken thought as the train that he was about to enter had turned into black and red hallways. But his training never failed him, with a small dagger and a concealed evoker he held his position against this dark world. With dagger on his right and evoker on his left, he slowly turned only to see a man in the distance. The man then started approaching him. In a cautious decision, he put the gun on his temple, shooting himself.
Yu had seen the work of a shadow world in action, but this was much more different than his usual share. He had once heard of the towering Tartarus, with its different decor but still dark interior, but he couldn't believe the darkness of this shadow world. Yu didn't really know if personas would work in there, but it would be necessary if any shadows were to attack. He stared around, trying to find anything familiar inside this world, maybe even a way out. Then he stopped, seeing a man on the corner of his eye. Yu had tried to get close to the man, but then he saw that he put a… GUN! To his head. Was this guy crazy? Who would just casually point a gun to his head, it was fight or flight. He approached the man faster, but he saw him pull the trigger. Then the sound of shattering glass.
Kala-Nemi, a giant mechanical being, its arms twisting with an almost cylindrical chest armor. Its orange armor gleaming in the dark corridors. "Wait, is that a… persona?" Yu thought to himself as the world's card was brimming with light, yet another light in this dark corridor. The worrisome Ken had become more relaxed, as he saw that it was a persona user, not a shadow. And one he recognized at that, he saw the majestic persona of a very recognizable man, The second Wildcard, Yu Narukami, labelled as a harbinger. The silver coat was radiant, showing off its power. Yu Narukami in front of it, almost flaunting the most powerful persona in his arsenal.
Ken got closer to the man, Yu somewhat recognized Ken, it had been so many years ago, and the main problem that had united them had already been resolved. They drew in to a handshake and welcomed each other. "Yu Narukami, in the flesh" Ken said. "Ken, right? I hope I'm not mistaken" Yu stretched his hand for the handshake. "Were you the one who threw us in here?" Ken slid the dagger he was holding back into his backpack. "I wasn't expecting to drag any people, but from what I see, yes" Yu's face was a bit more pale than usual.
"So, What is this place?" Ken asked while walking around the various abandoned railways. "The app was called the metaverse, but the place itself is probably Mementos" Yu kept the pace, occasionally staring at his persona. "So, it's an app?" Ken said as he took out his phone. "Yeah, Marie, though you might not have met her, found the app to get in" Yu said. Ken stopped as he found a mysterious new app, it was an eye with a star in the middle and an amount of reds and blacks, closely related to the railways they were navigating. Ken opened the app and saw that the labyrinth they did enter was in fact Mementos. "So, you have the app too? Means it can spread between persona users" Yu said as he kept walking. There was a button that said "End Navigation", but when he pressed it, it said that they were not close to an exit. Ken decided to solve this labyrinth the easiest way he knew, keep going right.
"So… uhm" Ken didn't really know what to do in these sorts of conversations, he'd usually just storm Tartarus silently and advise if there were any shadows nearby. But this time, he was with himself and Yu, and the silence was deafening. Sure, they could hear faint music, but it was still deafening. "What's up?" Yu looked at Ken's indecisive face, knowing fully well he wanted to say something. "How's rise?" Ken asked. "She's been really happy, something about a new concert that she'll be doing" Yu said. "Sounds nice, I had heard about it the other day. One of my friends at school is a big fan" Ken said. "Oh, really?" Yu smiled, "I forget that her career is that big". While following right, they encountered a few shadows. "Ready to ambush them?" Yu asked, as he stared at the shadows, looking for an entry. "Sure" Ken said.
2 Beriths, not as strong as they were expecting, 2 Zyodines and the round was over. "Easy peasy lemon squeezy" Ken said as he held to his evoker. "Even though it is cool that you have an evoker, I'm lucky I don't need to shoot my head to be able to summon my personas" Yu said. "It doesn't really hurt when you get used to it" Ken said. "Wait?… it actually hurts you to summon a persona" Yu looked with a distressed look at Ken. "It doesn't hurt when you do it?" Ken was now the one who was distressed. "I mean, I just guessed that the glass sound was a catalyst for the card" Yu said, worried about his companion. "That one is true, but still, I thought breaking the card in general hurt" Ken looked at Yu. "We'll talk about this more after this, we have to get out of here first".
They followed the rule, eventually finding a way out. It was a staircase, akin to the usual railway counterpart. Ken looked at his watch only to see that they had spent half an hour in mementos, "Oh no, Koromaru's gonna kill me". "Your dog?" Yu asked. "Yeah, he usually likes to wait for me in the train station". He pulled out his phone, showing a picture of Koromaru in his usual wear, waiting for Ken at the train station with his 2 cubs, Korosho and Koronna. "Aww, so cute" Yu melted at the site of 3 precious doggies who deserve all the pets, "Well, if you don't wanna die, we should leave". Before leaving, Ken decided to test things out, including a camera for shadow worlds, which was fully functional in the metaverse. He took a picture of the dark alleyway, with a few other confirmation pictures, like Kala-nemi in the corridor and Yu with Izanagi-no-Okami in the same corridor. Ken switched to the metaverse, pressing the "End navigation" button.
"Phew, that was a ride" Yu sighed. "Sure was, it was darker than shadow worlds usually get in there" Ken said. "Well, I guess that's that" Yu said. And so, both Yu and Ken got on the same train, while waiting, they exchanged info and got in touch. On the train, Ken got an idea. He opened up his phone and texted Yu.

TheEhhDoctor: Wanna see my doggies? You could even make a news section of it.
Kingpin: I thought You'd never ask
TheEhhDoctor: It's on the next stop.
\\
The next stop came, Ken and Yu went out, as well as most of the other people. Koromaru lit up the second he saw ken, and while he didn't move much, Korosho and Koronna jumped through people's legs to be able to get to ken faster. They were still a bit small, being 7 months old, so Ken could pick them up and take them to Koromaru. Yu visibly gushed, he was ecstatic to see the little puppers, He started writing on a Physical notepad he had. They moved closer to
Koromaru, where most were going out. Ken gave him a few pets and left Korosho and Koronna on the ground next to him. Yu started asking questions, trying to hide the visual happiness he was exuding.
"How old is Koromaru?"
"9 years old"
"For how long has he been doing this?"
"6 years"
"Has he encountered any issues?"
"None that I have seen"
"Is he a vewwy good boy?"
"Yes, yes he is"
"What about his children, how old are they?"
"Korosho and Koronna are both 7 Months old"
"Have they gotten into any trouble?"
"No, They actually lunged at a robber when he stole a woman's purse while waiting for me. The lady was kind enough and gave me a bit of money as thanks"
"Woow" Yu said as he concluded his questioning, he sat down with the doggies, giving them all a lot of pets, he looked like he was in heaven. Ken could swear that he saw Yu cuddled up with the dogs for 10 minutes, he snuck a small picture of Yu and the dogs. Yu, then, got up and thanked Ken for letting him be with the dogs, he cleaned off any hair on his vest, wasn't much though. He waved goodbye and went back into the train station.
Ken walked a half kilometer (⅓ Miles) ((Gotta be specific)) to get back home, he opened the door, specifically with a doggie door for the Koro Pack. He took out his Phone and watched some Vine, Turning his TV on to watch some YouTube on the big screen. He chilled on his sofa while Koromaru and his cubs slept on the big bed they had, stuffed with pillows, blankets and anything they wanted to be comfortable. Ken sent the pictures of the new Metaverse, showing Yu and his own persona in the process.

TheEhhDoctor: Guys, I found something new to the situation.
DaMan: What situation?
TheEhhDoctor: The Phantom thieves one.
DaMan: And what would that be.
TheEhhDoctor: I found a way in.
IcyQueen: Did someone say Phantom Thieves?
TheEhhDoctor Sent
DaMan: It's dark in there.
TheEhhDoctor: Sure was, took me a long time to get out of there.
TheEhhDoctor: At least I was with Yu
IcyQueen: Like, Yu Narukami, Right?
TheEhhDoctor Sent
IcyQueen: It really is him. Tell me everything and how you got there.
TheEhhDoctor: I'll need to show you how we even got there to begin with.
TheEhhDoctor: You'll need to go to Shibuya tomorrow.
IcyQueen: An appointment I had for tomorrow cancelled, I'll go as soon as I can.
PinkRanger: You're taking the job before me?
IcyQueen: I was going to tell you as soon as you got out of work, Love3.
PinkRanger: Can't disagree with that, She's very persuasive.

He got up, made himself some dinner, gave food to the doggies, studied up and finished a few assignments and finished up at 12:00 Am. Then, it was the next day, he awoke, 7:00 am, He had classes at 10:00, so it didn't affect much if he woke up early. Koromaru had gone out on his usual patrol of the city, where he would find things to do and enjoy the weather, it was a relaxed weather, so he didn't wait on Ken to put his sweater on. The other part of the Koro crew took it upon themselves to sleep anywhere else than their normal bed, sleeping on top of ken. He slowly but surely defused the situation, putting the small little puppers aside. He cleaned himself up, put on clean clothes and made himself some breakfast.
Author's Notes (Ending):
Goodbye people. And before you go, I must admit that this is too fast an exit. First, I would like to say, Congratulations on reading this. Both NN010 and I are very happy that you took time out of your day to read this. I would appreciate it if you would leave some Kudos on our small basket, as well as any opinion in the comment section below. Or perhaps, while you may be waiting, you might be interested in my other work. Now, while i myself am a new face to this platform, only really writing for 4 months, I do have other fics that revolve around ideas such as this one.
The one I would like to recommend is of my own, this being a Persona 5 and Lupin the Third Crossover Fic by the name of "A duel against thieves". A story chock-full of many wacky adventures and tricks on both the Phantom Thieves and Lupin the Third's side. This is also a story that would need no introduction, for it is pretty self-explanatory of the Lupin gang's mischievous nature from its first chapter. That would be all, I will be saying farewell to all of you. Goodbye now
