Chapter 9: Preys for The Doctor
Outside on the streets, 2:45 a.m...
Kyle couldn't count the time as much as he would have wanted, while his current companions Stan and Butters couldn't also change the fact that this was happening to them.
But their little tip toes talked for them, as they ran and ran as far as they could from the unfortunate doppelganger they found on their way, while Sebastian wasn't hesitant at all to let them march in peace.
They ran, and ran. The fatigue from the night wasn't helping at all, but Kyle and Stan already preserved force from their sleep.
Butters, on the other hand…
"Dudes c'mon! We have to keep moving…" Kyle told them
"Sorry fellas! I can't run faster enough. I'm feeling… tired…"
"Well Butters, you have to start waking up yourself, we have the shadow creature nipping at our heels!"
"COME HERE YOU RASCALS! Your appointment is right this hour!" Reversed Stanley screamed in the distance.
"F…Fellas….I can't…. hold myself any longer…"
Butters was starting to get tired because of the recoil while Stan talked with Kyle.
"Hold on Butters… (*Sigh)...Kyle do you have any idea of where we're going?"
"I don't know dude! After Butters decided to run for free we've been running in circles, but the damn freak doesn't get away!"
"HEY! We heard that!" Sebastian said again through their distance.
"Hey, isn't that a corner over there?" Stan pointed out.
"Where?" Kyle asked.
They immediately spotted a dark alley in one of the many intersections of the road.
"Hey, that's perfect! We can try to change our route down there and hopefully lose him out of sight for o-..."
"AAHH!"
While they two were talking Butters didn't notice the little bump of the road and tripped over it, falling straight to the ground.
"Oh sh*t, Butters!" Kyle exclaimed.
"Ouch! My knee…"
"WE CAN FIX THAT PAL! JUST COME WITH US!" Stan's counterpart teased him.
"Kyle quick! Let's help Butters!"
Stan said as the two went quickly to help Butters get up while also helping him enter inside the dark alley. In the middle of it, Stan had a plan.
"Stan, what are you doing? C'mon!"
"Hold on Kyle, you guys continue, meanwhile I'm gonna try to save us some time!"
Stan quickly grabbed a pair of trash cans and immediately threw them to the floor, while taking the same cans and kicking them to his counterpart.
When Sebastian entered the alley, he successfully avoided the two cans but because of the darkness of the alley he accidentally slipped with the trash of the cans, hitting himself really hard with the metal of one of the containers.
The three slow down their feet after hearing the metal noise from their backs while they turn their heads just to see Stan's counterpart laying seemingly unconscious on the ground.
"Well… Wow… I never think that would work..."Kyle said
"You think?"
"Stan I mean, well… He just hit his head so hard in the metal..."
"Oh jeez, is he dead or something?" Asked Butters concerned
A little growl came out of Sebastian's mouth.
"You care for him now Butters? C'mon guys! Let's take this opportunity right before he w-..." Kyle was about to say that until...
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"
Sebastian growled as a sign of hurt.
"Oh Jesus!" Butters screamed as well.
Sebastian stood up with a big bruise on his face, however, there was this time a taste of blood coming through his own veins. Of course, his face wasn't in a happy tone now.
"THAT HURT YOU PAL!"
"Oh sh*t, let 's move!"
Kyle ordered and the three retook their march as Sebastian did it as well, now running at four feet while showing his fangs emanating saliva from them, like some kind of street demon with the urge of hunting sinners.
"Dude, he never stops, what do we do?" Stan asked Kyle.
"I don't know Stan, he just goes on and on and on... He is really starting to get on my nerves..."
"I just dropped my nervousness hours ago Kyle! Now I'm panicking! Just leave us alone mister, we're good people!" Butters begged to the reversed one.
"NEVER! A shadow can never leave its container as a person can never forget his own past. Yield and accept your destiny! Or perish like preys of his nature and courage…" Sebastian told them while running fast.
"Nature… Nature… That's it! Nature!"
Stan idealized another plan as he grabbed Kyle and Butters from their wrists, turning their direction near the woods.
"Dude, what are you doing!?" Kyle asked him concerned
"Yeah Stan! You're gonna get us killed! Let 's go back fellas!"
"Dudes! I have a new plan! Just stay still! We're gonna play now by his own rules..."
Stan told them as he, alongside Kyle and Butters, ran into the woods, mixing themselves with the darkness of the trees.
"OH YES! YES! YES! Let's play hide n seek for real this time! HAHA!"
Sebastian didn't waste much of his time and he entered into the woods as well, a familiar place for both humans and his kind, the first with the need of seeking in nature while the last one growing attached to it.
The rules have swapped and the boys will try their best to avoid Stan's counterpart for good, although Stan's counterpart was always full of surprises, God only knew how his surprise would affect the plan of the 3 boys.
But for now, let's take a break.
Someone else was also full of surprises...
Meanwhile…
"Goddammit! Ugh… I swear to God that I'm gonna make that stupid jew talk when I see him, I swear to God I will!"
Cartman grumbled while talking to himself in the middle of the night, walking down the street with his wet shoes and with an angry look covering his face.
He was pissed, but it wasn't that kind of anger he is used to show in every way possible, it was a weird mix of anger and confusion. Sure, he could be called out by his actions, the Kyle that he knew always does that in any chance he has, but this time was different.
The fact that a fat quiet kid he never saw in his life put his actions on the table and also tried to drown him on the pond precisely in his sleepover could only mean one natural thing through Cartman's eyes, and that was Kyle's involvement in all this.
"Ugh… Now I could be resting my head in a sofa and watch more horror films, but noooooo, I have to be dragged down in Kahl's sh*ts and had to be covered in water of course, of course…"
Cartman stopped in plain sight while shouting out loud with all his efforts.
"HEAR ME THIS KYLE! YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR THIS! WHATEVER YOU DID, YOU'VE DOOMED US ALL!"
Cartman then let his veins calm themselves a little as he snorted out of pure tiredness while resuming his walk with less intensity.
"It's not like I do the same thing to my friends, that's for sure. And what the hell was that chubby telling me about the actions that "I" have caused, like if he was in a better position in all this. What a dumbass…"
Cartman continued walking down the street as a mysterious figure slowly approached him from behind.
"Well, at least that weird guy is not gonna bother me with his stupid way to be anymore, that's what he gets for attacking The Coon behind his backs. Hehe... What a coward…"
The figure was two feet from him.
"You know what? After all this is over, I'm gonna do three things:
- Punch Kyle in the face
- Cover my backs at any moment
- Punch Kyle in the face again, yeah!"
The figure slowly reached his hand to touch his shoulder.
"I'm gonna swear to myself to never EVER let anyone surprise me from the back never, whenever, EVER again! Let that be my warnin-..."
"Cartman…" The figure told him
"AAH! WHAT THE F*CK! GET AWAY FROM ME YOU SHADOW GHOST!"
Cartman started weaving his hands to whoever was following him from the back while moving frantically just a way to not get cough.
But soon enough his concerns slowly disintegrate as he noticed that the figure that just called his name was none other than his bestie Kenny, a little bit bruised but stable.
"Cartman, dude… chill. It's me, Kenny… I'm not one of them, okay?"
"Who-...What? Kenny? Oh great, thank God it's you! But wait, chill? Dude, I'm always chill! Okay? I would never get scared by anything dude…"
"Heh, yeah… sure..." Kenny said in a sarcastic tone.
"Mmmh… Well, what about you Ken!? You got tripped from a tall tree and now you're covered by black goo! What the heck happened to you? Where's your doppelganger?"
"Oh man, if I told you that, you wouldn't believe me. Don't worry much about me though, I have seen the worst falls. Although my back hurts like hell…" Kenny told him
"Damn... Those motherf*ckers will get it!"
As Cartman said this he started to freeze because of the cold of the night. This was something normal since he had all his clothes wet after his swimming practice on the lake.
"And you? You look like a sweaty tomato…" Kenny told him mockingly
"Haha, really funny Ken... I just got out of the pond. Stark's Pond, to be more precise..."
"What were you doing there? As far as I'm concerned, those idiots never brought the theory of "diamond and water" on the table."
"No, no, I wasn't there for the splash. One of those idiots, the chubby one, brought me there by force. He attempted to drown me in the lake, but I managed to escape because I'm too kewl to die." Cartman told him proudly.
"Holy sh*t dude…" Kenny just said.
"I know Kenny, I know I'm good. But the lucky thing is that karma hit him directly in the balls, and since no one goes around and treats me like sh*t with no apparent reason, I took my revenge and I drowned him as well…"
"You manage to do WHAT!?" Kenny exclaimed, surprised.
"Yeah! You heard me right! Now he's just seafood for the fishes, hehe... That stupid chubby should have never underestimated my appearance. Just because you can go and lock someone else's jaws doesn't mean he can't go straight to hit you now with his other claws. It's pure logic Kenny, pure goddamn logic…"
"Wow… For some reason I was expecting something like this from you Cartman. You're really a box of surprises dude…" Kenny told him
"Hehe... Same to you…" Cartman told him too
"Yeah, this night has also been a literal box of surprises…"
"More like a box of fraud. C'mon Kenny! Let's go…" Cartman told him
"Let 's go? Huh... Where?"
"To MY house of course…"
"To your house! Oh no, that's not gonna happen. Those shadow people are still in there, you've already seen them, don't you?"
"I don't care Ken, they are messing with my stuff…"
"And they could try to kill you again if they want to! (*Sigh)... Eric listen, let's try to seek help from somebody, maybe we should search for Kyle, Stan and Butters. I'm sure that if we remain together we will overcome all this…" Kenny advised him.
"From Kyle! Oh hell no Kenny! You don't have any idea what I know now about him!"
"Dude, are we still with this... You don't know what these monsters are actually capable of! Sure, you could have taken care of one, but I really doubt you could have taken down mine! Seriously Cartman! Let's not throw ourselves into a hole and let's call for help…"
"No Kenny! There is now a bunch of new info connecting all this goddamn situation and I'm gonna get to the bottom of this, even if they try to drown me with my own pee…"
"Cartman! Seriously stop! I'm being really serious with this…"
"And I'm also being the serious one around here! Kenny, please, let's go to my house, let's reunite any possible stuff that can help us go against them and then make Kayl talk for once, in one way or another, he's not gonna get absent from this. Let 's go Ken!...
"But Cartman, wait! Cartman!"
Too late for Kenny, as Cartman's nerve of finding Kyle and kick his ass already powered up his engines, and some lousy words from his old friend were not gonna make him stop his new urge for revenge.
Kenny sighed defeated, knowing that Cartman wasn't not gonna make up his mind as he prepared himself for any unpleasant encounter they may have to face in their surroundings.
"Dammit… God f*cking dammit! Can he just not get Kyle out of his head even for two seconds! Ugh!... (*sigh), (*sigh)… Dammit… What am I even doing… I just wanted free cable for one night, and these is my f*cking prize for not having Netflix… (*sigh)… Ok then… Ok… Let it be then, South Park. Next time I'll pirate my own Netflix! But for now, I'm hard to kill…"
Kenny said to himself as he retook the walk once more.
"Cartman! Dude! Wait up!"
Meanwhile…
The forest remained silent as the night went on, the crickets sang beautifully as the rats crawled near, it was only a matter of time for the silence to break once more, as Kyle and company traveled back through the bushes with the growls of Reversed Stanley treathing them down through the distance.
Kyle couldn't tell how deep was the expanse of the dark forest, as he also didn't know where they were heading exactly. Only Stan knew the path for their next breaking point and he had his own reasons to let them track him down. Kyle and Butters couldn't do very much since Stan kept grabbing them by their wrists, knowing less what their friend's actual plan was.
Sebastian by his part never changed his goal. The dark forest wasn't a real foe for him.
"Stan, what has come up to you! No one will help us here!" Kyle told him.
"Trust me guys! We're almost there! I just need to find a good hiding spot…" Stan told them.
"Uuh… I don't like scary forests, Stan. It really gives me goosebumps, it's like that nightmare I had once about escaping from forests and big heads of Eric…"
The trio kept on moving so fast but the screams of their persecutor weren't fading at all. For each step they took, Sebastian's growls were getting bigger and bigger. They couldn't continue like this if they just wanted to delay the inevitable.
Thankfully for Kyle their march stopped suddenly as Stan took a turn to his left and hid with them near some bushes, outside of his counterpart's visual field.
"Here, phew. Here we're good..."
"What do you mean Stan? We're not gonna lose him by just staying here…"
"No, of course we aren't dude, but we can stop him chasing us for a little while..."
"What?"
"FELLAS!" Butters exclaimed as he surprised Kyle.
"Butters! SHHH!" Kyle reminded Butters.
"No no… I mean, the other fella. He 's coming right for us!"
"ALL OF YOU ARE NOT SAFE HERE PALS! SLOW DOWN A LITTLE!" Sebastian demanded.
"Everyone please, remain quiet… And don't move a muscle..." Stan demanded to the other two which they immediately agreed.
It didn't take long enough for Reversed Stanley to come right directly to the area where Kyle and company were hiding, and after losing track of them he decided to stop his march in the center of all.
He looked at each side of his directions, hoping to find any indication of their objectives near the surfaces of the tall trees. However, now finding them would be a real pain in the butt, especially with all that darkness surrounding him, so the boys at least could say they were actually safe.
But hey, Sebastian had something always on his advantage, he didn't give up.
"HEEEEEEY! HEY PALS! WHERE ARE ALL OF YOU? YOU HAVE LEFT ME EAT SOME DUST AROUND HERE! That isn't cool friends…"
"Shh…" Stan reminded them.
Reversed Stanley didn't receive any response, yet still, he kept insisting.
"Pals? HEY PALS! Stan! Little red cactus boy, where are all of you?"
"I think he's referring to you Kyle…" Butters pointed about it at Kyle
"Shh... Shut up Butters..." Kyle responded to him.
No response was sent to him, a thing that drove him really mad, but nonetheless, he really knew what he was doing, he just needed to use his real tools to make them go after him.
"Heh, the old trick of the mouse and the cat. I guess it's time for you to act, Doctor…."
He thought this to himself while Stan and Kyle watched him suspiciously.
They thought he was just going to give up his search and start looking elsewhere, giving them the proper time to think of another plan. However they were really genuine if they believed he was gonna give up on them so easily.
Sebastian didn't try to follow his steps again and left out the search. Sebastian didn't start searching on every tree, every bush he found out of his way. He also didn't let his guard down and he didn't even dare himself to flinch.
The only thing that he did, and the only thing that he just responded to was by just keeping his guard down, extending up his hands and proceeded to crouch himself down, sitting directly in a spot full of trees.
"Wait…. What? Ehm…. Dude…. What is he doing?" Kyle asked him worriedly.
"I don't know…. I mean… Dude, do you think I know?" Stan asked him too.
"I know Stan but now he… is just… Well… He's just sitting there..."
Reversed Stanley didn't do anything anymore, and Stan dared to show his head off a little bit from their hiding spot just to see what he was planning to do next.
"This isn't right…" Stan said.
"Maybe he's just tired and he wants to rest a little bit…" Butters tried to guess.
"Maybe Butters… Maybe…."
"Wait Stan, look! Look at his mouth!" Kyle pointed out
"What?"
Stan himself looked at the direction where Kyle was pointing and he immediately noticed it as well.
Stan's counterpart was whispering something. They could really notice this thanks to the continuous movements he was making with his mouth, having his eyes closed and relating some kind of ritual.
The three boys were confused, but Stan and Kyle didn't let their guard down.
"Oh… I see it too Kyle. He's like… Whispering or something…"
"Oh gulls! He's whispering? Well maybe he's now just singing fellas! I do that every time I'm alone, so anyways let's get out of here! Let's take advantage now that he's distracted and let's go find Eric and-..." Butters advised them as he tried to leave that scene but Stan already predicted his movement.
"Butters no! Wait! Don't move… Something is fishy in here..." Stan said as he grabbed Butters' wrist quickly before he could go far away from them.
A breeze of uncertainty traveled among the three boys.
The shivering of his follower made their spines shiver as Stan tried to decipher what his counterpart was whispering to himself.
Kyle also made the effort of trying to decipher it for himself but it was no use, forcing his vision into something so doubtful as a quiet conversation in the middle of the darkness wasn't a thing he could rely on what his attacker's next move could be.
Nonetheless, Stan could see more than that.
Kyle, about to give up on the purple freak, was about to join Butters and with Stan run as fast as they could from the creature but he, still intrigued, asked Stan a simple question.
"Stan… Do you know what he's saying?"
Stan didn't respond to him back, all his senses were more invested in what his counterpart was trying to whisper that he didn't bother to even hear his question.
He tried to turn a deaf ear just so he could hear him better, and after a long minute of lip sync and interpretation he finally managed to hear out his words.
"Stan?"
"Tin, Tin, Tin…,
The night has come again…,
Tac, Tac, Tac…,
The patients have gotten away….;
Flick, Flick, Flick…,
The disease is really enraged…,
Flon, Flon, Flon…,
Is something that must be erased…;
Rise and grow, we're preparing ourselves again,
Reach our tools, your treason is our domain...;
Seal and resolve, before you gain some fear,
Start gaining ground cause The Doctor is getting near!"
.-€
After Sebastian formulated those words the little dry red pompom he had on top of his red hat started suddenly to move frantically in a twisted menacing move.
They couldn't tell what was happening, but they surely knew that, whatever that "pompom" Stan's counterpart had on top him, it wasn't really a wool pompom at all, as the surface from the pompom began to crack in at least six parts that unfolded in unison like the petals of a flower opening in the morning, revealing against the astonishment of all the ones present the extraordinary apparition of a big and wide secret third eye, resting at the top of Reversed Stanley's big head while secretly hiding literally inside the skull of the creature itself.
As a snake inside a bottle, Kyle and his friends watched horrified and with disgust how Sebastian's third eye started emerging from his brain, moving itself slowly while he kept saying those words out loud, like some sort of ritual or summoning.
Stan and Kyle were in shock while Butters was about to puke.
When Sebastian finally stopped, his third eye was fully in sight of everyone, flexing itself a little just so it didn't reveal its full length.
Kyle couldn't imagine seeing that nor even describe it, if he could barely describe it, it was like watching a submarine activating its telescope or a worm emerging from the muck, but instead of having a head, it only had an eye.
"What… the flip-flops IS THAT!?" Butters exclaimed, really freaked out by what he witnessed.
Stan and Kyle didn't dare to respond to him back, they were equally as shocked as him.
Of course they would be shocked, but they didn't see it all.
"Oh Doctor! Please help! The pure darkness is killing me and I really need a light on if we wanna end this long night for once ..."
Sebastian's third eye (formerly known as The Doctor) listened to the prayers of his portrayer and, using its own retina, produced a big light which extended to a long distance. It was like a living flashlight, with the ability to rotate 360 degrees on its own edge.
With his new ability being executed, The Doctor didn't make itself wait enough and proceeded to light up all the zones there were at their approach, while RStanley remained still, sitting calmly on the ground knowing that The Doctor will help him out on finding the three boys, not for nothing it was a great searcher.
Stan, Kyle and Butters, now really stunned on RStanley's new shine ability, didn't think twice on crouching rapidly behind the bushes again after Stan and Kyle noticed that the light was coming right next to them. Kyle even got fast on saving Butters after he grabbed him from the wrist and forced him to crouch after he noticed his absence from the present due to his sudden rise of fear.
"Dude! WHAT THE F*CK IS THAT THING!?" Now Kyle exclaimed, freaked out as well.
"I don't know dude! But don't let that thing see you!"
"Oh really? Don't let that thing see me Stan? Dude, that's gonna be difficult when it's actually a BIG F*CKING WORM EYE!"
"Yeah fellas! Have you seen how that thing was getting out of his head? YUCK! I think I'm gonna throw up…"
"Yeah, I've seen it too Butters, now don't move if you wanna be worm food..." Stan warned him.
Kyle was now a new supporter of leaving the forest as soon as possible alongside Butters who was just shaking with fear. It was bad for them that Stan wasn't following their footsteps but he had his reasons not to do so. He had a great plan.
"Dude! Please! Let's get out from this spot and escape now to South Park again! Here we're just gonna get exposed by the green light!" Kyle told desperately to Stan
"Yeah!" Butters responded as well.
"I need to be in that spot from the front, only by being there my plan will work well..."
"What plan Stan?" Kyle asked him annoyed
Stan needed to be on that intersection of trees so he could put up what he was having in mind in practice, but with Sebastian and The Doctor blocking the way out from the front it was difficult even for him to take two steps without getting noticed so if he wanted to do what he was planning to do, he needed to be fast, sneaky and cautious.
He had to go around him so he could be there, in that exact intersection of trees.
"Stan?"
Ignoring Kyle's questions, Stan waited for The Doctor to turn his light on his right so he could have free open access to jump to the other bush without getting caught by the creature's light.
"Stan!" Kyle exclaimed in vain.
When the light was absent from his viewfield he didn't think twice about kneeling himself down and he rapidly jumped into the other bush from his left, avoiding Doctor's attention while approaching a little bit more to his new destination.
"STAN! WHAT THE F*CK!? You're gonna get us killed!" Kyle scolded him in an angry desperate tone.
"Yeah Stan! Please come to us…" Butters begged him.
"Shh! Dudes please! Just trust me. In that spot there's a way to take this guy down, I just need to make him go there and we'll be ready to go..."
"Stan, that's really risky! It's better for us if we just leave now!"
"Kyle! Please! Trust me! I'm serious when I say that we can get rid of him. I have been here before…"
"What?" Kyle said, confused.
Stan, much to Kyle's own demands, continued jumping across all the bushes that were in their area while avoiding the light from RStanley's creature. Kyle, frustrated by this, decided to follow him as well, in one part just to stop him but in another just to see what he had in mind.
"Ugh, I can't believe I am doing this. Butters, stay here…" Kyle said to Butters.
"Oh jeez, be careful there fellas…"
Kyle followed Stan on his delightful bush exchange, as he avoided the possibility of being illuminated by The Doctor.
Butters watched silently how Kyle almost got caught while trying to follow up Stan after he accidentally tripped over a stone and fell straight to the ground, having been left at RStanley's own judge if it wasn't that Stan immediately grabbed him from his arms and dragged him to his position.
He was in shock at first, but after knowing that the two were safe, he eased up a little.
"Oh! Yay! That was a close one. Phew, I swear to my mum's lucky kitty that these two are gonna kill me one day…."
When Butters was about to sit on the ground again, after he got up because of the originated tension, he didn't see the big sharp rock which was about to squash, sticking it accidentally in his butt.
"Ouch! Hammons!" He exclaimed in slight pain.
"Dumb Mr. Rock, take this!"
Butters grabbed the rock and threw it away, he pretty much threw it to the darkness away from RStanley's attention.
He was about to forget it until a rampant sound from the darkness froze his attention entirely.
"Ouch!"
A scream in slight pain was also heard in their area, a scream that was too familiar but at the same time too strange for Butters to even hear it in his own circumstances.
"Wait. What was that?" Butters asked to himself.
Now curious about this new sound he proved himself not to be crazy when he took another rock and cautiously threw it to the same place he threw the first one, obtaining the same result.
"Ouch!"
He heard it again.
He didn't know who else was inside that forest, yet he couldn't relate it to any of his friends but he couldn't let it be forgotten.
That was a voice too familiar for him.
That was… his voice.
Soon his sudden confusion turned into a glimpse of curiosity when he slowly got up from his position and carefully approached the place where the scream first originated.
"Um… Hey!… Um… Is anybody there?" He whispered to the woods, not talking to someone specifically.
"Um… We're lost so... whoever is in there, are you lost too? I'm sorry if I have hit you with the rock, that was my bad…"
Butters never received a response to any of those questions, but he could notice something strange as he slowly approached straight to the place where the sound trembled high.
Whatever or who he was looking at made a strange reflection effect that he could perceive on the corner of his eyes.
It was like looking outside with the use of a big window.
As Kyle and Stan were hiding from The Doctor's own vision they immediately noticed what Butters was doing and they started to obviously worry.
"Dude, what the heck is Butters doing? He's gonna get caught!"
"Oh no, sh*t, BUTTERS! Butters get down!" Stan tried to scream at him but a glimpse of light coming from The Doctor's eye forced him to turn his scream into a whisper.
"It's okay little fella, it's alright. We're not like them, we're normal. Normally good, really happy people!" Butters still tried to resonate, even if his eyes weren't on his side he knew someone was in front of him, hearing everything that he was saying.
"Please, come with us…"
While Butters was talking to the shadows The Doctor was turning its light to him, alerting Kyle and Stan to help him really quickly.
"Butters! What the heck! SIT DOWN NOW!" Kyle quickly screamed at him
"What?" Butters said confused to them.
But when Butters turned himself to see what Stan and Kyle were screaming at him about, it was relatively too late for him, because the light from The Doctor hit him in all his face. It also hit the reflection who was standing there in front of him, which suspiciously looked like the figure of a human, from his same stature and same way. Maybe Butters wasn't crazy at all and he actually was talking to someone.
But well, that now doesn't matter. The Doctor found where Butters was, and so Reversed Stanley.
"Huh? What the-!"
"HAHA! The Doctor HAS FOUND YOU…
Now prepare to feel some FEAR!"
:)
With The Doctor returning inside his nest, RStanley opened his eyes again, now more savaged than before and rapidly left his crouching position, now going full speed against Butters and pouncing on him like a lion taking out his prey.
"BUTTERS!" Kyle worryingly screamed.
"UUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH" Butters screamed in return.
Reversed Stanley struggled with Butters, he wanted to bite him on the head. Kyle ran to him to help him while Stan went straight to the spot where he wanted his plan to develop.
"NOOOO NOOOO, GET AWAY FROM ME YOU FREAKING VAMPIRE!"
"Shhh! Be still little mantequilla, cause this is gonna hurt you b-OUCH!" While Sebastian was saying those words, Kyle rammed him hard from his side, pushing him right straight to the ground.
Kyle helped Butters to get up and soon those two prepared to defend themselves as RStanley menaced them with all the tools he biologically had: The Doctor pointing them with its light, his large claws wanting to tear some flesh and his large extra tongue finished with a small mortiferous jaw.
"Butters, quick, go where Stan is! I'm taking care of him now…"
"Oh no, no way Kyle! I need to save the person from the shadows too..."
"You what?"
Reversed Stanely just wanted to kill them but soon his concentration went downhill when a small rock hit him right on his right cheek, making him change his attention to the one who had just hurt him.
Not much by his surprise, it was Stan the one who threw the rock at him, granting him the attention he wanted just by pissing him off a little more.
"Hey dogface! Go and take down someone from your size!" Stan encouraged his counterpart.
"As you wish Raven...
HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
:)
Reversed Stanley took only three seconds to just turn himself around and start approaching Stan's position in a big deadliest manner as Stan just stood there waiting for him to come.
"STAN NO!" Kyle desperately screamed.
Reversed Stanley was about to finish his last business with him by just biting him straight to the neck while looking at him with his dead eyes in an effort to create more fear but Stan, despite his situation, never dared to leave his position as he closed his eyes in case the plan didn't work out well.
Just when the night was at his peak and the four thought that blood was gonna spread everywhere, everything just stopped.
Stan, who thought he was gonna have his face splitted in two, carefully opened his eyes.
That's when he saw his counterpart, staring closely at him like two feet on his way, without the ability to move anymore. Kyle and Butters were as confused as Reversed Stanley was, he didn't know what even was happening to him and the rotation of his pupils said more about his confusion.
Sebastian then, out of pure curiosity, looked right down to his feet just to see the rope that was retaining him.
At that moment, Stan smiled.
The rope that retained Sebastian grabbed him so hard that it was able to pull him right up in the air with him screaming in a big great frustrating mode while he tried to cut down the rope with his own sharp teeth.
What he wasn't able to cut were the two metal nets that covered him entirely while he was suspended in the air, retaining him from all his possible moves.
That was it for Stan and company. The reversed one was finally trapped for good.
With his being now retained, he could only growl in resentment.
"Grrr! UAAAARGH!"
"Scream all that you want, that's not gonna get you down from there. Jackass..." Stan said to his counterpart. He was now more calm and he even went to mock his face as a sign that he was fine despite the thirty seconds of dread that he was facing before.
But the most important thing that reminded him to be calm was the fact that he was fine alongside Kyle and Butters, who went straight full at him after the whole party of lights was finally put on a relative pause.
"Stan! Over here!"
"Kyle! Butters!"
Stan ran after them as well, giving them a big hug with the gratitude that they were fine, at least here and now.
"Oh, thank God. You guys are fine..."
"Well yeah, we are! And you?" Kyle asked him worriedly.
"Well, considering that I'm still on foot after facing two death stares in a row, I can't say I'm not handling this too well…"
"Yeah, neither us…"
Stan immediately looked at Butters, at the scars the creature struck at him.
"Oh no, Butters…"
"Don't worry Stan, I'm good! My parents will probably ground me for just getting my clothes dirty but for the rest… But at least I think I'm good!"
"Rrrrerrghh… DAMMIT!" Sebastian yelled in displeasure, knowing that he couldn't get out of his new situation.
"Stan, how did you know it? How did you know that there was even a trap settled in there?" Kyle asked him curiously.
"Heh… Remember the story that I told you about my dad and his weed dilemma..."
"Yeah?"
"Well, after my dad demanded me to help my uncle Jimbo he, Ned and I traveled here to these forests and we spent all that afternoon settling all those traps around here, including the one where this damn bastard is now stuck in…"
"Wow! That 's sweet…" Butters said.
"I knew there was a trap here thanks to the little trail of tegridy that we left with one of the traps, and also because one of the tickets from his trap store was hidden in plain sight, so… Well, that's why I took all of you to the forest. It was this or run more..." Stan explained to them
"Dude, that was well played Stan!" Kyle congratulated him
"Yeah! I gotta admit, that has been pretty good. I thought for a moment that you just went full nuts mode or something..."
"Yeah I know, sorry dudes. I should have told you before…"
"Well, that doesn't matter anymore, we already got our "smelly weeder" on his nest..." Kyle said as he pointed out to the creature.
Reversed Stanley still struggled with his trap, as the trio approached him slowly he eventually gave up, liberating a small grunt before calming his own fury and stopping his troubling aggressiveness.
"Grrr… I'm trapped. How ironic..."
"Hey there! What 's wrong? Afraid of heights?" Stan mocked him from the ground.
"HAHA! Really funny…"
"Hey Stan, what if you ask him where the rest of our friends are?" Kyle asked Stan
"I'm sorry Kyle, that's confidential! But if you approach your face near the nest then MAYBE I could tell ya, HEHEHE!"
Sebastian dared him.
"Ehem... Yeah, that's gonna be a no. You purplish freak…"
"HA!… To each one's own..."
Stan thought a little before coming to a conclusion.
"If this is how far these people can go then they can't have left South Park all of the sudden…"
"Stan?"
"C'mon guys! Let's try to find Cartman and Kenny, and in the meantime let's go to the police station. At least we'll find some REAL help in there..."
"Yeah, I hope…" Kyle said
"HEYA Pals! What about me?" Reversed Stanley said in a mocking tone.
"Well, what if you stay there and stop talking for once! That's where you should belong anyways…" Kyle scolded him.
"PFFFF! That's too difficult for me, greenpot…."
"Let's go guys…" Stan finally said.
Stan, Kyle and Butters eventually left the scene while Sebastian just accommodated himself, knowing he was gonna be trapped in there for a while.
"Oh dear, Doctor? What do I do Doctor? Knowing that I'm gonna be trapped in here for a while fuels me with a lot of courage but also knowing that my Kyle's gonna break my legs when he sees me in this position fuels me with courage as well, soooo… Hehe… What a funny situation... I guess I'll just whistle, just because we're us for once…"
Reversed Stanley started whistling a familiar melody in the pale of the whole night. As Stan, Kyle and Butters proceeded to their next destination, Butters was relieved that their persecution finally found a pause.
"WOOHOO! We did it fellas! We avoided the danger for once!" Butters exclaimed happily
"Yeah, you know this Butters? Maybe we could have avoided it more easily if you weren't so distracted..." Kyle reminded him.
"But Kyle! I wasn't distracted, I was just… wait. Oh no! We've to return! There was someone lost in the woods as well, someone just like us!"
"Butters, I have been looking around this forest before and there was no one remaining here other than us…" Stan told him
"But guys! I heard his voice…"
"Well, we also have to save Kenny and Cartman. Maybe you just imagine it…"
Kyle and Stan continued with their route while Butters stopped a little just to remind himself that what he heard before wasn't something he just imagined.
"But… I heard a voice in the shadows before…"
"Butters! C'mon! We don't wanna get split up again! Right?" Kyle told him.
"Oh… Yes fellas! I'm going!"
Butters looked behind his back one more time before returning with his feet alongside Stan and Kyle.
The three finally felt safe and they thought no one else would be bothering them while trying to leave the forest.
For their own disconcert, however, they didn't know that above them, at the top of a large tree, someone was spying on them, someone who had seen it all.
After watching the complete fiasco that his companion had put during his mission, she proceeded to make a call.
Ring, Ring, Ring…
"Hello? Who the f*ck is this again?" Elik said in an angry tone
"How is it gonna be? Dumbie. It 's me, again..." The female voice said.
"Oh! of course it was you, you witch. What is it, what's the problem?"
"Well… "boss", take a wild guess, I'm sure you'll already know it."
"..."
"..."
"...He has just failed his mission, does it?"
"Yeah. Pretty much…" the female voice told him shortly.
"(Stupid stupid son of a labrat) Grrr…. Ok then, if they wanna play harder, let's make it really chaotic for them then. It's your turn now, you witch. Lure them after me, I'm already in position..."
"Consider it done, your "majesty" ..." The female voice told him mockingly
"Shut up..."
The mysterious watcher hung up Elik as she prepared herself well to prepare her stellar presentation.
"The secret monster has failed to give his speech, let the witch go and haunt them, she at least knows how to sing..."
Meanwhile, Cartman and Kenny…
After a brief time of walking and whipping the two eventually manage to return to Eric's house, giving them a little relief, but Kenny doesn't let his guard fall for even two seconds.
"Ugh… Finally! Jesus. My big ass house is here! Finally I can take these clothes out and grab my oversized baseball bat! C'mon Kenny, you're welcome…"
"No Cartman wait, wait! This isn't all right…"
"Who cares if it isn't alright, it's my house Ken, MY HOUSE!"
"Cartman no! Don't-... Ugh, goddammit..."
Cartman and Kenny entered openly into Cartman's house, not really sure what they could find in there.
"Hey, what the…!" Cartman exclaimed in an angry manner as he saw the state of his house, with all his furniture on the floor alongside the TV they watched movies a few hours ago.
"OOOH! WHAT! Grrr… Kyle and his stupid company are going to really pay for this..."
"Hmm… This is weird. They have thrown all the furniture away but they haven't stolen anything..." Kenny noticed it
"Maybe they will steal it once they kill us Kenny! Ugh… I will be in my room, I'm gonna change my f*cking clothes. I don't want to catch a cold here. Not in my pajama day…"
Cartman went straight to his room while Kenny just frowned at him. While he was changing himself, Kenny made sure to close all the windows from the house just in case someone very twisted dared to break in again.
That's when he noticed the opened basement door, with the downstairs of the entrance clear as he could hear some weird noises at the end of the big stairway.
"Uh…Cartman?"
"What?" Eric suddenly appeared.
"HUH!"
Kenny got scared a little because of Cartman's sudden appearance. He was now wearing his regular clothes and his own blue hat.
"AAH! Goddammit Kenny! Don't go screaming like that!"
"Uhh… Sorry, it's just… there, in the basement. I think I have just heard some screams..."
"Well I don't hear a sh*t BUT my baseball bat is down there! So I'm coming down..."
"Fatass no!"
"Kenny! I'm not gonna sit here while I'm getting thrown into the depths of a lake again. I'm going… to take… my baseball bat!"
Cartman ignored Kenny's demands and climbed down the stairs. The only thing that Kenny could do at that moment was just being pissed off with him again or just follow him instead.
"Goddammit… I don't wanna be alone here..." He said.
In the basement, Cartman searched upon all his stuff trying to find his baseball bat while Kenny just waited for him, sitting at the bottom of the stairs with a tiring look on his face.
"Ugh… Dude, have you found it yet?"
"Ehm, no? This is not gonna take too long annoying Kenny, I have a system around here..."
"Maybe it wouldn't take too long if you still weren't keeping all these "Coon and Friends" merchandise and pile it all over the floor, or even these candles to start with…"
"Well at least it's not like your house Kinny!"
"Sure, whatever…"
While Cartman was looking for his baseball bat Kenny couldn't help but notice the big hole that was invading a small part of the basement, curious to know what was inside of it.
"Ehm, Cartman…"
"OH YEAH! SWEET! My baseball bat…" Cartman exclaimed happily
"What's with the hole from there, I thought you covered it like years ago..."
"Oh! That? Well of course we didn't, I still use it every time I play "The Silence of the Lambs" with my friends…"
"Let me guess, your plushie friends?" Kenny asked him mockingly.
"They're not plushies Ken! They're very real!"
"UUARghh…"
They both stopped talking as they heard the same deep scream pullulating all over the basement.
"Uhh… Cartman? What the f*ck was that?"
"I don't know…"
"Uuuurgh…"
"Cartman, seriously, I'm not joking around?"
"Kenny! I'm telling you that I don't know. If I had discovered that I had zombie screams haunting all my basement I would have let all of you know…"
"Well, are you sure it's not coming from one of your plushies? Because it's coming straight from the hole..."
The two looked at the hole, now concerned at what could be down there, and they slowly approached it, bowing their heads to the bottom of the hole just to see what was in there.
"Dude, there's nothing down here…"
"Wait, I'm seeing something…"
Kenny watched more closely as he could see the figure of Liane resting injured after being covered by the black substance which was being segregated by his own doppelganger.
After he saw Liane in her state, he stood there in shock.
"What? What do you see Ken? What do you see!"
Kenny didn't respond to him. He was now too scared while he thought about all the things his counterpart was able to do, including the harm he could do to the victims who stood in his way.
He could sense it. He could feel it. His negative presence was all over the house.
"Take this, see it yourself. I'm warning you dude, you're not going to like it..."
Kenny left his phone to Cartman so he could go and activate the flashlight to see her with his own eyes. Kenny went straight to the basement's stairs and he immediately left the basement itself, wanting to get out of Cartman's house as soon as possible so he could call for help somewhere else.
However, when he was about to leave at the door entrance, he suddenly had to stop as he saw the presence of a known figure standing at the front of the house.
It was Reversed Kenny. He had just found him again.
0I
As the night began to be cold and the silence was almost present, Kenny remained frozen with his feet stuck to the floor as he waited for Cartman's reaction after finding out what the shadow people just did to his poor mother.
"MOTHERF*CKERS!" Cartman shouted furiously as he went running straight where Kenny was to tell him the obvious.
"Kenny! Kenny! Have you seen what they have done to my mum!"
Kenny didn't respond him back once more. Instead, he was just limited to pointing out with his finger where his counterpart was standing, as Cartman with a stern look, directed his gaze at where Kenny was pointing, changing his look immediately to a worried one, as he already understood what was making Kenny feel scared.
Reversed Kenny never changed his gaze from the two.
"Uh… Kenny… Isn't that?..."
"Cartman. Let's start taking all your furniture and let's place it all over the entrance. We're barricading this place…"
Meanwhile, Kyle, Stan and Butters…
"I'm telling you fellas! There was someone else in that forest too!"
Butters kept insisting on his finding but the other two remained skeptical.
"Well, if there was actually someone they would have found out about the trap thing long before we arrived there. Maybe you just imagined it because of the pressure..." Stan said.
"But Stan, I swear that I heard it!"
"Well, regardless of what you heard or what you weren't able to hear, you almost got killed by the hands of that creature! Don't do that again. You're lucky that I was there, but what if Stan and I weren't?" Kyle scolded him in an angry tone.
"Uuh… I know, I'm sorry for putting you in that bind Kyle. I just thought there was someone in danger as well…" Butters said while looking down sad.
"(*Sigh)… Well, that doesn't matter now. Let's just focus on leaving this damn forest before we start becoming as crazy as them..." Kyle said to everyone.
Butters not satisfied with that response he just limited himself to clunch his knuckles with a stern look of confusion.
"I know what I heard, I know what I saw. I didn't wanna cause any trouble…" He said to himself in a whispering tone.
Kyle ignored Butters' response and instead approached Stan just to ask him about their march.
"Are you sure this is the way out of this forest? I don't think we have passed here before..."
"I can't tell if it is dude, but maybe if we go in this direction, then maybe we w-..."
"OH MY GOD! YOU FELLAS! LOOK!"
"(*Sigh),... What's your problem now Butters?" Kyle said in a tiring tone, unaware of what could be possibly bothering Butters now.
"THERE! OVER THERE! There's a pink fog coming right in that direction!" Butters pointed out on his right.
"A pink fog? Really?" Kyle said in a sarcastic tone.
"Hey… He isn't joking around..." Stan said, looking at his right as well.
The three then witnessed how a small but large trail of pink smoke intertwined around the intersection of trees from the forest, leaving at its trail a little way to be followed by Kyle, Stan and Butters.
"Hey! You're right Butters! It's literally a big fog… made of pink? What?"
"Maybe you're starting to be right and we're starting to become reversals too Kyle..." Stan said
"Yeah, that too…"
"Well yeah, but it's literally a pink fog coming from the forest. Hey! Maybe the one that I heard before made that smoke to find him! Let's go fellas, let's go!"
"Butters no! Wait! Butters!" Kyle tried to stop him but it was no use, Butters was already following the trail.
"Ugh… When is he going to forget what he just heard two moments ago?" Kyle said in frustration
"Well I can tell you one thing Kyle, the traps of my uncle didn't include any pink smoke in there, so this has to be something else. Let's go! Let's follow Butters. It isn't safe to be alone here anyways…"
"But Stan, wait! Don't leave…" Kyle told him.
Too late, Stan followed Butters as well.
"(*Sigh)… And all this is happening because of my stupid me from 5 years ago, God!… Well, let this be something exclusive from here and not from somewhere else..."
Kyle went alongside them, following the pink thin trail as he entered more deep into the forest.
After minutes of minutes of following the pink fog, it finally came to an end when the pink fog stopped around the trunk of an old tree, with Butters and Stan looking at the top of it while Kyle was confused at what they were looking at exactly.
"Stan, Butters, there's no more pink fog to follow, now if we can stop being so redundant and return to the town for once we could at least finally be able to find some good help for once, huh?"
"..."
That's how Stan and Butters responded to him.
"Stan?" Kyle called his name.
"Kyle, look! At the top of the tree!" Butters said while pointing out with his finger.
Kyle didn't understand what these two were witnessing but after directing his gaze up in the tree he immediately recognized the figure of a person sitting calmly at one of the branches from the big tall tree, reading a book while resting her head calmly on the of the same tree.
The three couldn't tell who she really was, but after looking at her a little bit more, they could recognize some features that she unanimously ported.
They could see that figure was a girl, a girl who had their same stature, their same type of clothes and a little french hat, covering the top of her head.
They didn't know who she was or what she was doing up there, but for some weird reason, she reminded them of someone that they just heard that day before. Someone that Stan knew too well.
Kyle was the only one who dared to make her talk.
"Hey you! The one from the tree! Who are you? What are you doing up there?"
They didn't get any revelation, nor did they get any response, but the sweet tone from her voice was enough to make them worry.
"Jiji…" She giggled
"Let's just pretend that I am the forgotten witch from these forests...
And you guys are just my secret trick to make this night show unforgettable…"
;)
