Hello there, how y'all doing? I much like others with the same story premise was imspired by MasakoX's series what if Gine went to Earth with Goku? It is a fantastic watch if you haven't yet but I've decided to bring my little twist in it as to keep it as unique as a fanfiction about an AU done god knows how many times could be but I'll do my best. I of course don't own the Dragon ball franchise or it's characters.
Chapter 1.) The Saiyan runt
She could just barely hear herself think as the establishment buzzed with activity as warriors feasted. The young woman continued to cut up the butchered meat in front of her with such efficiency and the speed only found in years of experience; if only the others appreciated that.
The young woman stood at average height with a slender build, a pretty face, large dark eyes, relatively pale skin, shaggy black hair that went down to her shoulders. She wore green armor with golden straps and a white outline, along with white gloves that covered her hands. Lastly, there was the long brown tail that was the distinct feature of a Saiyan
"Gine!" She turned her head to see her boss who was a quite bulky man with blue armor and a scowl on his round face. "Yeah? What is it sir?"
She knew that her boss wasn't the most hospitable of saiyans but today he seemed like he was not in a good mood. "Is that meat ready? We got a whole bunch of people waiting in line." The employee nodded.
"Almost! Just a minute and we'll have them warriors fed!" She answered energetically as she continued to chop the meat up. "Well we don't have a minute to spare runt! Get that meat ready or I'll make that sorry ass of yours regret being born!" He walked away, leaving her to continue with her work.
Runt.
A word that had such a vile taste that it made her physically ill, for it reminded her just how useless she was. Saiyans were a warrior race that were built to conquer whole planets with ease and to dominate over all. Strength naturally was by far the most valued attribute in Saiyan society and yet, she wasn't.
Born with a low power rating she just barely escaped the fate of being sent off to a faraway planet to conquer it in the hopes that the child would return a strong warrior though most wouldn't survive but she couldn't escape then scorn of society.
No one seemed to believe in her, tossing her aside like trash. She was seen not only as a weakling but her kindness which was almost unheard of was branded as a disease dragging down her already low potential. It was the reason she left the army way earlier then other saiyans, she simply couldn't bring herself to kill so was relegated to cutting up meat for hungry patrons in the mess hall she worked at.
But she did try to look on the bright side, she had two children, a loving husband, and a job to be grateful for at least. Gine continued on with her job as best as she could but her boss's remarks stayed with her. She hated how no matter how hard she tried, the words of others still hurt her, it still stung how she was mocked for crying when her eldest son was shipped off not even a week after she was able to hold him.
Other then that her day at work went off as went off as per usual except for the fact that it seemed time had slowed to a crawl that day out of spite against the saiyan woman who motivated herself with the prospect of seeing her son Kakarot who never failed to bring joy to her day. It was odd for a saiyan mother to care so much about her offspring, but Gibe was pretty odd herself so it didn't really matter, only that she loved her boys.
After a very, very long day she at long last was done with her shift. 'Finally! I can go home...' She put away her gloves and walked out into the streets of the capital of planet Vegeta towards home. It hadn't been long until she stumbled upon a crowd that blocked her path home with the bunched up Saiyans shouting "Fight! Fight! Fight!" With the sounds of trash talking and punches and kicked filling the air.
"Well, time for a plan B." She looked over to an allyway that to the nect street over, this little shortcut would do just fine. But unfortunately it wouldn't go as planned.
She made her way through the alleyway when an she gets a gut feeling that something was off, even as she entered the street it didn't go away. Gine didn't know why until she accidentally bumped into something. "Oh I'm s-sorry!"
Gine looked up to see a Saiyan with with short spiky hair, wearing light green and black armor, staring down at her with pure hate in his eyes. She instantly knew that this was a terrible situation she had to get out of immediately.
"I didn't mean to bump into you sir." She said meekly as she took a step back but as she went to leave the Saiyan man moved to block her path with the same glare that could kill her if she wasn't a Saiyan herself.
"Where you think Your going missy?" Her heart dropped, "You think you can waltz into me and not get pummeled into the dirt you bitch."
Gine quickly thought of as many possibles as she could. She could try talking, but that could make him mad, fighting was out of the question, no one would put their skin out for her, and running was the best option but he could probably catch up to her.
He took a step forward with and engulfed the smaller female in his shadow. "I hear your the wife of the legendary Bardock eh? The Saiyan with the power level of 10,000 having offspring with a weakling of 450. Just because he's gone soft around you don't mean you stand a chance against my 3,400 power level."
Now she had to run, she had to run now! He was pissed and she could only pray to the gods that she lost in him in a crowd or something! Though she was now weak at the knees and her blood went cold, she had to act.
"I-I-I truly a-am sorry but I have to-AAH!" She let a shriek of pain as the man grabbed her right wrist and squeezed hard. Panicking she tried to fire off a ki blast but stopped immediately as he slapped her hard across her delicate face, before grabbing her throat and lifting her up in the air.
She helplessly clawed at the big hand obstructing her supply of oxygen which earned a laugh from the Saiyan who let go of her wrist to charge up a ki blast of his own. Tears ran down her cheeks while her attack took glee from her suffering.
"Must've broken something didn't I? You should've thought twice before crossing the mighty Corron's path you- GUAAAH!!!!!"
He then dropped her and instinctively she closed her eyes shut as she hurt a sickening snap followed by more screaming. Laying in the dirt she opened an eye to see the Saiyan man on his knees as another continued crushing his hand. It was her Bardock, and he looked furious!
"What's the matter? You should've have thought twice before crossing me weakling." Corron through sobbed begged and begged for mercy but her lover simply looked down at him with disgust.
With saying a word he kneed Corron's arm, bending it unnaturally with bloodied bone sticking out of his flesh. Bardock then easily picking him up and slapped him into the ground which caused their immediate surroundings to shake.
"B-Bardock I di-" He was interrupted by a flurry of punches going so fast that it was all a blur to Gine who clutched her now badly bruised wrist in pain, all while watching Bardock beat Corron into a mini crater where the poor Saiyan laid.
Relishing in victory Bardock lifted his opponent up and stared directly into his eyes. "Who's mighty now?" Corron was in horrible shape, his armor was falling apart, body covered in blood and bruising, face swollen, and teeth either missing or severely chipped. She would've gasped in horror had she not been in the middle of a coughing fit due to the sudden influx of air.
The couple for a moment exchanged glances until Bardock looked back at his wife's attack with such hate that it made even the most hardest Saiyans around shiver. His silence said more words that could ever be spoken in that moment and Corron fully understood the message. Touch Gine again and he'd be lucky to be blasted out of existence by a ki blast, and at worst...
He dropped Corron who quickly with all his remaining strength crawled on all fours away with the Saiyans that had watched the fight either gawked at him or went back to their business, surely to tell others of Corron's humiliating beating from Bardock.
The Saiyan with palm tree like hair then walked up to Gine, gently picked her up and with a jump flew off into the air.
Later that night the two after Gine had spent some time in the recovery machine laid in her bed, which they hadn't done in a long time. Saiyans almost never formed emotional bonds with mates and if so many also never lived together.
Gine though comfortable in her husband's embrace, she stayed awake thinking about the events of that day.
"Please go to sleep Gine." Grumbled Bardock sleepily, "I cant sleep if your tail keeps rubbing against my leg."
A blush formed on her face in embarrassment, it always did that when she was nervous or stressed out. "S-sorry sweetheart." She apologized and she slightly curled herself in a ball and tucked her tail in shame but Bardock pulled her closer.
"It's about today isn't it?" He asked softly, answering his own question for him but she silently nodded. Gine deep down knew she was simply at fault or at least that was what she thought in her own mind.
"Had I not been born weak, none of that would've happened and you wouldn't have to safe me." She loved her hushand with everything she had but yet Gine in this moment though she was unworthy of being Bardock's mate, the fact that both of their sons were born weak was a shinning example of Gine's failure as a Saiyan.
Bardock took a moment to respond, after all he wasn't a man who liked to express his emotions like she did. "Yes, it is true Gine you are the weakest Saiyan I know and the oddest of them all." He was also extremely truthful which made the comment sting even more, her mind dove into a spiral of self doubt and insecurities. "Raditz had to be sent off world and Kakarot will most likely have to as well. Perhaps my children would've been stronger had I found mated with another woman."
Ouch, that one hurt, but he continued. "But..." There was a pause. "You have cared more about my health far more then anyone else by far, you continued my bloodline and now our Raditz now is apart of prince Vegeta's unit."
His embrace slightly tightened, nowhere near enough to make her uncomfortable but just enough to make her cozy in his arms. "You may be a weakling Gine, you are my Gine and mine alone."
She let out a quiet giggle, "If this is you trying to be romantic then I'm confused how we even got married." Gine rolled over to face her husband who began to smirk. "You wouldn't get off my arm, so I decided to make it official."
He had his own way of showing he cared, it wasn't as gentle as her's but she knew he was as genuine as you could get. "Then Im never letting go for as long as I live." She gave a small peck on Bardock's forehead to which she could've swore a small blush formed on his cheeks.
"I love you." Those three words were not used very often by Saiyans, you'd have more luck finding a blue apple in space then a Saiyan even thinking of them but those were the best words she could use.
"Goodnight Gine." She never heard him say the L word but she excepted that too, it was all the same for her. Once she snuggled her head on his chest, her insecurities vanished like mist in the morning air. That was why she loved him, he was strong and yet caring, somewhere in that force of a man was a heart, not a generous as her's but one non the less.
The two tails wrapped around each other as the two drifted off the sleep, or at least until Bardock opened his mouth. "I had to go on a purge mission on planet Kanassa tomorrow." She responded by letting out a small pout.
"You just had to ruin the moment didn't you?" "What? Forgot to tell you earlier." Gine rolled her eyes, typical Bardock. Then the two, this time with no interruptions, falls asleep in each other's company but little do they know, fate will soon be changed forever.
