Chapter 2.) The end of planet Vegeta

"Lord Frieza plans on exterminating the Saiyans!"

Bardock's words rung around inside her head like an echo in a cave. He wasn't one to lie or get things confused but it had to wrong. She thought of her son Raditz who was still not back from his mission and little Kakarot who was still in his nursing capsule before feeling a horrible feeling creep into her stomach at the realization that if Bardock was true then...

She shook her head, "N-no! It can't be! It has to be your wounds. Your in no condition to be waltzing around." He clearly had seen better days as he had literally kicked the door down to her home bloodied and armor chipped revealing a small bit of his chest.

"So what Gine?" He shot back, "I can't just sit back while the bastards that killed my team plan on destroying the Saiyan race!"

It was all too much for her and her knees gave way, Bardock grabbing her in the nick of time and lifting her back on her feet. "Gine, you need to focus. I know this is a lot but let me explain." He said as he guided her to the dining room and pulled out a seat for her before taking his own seat.

"What the heck's going on Bardock. First you don't say anything to me for a week, I hear your all beat up and now you're telling me we're all going to die?" Her husband took a deep breath as his left hand that was on the table turned into a fist.

"I-I..." He hesitated but he continued on. "It started on planet Kanassa. It was going according to plan when some guy sneaked attacked me, blabbing on about how I'd see the Saiyans experience the same fate as his people before I took him out. I didn't believe him at first but all week I've been getting these flashes."

She raised an eyebrow, what did planet Kanassa have to do with this? Having notice the look on her face Bardock nodded.

"Yeah, Ive...Its only for a moment but I can see small glimpses into the future, of planet Vegeta exploding and that bastard Frieza's laughing. And I know I sound crazy, I myself thought for a bit I lost a screw or two." He explained, tapping a finger on his nogin. "But I was unfortunately proven wrong."

"Planet Meat." Mutters Gine, "I was told Lord Frieza himself ordered for us to be sent there for a mission, that was when I saw of a vision of them all dead." His face darkened and he ran his fingers across the red bandanna on his forehead.

Bardock gritted his teeth, "It was too late by the time I got there." He said with venom in his voice. "Frieza's men betrayed them and they had the gall to brag how he was going to destroy the Saiyans. I managed to just barely fend them off and hitch a pod outta there."

She was stunned, and there was the big question; why? "B-but why?! We're his most valuable soldiers! The Saiyans have never rebelled against emperor Frieza." Bardock crossed his arms and let out a luagh.

"Hahaha!! That's the point Gine! We haven't yet! He's afraid of the Super Saiyan." To destroy the home world of his finest fighters was one thing, but to do it over a children's tale was a whole other rabbit hole.

"It's a legend! An urban legend made to inspire children." But Bardock scoffed. "He doesn't care Gine! If there is even one person who could rival his power and make him wet himself, imagine a whole race. With Zarbon yapping about that It makes him even more of a slimy lizard."

But things suddenly clicked for her, "So that's why Frieza ordered all the Saiyans on Vegeta. That thing about an announcement was just a lie!"

She was at a loss for words at the moment, who wouldn't if they were told they were marked up by extermination by the lord Frieza himself. She desperately wanted this to be a bad dream where she'd wake up any minute now living out her existence with her sons. "Have you told the others? Does the ki-" "He's dead! And no one wants to listen to a damn word I say!"

In a fit of anger he slammed his first onto the table, leaving a hand sized dent in it and frightened Gine more then she already was. Bardock took a few seconds to calm himself down and recollect, opening his mouth to speak but no words coming out.

The two for a minute sat in complete silence with Bardock trying to think of a plan while Gine began to comprehend that her world was quiet literally coming to an end.

"But there's one thing we can do." Gine eyed her husband. "We can steal some attack pods for us to escape in. I'll get them while you take Kakarot out of his capsule, then we'll meet at the old village east of the capital."

The plot was insane! Bardock would have to steal three precious pod all while fighting guards and making sure they got to space before the Frieza force could blast them to smithereens. She concluded that Frieza likely had a contingent for this very scenario but it was better then awaiting certain death.

"Gine, do you trust me?" She nodded her head yes. "Of course! I just hope that this plan works."

Bardock then stood up with his iconic cool smirk. "Your sweet, but sometimes you worry too much for your own good so let me worry about all that. Just get our son, we don't have much time."

He was right and they needed to be quick if they wanted any chance of survival. Gine without hesitation got up and bolted to the front door before stopping just as her hand reached the nob. She stood there for a second and ran back to Bardock before giving him the tightest hug yet. "Please be safe.."

Bardock chuckled, "What did I say 'bout worrying?"

Later after a ten minute journey through the capital she arrived at the nursery where she weaved her way past other mothers and facility workers before ending a room, setting her sights on a capsule with a little Saiyan baby floating in the clear blue liquid meant to sustain the youth.

The mother with shaky fingers dialed in the commands to empty the capsule of the liquid and allow Kakorot to be taken out but it was denied.

'Dang it!' She tried again and again she was denied access. "The infant is not ready for extraction." Said a robotic bot from the console situated on the capsule. "You must wait for three more days." "But I don't have-" She in frustration let out a small growl and gripped at her shaggy hair.

With no other choice, Gine elbowed the glass separating her from her son.

Crack!

The glass was covered in a web of cracks from the impact but it didn't break.

Crack!

It still wouldn't break?! She be damned before she'd let her son die!

CRACK!!

With one final hit which involved all her strength she shattered the glass and the liquid gushed out while little Kakarot stirred from this sudden change from relative comfort to being out in the air.

Gine gently disconnected him from the machine and lifted him up in the air, she momentarily forgot the impending doom and relished in the fact she was holding her son for the first time since he was born. "My baby!" She smiled the biggest smile of her life in joy but this was put to an end with Kakarot beginning to whimper.

Acting fast she pulled out a white blanket she brought with her and wrapped him in it like a present before softly rocking him. "Its ok dear, mommy's here." She soothed.

But reality kicked in as the door to the room burst open and revealed a female administrator followed by an assistant. "What do you think your doing?! He's not ready to be taken out!" Her shouting had startled both of them and to make that situation worse, Kakarot began to cry, and cry he did.

It was so loud that the two nursery workers had to cover their ears while Gine just had to deal with his cries as she of course was holding him. "Y-you don't understand! I have to take him home." But the administrator just shook her head.

"No, it is you that don't understand." She stated, "You've damaged a capsule and took him out without permission or any reason. Once the authorities reach here, you'll-" She was cut short by Gine blasting a ki blast just strong enough to send them flying but not enough to kill them.

She ran as fast as she could out of there and pushed passed anyone in her way. Her breath shortened and her heartbeat increased in speed. She had to make sure he could live, with several workers behind her tail she flew through the run door and into a crowd as to lose then all while trying to keep Kakarot quiet which could be better said then done.

After several minutes of running through alleyways and whatever establishment she could find, she thanks to her speed, Kakarot settling down, and a good bit of luck managed to successfully avoid any attempts at finding her. Once she was sure she was in the clear she set her sights east just as Bardock ordered her so but only hoped that her husband was ok.

As soon as she left the urban jungle that was the capital she pushed herself to the limit while she using the powerful muscles in her legs to hop her way to the rendezvous point in record time, whatever once of tiredness in her body went away as she saw her husband in the distance.

"Bardock!" She shouted before dropping down just in front of him, hugging him with her free arm. "And you got the pods!" Her joy was very quickly shattered as she looked at them.

There was only two.

She was confused, why was the other one? "W-where's the third pod?" He said nothing as he looked down at the little lady with his usual look. This wasn't right, what was going on?!

"Bardock! Where's the other pod?" "There is no other pod. There never was another pod Gine."

Her brain was instantly attacked from all sides by possible reasons why, the biggest was that he was leaving her behind. She began to choke up but managed to speak.

"So your saying your leaving me here? After all we've been through?" Bardock raised an annoyed eyebrow.

"The hell?! No Gine Im not!! It's me that's going to die here!!!" She flinched from his sudden change of voice levels and stepped back while Kakarot began to cry once more. Seeing the pain in her eyes made his expression softened at her before he looked down at their second born. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell."

"What do you mean your sorry Bardock?!!" She shouted back, her usually soft and caring voice cracking. "Your telling me your just going to die here?!! That my husband is just going to give up? My Bardock would never just quit!"

The Saiyan man felt his heartstrings rip but he couldn't show it, it'd make it harder for everyone. "If we go together we'll be found for sure. If I stay and fight then you will have a chance to escape."

She couldn't believe a word he was saying. 'He going to face Frieza all by himself?!!' She thought. "Your insane!" She told him but he smiled. "I sure as hell may be but I'm not going out without a fight."

"I don't care about fighting!" She pleaded, "I want us to be together, as a family." Tears poured down her delicate face as she broke down crying. "Don't leave me alone." She then without warning buried her face in his chest while she sobbed. Her husband was going to die and there was nothing she could do about it.

Bardock understanding the emotional vulnerability his wife was in and patted her on the back but they didn't have much time left before they Frieza was going to destroy the planet. "Gine."

She didn't respond, "Gine." He said again but this time in a more firm voice. "You and Kakarot will do fine. Im sending you to a planet named Earth, the inhabitants are weaker then even you and there's plenty of food to sustain you." She finally looked up at him and shook her head. "No...if that's how it is then I want to stay."

Bardock was dumbfounded. "What?! The whole pount's to save you guys!" But he underestimated the loyalty of his lover. "Frieza will surely kill our Raditz, so let's die together as a family. I-I'm too weak to be called a Saiyan, I can't go on without you."

It broke him, he wasn't emotional but that was what caused for the first time in his life if he correct, a tear went down his face. "I understand, and I'm so, so sorry..."

Without warning he ripped Kakarot from her hands and placed him in a pod before closing the hatch much to her horror.

"Bardock wait!!" She grabbed his arm but he pushed her off, punching in some more code until the craft elevated off the ground and shot off into the starry night sky. He then lifted her off the ground and held her bridal style with no effort.

She tried kicking and punching but it was useless, she was getting in no matter if she wanted to or not. "Bardock wait." He stopped before he could place her in. "Are you sure you have to stay?"

He silenty nodded, and she was placed inside the attack pod with no more resistance. "I promise you Gine, if I stop him then I'll retrieve you two immediately."

Bardock closed the already small gap and kissed his wife with as much vigor and passion as their first kiss was. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer but he refused to deepen the kiss. She watched as he closed the hatch, knowing that it would be the last time they'd ever see each other again.

Gine placed her hands on the glass, Bardock doing the same with the same small smile on his face. "If this is the end then I'll be patiently waiting for you one day. Make sure that our son survives and becomes stronger, hell, stronger then I ever was." He then said one final sentence.

"I love you."

The pod began to rise in the air and she began to hyperventilate, this couldn't be!! Not her Bardock!!!

"Bardock! Bardock!" She screamed as her pod shot out of the atmosphere of planet Vegeta and into the vacuum of space towards Earth. The momentum threw her back and she bumped the back of her head into the seat, disorienting her for a second before she rushed back to the glass to see what appeared to be a space craft hovering over the planet releasing a horde of troops towards one tiny dot, it was her Bardock!

Even squinting her eyes didn't make it any easier to see but he despite what seemed to be the entire Frieza force on him inched every closer to the ship. 'That's it!' She thought, 'Go get them!'

Meanwhile Bardock was simply rushing towards Frieza's ship while doing his very best to keep his goons off him, blasting one while grabbing one by the leg and throwing him into another. They were all individually laughably weak against him, an utter insult that Frieza would even consider sending weak troops against him but he knew they were expendable and relied on overwhelming numbers.

"Freiza!!!" He roared, "Come out and fight me like a man!" Bardock saw a soldier rapidly approaching him from the right with his arm cocked back readying for a strike. Without even breaking a sweat he deflected the punch, jammed the fingers from both of his hands inside the mouth of the poor bastard before ripping the jaw from his skull. Throwing the still alive and wailing soldier to the side so he could deal with the others.

He growled in frustration. "This is getting real annoying." He said right before at least a dozen or so dogpiled him in hopes of slowing him down only to be blasted away by a powerful ki blast.

"Frieza!!!" He shouted once more as his Saiyan blood circulated through his veins, apart of him though understanding the gravity of the situation, was having fun easily swatting off Frieza's army will relative ease. Fighting was after all, the sole purpose of a Saiyan.

Once he came closer and closer, he saw something exit the top of the spaceship and grinned. As if a magic spell was all casted upon them, Bardock and the Frieza force stopped their one sided curb stomp to look at the emperor of the universe himself who decided to remind everyone he was there.

Sitting in his hover chair with his tail over the side, he gave Bardock a slow clap. "I must say your animalistic screaming has entertained me. The fact you both survived and handled with the Ginyu force well is no small feat, dare I say, impressed me."

Bardock wanted to blast him out now but he wasn't stupid, Frieza was incredibly strong even by Saiyan standards. He killed King Vegeta and his elites for crying out loud. But the Saiyan decided he would let the lizard ramble on, get over confidence, and find an opening to exploit so he could hopefully defeat the tyrant.

"But you and your disgusting kind must be dealt with." But Bardock shot back fiercely.

"Be dealt with huh? Imagine being so pathetic and weak that your willing to kill off your best assets because of a legend, folklore passed from generation to generation to encourage the youth to train even harder." Bardock smiled at his own remark while a few gasps from the soldiers could be heard but Frieza appeared to not even be annoyed by his words.

Frieza chuckled a little. "The problem is not 'a legend', it is your nature. If you are too stupid to understand then I'll have to explain for you. My predecessors made the mistake of giving you technology in hopes that you'd be loyal servants to our empire, but they were oh so wrong."

The Saiyan kept his guard up as his foe continued with his speech, ready to strike like a viper when the time arrived.

"You filthy monkeys are volatile, untamable like mindless rats. The Saiyans were primitive animals before we arrived and needed help to erase the Tuffles. Yes you were good at your job but you were always planning, scheming behind our backs like the ungrateful opportunistic rats you are. You are three times more unintelligent as your strong, crude as you are untrustworthy, and arrogant as you are disgusting. Though my father tolerated you, I've always disliked your kind just as my grandfather before me did. Just the mere thought of you makes me feel physically ill with disgust, let alone the thought of you retched monkeys...reproducing. The Saiyans are unworthy to exist, therefore I herby decree that the Saiyans are to be stripped of their recognition as a race and must be totally exterminated with extreme prejudice."

He himself, the one who wished to destroy his species, had given his reasoning and was even more pathetic than he imagined but he scoffed with a wide grin on his face.

"If that's how you feel then its quiet mutual you oversized lizard. We're done working for you, its time we did what we want to do now!!! I wanna see if you'll fight me like a man or cower behind your equally pathetic army."

He was hooked on the adrenaline rushing through his body, as a matter of fact he never felt more alive. He saw Frieza laugh and smack his hover chair with his fist.

"Oh you foolish ape. If a fight's your itching then I shall give you the honor of dueling me in combat." He got out of his hover chair and got instead of a normal battle stance, put his arms out as if to dare him to attack.

"This'll be fun!" Bardock rushed towards Frieza and threw a punch with the latter dodged effortlessly before he countered with a swift punch to the gut.

It suddenly became a blur as the two exchanged a flurry of punches and kicks but Frieza hit harder then Bardock and less drained in terms of stamina, all while Frieza gave him a coy smirk as if to mock him.

In a flash one of Bardock's punches connected and sent the emperor flying back a small distance, before with a hand wiped blood from the corner of his lip.

"Good job monkey." He sarcastically complemented to Bardock who was in even worse shape then before their brief battle. "But you have only extended your life by a minute or so, I'm afraid your resistance has been for not."

But Bardock wouldn't except it, he had to fight for his life, his family, for the honor and survival of his people. In the corner of his left eye he saw two small objects speeding through space far off in the distance, it was Gine and Kakarot!

His body though exhausted and thoroughly abused hadn't yet failed him so he wouldn't go out quietly. He with the boost of the knowledge that his family now depended on him to keep Freiza distracted began to charge up a very powerful ki attack, far larger then he had ever done previously in his entire life.

"DIE FRIEZA!!!!" He bellowed with all his might as he launched the attack, the size of a large comit it rocketed forward and Frieza didn't even dodge but took it, engulfed in explosion and consequential smoke.

Everyone stood there stunned as maybe, just maybe, Frieza had been wiped from the face of the universe with bits of his atoms vaporized but Bardock's celebration was killed before it could even start by maniacal laughter the only grew louder and louder.

Once the smoke cleared he could see Frieza with a crazed look with a giant supernova like ball of energy forming from his finger. "It's been quiet fun honestly! But the legend, planet Vegeta, the Saiyans and the proud Bardock dies today!!!"

It was so massive that there was no point trying to dodge or block it though the portion of the Frieza force who were in the path of the attack did try but not Bardock, he would go out like a true Saiyan.

With everything he had left he fired a blast that was much smaller then the previous one but with just as much passion put behind it. The blast was pushed back without resistance and despite his best effort, was engulfed by the unbearable heat as he felt his body disintegrate.

Then one final vision came into his mind. It was Frieza with a terrified expression staring down a young man with jet black palm tree hair in orange clothing along side a shorter, more older woman also with black hair but short and shaggy. They both were in fighting position oozing with power. Dispite the pain he smiled, the Saiyans would be avenged and her wife would become the strong woman he hoped she'd be. And with his last moments he shouted to the top of his lungs, "KAKAROOOT!!!!!!!!"

With that, Bardock was no more and the rest of the Saiyans watched helplessly as the supernova crashed into the side of the planet, tearing through like a hot blade through butter and planet Vegeta exploded the moment the supernova came into contact with the planet's core.

It was short and violent, but in the end every single man, woman, and child on the planet had been wiped from existence. The Saiyans who valued strength and pride over all else had been dealt with and the few remaining to Frieza's knowledge would serve like lapdogs if he didn't want to waste the energy hunting them done.

But unknown to him, two pods had escaped and currently on route to a backwater planet in the far reaches of the galaxy. One pod had escaped the explosion while the other wasn't as fortunate.

Gine couldn't even comprehend the destruction of her home world when a shockwave from the explosion rocked her pod, causing the pod to temporarily plunge the sole surviving Saiyan woman into darkness before the lights came back but red.

"Interface damaged." Relayed a computer voice, "Enacting emergency checkup." Gine felt her heart rate increase as the fear that she'd die in space without her son overcame her. "Checkup complete, beginning cyro-sleep procedure."

A hissing could be heard as the sedative chemical filled the compartment, causing Gine to become very sleepy very quickly. She didn't really want to sleep, she had her son to worry about but it was too late. Before she fell into deep slumber, she heard one final message.

"Estimated travel time: one-" But Gine had already fallen asleep and would not wake until she reached her destination which was the blue planet known as Earth.

Hello again, as you see if decided to let Bardock duke it out with Frieza after his racist speech. To those who are wondering if I intend to complete the story, hell yeah I am! What's the point of posting and adding to a story that goes permanently Hiatus? Sure the update schedule may not be considered and the wait time may be a bit long but as the holy book states; "Let thou cook!" Please leave a review so I can taje what you say and make this work great, goodbye!
