6 Incredible Heroes Times 2

Party With a Robot

It was dusk in Metroville when Wasabi drove his car through a neighborhood with Heathcliff following him in Fred's limo.

They stopped when they came to Tony's house and Wasabi looked at Violet as he asked, "Is this the place?"

Violet smiled as she nodded and said, "Yeah, this is Tony's house."

Hiro looked out the window and smiled as he said, "Nice place."

They could see people from Violet's school partying inside and lights were flashing and stuff as they could see the party had started.

Wasabi parked his car while Fred got out of his limo and said, "Okay Heathcliff, I'll call you when it's time to pick us up."

Heathcliff nodded and drove the limo away while Violet got out of Wasabi's car and watched the others start to get out. They were taking their time as they tried to get Baymax out, so Violet went to the front door as she opened Tony's door and walked inside. She looked around and saw kids from her school dancing, eating, and socializing with each other. In the den there was a DJ with a laptop playing music while a mirror ball reflected lights and kids happily danced.

Lila and Kari came as they happily exclaimed, "Violet!"

She happily greeted them as she said, "Hey Kari, Lila."

Lila happily raised her fists as she cheered, "This party is great!"

She and Kari both walked into the other room to dance while Tony came up and said, "Hey Violet. Glad you could make it."

She showed a friendly smile as she said, "Hi Tony. Thanks for the invite."

Suddenly she got nervous as she heard Larry's voice say, "Violet! Hey!"

She looked to see Larry walking toward her with a charming smile, Violet looked at Tony and said, "You invited him?!"

Tony shook his head as he said, "No! He heard about the party and just showed up. He knew it was an open invite so I couldn't turn him away."

Larry walked up to Violet wearing a stylish outfit as he pulled out a flip comb and ran it through his hair vainly.

He put it back in his pocket stopped in front of Violet as he slyly said, "Hey Vi, great party isn't it?"

Violet smiled nervously as she said, "Yeah, it's great."

Larry smiled egotistically as he said, "I heard about this and I just had to show up. It's just not complete without me to liven things up."

Violet smiled awkwardly as she indulged Larry and said, "Oh yeah. You're the life of the party."

He vainly showed off his clothes to her as he said, "What do you think of my new look? It's something I've been saving for an occasion like this."

Violet felt very uncomfortable as she kept smiling and politely said, "You look nice."

Larry took a step closer to her as he slyly said, "It's a nice warm up for the Homecoming dance this weekend. Don't you think?"

Violet's smile vanished as she became uncomfortable and said, "Uh… I guess."

Just then, Hiro opened the door behind her as he and his friends entered the house and looked around in delight.

Hiro walked up next to Violet smiling happily as he said, "Whoa! This is some party! Hey Larry. Hi Tony."

Larry's smile vanished when he saw Hiro and noticed his friends behind him, then he glared and asked, "What are you doing here?"

Hiro pointed at Tony as he answered, "Tony invited me yesterday after I beat you in that bot fight."

Violet nodded as she said, "Yeah, I was there, so I decided to come too. I showed them how to get here while they gave me a ride."

Larry repressed his rage as he said, "That was nice of them."

Tony smiled at Hiro before turning around and cupping his mouth while he said, "Glad you guys could make it. Everyone! Hiro's here!"

All the other guests got excited as they looked at Hiro and the others as one boy said, "Sweet! It's the Bot Champion!"

Hiro showed a flattered smile as he said, "Oh I don't know if I'd say champion."

Larry stood next to him as he angrily said, "Yeah! He's no champion! He beat me but that's all!"

Baymax looked at Larry as he raised his right finger and projected a video of the bot fight on his chest while saying, "Yes. He defeated your robot with extreme efficiency."

The others smiled while Larry was embarrassed as he looked at Baymax and said, "He wasn't that good!"

Baymax projected a screen showing a time and held up his right thumb as he said, "The total time elapsed in your match was 15.6 seconds. Way to go."

Violet covered her mouth as she tried not to laugh while Larry angrily said, "I could've still beat him!"

Baymax then project a video of Larry and Hiro's avatars on Mind Smith fighting as Baymax said, "Hiro defeated you with the same amount of skill he has shown on Mind Smith. He has defeated you on that game four times."

All the other guests started laughing until Hiro smiled and said, "Okay, okay, enough of that. Thanks for inviting me here. I hope you don't mind, I brought my friends too."

Go Go, Wasabi, Fred, and Honey Lemon all waved at the guests who smiled at them and showed admiration and respect. Violet, Hiro and the others started walking into the den where everyone else was dancing, some kids came up to them and smiled at they started talking to the others. Larry had his arms folded as he glared at Hiro and his friends, showing much jealousy and hatred as everyone at the party seemed to love them.

Kari came up and happily said, "And you brought Baymax!"

Hiro smiled at Kari as he said, "Yeah, I had to bring Baymax. I've been waiting for a chance to show off his new dance mode."

Baymax raised his right finger as he stated, "Dancing is good exercise for your cardiovascular system as well as muscular strength and motor fitness."

Kari smiled as she pulled out her phone and showed the video of Baymax with Jack-Jack as she happily said, "Oh my god that sounds great! I'd love to see that! It's almost as great as this video of him with Jack-Jack!"

Honey Lemon smiled as she looked at Kari's phone and said, "I posted that."

Kari smiled at Honey Lemon before staring at the video as she happily said, "Thank you for that. I love this video! It's just so cute. He handles Jack-Jack so well."

Violet nodded as she said, "Yeah, Jack-Jack really loves Baymax and Baymax is really good at Jack-Jack."

Hiro smiled proudly as he said, "Baymax's programming includes baby care."

Kari smiled at them as she happily said, "I love babies. I used to have a job babysitting before I quit."

Hiro curiously asked, "Why'd you quit?"

Kari glanced around with uncertainty as she said, "I'm not sure actually. I think it has something to do with this weird nightmare I keep having. I keep having this nightmare that I'm being attacked by some kind of flaming monster baby."

Hiro and Violet's eyes widened nervously as they looked at each other, Violet nodded to confirm his suspicions.

Hiro then smiled awkwardly as he said, "Yeah, that's really weird. But dreams never make sense."

Kari then smiled as she looked at another video on her phone and happily said, "This video is almost as cute as this one of Slow Clap Cat."

She smiled as she showed the video to Hiro and Violet and Hiro smiled as he fondly said, "Oh yeah. Mochi."

Kari and Violet were confused as they said, "What?"

Hiro pointed at Kari's phone and said, "That's my cat Mochi. He's back home with my aunt in the Lucky Cat Café."

Kari was shocked as she said, "Wait! Slow clap cat is your cat!"

Hiro smiled proudly as he said, "Yep."

Violet was impressed as she said, "Wow."

Honey Lemon smiled at Kari as she pointed at her phone and happily said, "I posted that video too! I live for cat videos!"

Kari immediately got excited as she said, "You guys are amazing!"

She and Honey Lemon walked away together while Tony, having overheard everything, smiled at Hiro and said, "Wow! You're like a celebrity."

Hiro smiled a bit cockily as he said, "Yeah, I guess."

Larry kept glaring at Hiro with hatred and jealousy with his arms still folded, suddenly the music stopped and everyone looked at the DJ.

One of the guests spoke up and asked, "What happened to the music?"

The DJ stared at his laptop with an angry expression as he said, "It's my laptop again! It always does this! And just when we were starting to get the groove on!"

Hiro spoke up as he generously said, "Maybe I can fix it."

Larry held his hand out as he exclaimed, "No! I'll do it!"

Larry walked up to the DJ and shoved him out of the way as he said, "I'm good with computers. I can handle this."

He tried typing on the laptop but he made no luck as he started to get angry and started pounding on the laptop when Hiro came to him.

He stopped him and said, "Whoa! Take it easy Larry. It'll never work if you smash it."

Larry glared at Hiro as he stepped aside and said, "Okay college boy, let's see if you can fix it."

Hiro started typing on the laptop as he said, "I'll give it a shot."

After a minute or so he got the laptop working and the music started again and the DJ smiled at Hiro as he said, "Nice one Hiro! You're the bomb!"

Larry folded his arms as he said, "Big deal! I could've done that!"

One of Tony's friends glared at Larry as he said, "No you couldn't!"

Larry glared at him and said, "Yes I could!"

Baymax looked at Larry and honestly stated, "No you could not."

Everyone was surprised as they looked at Baymax as Violet said, "What?"

Baymax kept staring at Larry as he said, "Larry is lying. He could not have fixed the laptop like Hiro did."

Larry was shocked as he looked at Baymax and defensively said, "How do you know?!"

Baymax projected an image of Larry's eyes and showed a heart beating as he replied, "Your eyes dilated and your heartrate increased when you made the statement. This indicates you were lying."

Everyone was amazed as Violet smiled at Baymax and said, "Wow! Baymax is like a walking lie detector."

Kari smiled at Baymax as she said, "Wow."

One of Tony's friends pointed at Larry as he gloated, "Which means you can't fool us! Hiro is way smarter than you!"

The DJ smiled at Hiro as he happily said, "Yeah! The party is saved by the boy genius from San Fransokyo!"

He high-fived Hiro and the other guests happily cheered Hiro's name while Go Go, Fred, Wasabi, and Honey Lemon smiled at him with pride.

Hiro showed a flattered expression as he walked to join the others while he said, "Thanks guys but it was nothing. Now let's get this party started!"

Larry watched him as he showed more hatred as he had just been upstaged by Hiro once again and embarrassed by Baymax.

Hiro walked to Baymax and opened his access port as he inserted a purple chip into the third slot and said, "Okay Baymax, show us what you got!"

Baymax's access port retracted back into him and he said, "Five, six, seven, eight."

He then he started dancing to the music, in sync with the beat and flowing with the music as all the guests watched him. He danced to the beat and showed off impressive dance moves as everyone clapped and cheered for Baymax. Baymax did the worm, then he did the moonwalk, then the Egyptian, then the Batusi, and finally he did the robot.

Go Go watched and looked at Hiro as she said, "The robot. Really?"

Hiro shrugged with a smile while Lila happily said, "I think he's great! Go Baymax!"

Baymax then jumped and did a split as he hit the floor and everyone clapped while Baymax said, "I am stuck."

Some of the guests laughed as they helped Baymax up and started dancing to the next song while he danced too.

Hiro smiled as he looked around and said, "Oh I love this song."

Violet smiled at him as she said, "Me too!"

They both shut their eyes as they started dancing to the beat while Baymax and the others danced behind them. Wasabi, Fred, Honey Lemon, and Go Go also joined the fun as they danced too while one of Tony's friends recorded a video of all of them with his phone. Hiro was happily swinging his fists from side to side as he dance sideways toward Violet while she did the same toward him, both with their eyes closed.

They both bumped into each other and smiled awkwardly as they simultaneously said, "Sorry."

They showed sheepish expressions and then Hiro held his hand out toward Violet, she reluctantly took his hand and they started dancing together. He twirled her around for a moment before lashing her out, then she came back toward him with a big smile as she held his other hand. He twirled her around to the upbeat music and she happily smiled back at him as she let go of one of his hands and held hers out. He pulled her back toward him and dipped her as he she leaned in his left arm with a big smile, then they both stood up and kept dancing while some of the others watched them. Larry leaned against a wall as he watched Hiro and Violet dance as he glared with much hatred and anger.

Sometime later, Hiro and Violet were standing on the second floor of Tony's house as they leaned on the railing, looking down at everyone partying downstairs. Baymax stood behind them as he stared at the two of them and watched them as they stood together.

Hiro smiled happily as he said, "You know, I've never been to a party like this before. I'm really glad I came."

Violet smiled at him as she nodded and said, "Me too."

Hiro was a bit surprised as he said, "Yeah, and it seems like almost everyone here likes me."

Violet smiled at him as she said, "Yeah, you've become pretty popular around here, and you've only been here for five days."

Hiro was flattered as he said, "Wow! I wish I was this popular back home."

Violet was surprised as she looked at Hiro and said, "What? I thought you were really popular back home."

Unbeknownst to them, Larry walked upstairs and noticed them as he hid behind a wall started spying on Hiro and Violet.

Hiro shook his head as he said, "No. Back home when I was in high school I didn't really have any friends. No one wanted to hang out with me since I was just a kid. Tadashi was the only friend I had back then. When I got into SFIT I had Ethel, Fred, Marcus, and Heather and they're great friends but no one else at SFIT really wants to hang out with me that much."

Violet stared forward as she said, "I can relate. Until last year Kari was pretty much my only friend for a while. I like her but she can be kind of annoying. Back then I just wanted to hide and turn invisible because I thought I was a freak."

Hiro smiled at Violet as he sincerely said, "Violet you're not a freak. You're smart, brave, strong, tough, and cool. You're incredible."

Violet looked at him with a flattered smile while also acknowledging his pun, Larry glared as he whispered, "Kissup."

Violet smiled back at Hiro as she happily said, "Thanks Hiro. You're really great too. You're not a weirdo. You're cool, funny, and you're a genius. You're awesome."

Hiro rubbed the back of his head with a flattered smile as he rubbed the back of his head and said, "Thanks Violet."

They both looked down at all the others partying downstairs and Violet smiled as she scooted sideways closer to Hiro while leaning on the railing. Soon they were touching and Hiro blushed as he looked at the back of Violet's head while she had a big smile on her face. Larry stood behind the wall as he watched them and glared furiously at Hiro as he gritted his teeth.

He was about to go over to them when Violet suddenly said, "Hey, I gotta use the bathroom. I'll be right back."

She started walking away and Hiro smiled as he said, "Okay, I'll be waiting."

Violet walked back downstairs as Larry hid behind the wall so she wouldn't see him, then when she was gone she went up to Hiro from behind.

Hiro heard him coming and turned around as he said, "Hey Larry. How do you like the party?"

Larry was shocked as he asked, "How did you know I was there?"

Hiro smiled smugly as he said, "Dude, you're no ninja. Trust me."

Larry glared at him with hatred as he said, "You think you're so great don't you? You think you're better than me?"

Hiro became confused as he said, "What?"

Larry showed hostility as he pointed his finger at Hiro and said, "Ever since you came here all you've done is embarrass me and make me look bad! You keep stealing my spotlight! You want everyone to think you're so cool and make me look like a chump!"

Hiro held his arms up as he explained, "Whoa, take it easy. I'm not trying to make you look bad. I'm just trying to have some fun and help out."

Larry nodded as he kept glaring at him and said, "Uh huh. Sure. Just know that I'm not gonna stand by and let some college boy tourist. This is my town. My dad's technology built it, he owns so much of it, and he plans on running for mayor and he has plan that will make sure he wins the next election. No one is stealing what is rightfully mine in my town."

Hiro looked uncomfortable as he said, "Dude, relax. My friends and I are just here for your dad's expo. I'll be out of your hair at end of the week."

Larry's hatred did not subside as he pointed his finger at Hiro and said, "That's not soon enough. And another thing, stay away from Violet. She's mine! I saw her first!"

Baymax raised his right finger and showed a video of Hiro and the others eating breakfast with the Parrs as he said, "That is incorrect. We were the first to see her today when we went to the Parrs' house this morning for breakfast."

Larry looked back at him and shoved Baymax as he said, "Shut up! That's not what I meant airbag! I don't know why he brings around a junkheap like you!"

Hiro then got angry as he pointed his thumb at himself, then pointed at Baymax while he said, "Hey! You can diss me all you want, but no one talks trash about Baymax!"

Larry glared at Hiro with hostility as he said, "Oh yeah? And what are you gonna do about it?"

Hiro kept glaring at Larry, who clinched his fists like he wanted to fight him, but just then they heard Go Go say, "Ahem!"

They turned to see Go Go, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, and Fred glaring at Larry suspiciously as Go Go said, "Is there a problem here?"

Larry looked vexed as he looked back at Hiro and said, "No. No problem at all."

He walked back downstairs with a vexed expression while the four of them watched him to make sure he wasn't trying anything.

Once he was gone Hiro's expression softened as he smiled at his friends and said, "Thanks guys."

Sometime later, Hiro and Violet were in Tony's kitchen as they helped themselves to some snacks and punch.

Tony and his friends walked in, along with Kari and Lila as Tony smiled at Hiro as he happily said, "Hey Hiro. Your friends are really cool."

Hiro smiled proudly as he said, "Yeah, they are."

One of Tony's friends smiled as he said, "Marcus is a great guy."

Kari smiled fondly as she rambled, "And Heather is really great. She knows so much about chemistry, she's a great artist, she's so friendly, and she posts great internet videos. You know when I'm her age I'm going to try to be like her."

When she finally stopped Lila smiled as she said, "And Ethel's really cool and tough. I like her attitude!"

Larry was watching them all as he leaned against a wall with anger and jealousy as he folded his arms. He hated how everyone from his school was praising Hiro, and he also hated that they were right about Hiro's friends being cool.

Tony smiled but then showed a curious expression while he said, "Yeah! They're all really cool, but I have to ask, what kind of major is Fred?"

Hiro showed an amused smile as he replied, "Actually Fred's not a student. He's just the school mascot because his parents give the school a lot of money. He just came to support us in the Baxcorp Technology Expo."

They all understood as Tony simply said, "Oh."

Larry smiled as he briefly chuckled in amusement, but his small amount of joy faded as the others started praising Hiro again.

Tony's other friend smiled as he happily said, "Still, your friends are really cool, and so is that robot of yours."

Tony smiled as he happily said, "Yeah! Baymax is awesome!"

Kari smiled as she happily said, "And he's so cute."

Hiro smiled at them as he modestly said, "Thanks guys, but I can't take credit for Tadashi's accomplishment."

Tony smiled as he nodded and said, "Yeah. Your brother is a genius."

Hiro smiled as he looked down and said, "Yeah, he was."

The others were all shocked as Tony asked, "Was?"

Hiro then looked somewhat sad as Violet put her hand on his shoulder and sincerely said, "Yeah. Tadashi's no longer with us."

They were all shocked, except Larry who smiled sadistically, and Kari curiously asked, "What happened?"

Hiro kept looking down with a sad expression as he said, "I'd rather not talk about it."

Larry smiled tauntingly as he said, "What? Too sad to tell us about your late brother?"

Lila glared at Larry as she said, "Larry back off!"

The others also glared at Larry as one of Tony's friends angrily said, "Cheap shot man!"

His other friend stood by Hiro as he defensively said, "Hiro doesn't have to talk about it!"

Larry looked annoyed as he said, "What? It's not my fault his brother's gone!"

Larry stood in front of Hiro and Violet as he asserted himself and said, "Larry, I think it's time for you to go home!"

His two friends glared at Larry as they said, "Yeah!"

Larry grew angrier as he said, "Fine! This party's getting lame anyway!"

He turned and walked out in a huff while the others watched him; Hiro smiled at Tony and the others as he said, "Thanks guys."

Tony smiled kindly as he said, "No problem Hiro."

One of Tony's friends smiled as he pointed his thumb back and said, "Yeah. Don't listen to Larry. He's a creep!"

Lila smiled at Hiro as she happily said, "Yeah, who cares what he thinks. You're awesome."

Violet agreed as she smiled at Hiro and honestly said, "Yeah, and Tadashi would be proud of you."

Hiro smiled at Violet, touched by her kind words as well as the kindness all of these new kids showed him.

Suddenly another party guest came in and said, "Hey Hiro, I think something's wrong with Baymax."

Hiro and the others all walked into the den to find everyone staring at Baymax as he wabbled around as if he was dizzy.

He spoke with an intoxicated voice as he said, "5, 6, 7 late… I dance good for the phones… I'm good with babies because I'm companion for health… I got style from Edna Dance Mode… I'm fabulous and strong… You got moves and I got upgrades…"

Go Go, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, and Fred came as they started walking over to Baymax as they grabbed his arms.

Tony curiously asked, "What's wrong him?"

Hiro stared at Baymax before walking to join the others as he answered, "Nothing, his battery's just low. He needs to recharge. We should get going and get him back to his charger."

Violet followed Hiro as she added, "Yeah, I should go too. It's getting late and my dad will freak if I miss my curfew."

Everyone understood as they watched them; sometime later Hiro, Violet and the others were dragging Baymax out of Tony's house as they headed for the sidewalk.

Tony waved at them as he happily said, "Bye guys. Thanks for coming."

They all looked back at Tony as Hiro said, "Bye Tony. Great party."

Wasabi smiled as he politely said, "Yeah, thanks for the invite."

They went to Wasabi's car and noticed Heathcliff parked Fred's Limo nearby as he patiently waited for them. They all crammed Baymax into the back of Wasabi's car before Fred got in his limo while everyone else climbed into Wasabi's car before he drove off. They headed back to the Parrs' house as Wasabi parked outside it, allowing Violet to get out.

She looked back at the others and happily said, "Thanks for the ride guys."

They all smiled back at her as Go Go smiled and said, "No problem Vi."

Honey Lemon smiled as she happily said, "Yeah, we're just glad you got to have fun at the party, and we're happy to be a part of it."

Violet smiled back at all of them before looking at Hiro as she said, "I had a great time too. I'm glad you all came to the party with me. Especially you Hiro."

Hiro was flattered as he said, "Don't mention it Violet. See you tomorrow."

Violet smiled as she happily said, "Yeah. Goodnight guys."

She closed the door and they all waved "goodbye" to her as she walked up to her front door and as her parents let her in. They smiled as they waved at the others, who waved back at them before driving off as they headed back to their hotel. Once they reached the hotel, they started dragging Baymax through the lobby and to the elevator while he kept twitching and fidgeting.

They stood in the elevator as it started moving and Hiro showed a tired expression as he said, "What a day! Still, this was a lot of fun."

Go Go smiled down at Hiro as she slyly said, "Yeah, you were the life of the party. Everyone loved you. Especially Violet."

Hiro blushed nervously as he felt the others looking at him as Wasabi said, "Yeah, you two looked really good dancing together."

Honey Lemon smiled happily as she put her hands together and said, "You both were so cute!"

Fred smiled slyly and said, "Too bad they didn't play any slow songs."

Baymax twitched as he said, "Hiro and Violet are an incredible couple!"

Fred smiled happily as he said, "You do make a pretty good power couple."

Hiro looked at the others as he smiled and said, "Guys, I know what you're doing, but it's not going to work. Me and Violet are just friends."

They finally reached their floor and walked out with Baymax as Go Go said, "Come on genius. Just ask her out. You know you want to."

Honey Lemon smiled encouragingly as she said, "Yeah, I'm positive she'll say 'yes'. You two would make such a cute couple."

As they walked Hiro began to show a lock of confidence as he said, "I'm just not into Violet. And even if I was it wouldn't matter. We'll only be here for a few more days before we had back home to San Fransokyo. Then we won't see her and her family again for who knows how long."

The others were a bit saddened before Honey Lemon optimistically said, "Yes, but that doesn't mean you can't ever see her again. You can still stay in touch with each other by calling, emailing, and videochatting with each other."

Hiro looked back at them as he smiled and said, "Thanks Honey Lemon, but long-distance relationships never work out."

Fred smiled as he happily suggested, "But I can bring you back Metroville to visit her anytime. It's only a three-hour flight and we can give you a lift in my family's private jet. Or we could bring the Incredibles over to San Fransokyo for a superhero team up again."

Hiro smiled sincerely while also showing his lack of confidence as he said, "Guys, thanks, but Violet and I are just not meant to be together. Come on Baymax, let's get you recharged."

He took Baymax's hand and dragged him into his and Wasabi's hotel room, leaving the others alone with sad expressions. They knew that Hiro and Violet had feelings for each other but they felt sad that Hiro didn't believe they would be together.

Meanwhile at Larry's penthouse

Larry walked into his room as he kicked his shoes off and angrily ranted, "Hamada! Thinks he's so cool and smart! He thinks he can upstage me just because he's got those friends of his to hide behind! I'll show him! Violet will be mine!"

He stared out his window with a furious expression as he thought about everything that happened to him at the party as he angrily pounded the window.

Author's note: This is one of the longest chapters of this story so far. I wanted to include a lot of stuff in this to make it worthwhile. It shows some good character development as well as sparks building between Hiro and Violet. It's also nice to see Hiro having fun with kids his age. The kids from Violet's school all like Hiro and he's becoming popular among them. I also thought it would be good for them to hang out with the other members of Big Hero 6, another way of showing how they all think Hiro is cool. I also had to include a scene where Baymax's battery is low, it seemed perfect to have him do it at a party, making it look like they had a wild time and got drunk. This chapter also shows how Larry's jealousy and rage is growing, in addition to Hiro making him look bad he is jealous of how everyone seems to love him. Please review.
