Chapter 7: The Confrontation

22nd August 2002

The sounds of his laughing daughter rang through their small cottage home. His mother had stopped in for a visit and had brought Eleanor a new wardrobe and more treats than the girl could possibly consume.

Draco noticed that Granger had been unsettled for the past few days, refusing to tell him what was wrong each time he asked. He knew it was serious when his mother arrived armed with her gifts and Granger hadn't even so much as groaned at the new load of things for their child.

"Have you seen where Granger slipped off to?" Draco looked to his mother as he stepped into the small sitting room that was overflowing with toys. Ellie was too busy climbing her new play castle to notice her father's entrance.

"The back porch. Said she just needed a moment to clear her head." Narcissa answered as she flicked her wand and confetti flew out the tip. Ellie screamed with joy as she leaned forwards trying to catch each piece before it touched the ground and disappeared. Draco smiled at his mother and daughter for only a moment more before he excused himself to go search for his witch.

Stepping outside, Draco let out a sigh at the melancholy sight before him. Granger was rocking back and forth on the large swing that hung from the pergola. She was so lost in her thoughts that she never heard Draco approaching and startled when he sat next to her before settling into his side.

"I think you're trying to scare me into an early grave." She chided, but her words held no weight as she looked back into the wildflowers that grew near their fence.

"You might as well tell me what's going on in that head of yours," Draco felt as she stiffened against him. Silly witch always thought she was so clever.

He had already figured that it was something, but her reaction told him that it was probably something she thought would hurt him. Always the protector, his little lioness. "Was it Pansy? I know she said some awful things about your hair and that's why you're her maid of honour. I promise she actually does view you as a good friend, she's just a bit mental and doesn't understand human emotions."

"No, it's not Pansy." The sigh that fell from Granger had his heart aching for her. Whoever had hurt his witch was going to pay. "The other morning, Theo–"

Draco stood from the swing abruptly and turned to stare down at the love of his life. The rage in him was threatening to burst, but Draco bit it down. Granger wasn't going to be on the receiving end of his wrath, but he needed to know what his so-called friend had done to her. Just as he thought he was starting to heal from the hurt of losing Theo and mending their friendship, he just had to go and hurt his Granger.

"What did he do?" Draco seethed through a clenched jaw. Of course, it was Theo. Theo who had broken his heart all those years ago, and now after a night of pleasure, he'd hurt Granger. Draco's mind was racing of all the things they'd done together. Granger opened herself up and let Theo into their bed, letting him take her all because she knew there was a void in Draco that only Theo could fill.

And this is what the prick did. This is what he'd always managed to do though, so it shouldn't have come as such a surprise, but it still stung. It was worse because it was Granger that the other wizard had hurt.

"It doesn't matter," Granger's voice was so small that Draco hardly heard her. Knowing that if he pushed her too hard on the matter it would end in a row between them. She wasn't the one that Draco wanted to fight with, and he knew where he needed to be.

Walking from the porch, he heard Granger calling after him, but he didn't stop as he reached the floo in their small kitchen. He grabbed a handful of the powder from the pot on the mantle and called out the Potter's residence. Pansy would know where Theo was staying and then Draco could go confront the man who'd plagued his heart for far too long.

ooo

It had been four days since Theo had run out of Granger and Draco's home. It'd also been four days since he'd been sure that Granger's daughter and his heir were the same person. Her birthday was the ninth of May, just like his heir's. Her name was scrawled on his family tapestry. It was her without a doubt.

After leaving Granger's he'd gone back home before ordering every reprinted copy of the Daily Prophet from May of 1999. The birth announcement had been on the front page, and it shredded his heart seeing what he'd missed. A picture of Granger and Draco, both very young, holding a newborn. Eleanor Cassandra Granger, born the ninth of May to proud parents Draco Lucius Malfoy and Hermione Jean Granger.

After piecing it all together, Theo had ordered a crate of firewhisky and was working on drinking his way through it. He'd sworn that once he was done with the binger, he would get in touch with Gringotts to let them know he'd found his heir.

Maybe he could knock Granger's daughter over 'on accident' and when she scraped her knee, he could gather whatever blood she spilled to take to them. Another option that had crossed his mind was to offer to babysit the girl and take her to the bank for the paperwork and have her back before either Draco or Granger knew what he'd done.

But that was kidnapping, and a bit frowned upon. Granger would most definitely hold that technicality against him.

The sound of someone pounding on his front door pulled Theo away from the dark thoughts that had been filling his head. Theo was so inebriated that when he tried to stand from his seat to tell whoever was interrupting him to fuck off, Theo fell over and landed on his face.

With a groan, Theo rolled to his back and coughed with the pain coursing through him.

"Get. Up." Theo heard someone spat at him, but his eyes were closed while the room spun around him. "I said, get up Nott!" The person yelling at him this time kicked Theo in the side, giving him a spike of adrenaline. A wave of his wand had a sober-up potion flying into his hand that he quickly threw back.

Getting his bearings, Theo opened his eyes and saw who his assailant was. The blonde wizard standing above him looked absolutely pissed, but Theo's temper wasn't one to test.

"What the fuck do you want?" Theo growled, as he leapt from the ground. Draco was standing with his fists clenched at his sides in the office of the townhouse, uninvited and unwanted. How he'd found Theo was no shock – Pansy – so Theo didn't even bother asking the blonde.

"I know you don't give a damn about anyone but yourself but leave Granger the fuck alone. This is your only warning." Draco's lip had turned into a snarl as he stalked closer to Theo. He only stopped once he was close enough to press his chest against the other wizard's. "Why don't you do what you're best at and leave?"

Theo's chest was heaving as he stared down at the blazing silver eyes. Draco had always been so beautiful, but now he was breathtaking. His life with Granger had been exactly what he'd needed to go from the alcoholic disaster he'd been when Theo had left to the successful and confident potions master he now was.

"I'm only here until the wedding. Then don't worry, I'll be gone." Theo growled, trying not to breathe in Draco. The blonde was intoxicating, and since coming home and seeing him, it'd been difficult for Theo to resist him.

"Good. Always leaving me." Draco was so close that it wouldn't take anything for Theo to lean just slightly forwards and capture his lip. The slightly sour smell of the green apples Draco had always enjoyed laced with the honey and tea he'd most likely recently drank. It took every ounce of self-control Theo possessed to keep from closing that distance.

"You just told me to leave, so what is it, Draco? Do you want me to leave you here in England with your happy perfect little family you've built, or do you want me to stay?" Theo taunted, moving so that he was just a breath away from the blonde.

The sexual tension in the air, their close proximity, and the argument all took him back to the night he'd left Draco a drunk mess in his office and met Granger at that muggle night club. Only this time, there would be no Astoria stumbling in to break them apart. Theo was tired of waiting to take what he wanted. This wouldn't be a repeat from four years prior.

Theo reached up, grasping the back of Draco's neck and watched as the lust and rage fought inside the blonde. Tightening his hold, Theo kept Draco still, not allowing him to back away. "Tell me what you really want, Draco." Theo purred, leaving no space between them as he let his lips ghost over Draco's, breaking the last bit of restraint the other wizard had.

"You," the blonde's confession fell from him so easily. "I've always wanted you."

The small amount of self-control that Theo had snapped, and they were a wild mess of lips, teeth, tongues colliding. Their hands were frantic as they ripped at the other's clothes. The fine material of Draco's shirt tore, and the tight leather pants Theo had been wearing vanished in an instant.

Backing Draco towards the lounge, Theo kicked the nearly empty crate, the empty bottles within it breaking and the cinnamon smell of the firewhisky filled the air. Draco, with his one admission, had unearthed something inside Theo that he'd never known was there. An unhinged, uncontrollable hunger that he had for the man in his arms.

Their night together with Granger had been, well, more than Theo could ever have dreamt for. However, his thirst for just this man, to just watch Draco squirm beneath him, was something he'd craved since their school days.

The back of Draco's knees hit the lounge and as he fell backwards, Theo easily followed. Sliding between his knees and spreading his thighs wide with the movement. His trousers still on, Theo went to work at the belt before he became too impatient and snapped his fingers to let his magic help him. The buzz from his power on Draco's skin had the blonde wizard flushed and already panting, begging for Theo.

Releasing his cock, Theo was pleased to see that he was already stiff with a bit of pre cum at his pink tip. "You've always wanted me, hm?" Theo teased, letting his lips brush over the sensitive skin. "Why didn't you ever tell me?"

"I was scared. Theo, please, I can't stand it," Draco's head dropped back as his hips thrust upwards in a desperate attempt to find Theo's mouth. "It was always going to be you, Theo."

"And what about Astoria? If it was always me, why would you have ever chosen her?" Theo asked, licking up the cum dribbling down Draco's shaft.

"It's what my father would have wanted. Theo, you're killing me." Draco thrust again, but this time Theo held his hips down with a hand as he leaned over Draco's needy form.

"Why did you never write?" Theo needed to know. Why after everything they'd been through, why had Draco forgotten him. Moved on and built a new family with Granger. Gotten his life together, but he'd never once reached out.

"I was too angry at first, I blamed you for all my hurt and was so far in the bottle that I couldn't do anything but hate you. Then after I cut back on drinking and saw what I'd actually done to you, I didn't think you'd want to hear my excuses. Blaise kept me updated on how you were doing, and I thought that you would be better off without me intruding."

Theo was stunned for a moment, unable to look away from Draco splayed out in front of him. His chest was heaving and the tears in his eyes were both from the sexual frustration and the admission he'd finally given. His face was flushed and the need for Theo was clear, but Theo didn't just want to take from Draco. He wanted everything with Draco.

"There's not an unaversive," Theo nipped at his inner thigh, causing Draco's body to jerk. "There's not a planet," Theo ran his tongue towards Draco's apex. "In fact, there's nowhere that I'd be better off without you."

"Then why did you leave?" Draco whimpered, his body trembling with every touch.

"Because, if I'd stayed, we wouldn't have been able to grow." Theo nipped Draco's leg before taking just his tip between his lips then pulling off again. "If I would have stayed, we would have ended up just like our fathers."

Draco gasped as Theo took him fully into his mouth then. Theo relaxed his throat, pulling Draco all the way in, enjoying how full he made him feel. Draco moaned while Theo used his tongue to massage the underside of his cock. The sound was so perfect that Theo swore to himself he'd do anything to continue hearing it for the rest of his days.

His life had been missing something and Theo had always felt it. Now that he was here with Draco a quivering mess under him, he knew it was him. It had always been Draco.

But now, there was more that Theo craved. He knew that there was a reason that Draco had found his way to Granger and had become the father of his heir. There was something larger at play, and at this moment with Draco under his touch, Theo wasn't going to question it.

Theo hollowed his cheeks, sucking on Draco as the blonde rocked his hips, chasing his climax. He wasn't going to last long, but that was okay. Theo didn't mind giving everything to the man under his touch. Filling him with pleasure that Theo had craved to give him for so long.

As spurts from Draco began to fill his throat, Theo drank it up, having never tasted anything so perfect. Draco's body was limp and relaxed, but Theo needed more. Now that they'd crossed the line, there was never going to come a time that Theo didn't need this man again.

Flipping Draco over to his stomach, Theo cast a lubrication charm and began to work his backside. Draco moaned in pleasure, rocking his hips back to meet Theo's fingers as he prepared him for what was to come.

"You're so tight," Theo groaned as he stretched Draco to make sure that he could take his cock. "Have you ever taken a bloke before?"

"No, Hermione's, well, adventurous. We've used plugs before, but that's it." Draco admitted, and Theo paused for a moment at the reminder of Draco's girlfriend and the mother of his heir. She was one in the same, and that was something they'd have to figure out.

"Does she know that you're here?" Theo went back to his work, holding his breath, worried what damage he might be doing to the couple.

"She knows I can't resist you. She knew I was coming here." Draco's admission over his relationship and the openness he had with Granger was surprising. Did she really not care that Theo was here doing these things to Draco while she was at home with their daughter? Was she really such a selfless person that she was willing to share her boyfriend with Theo?

Deep down, he already knew the answer. She'd been the one who'd approached Theo the other night in the pub. She'd been the one who'd initiated their activities a few nights prior. She'd even laid back and enjoyed watching Draco as he sucked Theo, just as an observer and not a participant.

At one point, she'd even excused herself for a while with the excuse of wanting to clean up, giving the men a private moment. The shimmer of magic as she cast a silencing charm hadn't gone unnoticed by Theo and as he'd laid there with Draco cradled in his arms, he'd suspected she craved Draco's happiness above her own. It only made Theo even more attracted to her.

"So, when you go home tonight and lay down next to Granger, you're going to tell her that you let me fill this tight arse of yours?" Theo asked, easing another finger inside Draco as he scissored his fingers, making sure that no damage would come to his lover. "Are you going to tell her that and then fuck her?"

"Yes," Draco's confession surprised Theo. He hadn't been expecting Draco to actually tell Granger everything that was happening between them today. "When you left the other morning, you hurt her as much as you hurt me. She's starting to like you too, though she won't admit it to me. You need to talk to her yourself, Theo."

Pulling his fingers from Draco, the blonde looked over his shoulder and met Theo's gaze. His silver eyes were hooded and as Theo lined himself up at his entrance, he could see the truth there. Inching his way past his puckered hole, Draco let out a hiss, but when Theo paused, he pushed his hips back. Draco wanted this as badly as Theo did.

Theo already knew that he needed to talk to Granger. He needed to let her know about his revelation. He didn't know how she was going to react, but knowing Draco was there to help them navigate everything, it didn't seem like such an impossible task.

"What if she hates me?" Theo asked as he bottomed out in Draco.

"You're both everything to me, that means she already is halfway to loving you too."

Whatever restraint Theo had broke. Yes, this was all coming from Draco and Theo hadn't spent a terrible amount of time with Granger, but this was what he'd needed to hear. She was the mother of his child, despite that she didn't know it yet. She had Draco's heart, and deep down Theo wanted nothing more than to get to know the witch who'd healed his love. He didn't just want to sit on the outside and observe their life, he wanted to be a part of it.

Theo pulled out until it was just his tip lingering inside Draco before he slammed back inside. Draco's back arched at the movement and Theo was a man unchained. Everything that had been holding him back. The years apart. He poured it all into fucking Draco and showing him just exactly where it was he wanted to be.

Thrusting in and out, Theo could feel the sweat dripping down his face, but he couldn't stop. His muscles were burning, but still, he pushed forwards. He was going to fill Draco and send him back to Granger. It would be his own little message to her that there was more to come where he was concerned, and the thought made him gleeful.

Draco's cries of pleasure had Theo tittering on the edge and when he knew he couldn't last any longer, his hips jerked and he was pumping Draco full. He pushed as much of himself inside the blonde as he could, but when he pulled out and saw his seed dripping from his best mate it was admittedly the most erotic sight he'd ever seen.

Draco's porcelain skin with the white cum dripping down his muscular arse. He was perfect and it was no wonder Theo had wanted him for so long. His muscles gave out, and fell on top of Draco, sprawling over the top of the lounge. Theo couldn't stop himself as he tugged Draco into his embrace as they slid to the floor.

"Swear to me that you won't be going back to America," Draco's voice was so soft that Theo could just hear it.

"I swear," Theo promised, though it wasn't just the connection he'd found with Draco. There was the complication of a little blue eyed brunette witch that Theo would have to figure out how to tell Draco about. First, he would enjoy the feeling of his wizard in his arms. He could deal with everything else later.
