When The Tables Are Turned On The Dursleys:
Chapter Twenty Three:
Author's note:
It happened as McGonagall expected, Ginny Weasley-Potter was at work when she received the letter. After putting an invisibility charm on herself, she flew directly to Hogwarts. Both Harry Potter, and Ginny were standing outside of the castle, as Harry sent out a patronus for McGonagall.
"Oh...Hi!" Harry jumped, as Ginny removed the invisibility charm.
"Hey..." She said softly, wrinkles on her forehead were increasing, Harry knew she was worried.
"it'll be okay, Gin!" He whispered, "That's why we are here!"
A silver patronus in form of cat came running around, and danced around them. The door opened at once, and Harry and Ginny made their way to the Headmistress's office, past the gargoyle, all the area Harry knew so well.
"Come in!" A firm yet soft voice spoke from inside. "Ah, Harry...Ginny!" She sighed. "Sit down!"
"What is happening, McGonagall?" Ginny put her broomstick on the floor. Her robes had two 'H's' displayed in the front. Ever since Albus had gone to Hogwarts, and Hermione had suggested tat Lily should join a muggles school till she is ready to go Hogwarts, Ginny started playing for the Holy Harpies again.
"And again!" Harry said quietly, "Not to mention that!"
"I know, I know..." She sighed again, "I can't do anything, but I'll be helping her through the game, even if it means cheating, and as per who put her name in the goblet will be punished severely.
"But..."
"I have made inquiries in the Ministry, and we have check the castle for imposters, Harry Potter." She told sternly. "Thta is not the case at the moment. Your daughter is nit in danger from any death eater!"
"How can she compete!?" Ginny demanded, "She's eleven!"
"I know, Mr. Wood insists there will be no exception, even for the chosen one's only daughter!"
"Then?" Harry asked. "What does it mean for Lily?"
"It means," McGonagall told him. "That she has to compete in the Triwizard Tournament...but I'll see that she gets all the help she needs."
"Lily...!"
"Hmm?"
"Are you awake?" Melissa turned to look at her. It was dark, and everyone was asleep.
"Yes," Lily rooled over to the other side.
"How do you feel?"
"Okay, I guess...not thrilled about it, but it's okay, everything, this, will be okay!" She reassured herself more than she assured Melissa. Mavis was sleeping with Melissa, she was snoring softly.
"Good," She smiled. "We'll help you, I will, Albus, Fred, Rose, and James." She told her, "I bet McGonagall will too!"
"That is amazing as it is," Mavis woke up, "But what I would like to know, that why would you put your name in? Or How?"
"I didn't!" Lily said indignantly.
"Mav!" She looked at her sister. It was unlike of Mavis to doubt people.
"I was talking to a Ravenclaw student, and she said it is possible you could have easily put it in." She shrugged.
"But I didn't!"
"If you say so!" Mavis turned and pulled her blanket away, She didn't believe her. And Lily knew that. Lily turned the other way, as she whispered Goodnight to Melissa.
Melissa Dudley was torn between her sister and her best friend. She did not know who to believe.
