She patted his shoulder,
"If I may," She continued, "I haven't failed in pranking you and James, my yearly...You never see it coming!"
Albus nodded, laughing.
"Good luck anyways!"
She went over to the Great Hall.
"OH MY GOD! THE YOUNGEST CHAMPION OF THE TRIWIZARD TOURNAMENT!"
"Oh My God..." She looked at the woman who came towards her. "Marie Skeeter..." She murmured.
"Are you late so everyone will notice you?!" A small paper pad and magical quills followed her. "I think your father had the same…."
"Am I what?"
Lily gagged.
"No!" She almost shouted, "I was talkin..."
She took a deep breath, she had to do something. She was here for revenge, not to get angry about it.
"I am..." She took out her phone. She turned on the video camera.
"What is that?" Marie asked,
"Just a mirror!" Lily told her.
Lily and Marie Skeeter sat down in front of Max Karkowitch who was the only other contestant in the Third Task.
"Hi, little girl." Max smiled at her.
"Hi...Big guy..."
He laughed good humoredly.
"I guess...I should have seen that coming!" He told her.
Marie Skeeter sat in front of them.
"Both contestants are arguing." The Quill scribbled. "If Karkowitch's opponent wasn't a little girl he would probably..."
Max looked horrified.
"Doesn't matter, he just tried to hit an eleven year old girl!" The quill scribbled.
"I didn't..." He was lost for words, "I would never..."
He spluttered for words.
"I never...I am, I didn't do..." He started at the paper pad. "What the hell?"
"He is so angry, and Ms. Potter has her wand but she likes to be a damsel in distress..."
"Don't..." Lily murmured softly. "Don't do anything...Just act normal!"
He squinted, looking at her. But he backed down. He didn't say another word. Fuming quietly, as the quill scribbled insults and lies quickly.
Lily was video taping the whole conversation, took several photos of the parchment.
She had all the things she needed.
"I have to go!" She got up quickly.
"If she is going, I am going!" Max stood up and followed her.
"Karkowitch is a sick man with a crush on an eleven..."
"What the hell?" Max shouted.
"MAX, MAX! MAX!!!!" Lily shouted, as Max ran around the room trying to catch the paper pad. "Let go!"
"But?!!"
"Let it go...I have something better to show you!" She waved her phone.
"YOUR FACE?" Marie Skeeter laughed at her.
"No..." Lily stood at the end of the door, "Your Face!"
Marie Skeeter looked at her, much confused. And insulted. Even though Lily hadn't said anything insulting. She waved her wand, and the door slammed close.
Only a week before the third task, the Weasley-Potter-Granger family were seated at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall. They were all nervous for Lily. James and Fred were giving her advice. Rose and Hugo were scribbling spells on parchment furiously. Albus was trying to calm her nerves. Lily was feeling kind of suffocated, and she was glad when she saw Melissa running inside.
"Oh my God, oh My GOD!!! LILY!!!" She huffed as she sat between Lily and Hugo. "This is AMAZING!!! How did you do it????"
"Do what?" Fred asked.
"What did she do?" James asked.
"They…Everyone…She.." She huffed. "What…I am.."
Hallie, the Potter family owl, came flying in and landed on Lily's shoulder and took a small piece of bread from her hand.
"Thank you, Halles." She smiled.
She unrolled the brown paper. It was a copy of the Daily Prophet.
"Oh My God!" Lily slapped her fists on the table. "It's here! It is here!"
She unrolled it. It was a picture of Marie Skeeter on the front page.
"FIRED!!!!!"
It was an article by an anonymous writer.
"Told you not to mess with me, Skeeter!" She whispered, "Didn't I tell you not to mess with me?"
"Woah, Lils." Albus told her, "Super villain vibes, Lily!"
"You did this?" Rose looked at her, horrified.
"Yes, I did." She smiled, standing up.
"Lily?" James looked at her. "What did you do?"
"Ms. Potter, come here." Minerva McGonagall waved to her from the other side of the Hall. "You and Mr. Max Karkowitch have some news to go through."
"Yes, Professor McGonagall!" She said, "Right away."
Lily quickly scrambled up and picked her books. She quickly ran to the door.
"Lily!" James shouted. "How did you do this?"
"Lily Luna Potter!" Fred shouted at her. "How did you…how did you do it?"
Lily turned around.
"I don't spill my secrets, brother!"
Melissa opened the front page.
"Marie Skeeter has been fired for publishing false information about….."
"She did it." Melissa sighed. "She really did it."
Lily Potter had sent the video tape she made from Melissa's phone. She had asked her aunt Hemrione Granger to help her with the article and sent it.
