The applause died down after almost fifteen minutes. Lily Potter was over the moon excited to go to the hospital wing and tell Melissa everything. She was stopped to take photos and statements from her parents.

"Mr. Potter! Ms. Potter!" Reporters ran after them, "A word! A WORD!"

Professor McGonagall controlled the people around them.

"You know what happened to the previous reporter." Lily raised her hand, "And, if you make up stories like Skeeter again…"

She said, warningly.

"I will have your jobs."

Ginny and Ron hid their laughter. Lily Potter had definitely inherited her mother's fiery nature.

"The perks of being the only daughter of the Chosen One." She said smugly.

She turned around and saw Ginny Weasley standing behind her. Hiding her smiles behind a stern face. Oh how she wished her brother Fred was here to see Lily. They certainly would have a bond like she did with George.

"Oh, hi…Mom." Lily swallowed. "I didn't mean…"

"Ms. Potter.." A reporter shouted at Lily.

"I gotta go." Lily told her mother.

"LILY….." Ginny started to say but Lily ran away before her mother could dole out punishments.

"Let it go, Gin." George Weasley came up behind them, "The kid has gone through a lot."

She nodded.

Lily Potter ran towards the castle, zooming past the reporters and the press and entered the Hospital Wing.

"Melissa?" She came inside the room but stopped when she saw Mavis standing by the bed.

She would have gone inside but she didn't want to disturb Mavis. Lately, she had been getting the feeling that Mavis didn't like her. Or maybe she was feeling left out because Melissa had been so busy with school.

"I am sorry, Melissa."

She heard Mavis crying. She would have left the sisters alone but she came back when she heard it.

"It was me." Mavis was crying. "Madam Pomfrey says if you feel protected or explained to…you will feel better."

Lily froze. She knew this was wrong. But, she had to know what was that secret that had Mavis so upset. Why had she changed so much from the time when they had first met? She was so changed. She had become reserved and upset with the Granger-Weasley-Potter clan.

"I put Lily's name in the cup when I came for Halloween." She said, tears ran down her cheeks. "McGonagall was right….I shouldn't have come here to see what a life you have here. It's not mine. It's better I don't see it. I will not come again, Melissa. Just wake up."

She held her sister's hand,

"I thought if Lily got busy with the tournament, you would have time for me!" She closed her eyes. "But, the opposite thing happened. I hate myself. I am sorry, Mel. I am so sorry!"

"What the hell?"

Lily didn't realize that James and Fred had followed her back to the castle to congratulate her. It was James who had shouted.

"You did what?" Fred's mouth dropped like a fish.

"I am sorry." Mavis turned.

She could have objected that they listened to her private conversation. But, she couldn't. She didn't. How could she?

"What did you do, Mavis?" Rose and Hugo followed.

"I can't believe it!" James said angrily and walked out.

"James!" Mavis shouted.

Fred walked after him.

"Fred!"

He didn't listen either.

"Rose."

"Lily….stop." Mavis was reduced to tears. "Please….don't."

"How could you do this?" Lily shook her head, "i almost died. Melissa almost died! What is wrong with you?"

"I am sorry. I am sorry…." Mavis cried.

But, Lily Luna Potter was angry. And, like her mother she didn't listen to reasoning when she was angry. She stormed off. Only a few minutes ago, she had been ecstatic about winning one of the most difficult tournaments there were.

"Listen to me!" Mavis ran after her cousins who didn't look back. "Please..please."

Melissa Dursley woke up six hours later, having heard everything. She was angry just like them all. How could Mavis do this? Harry Potter was angered beyond words. Everyone had thought it would be Ginny who would fire up like she always did and everyone would have to walk on eggshells for at least a month on the risk of being hexed. But, she was calm and it was Harry who was mad. And, for the life of him…he couldn understand why he was so angry at a girl who was not much older than his own little princess.

The school year ended at a glorious party in the Gryffindor common room and Mavis, who really wanted to be there to apologize, was sent home by Professor McGonagall with a ban. Mavis was sent home and was never allowed to step foot in Hogwarts ever again.
