Glory's PoV
Glory ran over to Tsunami when she saw her standing by the school doors. "Hi, Tsunami!" she called.

"Hey, Glory! How was-" Tsunami was cut off as someone familiar came over.

"Well, if it isn't Glory," Deathbringer Nightflame smirked as he strutted over. "How was your summer, sweetheart?"

Glory sighed with exasperation. "It was good, and before you ask, what I did is none of your business. Also, stop calling me sweetheart, I'm not your girlfriend. Aren't you dating, like, Sienna [random name, not referring to anyone in particular] or someone?"

"Oh, Sienna? We broke up. I'm not dating anybody right now," Deathbringer said carelessly. "I've been trying for three years now, Glory. Why won't you date me?"

"I've said this like ten million times, but I don't like you," Glory snapped harshly. She wasn't actually sure if she believed her words. Deep down, she did, but Deathbringer was the playboy of the school and she didn't want to get hurt. She didn't have good experiences with relationships in the past; everyone only wanted to date her for her money and her looks. "Now, please leave me and Tsunami alone; we have a lot to catch up over." Glory grabbed Tsunami by the arm and marched her away.

"Glory, when are you just going to admit your feelings? I know you do like him, deep down," Tsunami asked.

"I don't!" Glory cried. But as soon as the words were out of her mouth, she started doubting it. "Anyway, before we got interrupted by that annoying little piece of shit [don't hate me, I don't hate Deathbringer; I just thought that Glory would probably say something like that], what did you do over the summer?"

"I had a terrific summer! I watched BLACKPINK [any Blinks reading this story?] perform at Coachella, and by the way, do you know that they're having a concert here sometime around the end of this month?" Tsunami recounted.

"I heard about that! I'm so excited for it," Glory said. "Will your mom let you go? I'll ask Grandeur if I can go, but I'm pretty sure she'll say yes."

"Probably. Ever since I performed 'Set Me Free Pt. 2' last year, she's been more laid-back. Anyways, I gotta go, see you in Science class!"

"Bye!" Glory called. She headed off to her homeroom, and started wondering about the whole Deathbringer thing again. Maybe she should give him a chance.
