Chapter 3: Shadow Moon's Search
In a desert, near a canyon, far from Acme Acres, Shadow Moon, Asakura Takeshi and a group of Shocker Combatmen had just arrived to investigate the signal Dr. Shinigami. "This looks like Looney Tunes Land," said Shadow Moon.
"So, where do we start searching?" asked Asakura. Shadow Moon then saw a sign that read, "Visit Acme Acres, capital of Looney Tunes Land".
"There," said Shadow Moon. Just then, the group of villains saw the Roadrunner (Speedius Demonicus) being pursued by Wile E. Coyote (Persistantus Predatorious) using an Acme rocket powered bicycle. The two were heading toward the edge of the canyon. Roadrunner executed a sharp turn and ran away from the edge of the canyon and past Wile E. Wile E. and his bike went off the edge, but didn't fall yet. Suddenly, the jet engines on the bike shorted out. Wile E. held out that said, "Oh poop." Coyote and his bicycle then fell toward the bottom of the canyon. When Wile E. Coyote and bicycle hit the ground, the jet engines exploded. The smoke cleared up and Wile E. staggered to his feet and walked away, black as soot. Shadow Moon and Asakura Takeshi were just baffled at what they just saw.
"That coyote! He fell a thousand feet from that cliff, got caught in the explosion of his jet bike afterwards and yet he's still alive?! Someone who isn't genetically altered or have powers shouldn't have been able to survive that!" cried Asakura.
"We'll worry about that later, Asakura. Right now, we have to get to the location of the signal," said Shadow Moon.
"Right," said Asakura. The two villains and their soldiers then began to head in the direction of Acme Acres.
They arrived in a part of town that was more crime infested. "This is the weirdest place we've been to as of today. We've seen people cheat death after falling off cliffs, getting fried by explosions and getting squished by heavy objects. We've also saw residents whose traps only go off when the one who set it to begin with is the one who triggers it. And people who can stretch their bodies like rubber to dodge attacks. Nothing makes sense in this crazy town, Shadow Moon," said Asakura. Shadow Moon was in deep thought, thinking about what they've seen.
I wonder if there's a way we can unlock the secret to the residents' physic defying feats and use it to create new soldiers, thought Shadow Moon. The S.H.O.C.K.E.R. agents stopped outside an abandoned building.
"The signal came from that building," said Shadow Moon.
"From that dump?" asked Asakura.
"Yes. Let's go," said Shadow Moon. The group of villains opened the door and saw the hallway was empty. They tiptoed in as quietly as they could. As they wandered through the hall, a Shocker Troop heard a noise and pointed to a door ahead of them. "In there," said Shadow Moon. They approached the door and Shadow Moon peeked through the keyhole. Inside the room was a laboratory with a human male scientist at work. "That must be the one who sent the signal to S.H.O.C.K.E.R. HQ. Let's find out what is his purpose," said Shadow Moon. Shadow Moon opened the door to the scientist's lab. The scientist heard the door open and turned around and saw the S.H.O.C.K.E.R. agents. "Are you the one who sent that signal to us?" asked Shadow Moon.
"Why . . . yes. I am," said the scientist.
"Who are you anyway?" asked Asakura.
"I am Dr. Gene Splicer. A scientist in the field of genetic splicing. I heard of your organization from inter dimensional travelers," said the Scientist.
"I see our reputation proceeds us. Now state your business on why you sent us that signal," said Shadow Moon.
"Why, I hope to have your help on getting revenge on some enemies of mine. These two bunnies right here," said Dr. Gene Splicer. He took out a photo of Buster & Babs Bunny.
"If we do agree to help you, there is something you must do in return," said Shadow Moon.
"What's that?" asked Dr. Gene Splicer.
"You must pledge your loyalty to our organization. And also, there is something that's peaked my curiosity. Ever since Asakura and I got here, we noticed that the residents here have done stuff that defies the laws of physics. They survived stuff that would kill a normal person such as falling off cliffs, bomb explosions and large objects crushing them. What is their secret?" asked Shadow Moon.
"Alright. I'll join you and I'll tell you everything you know," said Dr. Gene Splicer.
"You can explain it to our Great Leader as well," said Shadow Moon.
That's right. Dr. Gene Splicer is one of the villains for this story. And now, S.H.O.C.K.E.R. is going to recruit him to their cause. Next chapter, Fifi and Jean-Claude meet somebody new in town . . .
