Author's note: I know I said I'd wait for TheDragonSaver to finish 'Magical World Grand Prix' before publishing another chapter, but the story is near its conclusion, and I strongly doubt it's gonna have an impact on this chapter continuity-wise. Plus, my summer break has begun, and I just can't wait to have fun!

"Finally!" Logan deeply sighed as he exited the Disney's Wresting Discipline Center alongside his beloved Destiny after a long day of training with his young students. "The day is over... You know what it means?"

"Yup! It's the start of summer!" the floating whale shark cheerfully answered. She had been waiting so long for this moment. Logan was still supposed to teach pro wrestling during the summer, but with a lighter schedule, meaning the two of them would get to spend more time doing activities together outside the training center. "You know what this means?"

"I sure do; two months of pure fun for the two of us," Logan confirmed, kissing his beloved aquatic girlfriend on the cheek.

"So? What do you wanna do first?"

Logan rubbed his little beard to think about it. The heat was pretty intense in Animal Kingdom, giving him an idea. "I know! The heat is already hard here, so it's bound to get even worse during summer. To fix this, what do you say we kick things off by going to the Winter Wonderland itself?"

Destiny blinked her eyes curiously at this. "You wanna go somewhere cold like winter? But I thought you liked warm environments."

"No, no, that's not what I meant! I was suggesting going to Blizzard Beach this afternoon to cool down and have fun in the water," Logan corrected. "Gabriel and Jasiri went there last summer; they told me it was super fun. I've always wanted to see it with my own eyes and try the slides."

"Playing in the water? Any time!" Destiny beamed.

Following a brief detour at Logan's residence, the young couple arrived at Blizzard Beach. It looked exactly as Gabriel and Jasiri described it: a giant ski resort that had water slides instead of pistes. It seemed like a popular time to be there, as many guests and characters piled up to escape the intense heat in the cool water.

"So that's the famous Mount Gushmore I heard so much about," Logan remarked while staring at the hill towering over the entire park. The young Dream Defender pulled on turquoise swimming trunks and blue sandals, with his red cap always on his head and a towel resting on his shoulders. "It must be at least eighty feet high; no wonder it's the fifth highest point in Florida."

"Are you sure it's supposed to be a water park? It looks more like a ski lodge to me," Destiny remarked. Taking her human form, she pulled on the one-piece swimsuit patterned after her usual whale form, hat and sunglasses she had bought earlier. Logan had to focus to avoid getting flustered when she pulled it on.

"Actually, this is an interesting story," Logan explained. "See, according to old Disney legends, a snowstorm hit this region a long, long time ago, an almost non-existent occurrence in Florida. Wanting to take advantage of the situation, the Magical World's higher ups decided to build a ski resort, but the Floridian heat eventually returned, melting all the snow. The resort was supposed to be closed, when somebody turned the entire situation around."

"Who? Destiny asked.

"That would be me!" They turned around to see an alligator with ice-blue scales, a white underbelly, a magenta scarf wrapped around his neck and a white and magenta stripped Christmas hat on top of his head.

"Oh my gosh, Ice Gator?!" Logan exclaimed. "Destiny, this is Ice Gator, the founder of sorts and mascot of Blizzard Beach."

"You founded this place? How?" Destiny asked.

"Aww, a funny memory indeed. When the ice started melting, the former ski slopes started to look like the biggest water slides I had ever seen. Unable to resist the temptation, I did some 'water-skiing' and ended up crashing through the roof of the nearby Beach Haus. This whole experience inspired the resort owners to transform Blizzard Beach into a water park while keeping the ski resort aesthetic. They made me the mascot since I gave them the idea, and I've been allowed to play on the slopes with my niece ever since."

"Wow, what a story," Destiny said. "I'm Destiny, by the way. This is my boyfriend, Logan."

"Is this your first time here?" Ice Gator asked.

"Yeah. Since you're one of the most familiar characters with this place, where would you recommend us to begin?" Logan questioned the alligator.

Ice Gator led Logan and Destiny to Meltaway Bay, a large wave pool located at the base of Mount Gushmore that was constantly fed by the melting snow from the mountain itself. Since it was their first time, he strongly recommended starting with something soft. The three friends happily hopped in the cool water to escape the heat and simply began swimming around. They eventually engaged in a splashing battle, which Logan easily lost against the two aquatic creatures.

"That was fun!" Destiny beamed when they exited the wave pool about one hour later, drying herself with a towel. "What next?"

Logan thought about it for a moment before turning to his reptilian guide. "Say, Ice Gator-"

"Dude, just call me I.G.; it's shorter."

"Okay then, I.G., what's the most popular attraction here?"

The blue alligator pointed at the top of Mount Gushmore from where a long slide protruded for what looked like a hard fall. "The most popular attraction? That would be Summit Planet over there."

"It looks huge!" Destiny remarked while holding a hand above her eyes to clearly see the attraction.

"You can say that again! Summit Planet is the flagship attraction of Blizzard Beach, standing at 120-feet tall, and able to reach a falling speed of 60 miles an hour. It has the honor of being the second tallest and fastest free-fall slide in the world," Ice Gator explained.

"60 miles?! That sounds kinda dangerous," Destiny said. She looked at her boyfriend. "Are you sure you wanna try this, Logan?"

"No worries, Destiny," Logan assured with a wave of his hand. "If we can fight Heartless and cross oceans, then we won't back down before a little tall slide, will we?"

Unfortunately for the Dream Defender, the slide at the top of Mount Gushmore was really, really high. The more stories he climbed up with his friends, the more his heartbeat increased. Upon getting to the top, they got a great view over the entire water park and even some of the other Disney Kingdoms and resorts in the distance.

"Wow. This is high. Very... high...," Logan mumbled, his hands shaking and his heart beating all the way to his shoulders as he nervously took place on the slide.

"Don't worry, buddy; it always seems scary at first, but once you do it, it's one of the most amazing Blizzard Beach experiences ever!" Ice Gator encouraged the young man. "Just keep your legs straight and cross your arms over your chest like this. Got it?"

Logan nodded and did as he was told, taking a deep breath. "Alright, stay cool, Logan. You got this, you got this, you got thi-IIIIIIIS!" The slide operator let go of Logan, making him fall down the vertical slide at tremendous speed. Destiny waited for him to move out before doing the same, cheering as she did so.

"That was massive, ha, ha, ha!" the human shark whale laughed as she stepped out of the slide. She spotted her boyfriend standing with his eyes wide open, as if he just saw a ghost. "Come on, Logan, it wasn't that bad. It only lasted, what, five seconds?"

"Yeah... Five seconds of pure adrenaline..."

With the big attraction out of the way, the group went to the second slide of the Green Slope section: Slush Gusher. While not as high as Summit Planet, Slush Gusher had the distinction of having two little hill drops that gave butterflies to Logan and Destiny's stomachs. It lasted longer than the previous slide, and for a second, Logan could swear he broke contact with the metallic surface.

It was now time for the world's longest "family white-water raft ride": Teamboat Springs. Logan preferred water raft rides over slides, as he felt safer in these aquatic vehicles along with being slower. The three of them took place inside a big blue raft and laughed as they fell down, spinning and swinging all around. Teamboat Springs may not have been as fast as Summit Planet, but it lasted longer and moved a whole lot more, forcing Logan, Destiny and Ice Gator to hold on tight to their raft.

"At this rate, I'm gonna drop my dinner before supper time rolls around," Logan remarked, clutching his stomach as he stepped out of the raft.

"Don't worry, my friend; we're done with the Green Slope attractions now. The next one will be softer," Ice Gator assured the young Dream Defender.

"Too bad; these slides made me feel like the East Australian Current," Destiny remarked, still feeling butterflies in her stomach.

Ice Gator took his two friends to the Cross Country Creek, also known as 'Lazy River', a water connection where guests could let the flow carry them on floaters from one part of the park to another. But first, they entered an ice cave that had melting ice on the ceiling, splashing all the guests from above. While Logan got caught by surprise, Ice Gator already knew it was supposed to happen, and Destiny was already used to cold water anyway. They came out of the CCC at the merchandise section near the park's entrance, as Logan wanted to take a break from the slides and see if he could get something interesting to buy.

The first store they visited was the Beach Haus souvenir shop. It did offer a wide variety of things to buy, but Logan ultimately decided not to take anything. Before leaving, they took notice of an alligator-shaped hole in the front wall of the shop's building. "What the heck is that?" Logan asked.

"That's me!" Ice Gator announced. "Don't you remember? I told you that I was the first to try the unofficial water slides of the ski lodge and ended up crashing through a roof of the Beach Haus."

"Okay, but that hole is in the wall; not the roof," Logan pointed out. "What does that mean?"

"... Let's go to the next slides, shall we?" Ice Gator suggested and dragged his two friends away.

The trio went to do the slides of the Red Slope section next. It only had a multi-slide attraction in the form of an inner tube run featuring two open and one enclosed tube slides. The experience was similar to Teamboat Springs, but for single persons instead of a whole group. The enclosed tube was a pretty intense experience, as the lack of light prevented them from seeing where the turns and twists would come from, catching their poor stomachs by complete surprise.

It was now time for a little racing competition as the trio headed over to the Purple Slope section, known for its racing attractions. They kicked it off with Downhill Double Dipper (or Triple D, as Ice Gator liked to call it) that consisted of two side-by-side racing slides with the goal of reaching the end first. Of course, Ice Gator easily won all three races due to being a reptile with a smooth underbelly and Destiny unable to take on her whale shark form because she wouldn't fit in the tubes. At least she won the race against her boyfriend, but that was a close one.

The next attraction was Snow Stormers, where Logan and his friends had to lay on their tummies over the toboggan style mat as they rode down the flumes. Logan felt uneasy throughout the descent, as his instincts feared running head-first into a wall and potentially damaging his spine. After everybody went down, it was time to conclude with the last of the nine main slides: Toboggan Racers. Eight participants were to lay on mats and descend "snow slopes" along the side of Mount Gushmore at the same time, with the first one down winning.

"I can't believe I didn't win a single race," Logan grumbled to himself. After finishing all the slides, the trio went to play a little longer in the Meltaway Bay before drying up and going to get a snack at the Lottawatta Lodge. Logan got himself a cheeseburger with French fries and a vanilla milkshake. Destiny opted for a shrimp roll and some water in a bottle. Finally, Ice Gator went for the pepperoni flatbread, chicken strips and a Frozen Blue Raspberry Lemonade.

"Don't be too hard on yourself, young one. You were up against two aquatic animals after all," Ice Gator comforted Logan with a little chuckle as he re-adjusted the scarf around his neck. "So? What did you think of your first day at Blizzard Beach?"

"It was amazing!" Destiny beamed. "I know I lived most of my life in water, but I don't recall the last time I actually experienced so much fun in it. We're totally gonna come back here during our summer vacations, right, Logan?"

"Sure, I don't see why not," Logan replied with a smile. "Though I'd like to visit Typhoon Lagoon and Volcano Bay as well."

The trio had a good time chatting around a good meal until they finished eating. With the sun starting at the horizon and the guests slowly leaving, Logan and Destiny understood it was time for them to go. They bid farewell to their blue alligator friend with the promise to return one day before hitting the road.

The young couple returned to Logan's home, sighing at the cool interior air, and sat down in the living room without changing their swimsuits. "What do you wanna do now?" Destiny asked her boyfriend with a tired tone.

"How about we turn on Disney+?" Logan suggested, reaching for his controller to go on his favorite streaming service. "Summer has begun, so it's the perfect time to start watching all the shows I want to see since forever, starting with the original Ducktales show."

"Alright. I got a feeling this summer's gonna be a lot of fun," Destiny said and kissed her little owl on the cheek as he started the 80s cartoon.

Author's note: Summer season has begun for the Dream Defenders! Let's wish them a lot of fun and adventures!

While re-reading 'Living in the Magical World', I was reminded how much fun it was to see Gabriel and Jasiri spending some chapters just having fun with their friends. One such chapter was the one at Blizzard Beach. When thinking about my past experiences in Disney World, I realized I never actually went to Blizzard Beach before. So, I told myself: "Why not kick off Logan's summer with a little trip to where I've never been before in the Magical World?"

The character of Ice Gator is not only the mascot of Blizzard Beach, but also it's founder of sorts, according to what I've read online. This caught me a bit by surprise; I would've expected such an important character to appear in LITMW's Blizzard Beach chapter. Since it didn't happen, I decided to include him in this chapter, serving as Logan and Destiny's guide.

Before concluding this AN, I wanna make a great announcement to all my friends: I'm gonna go back on vacations to Disney World this fall! It's so awesome! I can't wait to return to the Magical World and do all the things I love so much there, see what's new, and just get immersed in Disney's endless magic!

Next chapter: Logan and Destiny make a new friend who's got the sense of rhythm.
