Logan had invited Destiny, Della Duck, Ezra Bridger and Sprig Plantar over to his home in Animal Kingdom to spend some time together between friends. At the moment, everybody was in the living room, Logan, Destiny, Della and Ezra were playing a 4-player coop zombie survival video game whilst Sprig was just standing back and encouraging his friends due to his limited experience with human technology.

"Guys! Guys! I'm almost out of ammo! I need help!" Logan exclaimed.

"Hold on; I'm coming!" Della called back, nervously pressing on all the buttons of her controller.

Destiny was yelling in panic. "They're eating me! Aaaah!"

"Destiny, why aren't you using your close range weapon?"

"How do I do that?"

"By pressing triangle; I already told you many times!"

"Calm down; you know I'm not as familiar with these electronic things as you are!" the humanized whale shark defended herself.

"Get over here, Destiny! I'll give you a med kit!" Ezra called while doing what he could to survive.

"Here's the safe room! We must reach it to end the level!" Logan yelled at his companions. "Come on, come on, let's move!"

"We get it, stop stressing us out, Logan!" Ezra yelled back.

"Missed, you won't get me, almost there... YES!" Logan beamed in joy as the team made it to the safe room, signaling their success. He happily kissed his girlfriend.

"Alright! We totally showed those dead skulls not to mess with us!" Della beamed, exchanging a high-five with Ezra.

"Nice job, everyone!" Sprig praised his friends while hopping all around on the couch. "I never knew that playing cheerleaders was so much fun, eh, eh."

Logan got up from the couch. "This calls for a little celebration; I'm gonna get us some snacks and drinks in the kitchen. We can attack the next level after." As he walked toward the kitchen, the young Dream Defender couldn't help but happily think about how awesome his summer was turning out to be so far. He could see his girlfriend every day, didn't have to stress out on his pro wrestling teaching thanks to his lighter schedule, got to have fun with his friends many times, reunited with his old pal, Tomada, and could finally catch up on all the movies and series he wanted to see. Of course, the whole episode with Nigel wasn't all fun and games, but the good definitely outweighed the bad.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

Before he could reach the kitchen, a knocking sound was heard from the front door. He walked over to it and opened to see a little hornbill standing before his residence. "Oh, hi, Zazu, what's up?"

"Greetings, Mr. Jindrak," the majordomo of the Pride Lands politely saluted the Dream Defender with a bow. "You might want to tone down whatever you're doing in here a little; I could hear all the commotion even before landing."

"Yeah, I was just playing some video game with my friends in the living room," Logan explained. "Anyway, what brings you here today, Zazu?"

"I came to bring you a little message." Snapping his feathers, the hornbill made two objects appear out of nowhere: an envelope and a little plastic ball that seemed to contain a piece of paper. He handed both objects to the young human, who noticed the envelope was marked by a seal consisting of three familiar black circles.

"Is that Mickey Mouse's seal?"

"Indeed. This is a message coming from King Mickey himself," Zazu confirmed. "I'd avoid being rude and read it immediately, if I were you. Make sure to open the plastic container once you're done." The little bird opened his wings and took off to go deliver other messages across Animal Kingdom.

Logan returned in his house and into the living room whilst looking at the two objects in his hands. "Who was that, Logan?" Della asked.

"It was Zazu; he brought me a message and weird item from Mickey Mouse himself."

"Really? Quick, open it!" Destiny urged her boyfriend with excitation.

Logan tore the envelope open and unfolded the message he proceeded to read. All of his friends looked at him as he did so, noticing how his eyes seemed to open wider the lower he got on the piece of paper, his jaw slowly dropping open. By the time he finished reading the paper, he looked like he had seen a ghost and actually dropped the message on the floor.

"... Cheese... and... crackers... THIS IS AWESOME!" Logan beamed, as if he had won the lottery.

"What is it, Logan? Did you win a free lifetime supply of ice cream?" Ezra asked, confused by his friend's enthusiasm.

"No, even better, Ezra! Mickey Mouse made some arrangements with Hercules and Zeus; they're gonna hold a competition at the Olympus Coliseum!" Logan explained.

"A competition? So soon? It feels like the Magical World Grand Prix ended just a few days ago," Sprig remarked with rubbing his chin. "Anyway, what kind of competition are we talking about here?"

"It's based on a pro wrestling match I just so happen to be very fond of. It's called 'Royal Rumble' - except that for this competition, they're calling it the 'Hero's Rumble'," Logan explained. "It's a match that generally counts between twenty and forty participants, or fifty, if we wanna be crazy. For the Hero's Rumble, there's gonna be forty participants."

"And how is it gonna work?" Della asked.

"The Hero's Rumble rules are written on the message: two participants will begin the match inside the Olympus Coliseum, with another participant entering every three minutes. This will continue until all forty participants have entered the match. The goal in the Hero's Rumble is to eliminate the other participants by knocking them out of the fighting arena."

"Only that way? Can you get eliminated by getting hurt or submitting? Like in the Sorcerer's Arena?" Destiny asked.

Logan rubbed his chin and re-read the message. "I don't know; they don't mention it anywhere in the rules. Anyway, once all forty participants have entered and thirty-nine of them are taken out, the last one remaining is declared the winner of the match!"

"You can only eliminate the participants once all forty of them are in? That sounds kinda troublesome," Sprig remarked.

"No, Sprig; you can get eliminated as soon as you enter the match by being knocked out of the fighting zone," Logan clarified.

"And how do they decide the order of entrance for the participants?" Ezra asked.

"The entry numbers are randomly distributed to the participants by lottery. That's one of the things I love the most about this type of match; wondering who's gonna be the next person to enter the match and how it's gonna affect the situation. And now, it's gonna be the same thing with my favorite fictional characters!"

"That sounds really fun!" Destiny exclaimed with a smile. "Can anybody participate?"

"Yup! It's written in the letter that everybody is welcome to take part in the Hero's Rumble if they want to. You just have to register your participation to the Olympus Coliseum and then receive your entrance number by lottery."

"Do you know what you stand to win in this competition?" Della asked

"That's the other part that gets me excited; the winner of the Hero's Rumble will be given an actual championship belt that he or she can carry anywhere. The Sorcerer's Arena was meant to encourage teamwork, but the Hero's Rumble is meant to encourage individual strength. Mickey and Zeus affirm in this letter that carrying this championship belt will earn honor and respect."

Logan's friends all exchanged looks before looking back at him. "I'm sure this is gonna be great, as long as everybody participating has fun doing so. Say, what does all of this have to do with your item over there?" Destiny asked, pointing at the plastic container Logan was still holding.

"Mickey knows how much I love pro wrestling - he stated in this letter that it's in sorts thanks to me he got the idea for this competition. Knowing I'd want to participate, he already subscribed my name and sent me the very first entrance number from the lottery. The competition will only take place in one month; there's still a lot of time to subscribe."

"Really? That's amazing!" Della exclaimed, rubbing her hands together. "What are you waiting for? Open it!"

Logan did just that, opening the plastic ball and taking out the beautifully-decorated entrance ticket. The number was covered by a stick-on paper that Logan grabbed and slowly removed, sweat strolling down his forehead, and his friends all looking at it with attention and anticipation. With the paper off, the answer was...

... 'Entrant #1'

A dead silence fell upon the living room, Logan's face remaining comically still for many seconds. Then, his eye twitched a bit before he went to collapse head-first into his couch like a teenager who just broke up with his girlfriend. "I'M FINISHED!" he cried in an overdramatic way.

Destiny, Della, Ezra, and Sprig exchanged frowns before looking back at their crying friend.

Author's note: The time has come: the very first competition of this story, guys! After reading TheDragonSaver's Sorcerer's Arena Tournament and Magical World Grand Prix, I knew I wanted to write one competition as well. The Hero's Rumble is inspired by a real-life pro wrestling match called Royal Rumble, which happens to be one of - if not my most favorite match of all time. One day, I imagined a match like this in this story with OCs and characters from across the Magical World, and ultimately decided to give it a go.

I pretty much summed up the rules of the competition, but if you want a better idea of how it's gonna work, I recommend you to go watch one or two Royal Rumble matches on YouTube. If you do, then you'll understand that Logan's gonna have to push himself REALLY HARD if he is to win from the first entry spot.

You'll notice that I decided to keep this competition inside this story instead of publishing it as a different one; that's because I prefer keeping all my stories in one place instead of having to go through the process of publishing a new story over and over again. That being said, if you want your OC to participate in the competition, you will still have to send me your OC's information as with TheDragonSaver's competition stories.

Here's the information I need:

-Name:

-Gender:

-Species:

-Appearance:

-Personality:

-Powers, weapons, gadgets, and skills:

-Entrance (that's another thing I enjoy a lot about pro wrestling; the entrances. Your OC will get to enter the match to a song alongside special effects like lighting and pyro - even with a special attire or by use of magic, if you want. For example, your OC could enter to a AC/DC song with the arena plunged in the dark, arriving and turning them back on when the intense part of the song kicks in):

-What winning the Hero's Rumble would mean for him/her:

Please, take note that if you're the author of an OC I'm already familiar with, you won't have to send me absolutely ALL the information mentioned above. Just let me know who the OC is, what their entrance will be, if there's any change in terms of powers or appearance I should know of, and what winning the Hero's Rumble would mean for them. I will be accepting one OC and one character of Disney's properties per author/guest. You can send me your submission by review or by PM, though I'd prefer by review so that all the submissions' info will be in the same place instead of having to check through all my messages one by one whenever I need a submission's reminder.

The competition will not start next chapter as I want to write a few other chapters for fun as well as do some buildup to the Hero's Rumble. It'll also give me time to randomly select the entry numbers for the OCs and characters. If you have any question, send me a PM or a review, so we can discuss it. I look forward to seeing everybody wanting to compete in the Hero's Rumble!
