Okay, so… something tells me this chapter might be a little late. XD
I would say something to justify myself, but the truth is, writer's block is a betch, so let's just answer some reviews already:
1) Netcore: Probably.
2) Guest: This was the same case in the original version, so it's not that far fetched.
* I believe he is.
3) Nobody245:
* That's Society in a nutshell XD
* She's still a quirky girl, so there's that.
* Sometimes you gotta let Antagonists do their things, and hey, if both Antagonists are taken out, that's obviously a win, so why complain?
* Lincoln will have a harem eventually. It is the law of Loud House fanfiction.
4) Uroten: Thanks!
5) Mr. Haziq: we'll find out eventually, and take a wild guess.
6) Guest: Hmm, I had never heard of that headcanon before. How old is it?
And now, to the chapter!
Back where we left off, Team Ynovation and Lynn sat at a table with Darcy, the ghostly girl they were looking for, serving them imaginary tea on teacups.
"Playtime! Playtime! Playtime!"
"So, we're currently stuck playing house with a ghost girl," Lynn took a deep breath as she "sipped" her tea. "I gotta be honest, this isn't even the weirdest thing I've faced in a mission before."
"Tabby, are you ready to get us out of here?" Lincoln whispered to the girl with the goggles.
"I'm ready, but we gotta be careful," Tabby replied before looking at the giggling girl. "From the looks of it, she has complete control over the house."
"Then we must distract her first, but how do we do that?"
"Hey, Darcy, right?"
Everybody turned to see Giggles talking with the floating girl, who tilted her head and answered:
"Yup! I'm Darcy, and you are?"
"You can call me Giggles. Anyway, I was wondering, how did you bring your house into the outskirts of Royal Woods?"
"Actually, yeah, that's a legitimate question," Polly remarked. "How could a tiny girl like you bring a house this big anywhere?"
"It's simple, silly: I teleported it!" Darcy put the teapot down and sat in the air. "Ever since my Cliche awakened, I've had complete control over my house! I just need to think about it, and it becomes reality! Watch!"
Darcy closed her eyes and hummed, and in a split second, the normal environment of the house had transformed into a grassfield, with an open night sky.
"Ta-Dah!"
Lynn grimaced. "This little brat's stronger than I expected."
"Thank you!" Darcy giggled and flew to Lynn. "Say, you look the funniest out of everyone here! Why's that?"
"Oh, well, that's the result of my Cliche: Jersey Devil," Lynn shrugged. "It makes me look like the mythical cryptid of the same name."
"What's a cryptid?"
Lynn opened her mouth to answer, but quickly found herself with nothing to say.
"Well, whatever, you saw my Cliche, and the night is young!" Darcy rubbed her hands together. "Let's play a game after tea!"
"Should we do that?" Tabby whispered.
"It's in our best interest to keep this girl happy and occupied for now," Haiku whispered back. "If we get on her bad side, who knows what she could do to us."
"Sure, we'd love to play with you," Lincoln blurted, getting Darcy's attention. "What games do you have in mind?"
"Ehehehe, that's a secret," Darcy promptly sat down and poured some tea on a teacup. "For now, tea party!"
Everybody clashed teacups, and Team Ynovation and Lynn sipped their drinks while Darcy put the teacup down and began drinking directly from the teapot.
Back at the Loud House, Luna kicked the door open and walked inside, yawning as she walked in.
"I'm home!"
"Back already?"
Luna looked back to the door, and saw Lana, one of her younger sisters, getting ready to fix the door.
"I thought you had lookout duty today."
"I managed to get Sam to cover my shift for today," Luna answered while stretching. "Anyway, where's everybody?"
"They're eating in the kitchen, except for Lynn and Lincoln," Lana answered, focusing solely on the door. "Lynn had to go to work on some sort of haunted house."
"And what about Lincoln?"
Lana simply shrugged before going back to work. And naturally, Luna flew to Lincoln's room…
Only to find nobody inside.
"Ugh, Lincoln, why do you always have to get yourself in trouble?"
Back at the haunted house, Darcy moved several chairs to one spot while talking with Tabby:
"What does your Cliche do?"
"Well, simply put, it lets me travel through time!" Tabby tented her fingers. "But I also happen to be able to do something else with it."
"Oh?"
"I can send objects and even other people through time, too!"
"Whoa!" Darcy cheered. "That sounds illegal… I wanna see it!"
"Well, I'd be more than happy to show you, but we need a volunteer," Tabby gasped, and wrapped her arm around Lincoln. "I know! How about Lincoln here acts as a volunteer?"
Darcy opened her mouth… but quickly closed it and stared at Lincoln with confusion for a while.
"Is something wrong, Darcy?" Lincoln asked.
"Everybody else has some sort of hint as to what their Cliche is, but you don't," Darcy frowned. "Why's that?"
"Oh, well, you see…" Lincoln paused for a second to think over his words. "Okay, so, my Cliche is… kinda unique."
"How?"
"His Cliche is Edgelord," Lynn answered bluntly.
Team Ynovation looked sternly at Lynn, who shrugged and replied:
"Hey, I know my brother better than anybody else. If we leave him to spill the beans, we're gonna be here forever."
"Edgelord… I've never heard of that Cliche before," Darcy tilted her head. "Are you the first one to get it."
"Pretty much, yeah."
"Gasp! Then you must be an Outsider, just like me!"
At that, Lincoln scratched the back of his head. "The truth's a little more complicated than that, you see-"
*CRASH!*
Rubble phased through Darcy as the ghostly girl flew to Team Ynovation, looking with them in shock at the arrival of a certain someone.
A stern Luna.
"Great," Lynn growled. "Just what we needed."
