And now we come to the conclusion of the Haunted House arc! Wasn't that fun while it lasted?

I mean, if this wasn't such a minimalistic work, maybe yes, but still!

For now, let's answer some reviews:

1) Guest: That's very true.

2) Guest: We'll see soon.

3) Nobody245: Don't worry, this won't result in a bloodbath.

4) Mr. Haziq: Yup.

5) Guest: Huh, funny, I didn't really see anything like that back when I searched it. Definitely not when I was writing The Loud Sim Date or Chains of Reality.

6) Uroten: Thanks. Let's hope that's the case.

We'll see if that's the case. For now, we gotta get the story going.

And now, to the chapter!

Back where we left off, the team grimaced as Darcy looked at Luna, a wide, innocent smile on her face.

"Oh, a Superhero? I've always wanted to fight one of those!" Darcy clapped. "Tell me, are you one of those heroes who have a single superpower, or who have a dozen?"

Luna lunged straight for the girl, but Darcy turned intangible just as she reached her, phasing completely through her before she became solid again.

"Okay, so you can fly, that's one power: what else can you do?"

"Luna, don't get involved!" Lynn snapped, spreading her wings and flying up. "I was the one who was sent to deal with this Outsider!"

"Yeah, and in your infinite wisdom, you dragged Lincoln into this situation!" Luna snapped back. "Just stay back and let someone who knows what she's doing deal with this!"

Luna's eyes glowed and she shot an energy beam from them, which Darcy phased through no problem.

"Laser eyes! That's two powers! Yay!"

Luna growled and clenched her teeth before she tried to punch the ghost girl, who giggled as the Superhero threw punches and kicks at her, each failing to connect.

"Darcy, Luna!"

The two stopped fighting and Darcy became tangible as she and the Superhero looked down to see Lincoln with his hand raised.

"Instead of fighting, how about we do something else?!"

"Like what?!" Luna asked.

"Well, w-why doesn't Darcy tell us more about her?" Lincoln suggested. "I mean, it's a girl with a fancy dress who controls a haunted house! There's gotta be something interesting behind it!"

"My story?" Darcy hummed and scratched her chin. "Nobody's ever asked about my story before. Most people just try to shoo me away."

"And can you blame them?" Luna argued. "You bring your house right in the middle of nowhere to nobody's knowledge!"

Darcy tilted her head. "But it's not like I'm bothering anybody, right? I live far away from civilization!"

"Yeah, but you did invite people over to your house," Tabby pointed out. "At that point, it was only a matter of time before people got worried."

Darcy frowned. "But I'm not hurting anybody."

Then, she flew down to Lincoln. "I'm not, right?"

"Well, no," Lincoln folded his arms. "But at the same time, people don't tend to like things they can't understand."

Darcy lowered her head and looked at the ground, sporting a conflicted expression.

Lincoln stared at her for a while, and eventually, he spoke with a gentle tone:

"How about we go outside?"

Everybody gasped, with Darcy in particular looking outright terrified.

"Outside?! B-But I only have powers inside the house!" Darcy eyed Luna and Lynn fearfully. "And if I don't have powers…"

Lincoln put a hand on Darcy's shoulder, and flashed a reassuring smile.

"It's okay, I promise you that nobody's going to hurt you."

"If she acts nice," Luna added, earning a jab from Lynn.

Lincoln crouched down and extended his hand, keeping his reassuring smile as Darcy slowly but surely grabbed his hand.

After that, the two lead the way out of the house, Team Ynovation and the Loud sisters following behind.

As soon as Darcy walked out of the house, she stopped floating and hit the ground, though luckily she wasn't too high and she landed safely.

However, when they kept walking, Darcy did so wobbling around, which eventually caught Haiku's attention.

"You're not used to walking with your own feet, are you?"

Darcy shook her head.

"Well, I might know how to fix that."

Haiku summoned a crystal ball and levitated it just high enough to allow Darcy to sit on it. Once it floated up, however, the girl lost her balance and fell right into Haiku's arms.

"Okay, let's stick to the princess carry for now."

Darcy perked up. "Yay! I'm a princess!"

And so, with a princess being carried, the group walked to the edge, and from there they witnessed it.

The full view of Royal Woods, illuminating the nightly environment.

"It's so pretty… what is it?"

"That's Royal Woods," Lincoln answered. "Our home."

Darcy frowned. "You think it could be my home, too?"

"I mean, there's no issue with it, I think," Haiku shrugged. "We'll have to talk to the Indexing Council to see if you can officially move here, but it's a possibility."

"A possibility…" Darcy smiled and hugged Haiku. "I like the sound of that."

"So that's how Royal Woods looks during nighttime…" Luna remarked with melancholy.

Lynn raised an eyebrow. "You've never seen Royal Woods at nighttime?"

"I always fly straight from the atmosphere to home, so I never really… you know…"

"You could always just quiet the whole "overlooker" job, you know?" Lynn pointed out, putting her arms behind her head. "I mean, if you're always gonna come home complaining about the lack of anything happening, then what's the point?"

Luna lowered her head. "But… Royal Woods needs me…"

Lynn patted Luna's back. "You're far from the only Superhero in Royal Woods, I'm sure someone can pick up the slack for you."

Luna clenched her fist and turned back to the city, whispering:

"I hope so."
